Such transformations are linked to the new nexus of fragmentary globalization and intensification of socio-spatial inequalities in the peripheries of small, medium and large cities. Given the process of formation of this region, where it is characterized by socioeconomic vulnerability and has its mosaic constituted by a diversity of ethnic groups, the city of Ananindeua arises as a result of these contradictory social relations to the capitalist production of space, from successive, complex and diverse spatial practices. In light of this, we highlight the following central problem: How have the spatial practices of the community of João Pilatos on the island of João Pilatos been taking place, in the face of metropolitan socio-spatial fragmentation, in the northern territorial portion of the municipality of Ananindeua since the 2000s. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the spatial practices of the community of João Pilatos on the island of João Pilatos, in the face of metropolitan socio-spatial fragmentation, in the northern territorial portion of the municipality of Ananindeua from the 2000s onwards. The research presented here will have as its theoretical-methodological scope the conceptions of Spatial Practices, Territory and Socio-spatial Fragmentation. In addition, for the methodological procedures, we carried out qualitative approaches, cartographic production, fieldwork with systematized observations, semi-structured interviews and photographic records. The analysis is interscalar, since the research takes into account the understanding of spatial practices and the social, economic, political and cultural relations established in the territory. In addition, we used the research typology as a strategy Thus, the present dissertation is justified by the need to understand and reflect on how spatial practices have been characterized, in the face of the progressive urban transformations caused in recent decades caused by socio-spatial fragmentation, in addition to glimpsing the product of such a phenomenon in the daily life of riverside communities. From a practical point of view, the present work will allow subsidizing the local society, mainly, and the public power so that it can dialogue through relevant information to think about future activities related to the island and non-island communities on the outskirts of Belém.Acesso AbertoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 Internationalhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/UrbanizaçãoReestruturação urbanaFragmentação socioespacialPráticas espaciaisCartografia participativaUrbanizationUrban restructuringSocio-Spatial fragmentationSpatial practicesParticipatory cartographyFragmentação socioespacial e os territórios insulares: práticas espaciais da Comunidade de João Pilatos, porção insular norte de Ananindeua, ParáDissertaçãoCNPQ::CIENCIAS HUMANAS::GEOGRAFIADINÂMICAS TERRITORIAIS NA AMAZÔNIAORGANIZAÇÃO E GESTÃO DO TERRITÓRIO
