Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18847A free open market can be understood as an interdisciplinary environment of social, cultural, symbolic, and economic relations. Starting from this premise, we conducted field research with three marketers from the city of São Sebastião da Boa Vista, located on Marajó Island in the Brazilian state of Pará. The objective of this article is to explore marketers’ practices and the so ciocultural context of free open markets to gather elements that can have a dialogue with school contents in an interdisciplinary perspective, particularly in the field of the Sciences, during Primary School years at a riverine school. After the research we carried out with the marketers, we had a pedagogical workshop for teachers from Professor Ruidemberg dos Santos Félix Primary School, with the object of answering the following research questions: (1) How the theme of free open markets can be employed to develop interdisciplinary work at a riverine Primary School?; (2) How the teachers can use the marketers’ practices to reconnect school contents in the classroom? (3) How can aspects of free open markets contribute to the teaching of Science in primary school in an interdisciplinary perspective? We used the following methodological procedures in a qualitative approach: bibliographical, documentary, and field research. We used field diaries, photography, semi structured interviews, and questionnaires register information. We concluded that non-formal educational spaces, such as free open markets, are constituted by practices, sociabilities, shared cultural knowledge, family bonds, appreciation for local cultures, and preservation of traditions. These elements, when considered as a whole, allow teachers to engage in an interdisciplinary pedagogical exercise in Marajó’s riverine schools, enriching students’ relationship with the social and environmental context in which they live.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/Educação do campo ribeirinhaInterdisciplinaridadeFeira livrePráticas pedagógicas nos anos iniciaisPráticas socioculturaisFeira livre e interdisciplinaridade na escola ribeirinhaDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::EDUCACAO::ENSINO-APRENDIZAGEMDOCÊNCIA E DIVERSIDADEEDUCAÇÃO EM CIÊNCIAS
