This research aims to build an overview of national and international research on emotional self-regulation in the cognitive social perspective, through an integrative literature review, considering the period from 2008 to 2019; identifying what the authors have approached about this theme and pointing out possible gaps. With a quantitative, this study appropria ted a frequency analysis using the NodeXL software, which generated a graph with data of centrality measures adopted in order to highlight the most relevant constructs. The results pointed to five analyzed articles that presented the relevance of four constructs: Emotional intelligence; Emotional competence; Emotion regulation; Coping These data demonstrate that the literature has stated that the subject who is capable of self-regulating emotionally has satisfactory emotional intelligence, and is competent to face situations that can generate a negative emotional state. This field, often closed to different readings, is influenced by teaching methods developed in lines of thinking born with modern science, that we call here State or Imperial Science. It leads science teaching through scientific methods and produces recognition learning. However, something evolves from the recognizable and Imperial Science and, involved with another type of science that we call here Nomad Science, makes the thought experience multiplicities, singularities, in the learning process. With this process in mind, this essay attempts to highlight a learning mode that is traversed by a zigzag line, which fosters a strange variation in teaching and learning. The data collect phase took place in a public school, located in the outskirts of Belém-Pará city. Eleven professors who teaches from the first to the fifth year participated answering a semi-structured interview and speaking their opinions in a group interview dynamic. The data categorization was made accordingly to Bardin [Análise de conteúdo (2011)] and through the software Nvivo 10 version. The results showed that teachers understand the familiar resilience elements but they underestimate those elements in the school’s family; tend to have a negative and pessimist perception about the success possibilities and resilience in those groups; have a stereotyped vision of family; a stigmatized perspective about poverty and about the social benefits those family have access.
