Acesso em:.https://repositorio.ufpa.br/handle/2011/18108This research aims to investigate how the relationship between oil palm cultivation and labor analogous to slavery impacts the lives of women in the quilombola territory of Jambuaçu, located in the municipality of Moju, in the state of Pará, Brazil. The study adopts a mixed-methods approach, with a focus on qualitative data through documentary, bibliographic, and survey research. Secondary data were collected through bibliographic and documentary research, while primary data was obtained through interviews using questionnaires composed of both open and closed-ended questions. A total of 22 interviews were conducted with current and former employees of the company Marborges, all of whom are residents of the Jambuaçu quilombola territory, during the period from January to December 2024. The ages of the interviewees ranged from 18 to 73 years. The results revealed the profile of the women subjected to this form of exploitation, the impact that agro-industries have on the bodies-territory of the women of Jambuaçu, as well as the types of labor analogous to slavery to which they were subjected. It is concluded that this form of degradation of human life affects the construction of each woman’s subjectivity, altering their way of life.
