Workers struggle to defend their interests and those of the society in general have become more and more difficult. This study analyzes the particularities of the present status of Albras workers political organization, based on the changes undergone by the company, and how those changes affected the Metal Industry Workers Union of the State of Pará (SIMETAL). It tries to understand the challenges to the workers collective actions towards a new structure within the industrial capitalism.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Desenho ideológico do BID: modelo de gestão no Promaben em Belém, Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-06) SANTANA, Joana ValenteThis article discusses the administrative model for cities promoted by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) for Latin America and the Caribbean, using as an example the Sanitation Program for the Estrada Nova watershed (Promaben), in the municipality of Belém, in Pará State. Based on Marxist social theory, IADB documents available on line related to projects approved by the bank in 26 Latin American and Caribbean countries from 1960 - 2011 were studied. The paper indicates the construction of an ideological design by IADB, related to the issues of financing, poverty and the environment. It reviews studies about ideology and the administrative model for cities and compares the IADB's stated objectives with the projects approved in Latin America and the Caribbean. It analyzes the resources destined to Promaben and reflects that under the appearance of decreasing poverty and attention to the environment, the IADB gives priority to physical infrastructure projects for cities and economic projects.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Responsabilidade social corporativa e direitos humanos: discursos e realidades(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-06) MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; MATHIS, ArminThis article conducts a critical analysis of the creation and consolidation of global parameters for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in relation to human rights in Europe and Brazil, in the current stage of globalized capitalism. As a methodological-theoretical resource, it is based, on the international level, on a set of legal norms about corporate social responsibility and human rights at transnational companies. On a national level, the study uses as a theoretical-methodological reference a bibliographic survey of the concept of CSR in new standards of peripheral capitalism, inserted in the context of globalization.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Sustentabilidade de empreendimentos econômicos solidários: análise da Cooperativa dos Fruticultores de Abaetetuba(2013-10) SILVA, Anderson Roberto Pires e; BARBOSA, Maria José de Souza; ALBUQUERQUE, Francivaldo dos SantosThe study aims to analysis the incubation processes, a social technology to the sustainability of solidarity economic enterprises. This work shows the Technological Incubator of Popular Cooperatives and Enterprises Solidarity (ITCPES), a program of teaching, research and extension to the "Cooperativa de Fruticultores de Abaetetuba (COFRUTA)". We started from the exploratory-descriptive in a qualitative and quantitative approach to demonstrate the process on dimensions of sustainability as: economic, social, political, management and training. Came to the result that the Incubator contributes to the sustainability of COFRUTA, especially with regard to planning, control and the need to diversify production.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Regularização fundiária e ações insurgentes na cidade de Belém: o caso Estrada Nova(Programa de Pós-Graduação em Serviço Social e Curso de Graduação em Serviço Social da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, 2016-09) CRUZ, Sandra Helena Ribeiro; ALVES, Edivania SantosThis article analyzes the Chão Legal [Legal Ground] program, being executed in the Estrada Nova watershed, identifying the conflicts that have emerged through the recognition of land ownership and security. The study used a bibliographic analysis, a reading of official documents, the accompanying of meetings and interviews with residents in the selected neighborhoods and presents their contestations and organizations. The results indicate the limits and challenges to guaranteeing the permanence of the residents on the legalized land, because it is difficult for the land regularization programs to promote socio-spatial integration.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Programa de Pós-Graduação em Serviço Social da UFPA: elementos históricos e temas de pesquisa em 20 anos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-08) MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; SANTANA, Joana Valente; CRUZ, Jaqueline do Nascimento; SILVA, Max Nazareno Miranda daIn the last twenty years, many research themes were addressed in the Master’s theses in Social Work and several challenges were faced by the Graduate Program in Social Work (PPGSS) of UFPA. This paper, written within the Brazilian context of graduate studies in Social Work, presents thematic data of 195 theses from PPGSS-UFPA, in the period from 1998 to 2016, and addresses the relationship between the study themes as well as the discussions held by the Brazilian Association of Teaching and Research in Social Work (ABEPSS), CFESS/CRESS (Federal and Regional Councils of Social Work) and the research directories in CNPq/field of Social Work. The bibliographic review of the theses indicates Work as the most frequently addressed theme, followed by Education and Training and Socio-Professional Space of Social Work, Urban and Agrarian Issues, Social Security, Generational Issues and Social Movements, among others.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Crise do capital e desmonte da Seguridade Social: desafios (im)postos ao serviço social(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12) CASTILHO, Daniela Ribeiro; LEMOS, Esther Luíza de Souza; GOMES, Vera Lúcia BatistaThis article proposes a critical reflection on the capital crisis, its inflections in labour's world, in the Brazilian conjuncture and impacts on the regression of rights. It analyzes the counter-reforms implemented since 1990s and the successive dismantling process of Social Security Policy. From the perspective of the professional ethical-political project, it problematizes the challenges before social workers as a constituent part of the working class.
