Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ações de educação ambiental na sensibilização da qualidade da água para consumo humano no assentamento Palmares, no município de Araguatins, Tocantins(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-05-22) LIMA, Lílian Natália Ferreira de; SILVA, Cleber Silva e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7673237583688618The importance of assessing the quality of water for human consumption is based on the fact that it is one of the main vehicles of infectious diseases. The objective of this research was to evaluate the quality of the water for human consumption, by means of the physical, chemical and microbiological characterization of the water of open and closed wells of the settlement Palmares, Araguatins (TO) and to develop an educational campaign based on the results obtained in the study, based on environmental education. The physical, chemical and microbiological parameters were collected during the period from October 16 to 20 in two wells of the settlement, using the multiparameter probe, turbidimeter, Ph meter, thermometer. The results obtained were compared with the resolution of the Ministry of Health nº 2.914 of 12/12/2011. The analyzed data of the wells of the settlement Palmares indicate that there is change in the behavior of some parameters. These changes were observed in the values of salinity (NaCl) that presented concentrations above the maximum concentrations allowed by Ministerial Order Nº 2.914 of 12/12/2011, the analysis of variance did not recognize the existence of significant differences between the collections of the mean values of the campaigns sampled from all groundwater parameters of the open and closed wells studied, indicating that there were no methodological errors, accepting the null hypothesis. According to Ordinance Nº 2.914/11/MS, results obtained in this study were unfit for human consumption, since the values of salinity, pH and E coli did not meet the potability standards, indicating contamination by organic matter. Still, it is concluded that the families of the palm groves are consuming water outside the potability standards stipulated by the Brazilian legislation and that the improvement of the quality of the water offered goes through the diffusion of sanitation technologies and the use of efficient methodologies for environmental education of the inhabitants of the settlements.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cianobactérias e poluição da água: uma sequência didática para o ensino de ciências ambientais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12-05) ATROCH, Rosa de Fátima Silva; MALCHER, Maria Ataide; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5418062253829906; SCHNEIDER, Maria Paula Cruz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3901112943859155This dissertation describes the process of elaboration, implementation and validation of a didactic sequence (SD) to explore the theme "Cyanobacteria and water pollution" with 6th grade students. The purpose of this study is to propose a didactic sequence to facilitate the practical approach of the subject by science teachers to 6th grade students, to test SD with teachers and to evaluate the use of SD in the learning process on the subject. This study was carried out in three state schools that offer the 6th year of elementary education in the urban area of the municipality of Soure, Marajó Island (PA). They are: School in Agreement Regime Stella Maris Institute, State School of Elementary and Middle School Professor Edda de Sousa Gonçalves and Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio Gasparino Batista da Silva. The teaching strategies used to formulate the SD and reach the learning objectives were thought based on the integrated constructivist model of Martine Méheut, which is based on the concepts of Didactic Engineering. The stages of SD elaboration, implementation and validation followed the following methodological organization: 1) The previous analysis: in order to define SD objectives and requirements, on-site observations and questionnaires were applied to teachers. 2) Conception: stage of planning and review of the activities that constitute the didactic sequence. 3) SD experimentation, implementation, validation and analysis: this stage was divided in validation and analysis with teachers, where SD was presented to the teachers in the form of a workshop and evaluated from an array of requirements by the five Science teachers of the three state schools present in the municipality of Soure - Marajó - Pará. And experimentation, implementation and validation with students with application of a pre-test and a post-test to 43 students distributed in two classes of the 6th year of the Stella Maris school. The data were analyzed by the qualitative method, and it was possible to conclude that the didactic sequence was validated as a resource applicable to the science classes in the context of the three state schools located in Soure. For the present study, which represents the first use of the didactic sequence produced, the results were satisfactory. However, they are not definitive, since SD should be tested, reviewed, used and validated in future contexts.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Resíduos sólidos urbanos, mapeamento e educação ambiental: proposta de instrumento para participação comunitária na questão ambiental no bairro da Marambaia, Belém-Pa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12-17) PEREIRA, Moacir José Moraes; LUCZYNSKI, Estanislau; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9749970886455933; PETRACCO, Marcelo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6834814201680920In urban cultures, we can observe a close relationship with the consumption of products of industrial origin, which generate waste that, when not disposed of and treated properly, has a significant impact on the urban environment. The population of the district of Marambaia, located in Belém do Pará, Brazil, with more than 65,000 inhabitants, has suffered from environmental problems related to the management of Urban Solid Waste -RSU, and has sometimes contributed to the increase of this environmental problem when irregularly discard these waste. In this sense, this study presents a platform for mapping points of irregular waste disposal in the Marambaia neighborhood, using geoprocessing techniques, computational tools and stimulation of neighborhood participation through participative and collaborative mapping, as well as field and application research of questionnaires in schools. Some results show that environmental perception is a relevant form of analysis and should be considered for environmental management and education processes. For the mapping, the places with the highest presence points of irregular waste disposal are public spaces. It was possible to identify that there is an important percentage of people who choose to hire people locally called 'carrinheiros' to dispose of part of the solid waste produced in their homes, contributing to the environmental problem. In the waste disposal points identified, more than 60% of them present economically viable materials, which would allow the implementation of selective collection and recycling of materials through the creation of Green Points. Environmental education activities contributed to the development of information multipliers on the problem of solid waste in the neighborhood.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Formação em educação ambiental: resultados didáticos pedagógicos de um curso de especialização(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12-19) DANTAS, Ana Paula Teixeira da Silva; SILVA, Marilena Loureiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7261982145077537This work deals with the training of teachers in the specialization course in Environmental Education, with emphasis on sustainable educational spaces, offered by UFPA / GEAM based on the guidelines and financing of the MEC / SECADI, with the objective of strengthening the National Policy of Environmental Education / PNEA. which was created to improve the educator's knowledge, bringing new learning ideas and making a difference in classroom pedagogical practice, specifically in environmental practices. To analyze the possibilities of how to transform the theoretical orientations from the training course in environmental education developed by PNEA into practical activities for primary education schools. The qualitative and conceptual approach was adopted for the analysis of this study, and to strengthen the ideas of the thematic was used bibliographical and documentary revision, which allowed to seek results of the veracity of the course practice. The subjects investigated were students of the first specialization course in Environmental Education with Emphasis on Sustainable Educator Spaces of the Pole of Belém, a survey was made of the graduation origin, age and locality of the same, collected through the registration form. The didactic products elaborated in team as an evaluative requirement of the Instrumentation Course for Environmental Education and Interdisciplinary Practice of the V module of the course was also object of research, emphasizing that we had access to the same through the moodle platform, a virtual learning environment , which assisted in the accomplishment of the activities carried out in face-to-face meetings and which were evaluated according to the preestablished criteria posted on the platform. The result identified that the formation of the educator in EE has become important to improve pedagogical practice in the question of environmental processes. The course provided a contextualized education with socioenvironmental reality, with the purpose of stimulating the construction of research and action teams in EE and of encouraging the transformation of schools into sustainable educational spaces. And through the products created to better learn the student, and to continue encouraging the teaching of the EA teacher was proposed and created, a guide and a manual, which make up an environmental educator kit. The educator, therefore, began to develop diversified methodologies that came to remedy the difficulties presented by the specialist, leading him to reflect on his praxis to improve his work.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O ensino contextualizado do direito ambiental na educação básica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-01-08) FALCÃO, Wilma Helena da Rocha; SILVA, Cleber Silva e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7673237583688618Environmental Law in the world gains relevance from the Stockholm Declaration, Rio-92 and the Johannesburg Conference. Based on these documents, the concept of Sustainable Development is consecrated as the great focus of this century, together with the eradication of poverty. Based on the need to know and study the definitions, Principles and environmental laws in schools, and the lack of teaching material related to the subject in this space, it was the proposal to create this resource, provided that it is easy to understand, to be used in an interdisciplinary way. The starting point for reaching the proposed goal was the application of dichotomous questionnaires in schools of public basic education and vocational education in Belém (Pará). Then, a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the collected data was carried out with the help of theoretical references related to the environmental theme. During the research it was verified that a great part of students and teachers do not know the basic notions of environmental law nor the structure and functioning of SISNAMA, however they showed interest and curiosity in learning about the subject, especially when the pilot of the primer was presented with notions environmental law in a simplified form. Based on the data obtained, a booklet was elaborated with basic notions of Law 6.938 / 81 establishing the PNMA.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Quiz ambiental um aplicativo utilizado para o ensino das ciências ambientais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-05-31) ESTEVAM, Rogério Sousa; SANTOS, Davis Castro dos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7784257182257171; PEREIRA, Simone de Fátima Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6059412003152989Issues such as environmental issues that deal with issues related to air and water pollution, greenhouse effect and acid rain, served as the basis for the elaboration of a pedagogical tool, with the objective of assisting teachers and students in the teaching and learning process. The Environmental Quiz is a mobile phone software that was developed and tested in order to evaluate its use as a tool to help in the construction of knowledge related to environmental sciences. The application features a question and answer format with multiple choice questions of different difficulty levels, which was applied to a group of teachers and students of vocational qualification courses, in a Vocational Education Institution and in a network school state, both located in the city of Barcarena - PA, between 2018 and 2019. Among the results, we observed the involvement and participation of both students and teachers during the execution of activities related to the use of this tool. However, some difficulties encountered during the application of the game were also observed, such as the need for internet access for its installation and completion, as well as the degree of complexity of some issues, which was evident after the tests performed. The information collected in this process demonstrated that the use of technologies, such as applications for smartphones, can be an ally in the process of building knowledge related to environmental science teaching.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Brinquedos sustentáveis como instrumentos de ensino de Ciências Ambientais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-10) CORDOVIL, Franklen dos Santos; ROCHA, Edson José Paulino da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2313369423727020This paper aims to point out the subsidies provided by the reuse of disposable / low cost materials, in particular, paper, cardboard, PET bottles, among others, to make sustainable toys that collaborate in the teaching-learning process, especially during the teaching classes. within the school environment, thus acting as promoters of environmental science teaching. Thus, it is suggested that practical educational activities adopted here about scientific education, environmental education, and sustainability in the form of instructional material contribute to its relevance to change the attitudes of users from these toys. Regarding the methodology this work was developed in three stages: initially a theoretical foundation was made on the subject in question through research in specialized bibliographies; In the next step a preliminary questionnaire was elaborated that leads the questioner to reflect on provocative questions used for the elaboration of the technical product, the guide of making sustainable toys, through the expert panel methodology. Then, the questionnaires, once applied, were returned immediately after obtaining the answers. With the application of these questionnaires we tried to unite the pedagogical considerations pointed out by the teachers. As a data analysis instrument we used the content analysis technique in order to interpret important information about the perception of experts. Later, in the third stage, a second batch of questionnaires were reapplied in order to analyze the efficiency of sustainable toys in the study. And at the end, the teachers (the panel of experts) invited to this study, after reevaluation and validation of this proposal, approved the final version of the technical product presented here.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Acidentes com animais aquáticos em pescadores artesanais em um município da costa Amazônica: do levantamento ao tratamento(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-18) SILVA, Patrícia Fernandes da; MARTINELLI FILHO, José Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2080628833884538Accidents with aquatic animals may occur whenever men invade the animal’s environment or handle it without proper care. Many studies reported cnidarians, stingrays, catfishes, toadfishes and others as dangerous to man, nevertheless information is scarce and inconclusive for the Brazilian North region. The frequency of accidents is probably high at the Pará state since fisheries is an important activity, although the cases are not adequately registered. Artisanal fisheries are an economic and socially important activity for the coastal municipalities in the Brazilian Amazon and gathers a great number of fishermen. Artisanal fishermen, are thus associated to a great risk of accidents caused by aquatic animals. The present study analyzes the frequency and variability of the occurrence of accidents with aquatic animals on artisanal fishermen, and related to different fishing strategies. It also explores the ethnobiological knowledge about the causative animals, treatment methods and accidents prevention. Data was collected at São Caetano de Odivelas municipality (Pará state), where traditional communities are sustained by artisanal fisheries. A total of 154 interviews were collected, gathering socioeconomic and ethnobiological information about accidents with aquatic animals. Accidents occurred in 98,7% of the interviewers and were associated to the daily labor from artisanal fisheries. Stingrays, catfishes and toadfishes were responsible for the most of the accdients (81,6%), independent from the different fishing strategies. The search for medical care was uncommon after a accident (26,3%) and the recommended medical procedures were no adopted by the fishermen. The number of accidents was higher with a lower scholar level among the fishermen (p < 0,001). In order to reach the artisanal fishermen, a didactical product (a calendar) was developed, with information to aid the avoidance, treatment and procedures after an accident with an aquatic animal.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A educação ambiental como apoio ao manuseio e tratamento dos resíduos sólidos em comunidades ribeirinhas: estudo de caso em Abaetetuba-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-24) SANTOS, Albenita Ribeiro dos; LUCZYNSKI, Estanislau; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9749970886455933One of the major environmental concerns of contemporary society is the consequences that excessive consumption of products of industrial origin has on nature, especially the destination given after their use, this concern is observed in both urban and rural areas. The Abaetetuba-PA riverside communities are among those facing serious problems in the disposal of solid waste, giving them convenient but inadequate treatment. In this sense, this work was carried out in public schools of three riverside communities in the city, from January to December 2018, whose objective was to analyze the practice of Environmental Education as a motivator of sustainable actions regarding the proper use and handling of waste. solid. The research is qualitative and quantitative and participated in the work students of 8th and 9th grade of elementary school. Questionnaires were applied and pedagogical practices were developed, such as lectures, extracurricular activities, workshops and the elaboration of an environmental education booklet. The results were positive and are presented through graphs and tables. It was found that, before the activities, more than half of the students of the three schools, about 70%, were unaware of concepts such as sustainability, environmental education, solid waste, among others, and found the correct destination that their community was giving to household waste, as well as certain old practices of the population such as burning of waste. After the pedagogical activities we can notice the change of mentality in these students. With the knowledge acquired and through the introduction of environmental education, 90% of students thought and acted in a sustainable manner, even condemning any practice that could endanger the environment and their quality of life. Thus, they began to look for alternatives that could alleviate the consequences of improper disposal of solid waste. In addition, they began to bring information from their relatives and those interested in the topic, which until then was known to few. With this, they become multipliers of sustainable actions, contributing to the maintenance of their quality of life. Through an interview with the representative of the Secretariat of the Environment, we learned about projects aimed at minimizing the problem of solid waste disposal on the Abaetetuba Islands and the environmental booklet contributed to promote reflection and motivate the student to new ecological practices. The expected result is that new booklets will be produced and worked with students from all grades in both urban and rural areas of other municipalities and thus expand the practice of environmental education for the protection and preservation of the environment.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O extrato de açaí como indicador ácido-base: um manual didático para experimentos com água de chuva no ensino de química(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-26) MACEDO, Adriana Costa; PEREIRA, Simone de Fátima Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6059412003152989; 6059412003152989Natural extracts can be obtained from various sources such as purple cabbage, beet, grape and açaí. And they serve as acid-base indicators because they contain a substance called anthocyanin and can be used in chemistry classes. One way to use them is in the analysis of rainwater, to verify the presence of acidity and consequently the formation of rain acid, a phenomenon that can be intensified with the presence of industries and / or presence of large flow of automobiles. In order to work on these issues, a didactic manual addressing these issues was constructed. It consists of: a brief summary on the acid and base teaching; natural indicators; industrial urban activity; the use of the acid rain theme in chemistry classes; the industrial pole of Barcarena. It also has a didactic sequence with a script of theoretical and practical classes. For the practical classes is presented an experimental kit with a highlight for the color change of natural dyes, rich in anthocyanins, which can be used as pH indicators. Contextualizing the Amazon region, the alcoholic extract of açaí was used for the assembly of this kit that was applied in the determination of acidity of rainwater and household materials. The acidity determined in the samples of rainwater may be related to the intense industrial activity in the region of Barcarena. The manual was applied in a 1st grade class with forty students from Jesus Barros Pereira Elementary School and Middle School Acy, where they answered questions before and after the application of the theoretical and experimental classes and the result showed that there was an improvement of the understanding and absorption of the concepts presented there. This methodology was presented to five professors of Chemistry of the state education network, who were enrolled in Barcarena schools. Teachers unanimously evaluated the proposed methodology by stating that they will use it in their chemistry classes. The use of the didactic manual evidenced the importance of applying experimental methods to provide the student with a more effective teaching-learning.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Sistemas de manejo em açaizais nativos praticados por comunidades ribeirinhas na ilha Maracapucu Palmar, Abaetetuba - Pará –Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-27) MAUÉS, Raimundo da Conceição da Silva; BOSCHILIA, Solana Meneghel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6512542852817389The main goal of this study is to identify the management systems used by riverine communities on native açai crops in three igarapés, in the Abaetetuba islands-Para State-Brazil. The study related the scientific models of management in the literature, suggesting to the community, measures that increase the productivity of the açai crops. The study area has a diverse topography (islands, rivers, igarapés, furos, bays, beaches and coasts) which constitutes the riverine zone or as known as Abaetetuba islands region. In this region, the forest management for açai extraction is made by the riverine community that historically survive with extractivism. In the last years occurred an increase of visibility and valuation of the açai, causing the augment of producers and extractors in the region and, consequent anthropic pression over the native açai crops requiring some consideration. In this context, a set of planning and techniques of açai harvesting, adapted to the forest and social and economical characteristics is needed and it is important to ensure a more sustainable management. During the development of this study, interviews were made with the açai producers in the region studied, gathering information that elucidated the understanding about their relationship with the forest and their productive practices. The campaigns were made between November 2017 and December 2018. Notes about the features of the managed areas, photographic registers and location were taken. The management practices observed had a parallel with the practices indicated in the scientific literature. However, many management practices used by the riverine communities deserve attention and orientation, otherwise they could cause great economical and environmental damage. In addition to the lack of technical guidance, the community is lacking in information about financial support to produce açai. In order to promote an improvement of techniques, knowledge and access to logistics and financial support, we elaborated a manual called Manual Ecológico Para Manejo de Açaizal de Várzea. There is information that helps, not only the açai producers, improving their forest management practices, but also the entire local riverine community that depends of the forest. The manual also promotes awareness of the environmental sustainability.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ensino por investigação para promoção da educação ambiental(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-09-27) NAZARÉ, Amanda Santos de; CUNHA , Marcia Valeria; SILVA, Cleber Silva e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7673237583688618; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7086-8751Education as an act of transformation is based on problematization, in which students become critical subjects, reflexive, in a constant act of investigation and understanding of reality, thus constructing a real awareness of the problems surrounding it and Allowing participation in the search for solutions, which is intrinsically related to the field of environmental education, because it can be recognized as a field of complexity, of social relationships, affective and subjective. Based on these conceptions and from the problematic "How to promote environmental education so that it is meaningful to the participants?”, the present research has as general objective the promotion of environmental education through teaching through research. Presenting an exploratory methodology, because the execution of the activities was based on the social interactions and the individual and collective production of the participants during the “Sequência de Ensino Investigativo” (SEI) that worked the theme Water Resources. The data were analyzed using the observational study and descriptive statistics, qualifying this research as quali-quantitative. As a result, we present an analysis of the perception of teachers and students about the deal with environmental education in the school environment and how this reflects in the formation of the participants and the ability that they have to act in their community in proposing solutions. As a product of this dissertation was elaborated the journal “Meio Informacional" that contains the didactic game Learning with Inclusion, having as content all the perception assimilated by the students about the problematic, becoming an instrument of Environmental awareness for the general community and instrument of citizen training for the participants involved in their production. Concluding, in fact, teaching by research can be developed for the promotion of environmental education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Educação ambiental e interdisciplinaridade: da formação inicial à prática pedagógica na educação básica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-11-14) AVELAR, Marcilene Calandrine de; LAUTERT, Luiz Fernando de Carli; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1124000795676509; SILVA, Marilena Loureiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7261982145077537Theinsertion of environmental education (EE) in an interdisciplinary and permanent manner has been a real challenge for the educational system, both in higher and basic education, since the creation of the National Policy of Environmental Education, Law 9795/99. However, attempts have been made over those yearsto fertilize an approach in the theoretical field and its practical implementation, oriented by the contextualization, articulation and resignification of environmental knowledges. Based on this, this research aims to recognize the existence and organization of EE in the curriculum of the PARFOR-Pedagogia-UFPA (National Plan for the Training of Basic Education Teachers, Pedagogy, Federal University of Pará) course and its contributions tothe application of interdisciplinary pedagogical practices at São Miguel Municipal School in Abaetetuba/PA. The theoretical discourse is based on the concepts of EE on the conservationist, pragmatic and critical emancipator macrotrends for understanding the complexity of environmental issues, according to authors Loureiro and Layrargues, Leff, Morin, among other authors who deal with the subject. Regarding the type of research, action research with a qualitative approach was chosen. For data collection, a documentary analysis was first made in the Pedagogical Political Project of the Course (PPC), followed by a questionnaire for 30 teachers/students from the PARFOR-Pedagogia-UFPA, and for the investigation of the pedagogical practice in the basic education, the systematic observation of the pedagogical practices at School. The results were systematized through mental maps and point to a gradual change in the insertion of EE in the higher education curriculum and the conception of the importance of effective interdisciplinary practices in basic education, although there are still gaps throughout the educational process. These findings were fundamental for the elaboration of the research product that consisted of an interactive and interdisciplinary paradidactic book of Environmental Education, elaborated together with two teachers and twenty-two students of themultigrade class of the 4th and 5th grade from elementary school I of São Miguel Municipal School in Abaetetuba/PA. The validation of the paradidactic book was made through a questionnaire applied to the 30 participating teachers/students and another 10 teachers from a municipal school in Ananindeua/PA. The results showed that the book is an interdisciplinary didactic resource, with potential applicability in different contexts and that will enable the student to learn significantly in relation to socio-environmentalissues.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aspectos geoambientais dos recursos hídricos do Rio Cuinarana, Magalhães Barata - Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-11-29) SILVA, Silvano Costa da; FERREIRA, Cristiane de Paula; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7804816854015308The present work had the objective of mapping the Cuinarana river basin and describing the state of conservation of the sources in the municipality of Magalhães Barata, northern Pará, through an environmental diagnosis of the headwaters and cartographic production of thematic maps, in order to subsidize actions to promote the maintenance and sustainable use of water resources. It should be noted that there is no information of this nature for the studied municipality and therefore the area was chosen for the study, as a way of detecting the environmental problems in this basin, in order to develop public policies directed to environmental education. The study identified the situations of degradation of the main springs, in addition to georeferencing the Cuinarana River. The procedures adopted for the elaboration of the environmental diagnosis of the headwaters were based on evaluation protocols, which emphasize the physical integrity of the habitat around the headwaters, observing the aspects of the use and occupation of the soil, predominant vegetation, characteristic of the springs, its uses and the state of conservation. For the river maps, the boundary of the Cuinarana River basin was based on georeferenced relief data from the area in question, derived from the dot matrix products of the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), prepared by the US government agency National Aeronautics and Space Admistration ( NASA), and provided with correction calculations by the National Institute of Space Research (INPE), Brazil. The results obtained demonstrated that of the 11 springs raised, three 3 are in poor condition due to environmental impacts. The information from the maps shows that the Cuinarana River basin has undergone a process of transformation due to anthropic interference, resulting in different socio-environmental problems unaccompanied by effective environmental planning policies. Faced with the problem, the research product is a didactic atlas of the Cuinarana River Hydrographic Basin, composed of 10 thematic maps.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Monitoramento por sensoriamento remoto da concentração de clorofila-a e das florações de cianobactérias no Baixo Tapajós : audiovisual praias do Tapajós para gerações presentes e futuras(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-02-10) ARAÚJO, James Leão de; MALCHER, Maria Ataíde; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5418062253829906; SCHNEIDER, Maria Paula Cruz; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3901112943859155The Tapajós River is the fifth largest river in the Amazon Basin. From Aveiro to Santarém, it resembles a lake and favors the eutrophication process. It is under pressure such as: deforestation, gold mining, use as a waterway and tourism. The beaches between Santarém and Belterra, gained evidence when in 2009 the newspaper The Guardian, chose Alter do Chão as the best beach in Brazil. The growth of tourist activities and infrastructure was notable. In 2015 after bathing water quality analyzes, Alter do Chão was banned. The increase in planktonic blooms has been observed by popular researchers since the 1990s. Extending the studies, 2450 km2 of remote sensing was monitored from Aveiro to Santarém, obtaining the blooming areas of cyanobacteria, concentrations of chlorophyll-a, nutrient pollution and risk levels for contact activities. The occurrence of cyanobacteria is linked to variations in rainfall and river level. The greatest health risks occur at the maximum points of drought in November and flooding in May. The areas with the highest occurrence of blooms and the highest concentrations of chlorophyll-a are upstream from the beaches of intense use. The increase in human activities and the occupation of the soil, may be responsible for the increase in flowering. This information must be disseminated through a didactic-informative product for Basic Education. An audiovisual was produced for application in Basic Education called “Praias do Tapajós For Present and Future Generations”, as the time of 23’16” divided into 07 blocks related to the researched content. The audiovisual was applied in six classes of two schools of basic education, in the High School, being one in Belém the Federal Institute of Pará and another in Santarém the São Raimundo Nonato State School, totaling eleven hours of application. The audiovisual product was validated through a 'likert' questionnaire, observing conceptual points related to the acquired knowledge, relationship with studied contents, involvement in environmental issues and quality of the material presented. The average rejection rates were always below 25% while approval was always above 75%.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ensino de ciências ambientais: desenvolvendo um recurso pedagógico a partir do tema gerador água(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-02-19) MENDES, Milene Pereira; SILVA, Cleber Silva e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7673237583688618; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7086-8751This study aimed to develop a methodological proposal based on the generative theme "water" and from it build a pedagogical resource in order to promote learning, generate reflections and stimulate the critical sense of students about environmental issues. In this sense, the work that is outlined as a case study and has a quali-quantitative approach was developed in a school from the private school network. The research subjects were 17 basic education teachers and 150 students divided into experimental and control classes. The technique for collecting data applied to teachers and students used the questionnaire as a research tool. Besides the questionnaires, two observation boards were used. Based on the results obtained, it was possible to verify that although in the conception of all teachers the approach to water is relevant, not all feel prepared to do it. It was also found that although most consider the use of games as a pedagogical resource to be relevant, not all make use of them in their classes; the use of games being observed during the survey by only 20% of the teachers. About the students, the study showed that educational proposals based on the generative theme "water" are able to facilitate and contribute to learning. The results, however, were significantly more expressive in the classes where the game was applied. It is thus shown that educational games are relevant in basic education because they are able to enhance learning and contribute significantly when included in educational practices. From the application of the educational product, it is also shown that the game was able to stimulate, fundamentally, the participation and arouse the interest of the groups of students involved.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A responsabilidade socioambiental e a formação inicial de novos gestores: experimentos sociopedagógicos em uma IES no município de Abaetetuba/PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-30) MELO, Breno Anderson Pereira; RAVENA CAÑETE, Voyner; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9961199993740323; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8528-3086The current corporate scenario seeks to integrate social and environmental elements in the management process, where organizational effectiveness would be much more than allocating resources and maximizing results, it would involve the ability of managers to harmonize business management and Social and Environmental Responsibility in the search for sustainability. It belongs to the canopy layer in the forest, it is shade tolerant and it grows well in the agroforestry system. The cacao crops began in the region of Transamazon and Xingu in the seventies and since then, the area has presented growth. Nowadays, the State of Pará became the largest producer of cacao in Brazil. The study promoted an increase of knowledge of the students of the Community School Casa Familiar Rural of the city Uruará, Brazil, known as CFRU, through the training course about the importance of the cacao production system. Along with the training course, we used the qualitative approach through circles of conversation and questionnaire to raise information over the knowledge that the students have about the importance of the trees used to shade the cacao crops. Also, this primary contact was to identify other uses of the trees, leading to the benefit to the family and investment in the properties. The quantitative approach was used in the sampling of environmental, socioeconomic, and floristic data in the properties of the student ́s families of the CFRU. The course promotes the students to understand and realize most environmental problems and that they are compromising theirs owns farms. The students were aware that measures need to be done to control the advance of these problems, and they know that too little has been done to minimize them. In the cacao crops, it was identified more than 56 species of native trees that have been planted or regenerated from the budding of logs or germination of seeds. All the tree species sampled had environmental or socio-economic importance to the owners of the land. It was observed the presence of many animal species that use the system in search of shelter or food. Among the tree species that farmers introduce in the cacao crop, most of them are Amazonian native species, and some are endemic. Some species have a risk of extinction, therefore, being part of the cacao agroforestry system, they are protected. There are water springs and igarapes being protected by these trees, which reduce the siltation caused by the floods. Completing the course, 20 tree species, that promote shade over the cacao, were selected to be part of a book, which is the outcome of this dissertation. The production of cacao by the familiar agriculture, in the region of Transamazon and Xingu, it is not only an income source but has, as well, a relevant environmental and socio-economic importance, with agroforestry features. This ecosystem, formed by the union of cacao production and the amazon trees, which promotes shading, contributes to the conservation and preservation of many species, including animals and other plants.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Horto de plantas medicinais e sua aplicabilidade no ensino para graduação em farmácia e áreas afins(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-05-29) XAVIER JÚNIOR, Sebastião Ribeiro; FERREIRA, Cristiane de Paula; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7804816854015308Men seek in nature resources to improve their own living conditions, making us completely dependent on plants, which in turn are present in human life in the most different ways. However, the accelerated deforestation in the region, where there is a natural occurrence of several medicinal species, requires rapid action to rescue, conserve and study these vegetables. In this way, the installation of plant gardens associated with the use of a booklet, can contribute significantly to studies in several areas of knowledge. In this perspective, the present work aims to create a vegetable garden composed of medicinal plants and a booklet about them in the pharmacy course at UFPA, in order to subsidize research, teaching and extension for this and other undergraduate courses. The total of 42 species of plants were considered medicinal for the creation of the vegetable garden. The plants were collected and taken for identification at the IAN herbarium (Embrapa Amazônia Oriental), all materials were photographed and inserted in the vegetable garden. The data generated were used to produce the booklet of medicinal plants. For to assess the vegetable garden, a course on medicinal plants was prepared and organized with undergraduate students and technical level, in which two questionnaires (I and II) were applied, with the purpose of providing information on the knowledge related to the theme before and after the course. For the validation of the booklet, the product was sent to researchers and teachers for evaluation and suggestions. Thus, the medicinal plant garden was created with a total of 42 species, at UFPA, in an area of 40m x 20m. For the validation of this tool, 46 students who participated in the course were interviewed with the presence of six institutions: UFPA, UFRA, IFPA, UNAMA, COSMOPOLITA and ESAMAZ. The courses represented were: Pharmacy (38 students), Forest Engineering (3), Nursing (3) and the Technical Course in Environment (2), the research confirmed the students' interest in a space like the garden, demonstrating some knowledge about medicinal plants and emphasizing the importance of a space for their professional training. Regarding the booklet, 22 professionals (teachers and researchers) in the area, analyzed the material and confirmed that they could use this teaching material (100%) as a resource in conjunction with the vegetable garden in their classes, emphasizing the importance of using materials that escape conventional and talk to the students' reality. In general, all respondents understand the importance of products like these (vegetable garden and booklet) for the enhancement and increase in the teaching of botany, highlighting the importance of a space for the development of the medicinal plants theme and its use linked to didactic material.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Consumo racional da água: uso de sequência didática no ambiente escolar(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-03) FURTADO, Simone Carvalho de Souza; ROCHA , Edson José Paulino da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2313369423727020; SILVA, Marilena Loureiro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7261982145077537Water is increasingly showing itself as a finite and vital natural resource for human existence, as it is a substance that participates in most natural and industrial processes. Current estimates of use and inadequate consumption of this resource, considering waste and contamination, reveal that in a few years the world will face a significant deficit in water supply. According to data from the Ministry of the Environment and the National Information and Sanitation System, waste in the country is around 38% of treated water, in some regions such as the North and Northeast, an index that can exceed 50%, in addition to contamination of rivers and lakes that contribute to increase this water stress. In this sense, the research proposes to contribute significantly to the teaching of Environmental Sciences with regard to the theme of water, with the general objective of proposing a Didactic Sequence (SD) to address the theme "Rational Consumption of Drinking Water" for assist in the teaching- learning process with teachers and students of the 4th and 5th years of Elementary School held at EEEFM Izabel dos Santos Dias in Icoaraci, district of the municipality of Belém - PA. The research was carried out through the qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews for school managers and coordinators and structured questionnaires for teachers and students for data collection. This research was based on the conception of learning that is guided by a Historical-cultural approach to human development, based on the Socio- interactionism of Lev Vygotsky and on the teaching methodological proposal through Dolz Didactic Sequence , Noverraz and Schneuwly. The final results pointed to the need to encourage students to think about the environment as an extension of their life and that their individual and collective actions directly interfere in this process of preserving natural resources and the environment. Water should be treated as a natural, finite and fundamental element for survival, taking care not to waste this resource in daily practice, favoring its rational consumption. It is concluded that the Didactic Sequence is in fact an efficient educational product to address the theme of rational water consumption, as well as other themes in the elementary school space; in addition to constituting a strategy that values students' prior knowledge, which also helps teachers in working with the school curriculum, aiming at this dialogue between School and Community, as it contributes towards making a correlation and associating the problems experienced daily, whether basic sanitation, violence, misuse of water or its culture, within a larger world context that involves several socio-environmental and socio-cultural factors in the teaching-learning process of students and teachers working in Basic Education in the count.
