Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) À procura de Mário Faustino tradutor(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-03-31) VERÍSSIMO, Thiago André dos Santos; LEAL, Izabela Guimarães Guerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2507019514021007The 1940s and the 1950s are significant for the process of cultural diffusion in Brazilian newspapers, with notable performances of writers, poets and scholars on many journals of that time. Thus, the ambiance of the newspapers became modern and creative on behalf of culture and literature. At that time, there were two newspapers which contributed, through their literary supplements, to the cultural movement in Belém, state of Pará, Brazil, which were: “Arte Literatura”, from Folha do Norte and “Arte e Literatura”, from A Província do Pará. In this ambiance, Mário Faustino has initiated his literary life publishing chronicles and poems in newspapers, and, above all, he worked as a translator of poetry. At the age of only 16 years old, Faustino has begun translating a laundry list of writers of international literature, from the Spanish, the French and the English. This analysis work aims to map Mário Faustino’s training as a translator, from his early translated poems. For this purpose, we discuss the notion of translation as a process of training and critical development.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O aconselhamento linguageiro como forma de intervenção e formação docente(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-06-24) NONATO, Rejane Santos; SILVA, Walkyria Alydia Grahl Passos Magno e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6129530461830312This research aims at finding ways to improve the in-service training of English teachers from countryside public schools of Pará State. In order to do so, I use the language advising (LA) which is a form of language support that through conversations, aims at promoting selfdirected learning (GARDNER; MILLER, 1999; MOZZON-McPHERSON, 2007; RILEY, 1997; VIEIRA, 2007). I base myself on Vygotsky (1984) studies, which discuss human development and knowledge construction; Benson (2001), which deals with the process of autonomization, and Mozzon-McPherson (2001), which is about language advising. The research methodology belongs to the qualitative research method since it is an action research. The sequence of procedures was nested in the project coordinated by Magno e Silva (2013), in which firstly, the advisee’s personal experience of learning the FL was analyzed and an area of personal preoccupation was identified; then it was planned proactively targeting the area of personal preoccupation, the third step was to exert a monitored intervention, and finally, as a last step, it was done the evaluation and the replanning. To carry out this research it was used as instruments of data collection learning narratives, needs analysis questionnaire, reports of advising sessions. Subsequently, the data obtained through these instruments were organized and analyzed in the light of the theory raised. The results indicated that the LA can help in the formation of teachers in practice favoring the development of autonomy of these professionals, once the advising period allowed teachers reflect on their language knowledge, their beliefs, difficulties and strategies to overcome these difficulties, leading these teachers to perform actions in search of their linguistic and professional development.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A biblioteca vermelha de Raimundo Jinkings: uma história de livros(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-10-03) PINTO JÚNIOR, Antonio Carlos Pimentel; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840The history of books and readers in Brazil has been object of several researches in brazilian universities, guided for interests in writing and reading practices from the colony times to contemporary era. This study is about a private library, the Raimundo Jinking’s collection, and its meaning for a historical time, as well as for a man and his family, offering a remarkable view into a communist leader’s intellectual formation through his extensive lectures. It also demonstrates the importance of books as a path for political activism and ideological construction by providing a journalistical production and, last but not least, preserving in vivid ways the ideas and memory of the collector.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Do desenho à pintura: o visualismo na escrita de Clarice Lispector(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-02-25) ARAUJO, Elisama Fernandes; GUIMARÃES, Mayara Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6834076554286321Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Do sertão a backlands: tradução e recepção de Guimarães Rosa em 1963(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-02-05) SILVA, Suellen Cordovil da; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278This dissertation aims to study the critical reception of the American translation of Grande sertão: veredas (1956), soon after the publication of this, in 1963, and read the first translational options of Harriet de Onís (1869-1968) and James Taylor (1892-1982), and excerpts from the latest American translation, Grand sertão: veredas (2013), Philip W. Martinez. As a method used to analyze the American critical reception, highlight the studies of literary hermeneutics of Hans Robert Jauss (1921-1997). Thus, priority is given to a discussion with the American translation of Grande sertão: veredas, because the punctuates are some excerpts from the American translation which serve as corpus of translation, with the criteria for the selection of passages relating to the hinterland (Backlands) and to meet of Riobaldo with Diadorim in O-de-janeiro. The parameters will be analyzed in the fisrt translation: the loss of poetic, deletions, switching names and words, and finally, some neologisms. After the comparisons between Grande sertão: veredas and The devil to pay in the backlands, it aims to realize the distancity of projectřs translators with the poetic project of João Guimarães Rosa. Thus, we based on translation studies of Antoine Berman (1942- 1991), Lawrence Venuti (1953) and André Lefevere (1945-1996). Berman believes that translation is a relationship, a dialogue and an openness to the stranger. Besides the parameters to check that stretches from the American translation is ethnocentric, we use some clippings serial ceded by the Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros (IEB), in University of São Paulo, a total of 10 texts about Guimarães Rosa. These texts were written in 1963. Finally, in this dissertation the placements of U.S.A. journalists will treat yourself before the publication of Guimarães Rosařs 1963 translation and the current critical reception of American translation according Perrone (2000), Armstrong (2001) and Krause (2013).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ele não compreende nossos costumes: literatura, colonização e memória na Trilogia africana, de Chinua Achebe(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-12-21) CHAGAS, Alessandra Santos; GUIMARÃES, Mayara Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6834076554286321Being considered one of the greatest writers within the modern African literary field, Chinua Achebe is one of great relevance nowadays because of his literary political project that joins history and literature in order to create a fiction writing made from African perspectives and experiences as a counterpoint against colonial speeches, literature and representations. Thus, this work aims to investigate how the African Trilogy, written by Achebe between 1958 and 1964, contributed to set a new way of representing traditional experiences from the perspective of those who were put aside of history and colonial speeches. Moreover, we will analyze how colonization caused social, cultural, religious and identity transformations to Igbo people. As theoretical background to this work, it was used the works of Pollack (1989; 1992), Quayson (2000), Benjamin (1987), Said (2011), Bhabha (2011), Noa (2015) as they encompass postcolonial theory and memory studies. This research also made use of some critical works of Achebe (1988, 2000, 2012a, 2012b) himself. Hence, it was observed that Achebe’s literature by being aligned to Nigerian social-politics requests tried to represent not only Igbo people experiences before colonization as a way of rescue and celebrate traditional memories, but also cultural, religious, identity and linguistic transformations that was brought by colonization.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre jornais, livrarias e gabinetes de leitura: a circulação dos romances-folhetins camilianos no Pará oitocentista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06-17) PAIVA, Cláudia Gizelle Teles; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; ttp://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Escrituras indígenas de autoria de mulheres Potiguara (Brasil) e Mapuche (Chile)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-02-11) ALENCAR, Larissa Fontinele de; SARMENTO-PANTOJA, Tânia Maria Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3707451019100958; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1575-5679In this dissertation I propose a study in the field of resistence literature on the writings written by the women from the Potiguara (Brazil) and Mapuche (Chile) native peoples. For this purpose, this research is structured as a great tessitura formed by threads and theoreticalmethodological lines whereby the basic epistemologies support, initially, on the process of brushing history against grain, thereby, tracing the (re)made literary plot made by indigenous women thread by thread. A priori, I realize that the literatures of indigenous authorship are resistence literatures and that the indigenous literary territory-body in connection with nature is done through words in defense, as well as it remains firm in its purpose and own ideologies, even with all the impositions and subjugations engendered by the hegemonic discourse perpetuazed by the colonizer. It’s also important to emphasize that the resistence literature is a field of literary theory that studies the literatures that emerge in contexts of authoritarianism, state of exception, barbaric situation, likewise in trauma situtations, or, even, thematize such psychologycal and socio-historical conditions. Therefore, this literature sub-area configures itself as a great potential to existence through resistence, thus forming a poetry rupture of “reexistence”. Seen in these terms, I consider that the Potiguara and Mapuche women’s writings are developed by words that transcend the resistence both gender and ethnic identity. This perspective is significant on the literary corpus of this research, and enables that the scope of the dissertation is done through the expression of the fractured body of the indigenous woman, which, consequently, in resistence, it tenses through the literary production, the memory, ancestry, gender issues, ethnic identity and subjective and collective relationships with the colonial trauma. From this point of view, the literary corpora of this research is composed of the texts by the Potiguara writers: Eliane Potiguara, Graça Graúna and Sulami Katy; of the Mapuche people the texts selected were by the writers: Graciela Huinao, Faumelisa Manquepillán and Daniela Catrileo. However, I reinforce that on this dissertation, there are also references to a considerable writing production created by other writers, including even some that belong to other ethnic groups. Thus, this is a bibliografic and qualitative research developed from a descreptive analytical approach and also done through the reading comprehension of the literary texts selected for it. For this purpose, after doing the literary copora analysis, I pursued to make text snatches that were consonant to the compression of poetic aspects of the indigenous writers’ texts, on the conception of an ancient escrevivência on the development of gender identity poetries and ethnic identities, besides a perspective of the indigenous view about the colonial traumas caused by the genocidal state. Finally, taking an overview about this research, I consider that one of the most significant contributions of this dissertation is on the combination of the resistence literature to indigenous literature, because it adds to this field another literary narrative from decolonial source that goes through bodies and texts that were excluded from literary studies for a longe time.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Expressividade oral e fluência em leitura: monitoramento e diagnóstico de cinco escolas estaduais de Belém do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-05-08) SAUAIA VANSILER, Nair Daiane de Souza; PICANÇO, Gessiane Lobato; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8504849027565119The expressive reading is a way of showing the meanings of the text apprehended by the reader. Therefore, the expression in oral reading can not only distinguish good from poor readers, but also be used to monitor comprehension. It is possible to verify, based on prosodic elements, the way the students apply their linguistic knowledge on their reading. Fluent readers incorporate prosodic features of the spoken language (such as accent, pitch range of voice, intonation, phrasing and pauses) during reading, making it sound as natural as possible. This project takes the concepts of the interactive-compensatory model because we accept that the automatic decoding process allows the acceleration of the word identification process in texts. This research shows the evaluation of the three prosodic dimensions - intonation and stress; phrasing and rhythm - in readings done by high school sophomores (2nd year students) from five different public schools in Belém, Pará. The research is divided into two stages, in each one the students have read, for one minute, excerpts from three different texts. In the first stage, 54 students from the five selected public schools have been analyzed, summing an amount of 162 oral reading samples. In the second one, done in the ending of the 2013 school year, the readings of three out of four texts, in the second visit in four schools out of the five initial ones, by 44 students were analyzed. During this second stage, students of two selected schools have read one more text with better prosodic signs; 20 students participated. The CBM (DENO, 1985) offered an efficient method of student reading captivation. The quantitative analysis of the reading samples was done based on the oral expressivity parameters of a multidimensional scale, adapted to this research from the Fountas and Pinnel (2006), Raisinski (2004) and Zuttell & Rasinski (1991) propositions. We believe that readers who present some difficulty on expressive oral reading may lack of supporting elements to the reading comprehension skills proposed by Wren (2002), as well as related to some parsing deficit. The disability on automatically recognizing words may also be one these deficiencies. In the end, we have presented some proposals of guided intervention to obtain more satisfying performances on expressive oral reading.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fabiola: a subversão, a moralização e a virtude recompensada(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-02-23) PINHEIRO, Márcia do Socorro da Silva; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840Although it achieved its greatest projection in the nineteenth century, the novel genre already stood out in the Europe’s eighteenth century literary horizon and underwent through major transformations. This way, the romance established itself amidst social, political and economic changes. This study aims to analyze the romance Fabiola, published in 1865, in the form of a booklet in the periodical A Estrella do Norte (1863-1869), a catholic newspaper that published its news under the supervision of Dom Macedo Costa (1830-1891). To achieve the objective of this work, we will discuss the rise and consolidation of the genre in the first chapter, making a counterpoint between the reading of Fabiola and other novels that stood out during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. We will also demonstrate, in the second chapter, how the reception of the novel in nineteenth century’s Pará, especially from the perspective of the editor of the periodical, Dom Macedo Costa. In the third chapter, we will analyze the female characters of the novel and see how these categories manifested themselves in the literary work. The historical context in which Fabiola was published will also be described, as a way to try to determine its influence, in what it involves the choice of such publication by the publishers of Pará’s religious journalItem Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fanfictions na Internet - um clique na construção do leitor-autor(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-05-31) REIS, Fabíola do Socorro Figueiredo dos; CHAVES, Lília Silvestre; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4273510661737259This study focuses on the presence of the reader-writer of stories created and published on the Internet, more specifically, an author who was once a reader of an original story, and decides to continue it (from the moment which its first original writer finished) or modify it in order to please yourself and/or any other readers, because, as Roland Barthes once said (2004), the writer will always be an imitator of his writings prior to that time, but never original. In the stories created by fans-authors (as the authors committed in the writing of this kind of story are called), we study the modification of the concept of authorship nowadays, because the author loses has a new personality as he/she uses some form of information technology - and now handles with something called hybrid genres: texts that are not just pure, but haven‟t a feature to be defined only by common concepts either. Thus it is difficult to define what is, after all, the author in the era of digital genres. At a time when every day people worldwide increase their number of hours browsing, digital genres represent a new relationship between humans and semiotic instrument, with several aspects to be observed.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ficção e sociedade em Guimarães Rosa: interpretação dos contos “A volta do marido pródigo” e “Minha gente”(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-05-11) MAUÉS, Brenda de Sena; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278This work has as theoretical and methodological basis the Aesthetic of Reception, the school of literary theory that emerged in the late sixties in opossition to the dogmas Marxist and formalist, to the extent that they ignore the role of the reader as the main recipient of the literary work. The research is focused on a hermeneutic approach and grounded in an analisis that relates literature and society, considering that is possible to find echoes of humanist ideals in this book, mainly within the tales that form the corpus for our analysis. Thus, following the methodological bias postulated by Jauss (1921-1997), in which the sense of a literary work should be sought into a dialetic constitution between the text and the reader, this paper outlines a survey of short stories “A volta do marido pródigo” and “Minha gente” of Sagarana, especially when it cames to the tematic and formal ties and to the analysis of the characters. In these narratives, it is possible to identify political and amorous disputes wich are developed at the same time along the plot, in general, is depicted the form of the assignment partisan politics and the family relationships in Brazil at the beginning of last century, each tale casts these thematics in their own way, one more comic, focusing on political and social issues and the other emphasizing family relations. In “A volta do marido pródigo” we found a hero with a obvious folk origination within a narrative that dialogues with the parable of the prodigal son and the Aesopian fable of turtle and toad. “Minha gente” tells a story of a relation between the characters lives and the game of chess. Although they retain significant differences between them, those stories have much in common. We took into acount studies already stablished about Sagarana as it is the Mortos de sobrecasaca of Álvaro Lins, as well as others, more recent, of researchers such as Luiz Roncari (O Brasil de Rosa: o amor e o poder), Gilca Seidinger (Guimarães Rosa ou a paixão de contar: narrativas de Sagarana), Nildo Benedetti (Sagarana: o Brasil de Guimarães Rosa) and Sílvio Holanda (Rapsódia Sertaneja: leituras de Sagarana).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Guimarães Rosa e Martin Heidegger: duas visões sobre o Nazismo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-01-14) SILVA, Leonardo Castro da; SOUZA JÚNIOR, Nelson; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7150345624593204; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278In 1970 occurred the publication of the posthumous book Ave, palavra of Guimarães Rosa (1908-1967) which gathers some texts of the author, from this collection of texts it has chosen the chronicles “O mau humor de Wotan”, “A velha” and “A senhora dos segredos”, which revolve around the context of German Nazism and expose a contrary position to National Socialism. At first moment, this work aims to show how Benedito Nunes (1929-2011) was guided by an interpretive tendency designed by heideggerianos commentators before the complete works [Gesamtausgabe] (2001), such a tendency postulates that there is not, in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger (1889-1976), a link between the political thought and the philosophical. The next step exposes the heideggerian notion in Ser e Verdade (2001) in which the german philosopher proposes an ideological basis for Nazism, being in favor of this with certain restrictions. This way, it shows how the complete works set out arguments that point to a limitation in relation to the commentators who produced before its publication about Politics and Philosophy in Heidegger. In subchapter about O local da diferença (2005), it deals with trauma and testimony as central concepts that the author puts to theorize the Literatures of the 20th century in the contexts of war and authoritarian regimes. After, it makes a critical reading based on the premise of philosophical political thought on Heidegger in the chronicles of Rosa, because they expose images from the period of Nazi Germany when the brazilian writer was working as a diplomat. The second review of the war chronicles will be made based on the concepts of trauma and testimony formulated by Seligmann-Silva (1964), because the works of Rosa treated demonstrate the level of authoritarianism of the Nazi party. Finally, it will be made a definition of the concept of reception of Hans Robert Jauss (1921-1997) to then discuss the authors who made the critical reception of the chronicles of Guimarães Rosa.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ideias preliminares sobre o romance: uma leitura dos prefácios camilianos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-07-14) SANTOS, Vanessa Suzane Gonçalves dos; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840Due to the rise of modern novel, the prefaces space, also called prologue, preamble, warnings to the reader, preliminary ideas, was also used as a debate spot, where it was aimed to form the novelistic aesthetic and to add credibility to the novel. The issues were also seen in prefaces from brazilian and portuguese novelists by the time of the rise and consolidation of the novel in those coutries, in the mid-nineteenth century, these issues circulated between the two countries through the importation of books too, especially regarding the transatlantic movement Portugal-Brazil. Camilo Castelo Branco was one of the portuguese writers greatly appreciated in Brazil, and whose works are filled with prefaces, which approuch, among other aspects, the novel as a new genre surrounded by distrust. The works of Camilo formed, over time, imposing large collections in great libraries from the country, such as the collection Camiliana, located in Grêmio Literário Português, State of Pará, where many texts produced, translated and edited by the portuguese writer can be found, besides works that reference him, whose highlight is on the meaningful presence of novels, which are mostly first editions. Thus, based on the prologues of the first editions novels: Amor de perdição (1862), Estrellas funestas (1862), Annos de prosa (1863), Amor de salvação (1864), Mysterios de Fafe (1868), O retrato de Ricardina (1868), and the second edition of O romance d’um homem rico (1863), available on that collection, this work seeks to reflect on the images and opinions that the author builds and designs about the genre itself and its possible reader, in order to understand his vision of issues so commonly associated with novel, as the relationship between reality and fiction and fiction and morality, this acquaintance does not obliterate the reading and dialogue with the fictional texts themselves, which the prefaces are conditioned to. To this end, it is approached, in the two chapters that precede the analysis of prologues from Camilo, respectively: aspects concerning the rise of the novel, its acclimatization in Portugal and its cultivation by Camilo Castelo Branco; the acclimatization of the genre in Brazil, the importance of creating spaces for reading and the physical description of the collection Camilians, the corpus from the research.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Leituras a vapor: a cultura letrada na Belém oitocentista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-04-27) NOBRE, Izenete Garcia; SALES, Germana Maria Araújo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8723885160615840Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Memória e narrativa na voz de contadoras itinerantes e griots(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-06-29) SANTANA, Adrine Motley; SIMÕES, Maria do Perpétuo Socorro Galvão; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0672011058049782Previously storytelling occurred amid sitting groups around a campfire and, among them, a storyteller heating the people present there with their living breath, telling the stories passed from generation to generation. They were called shamans, griots. In the twenty-first century, this practice has become and the places where they operate are differentiated as schools, hospitals, public squares, universities, among others. They are called urban contemporary or narrators, for assuming a new identity and professionalize this practice. Thus, this research proposes to study the early formation of movement of these storytellers, in the voice of women formed in two public institutions of higher education: in the Pará State University (UEPA) and the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), from 2000 to 2005, at which were part of the Griot groups (UEPA) and Itinerant meters (UFPA). The women involved in these groups, which I was part of the Griot, sought in his body and voice, propagate studied and heard stories both in verse and in prose, in the extension project already mentioned. Thus, this work is to thread the memory guided the assumptions of Maurice Halbawchs (2006), Michael Pollak (1992), Pierre Nora (1993), interspersed with study of Oral Poetry of Paul Zumthor (2010) to report narrative "embedded" concept presented by Karl Eric Schollhammer (2012), and thus be able to tell how it all began.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As mil e uma transfigurações de rocambole: a personagem mais brilhante de Ponson du Terrail(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-04-29) BORGES, Débora de Castro; AUGUSTI, Valéria; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6970953321235328Ponson du Terrail was considered one of the leading French popular novelists the second half of the nineteenth century. Having circulated widely in serials and in book form his country of origin, he had his novels translated into Portuguese language and, that century, published by numerous Portuguese publishers. Part of Portuguese editions of his novels have been sent to Belém of Pará and became part of the Grêmio Literário Português of Para collection, reading room established in the capital of the province in 1867. Whereas one of the main author of blockbusters was Rocambole series, which are narrated the adventures of the eponymous character in 12 novels, this work aimed to describe the bibliographic point of view, the issues of this series contained in the collection of this institution to date. Therefore, we collected the editorial data of the copies of paraense reading room, which were compared with specimens of French editions available at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, so check the different editorial arrangements of the series, with regard to the organization the parts that compose it. Done this was undertaken the synthesis of the plot of the novels that compose the series as a whole, as well as the analysis of the narrative focused on the physical and psychological transformations of character, emphasizing the importance of disguise and recognition for the plot economy.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Revista de Cultura Brasileña e a recepção de “Grande Sertão Veredas” (1962-2011)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-09-26) BARBOSA, Delmira Rocha dos Santos; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278This master’s dissertation intends to develop a comprehensive examination of the critic reception produced in Spanish language about Grande sertão: veredas (1956), written by Guimarães Rosa (1908-1967). Since its first edition on Spanish language, Grán sertón: veredas caused a certain impact on society because of the themes of the book, such as the supposed ambiguous relationship between Riobaldo and Diadorim, which remains unsolved until the end of the first reading, and the universal hinterland created by poetic language that exceeds geographical boundaries and represents existential conflicts. The critic reception by Spanish-speakers researchers began, ideed, in 1967 after the launching of Grán sertón: veredas, translated into Spanish by Ángel Crespo and published by Seix Barral. Thus, the aim of this work is to undertake a review of some interpretations about Grán sertón: veredas, which caused great repercussion among Spanish-speaking intellectuals that purposed to unveil the implied meanings on the Rosean literary work. In this perspective, there will be analyzed texts from 1960’s of Revista de Cultura Brasileña’s archives and the recent critic reception developed by Soledad Bianchi (2004), Antonio Maura (2007), Maria Rosa Álvarez Sellers (2007), and Pilar Gómez Bedate (2007), besides other Brazilian literary critics. It is a bibliographical research method based on Aesthetics of Reception theory, proposed by Hans Robert Jauss (1921-1997), which considers the reader as an important category in the construction of a new artistic object during the reading act. The master’s dissertation is arranged in three chapters: in the first one, there will be an explanation about the theoretical framework of the Aesthetics of Reception principles and brief comments about aspects involved in the act of translation discussed in Walter Benjamin’s essay The task of the translator and in Antoine Berman’s translation theory. In the next chapters, the literary criticism in Spanish language about Grande sertão: veredas will be analyzed highlighting the divergences between the original text in Portuguese and its translation into Spanish concerning to how the translator dealt with the elements of poetic language in the Spanish version, as well as the insertion of the Rosean fiction on social and historical context of Hispanic countries.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Tradução e criação literária em “Gran sertón: veredas”: análise de processos neológicos da versão espanhola(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-02-28) CARVALHO, Leomir Silva de; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A universalidade poética de Rilke na formação do Grupo dos Novos: tradução e confluências na Amazônia brasileira(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-03-14) VANSILER, João Jairo Moraes; LEAL, Izabela Guimarães Guerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2507019514021007The purpose of this Master's thesis is to identify how translations of Rilke's poetry were relevant in the scenario had been published, on magazine “Suplemento Literário da Folha do Norte” - SL/FN and others. We believe that these translations were indicative of a rise in the process of literary universalization on “Pará”, to innovations of Modern Art Week, 1922. These translations were crucial to the literary formation of “Grupo dos Novos”, which was composed by Benedito Nunes, Mário Faustino, Plinio Paulo Abreu and others in addition to the German anthropologist Peter Paul Hilbert. For this work we explore the concepts of Weltliteratur by Goethe and Reflexionsmedium by Benjamin. We also use the concept of Bildung, from the reading of Antoine Berman, which relates it to the translation. These concepts will link to history, philosophy of language and translation in order to reflect the impact of these translations in the Brazilian Amazon, at the time they were made. Through the translation theory of Haroldo de Campos, we aim to investigate possible confluences in poetic productions and criticism by Mario Faustino, Manuel Bandeira and Paulo Plínio Abreu as a result of the relationship between the work of these poets and Rilke, promoted through these translations.
