Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Forjando-se imaginariamente mulher: um estudo sobre as representações de gênero das jovens no grupo de mulheres do Benguí(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-05-01) BRASIL, Roberta Gilet; BARRETTO, André Maurício Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3046718437592588This work aimed the comprehension of the young gender representations, identifying the social meanings and trying to understand the imaginary positions about being women subjectively. A qualitative methodology was adopted and a participative observation was realized with semi-guided interview in order to obtain the necessary data. Young women from 14 to 18 years living in Benguí (a section of the capital Belem) were interviewed. In a primary socialization, results indicated that the younger internalized some patriarchal values although there were patriarchal and equalitarian meanings of gender coexisting in their representations which were internalized during the secondary socialization with a group of friends and some Jepiara/GMB components. It was reported an empowering social context which contests the patriarchal rules but also being restrictive about women in privacy considering the socio-economic contingencies; a net of subjective and social factors in which the teenagers pretend to be women (adults), singularly reproducing social speech formed during their lives, sketching autonomy on the heteronomy that constitute them as individuals.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Processos identitários e suas vicissitudes em uma comunidade quilombola(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) SOUZA, Ercília Maria Soares; BARRETTO, André Maurício Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3046718437592588Studies about the processes of identity construction have gained great attention in researches developed in other academic domains, such as psychology, anthropology, social sciences, and psychoanalysis. These studies investigated the relationships between members of a given community and they center their efforts on important themes, as the following: the mechanisms of identity construction, and the organization of the social relations. The present study investigates an extremely current event, which will shed a light on the antagonistic relations related to the processes of identity construction. With the new Constitution of 1988, some black rural communities were forced into a unique legal situation: in order to obtain the benefits prescribed in the Constitution – which affirms that the descendants of ancient Brazilian Maroons (Quilombolas) have the right of ownership of the land that they occupied – the descendants of the Brazilian Maroons must give proof of their Maroon identity. This situation brings up some issues: How to build up an “identity”? What are the consequences of it? Given this situation, this study will focus on a black rural community of Abacatal (PA), which has been identified as a Maroon community since 1999, with the goal of pointing out some harm involved in the processes of identity construction. Twelve community member were interviewed, 5 men and 7 women, with ages between 27 and 68 – year old. All interviewees had been living in the community for at least thirteen years, therefore, all of them experienced the process of acquiring land ownership through the process of establishing a Maroon identity. The results of the study revealed that: a) the identities constructed evoked slave ancestors and also myths of the community creation (the story of the union between and noble man and slaved woman); b) the establishment of a Maroon identity brough benefits for the members of this Brazilian Maroon community; c) there are several, sometimes conflicting, meanings related to the identity of being a Brazilian Maroon, as for instance the meaning of being a black out-law. The conclusion is that, these processes of identity construction, experienced by the members of the community studied, as well as for each one of us, give us the human status and they are, as says Costa (2000), what keep us alive and add pleasure in our lives.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Relacionamentos humanos mediados pelo computador: as experiências de intermautas cadastros no site de comunidades UOL K(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-09-02) DINIZ, Caetano da Providência Santos; BARRETTO, André Maurício Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3046718437592588The community web sites have attracted a great number of people. They relate in distance to each other using resources such as the sending of mails and messages. These people also change information among themselves through the auto-description (profile) and the use of images, both free to the internet users public. The experience of having a personal web page in this kind of environment and the opportunity of relating with people through that result on the objective of this research which has been realized based on a qualitative methodology .There have been interviewed 16 internet users of UOL K network that belongs to UOL (online universe) that is considered the main vestibule of content and an access paid-supplier of internet in Brazil as well. The results analysis has pointed the following features: The web site makes possible the establishment of new contacts as well as the maintenance of old contacts. There is a trend to make new contacts. The written language is used such for communication as for a reflection about yourself. The anonymity is favored by the distant communication but it causes distrust of disappointing someone. The exercises are seen as real even they happen in a virtual atmosphere. “Being online” can be pleasant but it does not mean that we have to come off from the offline world. The communities’ membership is frequent and it is based on its common objectives. Thanks to the web sites tools, the use of photo is a link between the synchronous communication (chat) and the asynchronous communication (UOL K).There is an emphasis given to the sexuality and, consequently, the internet users find themselves needed to see and relativize their concepts like close and far, public and private, offline and online. It´s concluded that, even the users don’t use to set face - to –face dates, they are able to relate virtually to each other as a real situation, change affection, state links and keep an online life which communication finds its own way that maybe there will be not another goal except being online.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Representações imaginárias atribuídas ao exame do toque retal por homens belemenses(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-08-07) MARQUES, Ana Paula Felippe de Souza; BARRETTO, André Maurício Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3046718437592588In Brazil, the prostate cancer is an illness that represents the second cause of more frequent death between the men. In the region North, this reality is not different and comes presenting a rhythm of growth accented, according to information of the National Institute of the Cancer - INCA. It is a kind of cancer of slow and possible of being detected and treated evolution before it takes fatal ratios through diverse methods of diagnosis. However, one of the biggest challenges in regards to this detection is the mobilization and envolvement of the masculine population in looking medical aid. This occurs, mainly, because the prevention involves a possible accomplishment of the examination of the retal touch. Thinking about this, this work searched to comprehend which these impediments? Which the involved factors so that the man does not take care of itself, especially in relation to the prostate cancer? The central objective of the work was investigate which the imputed imaginary representations to the examination of the touch? The investigation focus was the apprehension of the meanings. Therefore was opted to the qualitative method line, having for reference the Underlying Discourse Unveiling Method (UDUM). Ten interviews of men had been analyzed, in the age betwen 40 and 60 years. Its discourses had pointed namely that involved hurdles in this impediment exist: motivations of structural order (access difficulty, lack of information), but also hurdles of imaginary order, whose meanings become the resistant citizen to the examination and as consequence if does not prevent, making it difficult the detention of possible illness for subsequent treatment.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As representações imaginárias do médico de família acerca de sua prática profissional(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008) LINS, Ana Carolina Araújo de Almeida; BARRETTO, André Maurício Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3046718437592588The objective of the present study was to understand the imaginary representations of the doctors who work with families in the Brazilian Family Health Program in Belém, in Mosqueiro district, about their professional performance. Based on qualitative methodology, it aimed to analyze the discourses of the doctors composed by family doctors who are in groups of the Family Health Program and worked in Family Health Care Units in Belém, more specifically in Mosqueiro disctrict. Semi structured interviews were used guided by a script. The data were analyzed by the discourse of the participants, in which coincident subjects reported by all the participants interviewed were grouped in thematic nucleus, always related with the objective of the study, analyzing the consensus and the differences of each theme. It was observed that, for these professionals, the Family Health Program represents only a pathway or a laboratory for those who are starting in the Medicine, giving them a possibility to acquire knowledge and experience, while they don’t get what they really wish, that is, a specialty (which is not in Family Health Care Medicine).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Representações imaginárias sociais da infidelidade conjugal feminina em Belém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009) RANDEL, Igor de Mesquita; BARRETTO, André Maurício Lima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3046718437592588The aim of his work was to identify and understand the social imaginary representations about the female extramarital relationship that are present into the speech of married women who keep extramarital relacionships. Cornelius Castoriadis’ theory supported the realization of this study. The utilized methodology was the qualitative methodology and semi-oriented interviews were achieved to obtain informations of the participants. Nine married women were interviewed, between 30 and 48 years-old, who belong to the urban middle class. These women were said to have at least one extramarital relationship. The data was analysed through “Método de Explicitação do Discurso Subjacente” (MEDS). The analysis of the results demonstrated that women justify their treasons due to the husband’s treason, as a revenge, or because their husband’s do not satisfy them affectively and/or sexually. The explored themes were: the various meanings that the interviewed women attributed to infidelity; the manner how these women live the feeling of guilt produced by existent conflicts between the introjected social rules and the desire to live an extramarital relationship. The matrimonial infidelity remits the happy moments that aren’t experienced daily, propiciated by moments of leisure. Therefore the imaginary dimension leads the human action, assuming a fundamental role in materialization of infidelity concerning the desire of these women to maintain another relationship outside their marriage. Therefore it is evident that only the knowledge of the socially established rules are not enough, even they are indispensable, to produce actions and thinking manners that are compatible with the social standards and values.
