The island of Mosqueiro, a district of Belém-PA, known for its natural beauty and economic importance to the metropolitan region of Belém-PA, located in the northern region of Brazil, stands out as a place of great geological and geographical relevance. Farol Beach, located on Mosqueiro Island, stands out for its rich geodiversity, which significantly contributes to its landscape and tourist appeal. This study aims to analyze the landscape potential of Praia do Farol based on its geodiversity and investigate how this characteristic influences the perception of the local community. The methodology involves the characterization of the geological and geomorphological elements of the beach, as well as questionnaires administered to the residents. The results demonstrate that geodiversity not only enriches the local landscape but also plays a crucial role in the cultural identity and appreciation of the space by the community. The landscape potential and the perception of geodiversity are determinants for the sustainable use of natural resources and the preservation of ecosystems.
