Differencesbetweenpeoples in thefieldofideas are characteristic: western thinkingisrevealed in a linear andfinite time, as "beginningandend", whilethethoughtoftheOrientalsisrevealed in a cyclicalandinfinite time. The preHispanicpeoples, althoughthey are partofthe West, maintain a thought similar tothatoftheEast, mainly in relationtomanandnature.
