Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Na saleta sem viver nem morrer: anotações sobre literatura, educação e saúde na Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-09) TEIXEIRA, Elizabeth; FARIAS, Fernando Jorge dos SantosThe essay seeks to build a literary reading capable of highlighting the interface between literature, education and health based on the character Eutanázio, a figure present in the novel Chove in the fields of Cachoeira, by the writer Dalcídio Jurandir. For this, it chooses the method of implementing a historical investigation, associated with the understanding arising from the complexity paradigm, structured by Morin (1991), when he considers human processes and productions as subject to different interactions and interpretations. In this sense, it addresses Dalcídio's understanding of the limits of transmitting life in the Amazon, in fictional terms. In the sequence, he focuses on the character Eutanázio and his actions in the novel, especially those related to health-disease, lived in a typically Amazonian region. In a conclusive plan, the essay seeks to draw attention to the record and use that the literature presents. In addition, it reinforces the understanding that both the Brazilian literature of Amazonian expression and the writer Dalcídio Jurandir position themselves prominently in the cultural scope, since they add to the records and interpretative possibilities worked on in academic, scientific practice.
