The story of this character is found fragmented in the sixth, seventh and eighth novels of the Extremo Norte series, following the order: Primeira manhã (1967), Ponte do Galo (1971), Os habitantes (1976). This fragmentation is driven by changes in "productive instances of narrative discourse" (GENETTE, 1995) and the constant participation of the speech of the characters - "characters' discourse" (SCHMID, 2010) – in the constitution of Luciana's story. For this reason, it is understood that Luciana is a character whose setting needs to be further studied in order to understand how the discourse of the narrator, of the characters and of Luciana herself contribute to her composition as a character.
