This paper presents a survey in the exploratory, descriptive, correlational type, cross-sectional, quantitative approach, containing narrative literature review and field research . Aiming to investigate the correlation of social support networks with quality of life of migrant students living in student houses, to achieve this goal we investigate the socio-demographic profile of migrant students living in student houses, the constitution of their social networks in respect to relative and significant friends, the quality of perceived social support and quality of life for ourselves. The survey was conducted in six existing houses students in Bethlehem, hosting students of secondary and higher education coming from the inner cities of Pará state, from other states and other countries. The instruments used were the Socio Demographic Inventory - ISD, Questionnaire Social Networking, the Social Support Scale - EAS and; Quiz Vision Mental Health - QSDM, focusing on KIDSCREEN 27. Regarding the results, the socio-demographic profile is composed of a majority of men, young with a mean age of 24.12 years; students are mostly Catholic religion; residents of College Student House - CEUP; coursing graduation; courses were the most frequent law and Nursing; approximately half of the students is in the first four semesters of graduation; are from urban areas in the state of Pará; owned economic classes C and B. On questions of social networking, this is formed by one or two families and two or three friends, thus constituting a small social network. When analyzing questions related to network functionality, regarding sports activities group, participation in meetings of neighborhood associations or employees, unions or parties, investigated in relation to the past 12 months has been that most students migrants participating in these activities, however only attend a few times a year, in relation to participation in voluntary unpaid work, such as non -governmental organizations (NGOs ) most students did not participate in activities with this slant in the last 12 months and among those involved have no such regularity frequente. No regard to social support data on the sample of this study indicate great support material, the Affective support, support Positive Interaction, Information support were presented as good, the support dimension emotional students showed a fair result, and when it comes to General Support most students have good support and only a minority point General Support lousy. The results of Correspondence Analysis Technique show full respect of the Support Material Support and Social Interaction, Psychological Welfare. Some results showed partial list, but still very strong: Supporting Social Interaction, Emotional Support and Information to Support Physical Welfare; Emotional Support, General Support to Psychological Welfare. The Support Material and Physical Welfare showed partial link between them, but weak. The dimensions of Affective Support and General Assistance not show significant correlation with the Physical Welfare, the Affective Support Support and Information showed no significant correlation with psychological well-being. Characterization of the sociodemographic profile emerges as a primary source data, supporter for formulation of reliable research conditions of migrant students living in student house. The results on the composition of the network obtained in this study reinforce the idea guiding this study - that social networks are reduced in the migration process. However, the results on the quality of perceived social support , make possible the idea that the relevant factor in assessing the quality of social support is related to the quality of relationships rather than the quantity of these. Highlights the importance of the quality of the relationships obtained in social networks and social support networks to achieve good levels of quality vida. No respect to the results regarding quality of life stands out here the influence of this size for a good fit before the changes caused by the entrance on the upper level and the migration process.
