Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Diagnóstico da paratuberculose em bovinos de corte do estado do Pará - Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2005-04-01) SILVA, Érica Bandeira da; DIAS, Hilma Lúcia Tavares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4501155453484456514 blood samples from beef cattle were examined of to find anti- M. avium (subsp.) paratuberculosis antibodies, using commercial ELISA test kit. The animals from samples were all compous from cross between Indicus x Taurus race, between male and female, with two age class, over 36 months old and below 36 months old, from of the 23 municipality of Para State. Also were collected 100 samples of small intestine and mesenteric lymph nodes of bacteriological test through Ziehl-Neelsen method to detect the M. avium (subsp.) paratuberculosis. Were at random collected in slaughterhouse of Belem. In ELISA test, through these 514 samples, 182 (35,4%) were seropositive and 332 (64,6%) samples were seronegative. All the middle region were found soropositives animals. The female with over 36 months old presented larger response test, of the 92,06% seropositives animals. Among male the prevalency larger (76,79%,) were obtained between the most new, with below 36 months old. Of 100 samples stained through Ziehl-Neelsen method, not were found either Mycobacterium spp.. The conclusion, is the biggest number of seropositive animals of anti- M. avium (subsp.) paratuberculosis sign of disease is presented in all the regions studied, watching the risks of this disease with the elaborate more covering stud ies about the paratuberculosis with the appling of directs and indirects diagnosis methods.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estudo soroepidemiológico de Brucella abortus, Toxoplasma gondii e vírus da artrite encefalite caprina em rebanhos caprinos nas unidades produtoras dos estados do Pará e Maranhão(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-01-30) PIRES, Claudina Rita de Souza; DIAS, Hilma Lúcia Tavares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4501155453484456This study aimed at searching for the occurrence and frequency levels of the antibodies anti- Brucella abortus, Toxoplasma gondii and the Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis Virus (CAEV) in caprine from 14 distinct production units within the states of Pará and Maranhão. In the state of Pará, animals from the municipalities of Benevides, Castanhal, Santa Izabel do Pará and Moju have been analyzed, whereas in the state of Maranhão the study covered the municipality of Chapadinha. The serological tests accomplished with the purpose of diagnosing brucellosis disease were, the Buffered Acidified Plate Antigen test (BAPA), employed as triage test, and the 2-Mercaptoetanol (2-Me), as confirmatory test. For the toxoplasmosis analysis the Indirect Immunofluorescence Reaction (IIFR) and for CAEV the Agarose Gel Immunodiffusion (AGID) have been used respectively. The result of the brucellosis analysis has shown negativity in 100,0% of the studied samples. For toxoplasmosis and CAEV the respective incidences were 23,5% (97/412) and 21,6% (85/393). Statistical differences were observed in the relationship between anti-Toxoplasma gondii antibodies and the age of the caprines, showing that animals over 24-month old have undergone more risks of being infected when compared to animals at early ages OR=2,15 (IC95% 1,19 – 3,88). On the other hand, the risk factors found for CAEV were: lack of knowledge about the disease OR=6,45 (IC95% 2,88-14,47); the use of non - disposable materials, OR=10,85 (IC95% 4,85-24,28); the free-range farming system OR=10,85 (IC95% 4,85-24,28), the semi-extensive farming system OR=3,71 (IC95% 1,64-8,35) and handling procedures OR=11,4 (IC95% 5,51-23,60). It has been concluded that the caprine production units from Pará and Maranhão showed positive results for the studied diseases in their livestock.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Investigação soroepidemiológica para brucelose e leptospirose em equideos de tração e seus tratadores nos municípios de Belém e Ananindeua - Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-06-18) SANTOS, Wilson Rogério Rodrigues dos; DIAS, Hilma Lúcia Tavares; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4501155453484456The objective of the work was the detention of antibodies anti - Brucella abortus and anti - Leptospira interrogans in serum of equines and equine workers of the quarters of the cities of Belém and Ananindeua, enclosing the months from April to August of 2005, using for this end, 195 sanguineous serum of eqquines and 70 sanguineous serum of men that manipulated the animals direct or indirectly. For the research of reagents serum of animals to B. abortus, the tests used had been Antigen Acidified Test (AAT), as a selection test, and slow seroagglutination (SAL) and and the 2-mercaptoetanol (2-ME) as confirmatory tests. To Leptospirosis, the test used was of microscopical seroagglutination being carried through the selection of the serum front to the 25 serovars of L. interrogans, considering positive those samples with titulation equal or bigger that 100. Of 195 samples of equine sanguineous serum, 184 (94.87%) had been positive for all serovars analyzed, being that more frequent found: Patoc, Automnalis, Ictehaemohragiae, Pyrogenes and Bratislava. For the sanguineous samples of men, the positivity was of 49 (70%) of reacting serum, with the most detected serovars: Patoc, Ictehaemohragiae, Bratislava, Butembo, Copenhageni and Automnalis. Of the positive samples of equine and its respective workers, 47/70 (67.14%) were similar for same serovars of Leptospira spp., being that 2/70 (2.86%) samples had been negative in both the searched groups, 2/70 (2.86%) were only positive in humans and 19/70 (27.14%) were exclusively positive in the samples of equine serum. The quarters of Coqueiro, Guamá, 40 horas, Barreiro and Bengui had presented the biggest percentage of positive cases serum. It did not have significant difference in relation to the other studied variants, as: climate, age (animal and man), time of service (animal and man), species of the animal, props up corporal of the animal and degree of instruction of the man. As much in the animals how much in the men positive reactions for B. abortus had not been detected.
