Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Consumo e descarte de óleos vegetais comestíveis: proposta de sequência didática como estratégia de ensino das Ciências Ambientais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-27) PEREIRA, Milton Nazareno Monteiro; SILVA, Cléber Silva eThe changing eating patterns of societies have increased the consumption of fried foods, which is directly associated with the onset of various diseases. Vegetable oils resulting from these preparations are a potential environmental pollutant when discarded inappropriately. The purpose of this study is to research the consumption and disposal of edible vegetable oils by third-year high school students in Chemistry classes, by proposing the development and application of a Didactic Sequence (DS) using active methodologies, in order to promote teaching of Environmental Sciences and provide the target audience with the opportunity to change their behavior regarding consumption and disposal of these compounds. The applied methodology was a quantitative-qualitative approach, using action research to obtain data using observation techniques, questionnaires, conversation circles, semi-structured interviews and bibliographic/document analysis. This research was carried out at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará - IFPA/Campus Belém with 2 classes from Chemistry and Systems Development courses, totaling 46 students. After applying the DS, which obtained the highest content validation index, it was found that 54.2% of Chemistry students and 18.2% of Systems Development students researched had reduced their consumption of fried food and 66.7% and 45.5%, respectively, of these students began to dispose of waste oil properly. The education product was made available in the form of a Didactic Sequence Guidance Manual to aid the teaching-learning process in Environmental Sciences.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Contaminação invisível - uma proposta para divulgação e visibilidade e visibilidade aos microplásticos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-08-10) CARVALHO, Renan Almeida de; MARTINELLI FILHO, José Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2080628833884538Solutions that are microplastics derived from commercial microplastics, or even by industry, by some plastic fragments caused by higher tempering and plastic, chemical and biological reduction. As well as their material, microplastics also have distinct physical properties such as density, for example, which can primarily determine the dynamics of the position of these particles in the environment. From this, it is possible to find that we can find all microplastic particles of water in an ambient column. Therefore, microplastics can contaminate both the biota present in the water column and in the bottom of ecosystems. In order to contribute to the environmental sciences for teaching the water column for the microplastic work environment and for the project as the auxiliary product for water in water environments, water packs for the environment of low density polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with high relative density. In order to validate the application of the product as a didactic tool, the study was applied to two classes of the 7th year of elementary school. The class was an applied theoretical class and the second class was on the MP theme, and the second class was an applied class, the model and the subject. After analyzing the question answered by the classes, it was observed that when the model was presented in the class, there was a significant difference in the proportion of correct answers for six from the eight questions. This indicated a positive relationship between the use of models as a tool to aid in the teaching of Environmental Sciences.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Horto de plantas medicinais e sua aplicabilidade no ensino para graduação em farmácia e áreas afins(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-05-29) XAVIER JÚNIOR, Sebastião Ribeiro; FERREIRA, Cristiane de Paula; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7804816854015308Men seek in nature resources to improve their own living conditions, making us completely dependent on plants, which in turn are present in human life in the most different ways. However, the accelerated deforestation in the region, where there is a natural occurrence of several medicinal species, requires rapid action to rescue, conserve and study these vegetables. In this way, the installation of plant gardens associated with the use of a booklet, can contribute significantly to studies in several areas of knowledge. In this perspective, the present work aims to create a vegetable garden composed of medicinal plants and a booklet about them in the pharmacy course at UFPA, in order to subsidize research, teaching and extension for this and other undergraduate courses. The total of 42 species of plants were considered medicinal for the creation of the vegetable garden. The plants were collected and taken for identification at the IAN herbarium (Embrapa Amazônia Oriental), all materials were photographed and inserted in the vegetable garden. The data generated were used to produce the booklet of medicinal plants. For to assess the vegetable garden, a course on medicinal plants was prepared and organized with undergraduate students and technical level, in which two questionnaires (I and II) were applied, with the purpose of providing information on the knowledge related to the theme before and after the course. For the validation of the booklet, the product was sent to researchers and teachers for evaluation and suggestions. Thus, the medicinal plant garden was created with a total of 42 species, at UFPA, in an area of 40m x 20m. For the validation of this tool, 46 students who participated in the course were interviewed with the presence of six institutions: UFPA, UFRA, IFPA, UNAMA, COSMOPOLITA and ESAMAZ. The courses represented were: Pharmacy (38 students), Forest Engineering (3), Nursing (3) and the Technical Course in Environment (2), the research confirmed the students' interest in a space like the garden, demonstrating some knowledge about medicinal plants and emphasizing the importance of a space for their professional training. Regarding the booklet, 22 professionals (teachers and researchers) in the area, analyzed the material and confirmed that they could use this teaching material (100%) as a resource in conjunction with the vegetable garden in their classes, emphasizing the importance of using materials that escape conventional and talk to the students' reality. In general, all respondents understand the importance of products like these (vegetable garden and booklet) for the enhancement and increase in the teaching of botany, highlighting the importance of a space for the development of the medicinal plants theme and its use linked to didactic material.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Jogo digital adaptado ao tema água no ensino de ciências para alunos de uma escola pública da região metropolitana de Belém-Pa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-08-28) ERNESTO NETO, Fortunato; KATO , Olivia Misae; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3612219210222465; RIBEIRO, Karla Tereza Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2654817572738748Technological resources has been largely used as an important educational strategy to promote greater efficiency in the teaching of Environmental Sciences. The implementation of educational digital games has facilitated the teaching-learning process, helping to complement contents and generating greater stimulus and dynamics in school activities. Studies has documented that properly planned teaching results in improved apprehension of academic knowledge and skills. The aim of this study consisted of validating the adaptation of the game Loot Quest for Smartphone as a didactic resource in teaching of the water like theme, directed to promote the complementation of knowledge and as an incentive to engage in school activities for 6th grade students at a public school in Belém-PA. The Loot Quest game was adapted to teach diseases associated with water pollution and its sustainability (Unit II, Chapter 5) of curriculum discipline. The Chapter 5 was divided into two small steps, requiring complete mastery (100% correct answers) by the student in the writing evaluations in each step. This process was applied only in the first class, the condition to participate in digital games was to pass the evaluations in two-step. In the second class, the traditional teaching of Chapter 5 was adopted by the discipline's teacher, followed by the step evaluations without the requirement of passing the step evaluations to participate in the games, the students should only perform them. After these evaluations, the games were applied to teams in both classes, with the games installed on smartphones, and instructions were provided to players in the classroom, in which they were kept while the QR Codes were hidden in the outside area. In each game, teams should locate 10 QR Codes, identify corresponding images and phrases, then copy them on the answer sheet. The validation of digital games by students and expert judges was carried out by specific assessment questionnaires, after the games were applied. All teams in Class 1 achieved 100% correct answers in both steps and participated in the games, while the scores in the teams in Class 2 the grades ranged from 0.0 to 7.0 in both steps. In the validation, the two classes presented the highest percentages in the option "totally agree" in the 14 evaluation questions, with a high reduction in the other options “partially agree”, “nor agree”, “nor disagree”, “partially disagree” and “strongly disagree”. The judges' evaluation of the images, phrases and compatibility showed an agreement of 66 to 100% of the judges in the 30 items of each game, except for the compatibility of item 7 of Game 1 with 50%. The evaluation of technical products, 9 of the 12 criteria scored 15 to 18 points (84- 100%) by the judges, with 18 being the highest score. The results showed that properly planned teaching with digital games as a source of incentive, contributed to learning and assessment activities of different themes related to water, found in books on Environmental Science and Environmental Education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Jogos didáticos para o ensino de ciências ambientais na educação básica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-07) RODRIGUES, Zelinda Duarte; RIBEIRO, Karla Tereza Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2654817572738748Given the precarious state of the basic sanitation system regarding the quality of water for human consumption, this study aimed to contribute through the application of educational games, focusing on Environmental Sciences themes, to the teaching and learning process of 5th-grade students in the early grades of Elementary School, in public schools in the municipality of São Sebastião da Boa Vista – Pará (SSBV-PA). Among the various science subjects that can be worked on through experimentation, it is worth mentioning the acidity and basicity of substances, as it is a topic that is present in the student's daily life. Under such a scenario, the acid and base themes can be studied through natural indicators, these are natural extracts that have anthocyanins as a base, and they are pigments of the flavonoid class that can be used to determine the pH of various samples. In this sense, Arrabidaea chica popularly known as Pariri is one of several plants that contain anthocyanin. Thus, the present study aimed to identify the acid-base indicator properties of the plant extract of the A. chica species, considering its use as a natural indicator for testing the pH of drinking water and rainwater applied in science teaching. For this, the research was developed in 3 stages: preparation of the alcoholic extract of A. chica, application of the alcoholic extract of A. chica as a pH indicator with students of the 9th grade of elementary school at the Public school Maria Conceição Malheiro in Irituia-PA and the composition of the educational product. The final product of the research was a booklet that addressed the pH of drinking water and how to create a natural pH indicator from the alcoholic extract of A. chica. It is concluded that the A. chica extract can be used as a pH indicator, showing a very satisfactory acid-base color change when applied to the tested samples. It was also evident that there was a great involvement of students and teachers with the proposed experience and how the approximation of scientific knowledge with students' daily lives can favor the teaching-learning process. The final product of the research, when applied to the teachers, had a satisfactory response in the School that was the object of this study and could help other teachers from other places. About the Disposal of Batteries and Batteries: using the problematization methodology", which aimed to elaborate, apply and validate a didactic sequence, which aims to promote the teaching of Environmental Sciences, with a focus on the proper disposal of Batteries. Therefore, the use of drinking water is of fundamental importance for health and good quality of life. This work was based on proposing the construction and use of handcrafted filters, at low cost, as sociais technologies aimed at obtaining drinking water in the Nossa Senhora de Fátima community in the Jardim Tropical neighborhood in the municipality of Breves. To achieve the proposed objective, it was necessary to identify the characteristics of the community where the work was carried out. It was also necessary to show, through an interactive educational lecture, the importance of conserving water resources and which filters can be built (at low cost) and used to lead a healthier life. In addition, it was essential to produce a guide, in digital format, of handcrafted filters. Semi-structured interviews were carried out with the parish priest and the Community Leader in the Category of Managers (CG), in addition to multiple-choice questionnaires being applied to 18 community members in the Community Category (CC). With this study it was found that the community of Nossa Senhora de Fatima is configured with a low-income profile and does not have access to drinking water, one of the most basic human rights. Thus, by building and using low-cost handmade filters, they obtained, for a minimum amount and in a sustainable way, water suitable for human consumption, thus contributing to reduce the spread of waterborne diseases.
