Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Reaproveitamento de resíduos do processo siderúrgico do ferro gusa (escória de alto forno) na elaboração de argamassas não estruturais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-05-12) ANJOS, Janne Caroline Silva dos; SOUZA, José Antônio da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6157348947425968In the mining activity, the waste generated is the result of metallurgical processes to which mineral substances are subjected. Such industrial residues can be used as raw material for the manufacture of civil construction materials. Thus, in an attempt to make acidic slag produced by blast furnaces viable, scientific research increasingly seeks to minimize the environmental impact caused by the accumulation of these residues, through the development of appropriate applications for them. Therefore, it was adopted as the object of this study, the residue from the pig iron producing industry, the blast furnace slag. Establishing a form of another option of aggregates that enables the production of mortars with characteristics compatible with conventional ones, without the need for high consumption of natural aggregates. The chemical characterization of the used blast furnace slag residue was provided by a mining company belonging to the SINOBRAS group, located in the industrial district, Marabá - PA. The characterization of the residue was carried out using the technique of X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence (FRX), laser particle size analysis, among other indices that characterize it as a fine aggregate for mortar. For the production of mortars, traces of different percentages of materials and EAF residue in the proportions of 400g of (portland cement, sand and slag) were made. After the curing process, it was possible to analyze the specimens through physical tests: absorption by immersion, porosity and compressive strength test. The results showed that, in general, the mortars showed aix high increase in compressive strength in all specimens, especially for mixes 02 and 04, this increase was more accentuated, when compared to reference specimens, of this form, being analyzed and discussed by means of scanning electron microscopy.
