Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/2011/15970The present study was to investigate the perception of public managers about the use of indicators to evaluate and monitor the performance of those who work in public organizations, as well as to increase the transparency of the public institution results. For that end, a descriptive study was carried out, guided by a quantitative approach, with the application of questionnaires with 72 managers of the participating institution. The behavioral decomposition technique was used to create indicators, in which 27 competencies were decomposed into 97 performance indicators. The results showed that m anagers were able to relate the indicators to their respective competences and recognized their contributions to increasing the transparency of the institution's results.
