Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise de aproximações das concepções presentes em questões associadas ao ensino de química aplicadas no novo ENEM com as concepções do enfoque CTS(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06) SOUZA, Jorge Raimundo da Trindade; BRITO, Licurgo Peixoto deThe National High School Examination (Enem) comprehends the evaluation of skills and competences fundamental to the exercise of citizenship, one of the objectives of the Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach. This qualitative research, which also adopts quantitative standards, has the objective of analyzing STS concepts in the issues associated to the chemistry teaching of this exam, in the period between 2009 to 2015 (new Enem), and the factors that influence these relations. For this, it was necessary to analyze the content and the structure of the questions associated to the teaching of Chemistry, examining if and how occurred the approximation of these questions with the principles of the STS educational perspective, and what conditions determine the mediation of this relation of proximity. As an instrument for analyzing the questions, the Discursive Textual Analysis (ATD) was used. Among the 156 analyzed questions, which are pertinent to the teaching of Chemistry, 46.1% did not present an approximation with the principles of the STS approach; 32.1% showed an apparent relationship with these assumptions and 21.8% were associated with the principles of the STS approach. The results showed that the questions of the new Enem presented proximity, at different levels, to the theoretical principles of the STS approach.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) CTS no contexto do novo ENEM e do ensino de química(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-10-07) SOUZA, Jorge Raimundo da Trindade; BRITO, Licurgo Peixoto de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5100592138044970; https://orcid.org/ 0000-0001-8363-8971The National Secondary Education Examination (ENEM), established in 1998, has become, over the years, the main process of evaluation of Basic Education in Brazil, projecting itself as an important element of dissemination of new educational values. The concept of evaluation incorporates a proposed evaluation of the development of skills and core competencies to the full exercise of citizenship, one of the STS approach objectives, through interdisciplinary items involving secondary education subject knowledge, in which chemistry is inserted. In this context, this qualitative research aimed to analyze, based on the assumptions of the STS curriculum perspective, the relations between the skills and abilities (C & H) of Natural Sciences and their ENEM Technologies (CNT) with questions associated with Chemistry education of this examination in the period 2009-2015 (new ENEM) and the factors that influence these relationships. The exploratory reading of documents and scientific papers on the Enem and on STS, as well as my teaching experience, allow me to infer, a priori, the existence of some level of approximation between the STS focus on documents and Enem questions. This perception instigates me to research how and to what extent this occurs. Therefore, we investigate how occur the approximations between the theoretical assumptions of the STS approach with the CNT competencies and skills and the questions associated with the teaching of chemistry applied in the new Enem. For this, we must ensure that the competencies and abilities have associations with the theoretical assumptions of the STS perspective, in addition to analyzing the content and structure of the questions associated with the chemistry teaching, examining whether and how it occurred to approach these issues with the STS educational perspective principles and what conditions determine the mediation of this proximity relationship. To obtain the information it was used three data collection techniques: observation, verification of official documents of the Brazilian education and analysis of questions applied to the new ENEM. As question analysis tool it was used the Textual Analysis Discourse (TAD). Excerpts from interviews with teachers question makers from UFPA were utilized to support the discussions of the results obtained. The results showed that whereas C & H Natural Sciences and their Technologies have a strong association with the assumptions of the STS educational perspective, the new 11 ENEM questions present approximation at different levels from the theoretical framework of the STS approach. The results also showed that among the 156 analyzed questions, and which are associated with the teaching of Chemistry, those with the highest occurrence are those that do not provide this approximation. We conclude that the affinities between the natural sciences competencies and skills and their Enem Technologies with the issues associated with the teaching of chemistry for this examination, in relation to the STS approach, occur insufficiently for various reasons, and factors such as for example, the educational model in Brazil, the traditional formation of teachers question makers and the little understanding of this curriculum conception converge for this lack of concordance. Although it is evident the need for greater linkage of the questions with the STS approach, this research seeks to provide contributions to a more meaningful chemistry education and provides a detailed analysis of the Enem chemistry items, aiming to subsidize the construction of questions with knowledge that get closer to the STS educational perspective, which constitutes a strong current trend in the teaching of Chemistry and Natural Sciences.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O ensino de química através de um centro de ciências Amazônico: uma possibilidade de inserção à cultura científica(Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, 2020-08) TOLOSA, Francisco Everdosa; REIS, André Silva dos; SILVA, Maria Dulcimar de BritoThe research sought to reportand discuss, through a qualitative approach, of an exploratory character, activities developed during a “Thematic Day of Chemistry” at the Science Center and Planetarium of Pará (CCPP), with students of the 3rd year of High School of a School of the Public Education Network of Belém (PA). On the occasion, the students participated in experimental practices, with a view to verbalizing ideas and answering a questionnaire directed to the activities carried out, as well as making considerations about the “Thematic Day” proposal. The analysis of the results reveals that theactivitywas relevant for the students, since they felt comfortable in the exposition of ideas about some chemical concepts, which collaborates in the construction of new conceptions in relation to this Science. Furthermore, it was found that the CCPP, a non-formal teaching space, can contribute to the process of scientific literacy.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Gamificação e aprendizagem: uma proposta para professores de ciência/química dos anos finais do ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-11-05) VIRGOLINO, Mayara de Brito; BRABO, Jesus Cardoso; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8186834432543140; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6757-0540The speed with which information and different types of knowledge circulate in society, through the advance of Digital Information and Communication Technologies, has transformed people's habits and behaviors in their daily lives. Reflecting on the impact of these changes on the educational scenario, there is a need for innovation and the development of new practices that can involve students in the teaching-learning process. In this sense, considering gamification as a methodological strategy, to increase student motivation and engagement during learning, this research aimed to develop an educational product in the form of a teaching guide, with gamified activities, for teaching Atomic Models in the context of Primary Education. From this, we sought to answer the following guiding question: what impacts can the use of gamification bring to the learning process of Atomic Models in the final years of Primary School? Concerning methodology, a qualitative study was carried out, using the principles of participant observation, developed in three stages: I) Bibliographic mapping; II) Planning of the educational product; and III) Application and evaluation of the educational product. The product was applied in the second bimester of 2023, in a private school in the municipality of Ananindeua, in the state of Pará, where the research teacher works, and 48 students from two 9th-grade classes took part in the research. As this was an analysis of educational activity, participant observation was used as a data collection tool, along with speech recordings, questionnaires, and written productions. The results show that the use of gamification proved to be effective in learning the proposed content, as well as in participation in the gamified activities, highlighting aspects such as student engagement, collaboration, and motivation, through the presence of game elements such as levels and challenges, contributing to increased interaction with the teacher to fulfill the tasks undertaken in class. Finally, the educational product, entitled Gamification and learning: a teaching guide for teaching Atomic Models in Elementary School II, which is part of the dissertation, is available on the websites of the Postgraduate Program in Teaching in Science and Mathematics Education at the Federal University of Pará and the EduCapes Portal.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Introdução à química para o sistema modular de ensino (some) na região marajoara(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12-14) SOUZA, Vital Júnior de Oliveira; BRABO, Jesus de Nazaré Cardoso; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8186834432543140; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6757-0540It is a research about the possibility of using teaching strategies with an eminently constructivist approach to teach basic concepts of chemistry in high school classes of the Modular System of Teaching-MST in the riverside region of Marajó and, after analyzing the results of some didactic interventions that was propose from these ideas, we will present a didactic product with such didactic suggestions. Initially we discuss the influence of the constructivist approach in teaching and learning in the last decades, as well as the historic route of the chemistry teaching in Brazil since the time of the Brazilian colony. Next, we present a characterization of constructivist didactic strategies, such as Predict, Observe and Explain, from its origin, in the researches about alternative conceptions realized in the decade of 1980, until some didactic research related to these and other strategies fulfilled in Brazil. Two didactic interventions were develop to evaluate the relevance of teaching strategies it were proposal. In the first one were detected some technical problems that were tried to heal in the second didactic intervention realized. The results obtained in the second intervention were quite satisfactory, because the students developed the activities in a more enthusiastic way and they went beyond when the students were able to relat the concepts studied with the riverside context in which they are inserted.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A problematização do lixo eletrônico no ensino de química para o primeiro ano do ensino médio(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-03-17) ALMEIDA, Débora Quaresma; Fraiha-Martins, France; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4765567823575996; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7933-6014The present paper entitled "CHEMISTRY IN MIDDLE SCHOOL: learning based on the problem of electronic waste" aims to understand how a teaching proposal based on the methodology of Problem Based Learning (PBL), can contribute to the teaching of chemistry in the first year of high school. The theoretical reference was built, mainly based on Ribeiro (2005), and other authors who are also references in the methodological field of the ABP, such as: Savin-Baden (2000), Berbel (1998), Malheiro (2005), Barrows 1996), Bruner (1987), Malheiro and Diniz (2008), among others. The methodology used in the development of this research was the qualitative approach of Gerhardt and Silveira (2009) of the oral research type, based on Connelly and Cladinin (1995). The subjects of the research were 03 chemistry teachers from a state public school in the municipality of Abaetetuba-PA. For the construction of the data, the proposal of teaching chemistry was given to the teachers, that is, the educational product built on the basis of the PBL, and the teachers were able to make their appreciation and analysis of the material by answering some questions present in an open questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed from the philosophical conceptions of Discursive Textual Analysis of Moraes and Galiazzi (2011). The results showed that, according to the teachers interviewed, the Educational Product, built from this dissertation, can contribute significantly to teaching-learning chemistry in high school, thus developing public school education in the municipality of Abaetetuba -PA.
