Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Abuso incestuoso infantil: o poder judiciário garante a proteção integral da criança vítima?(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-03-31) GUIMARÃES, Sandra Suely Moreira Lurine; LOUREIRO, Violeta Refkalefsky; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3092799127943216Incestuous child abuse can already be considered a problem of public health due to its high incidence and the harm caused to the child’s development. The dynamics of this form of violence is complex and involves psychological, social and legal aspects. The present study aims to accomplish an approach on this theme starting from its social and legal interface. We shall argue that incestuous practice can compromise the balanced development of the child and thus deny her condition of subject of desire as well as her condition of subject of rights. In both forms of denial of subjectivity, the child is seen only as an object. Our goal has consisted in analyses how judiciary power brazilian has faced the cases of incestuous abuse, in order to investigate the treatment dispensed to the child victim. We discuss that the criminal model, grounded on punitivism is limited to punish the aggressor, relegating the victim to a secondary plan such that she plays only the role of probatory object in the process. Because of the, we sign that Restorative Justice, being an approach focused in the victim, is in line with Victimology, and is the proper legal model to interrupt this modality of violence. For it cares about repair and mainly because it contributes to the child’s resiliency process.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Amazônia, projeto desenvolvimentista, dissimulação e barbárie(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010) PONTE, Zuleide Pamplona Ximenes; LOUREIRO, Violeta Refkalefsky; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3092799127943216This work is a thesis about the regional development project of Brazilian 1964 dictatorship, specifically about the Amazon region and in the period called as the Nova República (1986-1989). This last one could take us to, for instance, a study of literary genders, analysis of the use of the literary language, and their uses inside of a certain social-historical moment. However, all those shades don't get to break with the vision of the literature that leaves of the creative individuality, taking us to a naive apprehension of the literary text. We will use the literary text as one more instrument of which the man makes use to try to understand their time. Placing the literary text starting from the characteristics that ratify the bookkeeping of a literary text in its time-space. Then, we will analyze the author's course, Benedicto Monteiro, one of intellectuals in Amazon, starting from his literary texts “Verdevagomundo”, “O minossauro”, “A terceira margem” e “Aquele um”, called Amazonian tetralogy making an against-point with his autobiographical text Transtempo and his speeches in reports author/agent-subject of research/author, seeking the probable mediations, also built in other social spaces, that can turn this author a more way of reading the decade of 70 in the Century XX, moment disturbed in Brazil and of the military government's intense incursion in the Amazon, that in Benedicto Monteiro's text is punctuated in the Amazônia Paraense, Baixo-Amazonas.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Brincar é coisa séria?: um estudo do brinquedo na cultura da modernidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-01) PORTO, Íris Maria Ribeiro; LOUREIRO, Violeta Refkalefsky; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3092799127943216This study searches toys as material and symbolic culture members aiming to discuss changes and meanings in modern culture before globalization of cultural industry. It focus this discussion in four categories of toys: traditional, industrial, regional and virtual, that nowadays make the act of playing. It is based on the affirmative that modern playing is fluid, quick and dislocated. People are only consumers in modern culture because toys are related to the things that happen in society, its beliefs, ideology, habits, ethics and system of language and values. So there is a disillusion about the world that operates in childhood through the toys. Children have in their hands an image that allows actions and manipulations in consonance with the representations suggested by industries of cultural possessions. It shows toys in this modern culture as a product and its images, senses and symbols are reflections of the perception of society about childhood. This study was done in São Luís, Maranhão, aiming to get the changes between two kinds of economical situations, parents of four different groups, shopkeepers and artisans. It is a qualitative research. Its results shows that toys nowadays have potential to seduce people to consume them, with senses and functions to fit all different places; therefore toys faces the problem of managing local and global characteristics. This study concludes that modern culture has brought loss and profit to the act of playing in the transition of the handiwork pattern to the industry work. It also concludes that changes we see in toys in the last four decades of the twentieth century are not restricted to them, but are restricted to a system that has been established and implies in changes in popular children’s culture, and moreover in the places of children in modern culture.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Casa dos Días: a vida no cárcere feminino(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012) SANTANA, Ana Paula Palheta; MOTTA-MAUÉS, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861116876230464This paper discusses the perceptions that women sentenced to a closed Female Reeducation Center (CRF), women's prison located in Pará State, built on the criminal justice system in which they operate, from what they refer/represent as crime, justice and freedom ― basic categories for research that ultimately served mainly to reveal a world of higher correlations within the space searched. The discussion comes from fieldwork conducted in 2010 and the first half of 2011, with a group of twelve interlocutors, two prison guards and two policemen who were interviewed in order to highlight the different relationships established from life in prison. In this perspective, the data for research allude to the fact that the women's prison is not a simple space where the interlocutors are the obligation of the sentence, it is reworked and remeaning daily, marking the changes of values, ideas and behaviors of women sentenced, making certainties of life in prison prior to recurring questions and also create opportunities for new social arrangements.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cidade Velha e Feliz Lusitânia: cenários do Patrimônio Cultural em Belém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-10-31) MIRANDA, Cybelle Salvador; BELTRÃO, Jane Felipe; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6647582671406048The Thesis was motivated by the rediscovery of Cidade Velhas district, in Belém, state of Pará, rediscovered by the authors childhood and the district as a memory space and landmarks for the risorgimento of Pará state. Analyze the concepts of patrimony in modern city, as though the mythic imaginary which lives in the citizens memory in tree stages: Pombal Colonization; the Belle Èpoque and the New Pará. The argumentation is constructed by actors narratives such as: old residents, new residents, business men, patrimony technician, so by the images reading which help to tell the districts history and to tell how is it saw as a heritage. The ethnographic method and the semiotic were the reading guides for the written spoken and visual materials, helping to the researchers position as an older habitant, architect and plastic artist. Drawing a map with the culture concepts in the Cidade Velhas district, since the residents point of view to the planers of Feliz Lusitânia Project, this work is as open view of the theme heritage in Cidade Velha, which revels contradiction between the definition of patrimony of the patrimony technician and the social groups.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cientistas, visitantes e guias nativos na construção das representações de ciência e paisagem na Floresta Nacional de Caxiuanã(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) BEZERRA, Maria das Graças Ferraz; ANTONAZ, Diana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7547028254641362Study analysis scientific knowledge production process in a traditional knowledge setting at Caxiuanã National Forest, in Melgaço, Pará, Amazon, Brazil, where the Goeldi Museum maintains a scientific basis open for Brazilian and International researchers. Among the social conflicts, those involving the use of nature are the most worrisome, especially because of the shortage that natural resources are currently subjected. The environment is part of diffuse interests, the individuals that the environment would be preserved, however, there are few who embrace these goals as dominant in their socioeconomic activities. This behavior increases the pressures on environmental resources, including the legally protected areas. The environmental conflicts related to the management of these areas are present at all stages of their institution, and occur from the conceptions of the major theoretical and philosophical currents that support the preservation and conservation of nature. In Brazil it is common to establish protected areas to resolve the tensions between natural resource exploitation and sustainability of ecosystems. However, what happens in general is the escalation of conflicts in areas constituted. Amapá stands on the national scene as one of the states which have a high degree of preservation and a significant percentage of protected areas. But the conflict between managers and users of these areas are constant and intense in many cases, causing degradation of natural resources of these spaces. The orthodox alternative to solve the conflict do not appear effective and it is necessary to adopt measures such as negotiations to alleviate or resolve the tensions related to the sustainability of environmental resources. To support the negotiation literature provides methodologies, techniques and tools that facilitate the process of negotiation and decision making to solve the conflicts present in these areas. The use of techniques and tools, although more laborious and requires a long time becomes more effective. For when the actors participate actively in the negotiations and find solutions, commitment and accountability become part of the process management unit, and this performance depend not only the sustainability of natural resources, but stay in your own area.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) A contribuição do pensamento de Emmanuel Mounier para uma reflexão ético-cristã-personalista da pessoa na contemporaneidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008) ABREU, Verônica do Couto; MENDONÇA, Kátia Marly Leite; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5325063796266136The present work explains the proposal of Mounier's social, political, christian and ethical philosophy leaded by his philosophical anthropology which mainstay is the Person conceived not only in it's personality - essential vocation of existence - but, overall, in it's comunitary dimension, social/political, transcedental and in the comprehension of the Person like a human being within another surrounding the idea of comunity as the social structure which best allows for Human Beings perform their relational natures. Within that proposal, I intend to discuss Mounier´s main ideas articulated with authors whose influenced directly Mounier's philosophy like Paul Louis Landsberg, Gabriel Marcel, Max Scheler and Paul Ricouer, going towards Buber's ideas, which some concepts of his thought have a big approximation with Mounier's main ideas. The essential elements of Mounier's ideas are the incorporated and incarnated existence in the world itself, comunication, vocation and freedom. Thus, the political model which would better support this kind of communinity is the proposal of a project based in a personalism, which social, political and economic structures are founded in the primacy of the person, above institutions, political or economic processes and which person is based in a comunitary being. The path to attain this model would be a permanet revolution, overall, a spiritual revolution, product of a social and economic decentralization wich would restructure society utterly.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) O corpo da alma: cosmos, casa e corpo espírita kardecista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-09-27) PAES, Anselmo do Amaral; MAUÉS, Raymundo Heraldo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0915136632611666The object of this study is to understand and highlight the role of the body in religious field by investing in an analysis of brazilian kardecist spiritual embodiment, which is constructed by social representations and imaginary. The analytical effort and the distribution of the chapters are based on the schema macro/microscopic – “Cosmos-house-body”. The first part deals with the construction of kardecism by its encoder, the French intellectual Hippolyte Rivail, known as Alan Kardec (Paris, 1804-1869), and its pretensions to unify “science, philosophy and religion”, producing a Cosmos. The second part presents the Spiritist Centre as a sacred space of its ritual universe. The third and last part is focused on the “body”, as semantic referential, which appears too as heuristic tool for analysis. Analyzing the conceptions and imaginary over the body in Kardecism, this work proposes that relations between the spiritual world, the Spiritist Centre and the body are crucial for understanding the spiritist person.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Da fala das ruas à fala dos tribunais: a retórica jurídica e seus impactos nas relações sociais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009) FRANCO, Evanilde Gomes; LOUREIRO, Violeta Refkalefsky; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3092799127943216This work presents the universe of legal language from the point of view of the semiotics of law. It brings up the analysis and the formulations of the argumentative aspects involved in law rhetorical themes aimed at showing how the argumentative force of legal speech establishes a kind of social tension starting from the relations among the various components of legal language which can be found in legitimation, neutralization, domination, and delimitation of the order created by the state. The research is an analysis of discourse and rhetoric in the light of rationality and the fundamentation that comes to the legitimation developed by state law. A rigorous exam of prosecution data was collected in order to discuss the actions of the Courts of justice in Pará. There was also the use of some interviews with authorities in this area. The references were those of contradictions between the system of law rationality and the way it is actually used in the legal domain, it identifies the connection between democracy and the state of law, all included in legal speech which can bring judicial system near the common citizen or push them apart.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Discursos do conflito entre os diferentes agentes mediadores dos movimentos envolvidos no caso Eldorado do Carajás: novas tendências e práticas políticas(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-06) SILVA, Henry Willians Silva da; BARP, Wilson José; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6546508090587542The thesis was based to analyze the actions and speech of the various mediating agents of non-various government departments involved with the defense of causes and social movements struggling for land in the States of Pará. The grounds underpinning the analysis of speech analysis belong to the French line. The survey is a qualitative-descriptive kind. The interview questionnaire served as an instrument for the production of data. The results indicated that there were various speeches and performances focused upon the dispute for land rights, claims, justice and challenge to social order. Consequently, the social movements’ struggles and conflicts against the state policy in the Amazon Region have increased. There has been positive activist discussions over the struggle as a strategy to agrarian sustain over the relevance conflict in Pará, used as an outcome to its opponents. It also establishes the possibility of carrying out public policies in remote areas neglected by the government as well as the criminalizing of conflicts.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Um dizer que fala de vida e morte: revelações e silêncios na comunicação sobre o diagnóstico do câncer(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008) SALGADO, Ana Cristina Soeiro; MAUÉS, Raymundo Heraldo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0915136632611666One of the problems faced by physicians in their practice with cancer patients refers to the dilemmas related to communication about the illness, especially because of the associations still present in the social imagination about death and suffering, which gives an important symbolic dimension to diagnosis. Interpreted as a social construct, the theme of cancer diagnosis is analyzed from the perspective of Brazilian physicians, at Ophir Loyola Hospital, a state public cancer hospital in Pará, north of Brazil, including a total of 20 informants, who agreed to take part in interviews focused on diagnosis communication, including disclosure of diagnosis and other information related to the diagnosis. Through a socio-anthropological approach, different variables are analyzed, including those related to the physician, the patient, the family and the illness, which enables comprehension and integration of the discourse in its social context, including some differences between public and private practice. Data suggest the physician-patient interaction is influenced by class condition, with its socio-historical and cultural determinant. This makes communicating diagnosis a complex phenomenon, aggravated by the limited access to health services, which contributes towards the great amount of patients who arrive at the hospital with no chances of cure. The results indicate that influence of the family on medical decision-making is determinant to the limits of information related to cancer diagnosis, including disclosure of diagnosis and prognosis. Hopelessness is frequently mentioned as a reason for non-disclosure, especially in advanced stages of cancer, with a progressive silence as the illness worsens.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) O embate entre o visível e o invisível: a construção social da violência no jornalismo e na política(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010) COSTA, Alda Cristina Silva da; BARP, Wilson José; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6546508090587542This research aims to examine the use made of violence as a social problem in journalistic and political contexts, from articles published in the Jornal Nacional, from Rede Globo and in political speeches of the candidates for president, Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB ) and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), on the electoral timetable, here called television campaign, on the elections of 2006. As the main methodological contributions have been used the analysis tools of hermeneutics and frameworks (frame analysis), with the intention of revealing this focus on the violence and make a theoretical reflection on this social problem in the "post-media", a term known in this research as to the process of exacerbation of the media and its insertion as an institution that builds the sense of reality to people's lives. Television news and the election campaign, tested in August, September and October 2006, were taken as important programs of references the social construction of reality. It appears that there is a superficiality and homogenization in the treatment of this social problem.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Falando de amor: discursos sobre o amor e práticas amorosas na contemporaneidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) GONÇALVES, Telma Amaral; MOTTA-MAUÉS, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861116876230464This study has as its focus the discourses about love and loving practices experienced by dyads that constitute two partnerships in specific universes – the heterossexual and homossexual, both belonging to the urban middle classes. He falls in the field of more recent studies on the gender approach focusing on the new settings that affective and sexual relationships have assumed nowadays. In this sense, my interest about that subject was to investigate the discourse of partnership affairs, the idea of love (this love) and his expression in daily life which enabled me to identify its different versions and translations, as well as the approximations, defferences and ambiguities in the discourse and practice of love.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) “A gente tem uma vida lá fora...”: relações entre gestão de recursos humanos e sociabilidade das pessoas empregadas nos supermercados da Região Metropolitana de Belém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2009-05-04) GONÇALVES, Ida Lenir Maria Pena; MANESCHY, Maria Cristina Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5129734199358770The management of human resources (HR) represents a theorical approach of business management focused on organization of work to its best advantages and, in particular, the involvement of employees in the aims of the company. The management practices focus not only on the work itself, but also in complex way in social interactions occurred in the workplace, as well in the personal life of workers, in accordance with the assumptions and practices of the prevailing style f management. This work demand to know the nature of the correlations between management of human resources and sociability of workers, videlicet, their ability to make and keep various social ties, form the point of view of workers. To reach these aims, was taken as empirical reference four networks supermarkets from the urban region of Belém, Pará. This sector is a great employer, and has been modernized significantly in the last two decades, implementing some procedures in managements of humans resources and remains under strong competition from national and international groups that found in other capitals of the country. The methodology includes systematic observations, document analysis, general interview guide approach and deep-standardized open-ended interview, respectively with three hundred and eighty and fourteen workers, this last ones selected among those in the larger sample. The interviews versed about social and demographic attributes, occupational and career patterns of professional and personal relationship. Covered, too, the perceptions about rules and attitudes into workplace, based on the standards of the service manuals of business. This includes thirty-four items on a scale of Lickert. These items were arranged in factors, two on the management—quality of work (QW) and introjections of organizational standards (OS)—and three on sociability—trust, maintenance and usefulness of relations (UR) at work. The interviewed answered to items, adjusting the degree of their perception of each. These data were submitted to exploratory statistical technique Correspondence Analyses (CA) in order to verify the correlation between the factors of scale and characteristics of respondents. About the correlations between management and sociability, excel in first the work scheme. Long days of work, variables scale. Long daily breaks and the policy of in-service qualification (on the job) absorb nearly the entire time the employee to maintain personal relations and hinder or even extend those trained in the work environment beyond this space. Also hinder invest in studies, another area of sociability, what surprises in a sample whose predominant age range did not exceed thirty years and whose occupation has little chance of career. In this framework of restrictions, the condition of gender and family were relevant, because women, in particular mothers, reported less leisure activities, in little groups and with minimal presence of workmates, compared to men. Furthermore, we found some cases of people which made affective relationships into the workplace, even the coexistence is restricted to the company. Another striking feature was the dependence on family support for the exercise of labor activity and to face the vicissitudes of the labor market. The importance of family ties was reinforced by the long time of residence in the same neighborhood and, in significant proportion, in the same home, in several cases the housing was close or in the same house of parents or parents-in-law, facilitating the mutual aid. Another aspect that stood out the management of human resources was the perceived vagueness in the criteria for professional growth and application of standards, contributing to the existence of conflicts veil. To establish social ties, the employees place a selective trust, expressed in a few people who are confident in the work. It is worth noting here also a small variation between men and women, because men trust more than women in their workmates. The Correspondence Analysis showed sensitive differences of perception on quality of work and introjections of rules among workers with the first record in the labor book and those with previous experience in a formal work. The first notice a more effective control (surveillance) of management and express less agreement with organizational rules, while the others (the second) do not realize the control as the same way and is seen as complying with these rules. These results were interpreted as arising from different previous trajectories, in formal or informal labors, or because it is the first job. Cannot be said that the restrictions on sociability are due exclusively to characteristics of management in this sector, in view the incidence of another factors, as the social-economic condition of the family or the time of employment, on average two years among the respondents, which may have contributed to these results.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os herdeiros de Ananse: movimento negro, ações afirmativas, cotas para negros na universidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008) DEUS, Zélia Amador de; CAMPELO, Marilu Marcia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8338592541775616Ananse, the metamorphosis in spider of Goddess Aranã, coming from fanthi-ashanti culture, of Benin Region, in East Africa, is shown, in this paper, as the symbol metaphor of the resistance actions carried out by the Africans and their descendents in the American continent, particularly in Brazil. This way, it presents an ethnographic report of the saga of Goddess Aranã’s heirs in their fight against racism. The structure of that narrative is alike to a Theater Auto in which the antagonist character is the Racism, and the protagonist is Ananse’s heirs. The composition of that narrative starts with the assumption that the several cultures brought by the protagonist had a crucial importance in encouraging the African and their heirs’ fight, face to the wit of an antagonist capable of wearing, in time and space, many persons (masks) to confuse and weaken the protagonist speeches. However, the protagonist is also very smart in weaving his webs. Upon elaborating that narrative, the webs created by that character are recovered in order to insert, in the official Brazilian agenda the recognition of the existence of racism and racial discrimination in the society, and the state affirmative action policies, mainly, the use of the quota system to Negroes at the University. The fight is a narrative with epic characteristics which favors the role of string/action Negro movement.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Identidades musicais no Curso de Licenciatura em Música da Universidade do Estado do Pará: uma composição em acordes dissonantes(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) BRAGA, Lívia Alexandra Negrão; COSTA, Antonio Maurício Dias da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2563255308649361This study aims at interpreting the different musical routes taken by the Music Course students of the Universidade do Estado do Para- UEPA. The ethnographic work allowed me to observe three profiles which stand out in the Course: the erudite musician, the gospel musician and the popular musician. From the categories cultural identity, musical identity, diversity and carrier, I sought to understand how these musical identities interact and compound the singularity of a Course whose purpose is to form musical educators. The study is presented in three parts: the first one deals with the dense description of the Music Course, the students, the professor/researcher and the role the disciplines Cultura Popular and Música e Sociedade - taught by me- played considering the elaboration of the problem. The second part begins with a theoretical approach related to the construction of socialization networks among musicians and it also describes the profile of each group, the erudite, the gospel and the popular, according to the way they present themselves in the researched context. The interaction between these three groups is the object of the third part. From the perspective of musical diversity – musical preference and identities and cultural diversity – I point out the identities.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Lamento e dor: uma análise sócio-antropológica do deslocamento compulsório provocado pela construção de barragens(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) SANTOS, Sônia Maria Simões Barbosa Magalhães; HÉBETTE, Jean; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2510506955292935; TEISSERENC, Pierre; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9957120409952563The central idea developed in this work is that the studies carried through on the compulsory displacement provoked by the construction of dams, although mentioning the social dimension of the social suffering, do not submit that dimension to analysis. And, therefore, go round or displace the subjective sense expressed in the sorrow and pain, which is constituent to this social process. Taking as principle that the analyzed facts are socially shared and constructed, therefore carrying senses more or less lasting or more or less perceptible anyhow, publicized - that, at times, interact under the form of conflict, it is my goal to perform an analysis of the way these senses conform to three distinct and linked social situations. On the first one, the public arena, I analyze the controversy about the main classification categories for the compulsory displacement process, its contexts and main agents, trying to evidence the rhetorical construction fundamentals, in a dispute to make prevail a determined politic and social evaluation of this process. In this analysis, I emphasize the content that stabilizes itself and the intervention of one agent -the World Bank- and its role in the conformation of an expertise on the subject. In the second social situation, the academic universe, I analyze the current state of studies on the compulsory displacement, locating the main theoretical axes, in order to highlight the relation between the disciplinary and interpretative fields, mostly the hegemony of disciplinary subjects, amongst which the analysis of the suffering is not included. On the other hand, I outline that, thanks to the rigor of these analyses (many of ethnographic background), it is possible to find reference to the social suffering lived by the groups submitted to the compulsory relocating process, allowing me to fundament the hypothesis resulting of my own investigation. In the third, I analyze the process of compulsory displacement, from a research carried in Tucuruí, Pará state, Brazil, presenting the senses of social suffering evocated by those who lived it, pointing out: a) the absence of parameters to evaluate the consequences of the process lived, not only because it is an unusual situation as because the undertaking itself unchains other local and regional transformations that are not given a priori; b) the incessant search of a way to replace a situation lost or desired, that can be seen in public forums (assemblies, meetings, encounters), considered here as "sorrow forums", because they are, concomitantly, a place of public claim and spaces of encounter with their own history and, consequently, spaces for reminding and stating losses; c) the irreversible character, that lines the construction of social suffering. Finally, I try to show the constraints, above all economical, that are verified in the passing from the suffering dimension to the public arena.
