Abstract: The present dissertation sought to analyze the contribution of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará (IFPA) of the Bragança's campus in the formation of Local Human capital (CHL) and its unfolding, starting from the premise that the Institutes of Higher Education, among them the Federal Institutes, are institutions of great importance for the formation of Human capital in the municipality where they work, offering knowledge, skills and attitudes to their graduates through their internal competencies (intangible assets). These were measured, based on the structure of the faculty of the campus, as to their degree of importance in the provision of knowledge, skills and attitudes to the graduates, from the perspective of the institution's managers, analyzed together and compared to the perception of the graduates themselves regarding the contribution of the institution in the formation of CHL. The methodological procedure used was based on a descriptive and exploratory analysis with quantitative and qualitative measurement. The results showed that the IFPA/Bragança’s campus has contributed to the formation of CHL in a significant and relevant way in the offer of knowledge, skills and attitudes to the graduates of the institution, however, they were not enough to guarantee employability in their area of formation.
