Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cacau, chocolate e turismo na região transamazônica, Pará: contribuições ao desenvolvimento local(Servicios Académicos Intercontinentales S.L., 2018-12) NUNES, Hyngra Suellen de Jesus; BASTOS, Rodolpho ZahluthThis article aims to analyze the cocoa production inside the local development dynamics of the Transamazônica region, southwest of Pará State. It looks at the possibilities of tourism to contribute to valorization of the production chain in the Transamazônica region. Methodologically, the research is based on bibliographical and documentary analysis and on fieldwork research using semi-structured interviews with public bodies’ staff members, manufacturers of regional chocolate brands, members of civil society organizations (cooperatives, associations), cocoa farmers and agriculturists. The research points out to possibility of greater integration between the cocoa chain and tourism in the Transamazônica. It may occur by integration of tourism with the agrifood sector promoting links between product and territory and thus making relationships between the Transamazônica’s territorial identity and its historical and cultural values and also its regional natural heritage. The analysis allows concluding that tourism associated with the cocoa production chain “from cocoa to chocolate” is an alternative that may contribute to local development in the Transamazônica territory, particularly if it is associated to the historical-cultural richness and natural beauty of the region.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Conflito e gestão ambiental na zona costeira amazônica: o caso da vila de Camará, reserva extrativista (RESEX) marinha mestre Lucindo, Marapanim-Pará-Amazônia-Brasil(Universidade da Amazônia, 2019-11) SANTOS, Márcia Cristina; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; BASTOS, Rodolpho ZahluthItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Conflito e gestão ambiental na zona costeira amazônica: o caso da vila do Camará, reserva extrativista (RESEX) marinha mestre lucindo, Marapanim - Pará - Amazônia - Brasil(Revistas Brasileiras Publicações de Periódicos e Editora Ltda., 2020-03) SANTOS, Márcia Cristina; LOPES, Luís Otávio do Canto; BASTOS, Rodolpho Zahluth; FENZL, Norbert; MERLIN, Lise Vieira da Costa Tupiassu; SOARES, Daniel Araújo SombraThe present study identified the existing socio-environmental conflicts and the main problems of environmental management in Vila de Camará, in the Marine Ext activist Reserve (RESEX) “Mestre Lucindo”. In this perspective, the relevance of this work consists of analyzing a community within a recently established Amazon Conservation Unit (UC) situation, which shares a great natural resources wealth. Considering that RESEX is in the management initial stages, the reflection on the existence of such conflicts and the measures taken by the managing body, in the figure of ICMBio, as well as the proposal of strategies capable of reducing such conflicts, make this study still more important. The methodological steps carried out were: bibliographic / documentary review and field visits. The main socioenvironmental conflicts verified at the site were: extremely conflicting land distribution; environmental degradation at Lembe Beach and overfishing. When focusing on Lembe Beach, two conflicts stand out: the irregular construction of tents (bars and restaurants) and the disposal of their waste directly in the sea / mangrove.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Crecimiento y evolución económica-espacial de los suicidios en Brasil: Durkhein en la perspectiva de la econometría espacial(Servicios Académicos Intercontinentales S.L., 2018-08) CARVALHO, André Cutrim; CARVALHO, David Ferreira; BASTOS, Rodolpho ZahluthIn Brazil, there has been a significant increase in the growth and evolution of suicides in states such as São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. However, little attention has been paid to research on suicide in other Brazilian states, especially in the North and Northeast. Suicide in Brazil is a typical case of public health, but also a problem of economic and social order. Thus, the main objective of this article is to evaluate the determinant factors - economic, social and public health - of the suicide rate in the federal states of Brazil between the years 1980-2010. For this, Durkheim's Suicide Theory will be adopted from the statistical-econometric point of view of spatial econometrics, since it allows to evaluate the spatial dependence relation between the suicide rates of the Brazilian neighboring states. The main conclusion is that there is an association between the per capita income and the suicide rate of the Brazilian states. However, there is an inverse relationship so that if per capita income increases the tendency is to decrease suicide rate. Therefore, the increase in the number of suicide in Brazil must be understood as a public, social and, fundamentally, economic health problem.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fundamentos para a gestão das inundações periódicas nas planícies de Belém (Pará- Brasil) com vistas ao seu desenvolvimento local(Servicios Académicos Intercontinentales S.L., 2018-03) SOARES, André Araújo Sombra; CARVALHO, André Cutrim; SOARES, Daniel Araújo Sombra; BASTOS, Rodolpho ZahluthThe objective of this article is to establish the basis for the management of the periodic floods that occur on the plains of the municipality of Belém, located in the state of Pará, in the Northern Region of Brazil. It presents as a case study the dynamics of socioenvironmental problems and impacts associated with flooding in the lowland areas of Belém and seeks to contextualize the occurrence of these problems in an interdisciplinary perspective, relating to the biophysical characteristics of the city with the local urban dynamics and anthropic action as intensifying agents problems. For this purpose, data were collected regarding the altimetric dimensions of the city land in order to delimit the plains areas, and later data referring to the uses and occupation of the areas. A mapping of the overlapping of these data was then produced, with a view to correlating the interaction between natural and anthropic elements in the dynamics of socio-environmental problems, as well as identifying the situation of areas with the highest socio-environmental vulnerabilities. The results of this article point to the need to apply environmental planning, as well as the strengthening of public institutions, as a fundamental subsidy for the search for a more sustainable culture for the plains of Belém, considering that they have natural tendencies the impact of risks and disasters, due to the extension of low altimetric quotas in their respective domains, and because of the anthropic conditions that refer to the misuse and conservation of these areas by the public power and local society, has the consequence of intensifying problems and socioenvironmental impacts associated with occurrences of periodic floods. In this sense, public policies and actions of local society are necessary to minimize the harmful effects in the short term and solve the problem, with the achievement of environmental awareness as a subsidy to local development by society in the long term.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Gestão ambiental compartilhada na Amazônia: arranjos de implementação do licenciamento ambiental municipal no Pará, Amazonas, Maranhão e Tocantins(Universidade da Amazônia, 2017-08) FERNANDES, Mylene Oliveira Cunha; BASTOS, Rodolpho ZahluthItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Relações interfederativas para gestão dos recursos naturais e desenvolvimento territorial(Universidade da Amazônia, 2018-12) FERNANDES, Mylene Oliveira Cunha; BASTOS, Rodolpho ZahluthThe present article analyzes the horizontality versus the verticality of interfederative relations in Brazil in the light of the Federal Constitution of the National Environmental Policy (PNMA), ascertaining if the theory and practice of these relations have territorial development as one of the main guiding objectives. To do this, we initially sought to search and analyze the main environmental legislation that govern cooperation between federal entities and the normative content of the respective articles that highlight this theme. After examining the legal structure, a methodological procedure was adopted for a bibliographic survey aimed at the problematic, and fi nally, a brief observation and interpretation was made of the relation of some States with their municipalities in what concerns the regulation and the use of the licensing as an instrument for spatial planning and development. The results show that, although environmental standards point to horizontally harmonious relations between Union, States, Federal District and Municipalities, the decision - making and practical verticality in the accomplishment of shared environmental management has prevailed. Thus, territorial development is still far from being a real scope in the scenario of the management of natural resources promoted by federative entities. However, in spite of the theoretical and practical incompatibilities, it is concluded that there has been considerable progress, particularly in the legal sphere, in terms of interfederative cooperation rules aimed at territorial development. However, it is imperative that there is a progressive alignment of this normative structure in order to unlock shared environmental management, as well as a physical and operational structure capable of making these laws possible.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Saberes e inovações ribeirinhos, do cacau das várzeas do território do baixo Tocantins(Universidade da Amazônia, 2019-11) VIANA, Ana Letícia Nascimento; SIMÕES, Aquiles Vasconcelos; BASTOS, Rodolpho ZahluthItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Urbanização e computação urbana – um dispositivo de desenvolvimento da participação social na cidade de Paragominas - PA(Universidade da Amazônia, 2017-08) CARVALHO, Tarcísio Lemos Monteiro; BASTOS, Rodolpho Zahluth; ROCHA, Gilberto de Miranda
