Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Anti-homofobia no futebol paraense: engajamento social nas torcidas de Remo e Paysandu(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-25) SOUSA, Milene Costa de; AMARAL FILHO, Otacílio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2605877670235703This dissertation addresses the configuration of social engagement against homophobia by the fans of Remo and Paysandu and both clubs from Pará on the internet. As an empirical object, the positions of the barras bravas organised supporters' groups of football Camisa 33 and Banda Alma Celeste were selected; and the Remo and Paysandu clubs, published on their official Facebook pages. The sociation processes in the sense of visibility brought by the communication have enabled discussions about homophobia, which in 2019 was criminalized in Brazil by the Superior Federal Court. Such discussions reached the football arenas and the cultural spectacle of football, where homophobia is often performed by fans. The guiding question is: how is the anti-homophobic social engagement process being carried out amidst the cultural spectacle of Pará football? The main objective is to explain the social engagement against homophobia in Pará football, which in turn is marked by the rivalry between Remo and Paysandu and their respective fans, not just explaining, but went further by proposing a reflection on the universe of football and the practices of homophobia and against homophobia.. The methodology used is content analysis according to Laurence Bardin (1977), and qualitative and bibliographic research to obtain adequate theoretical references, such as Édison Gastaldo (2005), Itamar Gaudêncio (2003), Georg Simmel (1983), Roberto DaMatta (1982) , Manoel Tubino (2001), Frederico Coelho (2006) and Mauricio Murad (2012), for studies that made it possible to approach the proposed subject. The result of the research points out that the engagement against homophobia means a new context in football, which has the internet as a fundamental piece so that it is more relevant and developed in the midst of the Paraense and Brazilian soccer spectacle.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Aperetrecho, juventude e orquestra: ritualizações, interações e resistência no boi de máscaras faceiro(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-04) PALHA, Rondinell Aquino; FERNANDES, Daniel dos SantosDissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os "bons europeus" e a "nova síntese" no pensamento nietzschiano(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-04-26) FEITOSA, Wesley Leite; CHAVES, Ernani Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5741253213910825; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8988-1910This paper consists in a philological – hermeneutics analysis about the philosophical oustpread from Nietzsche’s concepts of “good european” as a fundamental question in his task of overcoming moral. The term “good- european” occurs in two specific parts in Nietzsche’s work. The first mention is in his intermediate texts (1876 – 1882), in which the author talks about culture, language and metaphysical issues. At this period the philosopher argues about subject formation and the cultural processes of coercion on the subject that condionate human thought and behavior. This approach evokes the necessity of a manner to elaborate a task in order to overcome the morality about the concept of free spirit. The concepts of “good european” and free spirit are associated as synonyms in his intermediate work phase, being the first term a manner to enphasize the necessity of overcoming and detaching the nations issue and talks about German nationalism in the 1900s. In his late work (1883-1889) the term “good european” is reintroduced in a new contexto through that the author develops his critics on moral and the overcoming an ethnocentric concept in modern european thought. Thus, Nietzsche stablishes hierarchic and overcome levels: 1. European; 2. Supraeuropean; 3. Asian; 4. Greek. Supraeuropean concept designates a perspective that the Europe itself must be exceed. In this perspective the being needs to be not only supranational but supraeuropean intending to overcome an european vision and the reach of a wider vision about the Western culture. Nietzsche tries to extinguish his western partiality and propounds an Asian perspective in Europe via the concept of Supraasiatic. The supraasiatic level represents a moral overcome in comparison to an european moral, relating this idea to the supraeuropean concept. This concept characterizes a radical objection to the Western and its values as a cultural consequence from Europe. Finally, the author highlightsa greek theoretical foundation as a model to the so called “Europeans from the future” in a denominated greek ideal. This ideal represents a higher view in comparison to the previous ideals and characterizes his cosmopolitan idea about europe culture, in terms of its cultural synthesis. From that perspective Nietzsche describes a non-stop process according to atavistic procedures and diferentiation processes in which a “new synthesis” of philological, linguistics and culture can be possible.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Brinquedo de miriti: tradição, gênero e currículo multicultural(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-06) LOBATO, Lídia Sarges; RIBEIRO, Joyce Otânia SeixasThis article is based on research carried out in a miriti toy production studio and was developed for 10 months, which constituted the graduation work. The research objective was to observe how the gender relations were materialized at the production and in the miriti toy itself and what cultural knowledge was transmitted at the process of making toys. I quote Williams (1992), Hobsbawm (1984), Clifford (2008), Scott (1995), Louro (1997, 2000), Silva (2000, 2004), Connell (1995), Moreira (2002), Candau (2003), Ribeiro (2010) e Gomes (2013). And as result, I inform that the miriti toy tradition is bicentennial, anchored in the belief of rough work and light work, on which it is sorted by gender the toy production. This gender culture is governed by normativity and by the spatialization that determine the proper places that the masculine and feminine bodies must occupy; in view of the hierarchy and inequality existing in the studio, there is a need to deconstruct this norm through the multicultural curriculum.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Condições culturais de inserção da história natural na instrução pública do Pará (1851-1891)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-16) LIMA, Marcelino Carmo de; ALVES, José Jerônimo de Alencar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9586790409626243This thesis intends to contribute for historiography about the process of institutionalization of science in schools and your main objective is to analyze the process of insertion of the Natural History in public education in Pará, the characteristics it assumed and the cultural conditions that made possible. The thesis covers a period between 1851 and the initial period of the first Republic, 1891. This initial period of analysis is justified by the fact of the Botany was included in the curriculum of Liceu Paraense, with the creation of the subject Elements of Physics, Chemistry and general principles of Botany, in 1851. The subject Natural History would only be introduced in 1873, when it became part of the curriculum of the Curso Normal, attached to the Liceu Paraense, integrating the subject General Notions of Physics, Chemistry, Natural History and Agriculture, being withdrawn shortly afterwards, 1874. After the advent of the Republic, in 1889, disciplines from the field of Natural History were introduced into the curriculum of Liceu Paraense and Escola Normal, with other disciplines such as Biology, Hygiene and School Hygiene appearing in both schools. The three moments that stand out above constitute the chapters of this thesis, which is based on theorizations of the fields of study of curriculum history, history of school subjects and Cultural Studies. In order to analyze the characteristics, representations and meanings attributed to Natural History in each of these contexts, we rescued the teaching plans and other documents that indicate the specificities that this science assumed in the Pará school curriculum. With regard to the conditions that made it possible, we will investigate, above all, the speeches of the time, printed, above all, in newspapers and government reports of the time. We found, firstly, the presence of activities linked to the field of Natural History, such as those of naturalists and research in Botany at context of the local culture, were important factors for the insertion, at first, of Botany among the Sciences, which constituted the first scientific subject in the curriculum of public education in Pará. Posteriorly, we saw that although there were people with thoughts focused on the insertion of such knowledge in education, proposing its insertion, they did not remain for cultural reasons alleged in the speeches conveyed in the newspapers of the time as being of disinterest. In the last period, that of the Republic, there are indications that this knowledge may have been introduced and consolidated in the culture and in local school system, bearing in mind that there were reforms in order to adapt to a new regime in which science became more valued.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cultivando autonomia: análise da socioeconomia e agrobiodiversidade no quilombo de Providência, Salvaterra, Ilha do Marajó/PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06-15) LEÃO, Victor Miranda; STEWARD, Angela May; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6123114287861055Traditional Quilombola communities have strategies for maintaining their way of life and reinforcing their cultural identity through traditional productive practices. This study sought to investigate the role of agrobiodiversity in economic and food strategies, recording the traditional knowledge and practices associated with it, as well as its relationship with food sovereignty in the Quilombola community of Providência, Salvaterra, Marajó, Pará state, Brazil. Methodologically, the research took place over sixty days in the months of February, May, July and November of 2019, being authorized by local leaders and the other residents through the signing of the Informed Consent Form. Later interviews were conducted with household representatives, with selection occurring through non-probabilistic sampling. Non-directive interviews were carried out and semi-structured questionnaires were applied with questions on socioeconomic, productive and food aspects, along with participant observation. Data were organized into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for graphical optimization and, subsequently, diversity and diversity indexes were calculated, along with cultural salience and the community's food profile. Research with 11 heads of household showed that the local productive practices are strongly linked to local religious and food customs and that traditional activities, such as farming, extraction, fishing and animal husbandry, contribute to family income, which is mainly comes from state social benefits. Thus, we can conclude that traditional productive practices are directly related to the local Quilombola culture developed in part through agrobiodiversity, also expressed in faith, religiosity, historical heritage, as well as in daily life and in group's food preferences.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cultura, oralidade e língua Mẽbêngôkre sob o prisma de seus mitos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-16) FERREIRA, Dilma Costa; CAMARGO, Nayara da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4768996737873916The present research sought to evidence in the myths Mẽbêngôkre, the intertwining between culture, language and orality, evoking themes such as memory, oral literature and history, through bibliographic research and approximation of the field carried out in some Mẽbêngôkre villages in southern Pará, specifically in the municipality of São Félix do Xingu. It was observed that the myths show, among others, historical and cultural aspects, when presenting the ways of life of the ancestors and their deeds, which provided the cultural formation of the Mẽbêngôkre, reflected today. The objective of this research was, through bibliographic survey, and participant observation, with data collection in the field, to dialogue with the existing data on Mẽbêngôkre myths, in order to understand the place of myth for these people. For the purposes that the present work proposes, four versions of a Mẽbêngôkre myth were compared, in order to provide a better understanding of the intertwining between myth, history and “culture”. The interlocutors of this study were eight people Mẽbêngôkre, among them, a woman. Being the versions of the myths presented here, narrated by three of these interlocutors. Research becomes relevant because it provides knowledge about the place of myths among the Mẽbêngôkre, reflecting on topics that permeate them, such as cultural formation, the importance of orality and memory and, as myth and history, they touch among amerindians. The present research sought to reflect the amerindian ways of life, based on the Mẽbêngôkre, in order to encourage the subversive character in the face of indigenous realities, in order to contribute significantly to them. The field incursion occurred through the research, initially of participant observation. The daily life of the indigenous peoples in their relations, between themselves and with the environment, were observed. The second moment consisted of field consolidation and data collection. The work is structured in four chapters and the theoretical basis was contributed by authors Louis-Jean Calvet (2002; 2011), Jack Goody (2012), Claude Lévi-Strauss (1991; 2018), Marshall Sahlins (1997), Viveiros de Castro (2017; 2018), Aryon Rodrigues (2000; 2001 and 2013) and others.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Da natureza à mesa: a pesca artesanal na vida e alimentação dos quilombolas da Comunidade de Mangueiras (Ilha do Marajó – Pará)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-21) NASCIMENTO, Anael Souza; BARROS, Flávio Bezerra; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4706140805254262This research was committed to study the ways of capturing and preparing fisheries resources, as well as the relationship of the quilombola community of Mangueiras in Salvaterra - Ilha do Marajó - PA with food. I started from the cultural dimensions in the context of traditional knowledge, the ways to obtain, prepare, pack and consume food of fishery origin in the quilombo. The field research took place in 2019 and the main instruments of the methodology employed were open interviews, semi-structured interviews, participant observation, tours guided by local fishermen, free listing technique and ethnophotography. The results achieved demonstrated that fishermen and fisherwomen maintain a constant dialogue of knowledge, acquired through daily contact with fish and the river from the early stages of life. Traditional knowledge reveals much of the quilombo's identity and culture, a territory dominated by social actors with expertise in fish species, differentiating them by their habitat, food preferences and specific behaviors, including knowledge about climatic and lunar aspects that influence the dynamics of fishing in the region. Fishing resources have proved to be important for the preparation of foods such as fried, roasted and boiled fish, snail mujica, snail pie, coconut milk crab, turkey stew. However, we also observed an increase in processed foods, caused by a greater relationship with the city and access to social programs of the Brazilian federal government. Even with all the changes that have taken place, it is undeniable that the way food is prepared is still maintained today as a way of valuing culture and resistance. Thus, food choices are directly influenced by environmental characteristics, in addition to individual preferences linked to quilombo social and cultural issues. Taboos play an important role and directly influence the choices of target species.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Discurso e identidade regional: práticas de letramento sobre os rios, a chuva e os ritmos do Pará no 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-09-23) SANTIAGO, Maria do Carmo da Silva; CUNHA, Marcos André Dantas da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0195316299643772This dissertation, developed in the area of Language and Literacy, has the purpose to study the discourses of subjects students from the ninth grade of the elementary school in a public state institution of Belém do Pára. Several societies flourished and developed in this space, and came in contact with others from other parts of the world, and in this place they came to create another variety of thoughts that are concretized in narratives that continue today. In Literature, it has become a setting for the most diverse manifestations of literary art, and in History it constitutes a framework rich in the phenomena of humanity. Role-playing games, RPGs, are part of a genre that emerged in the late sixties in the USA, which presents in its vast material reflections of different historical and literary moments. His contributions are noticeable in several printed materials aimed at practitioners of this narrative activity and other medias. The present thesis aims to trace the dialogues that the RPG printed texts have with some oral narratives collected by the IFNOPAP Project, which aims to expose the resistant imagery in the local identity about what they understand as mythological reality. The focus of the work is on the texts that report fantastic creatures present in the testimonies of several subjects that were questioned by the researchers. The reports are placed in comparison with the texts coming from books of narrative games, something that aims to present how traditional popular narratives still resist time and are absorbed by a genre proper to modernity. For a complete perception, an outline of the course of studies of oral narratives in Brazil and other parts of the world, relevant to the objectives of the thesis, will be drawn. In addition to presenting the context of how role-playing games emerged, it will also be presented how the narratives present in the works can be perceived as appropriate literary texts for interpretation and analysis proper to Literary Theory. From these premises, it will be confirmed that fictional entities will be at the side of the construction of the identity of these peoples, based on the material of the authors who contributed to the IFNOPAP Project. Finally, in annex, the thesis will present a proposal that presents examples of how traditional oral narratives can be adapted for use as RPG scenarios, which will have their own characteristics to be used as a form of resistance and Amazonian expression.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Festival Rio Ouricuri: música, arte e sustentabilidade no interior da Amazônia paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-07-14) SANTIAGO, Édipo de Queiroz; CASTRO, Marina Ramos Neves de; : http://lattes.cnpq.br/6636359546031674This piece of work has as its object of research to understand possible constructions of society and identity present in the city of Capanema, state of Pará, using the agenda of the 3rd virtual edition of the Rio Ouricuri Festival. The research seeks to understand the communicative phenomena present in the 3rd edition of the Rio Ouricuri Festival. In order to execute the research, structured interviews were carried out with several subjects involved in the production process, musical presentation and media presentation of the Festival. We seek to briefly recover, from bibliographic records, the contextualization of the cultural formation to present at the Festival in its third edition. Such interviews were carried out in February 2022. This dissertation is motivated by the hypothesis of the existence of an Amazon that exists in Capanema, a peripheral city that is different from the image traditionally conveyed in the wider media, especially TV, radio, print media and news portals. In that way, the existence of an Amazon beyond the reductionist images, urban/forest/riverside, promoted by the media. In our understanding, this dichotomy makes the subjects of urban peripheral Amazon invisible, such as medium-sized cities like Capanema. The research is related to the idea of being-together enunciated by Maffesoli (2006), sociation processes by Simmel (1983), and uses a methodology that has bibliographic research, qualitative research with a semi-open interview instrument gathered from the collection of oral records and content analysis of those speeches.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Formação de professores de dança: um estudo da etnocenologia a partir das narrativas dos egressos da Licenciatura em Dança do PARFOR/ETDUFPA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12-19) PEREIRA, Ricardo Augusto Gomes; PAIXÃO, Carlos JorgeThis thesis studies the training of the teacher of Dance, which constitutes the object of analysis from the categories "popular culture" and "Ethnoscenology", in the context of the Basic Education Teacher Training Program (Programa de Formação de Professores da Educação Básica – PARFOR), conducted by the School of Theater and Dance of the Federal University of Pará (Escola de Teatro e Dança da Universidad Federal do Pará – ETDUFPA), in the course of Graduation in Dance, between 2011 and 2018. Problematizes the said themes in the conduction of the course, whose graduates are the subjects of the research. It aims to analyze the evidences of popular culture and Ethnoscenology in the narratives of the graduates of the course of Graduation in Dance. To achieve this, it attaches itself to ethnomethodology and narrative analysis, which was made possible through conversations to identify what goes through the lines and the meanings that the subjects attribute to the teacher training, popular culture and Ethnoscenology. The results show that the training of the Dance teacher in PARFOR has improved 81 teachers in five municipalities (Castanhal, Capanema, Santarém, Marabá, Mãe do Rio), and that the reflexes of this training began to take effect, since, despite not having the objective conditions for the teaching of Arts in the language of Dance, the process experienced during the course influenced the work of the teachers, which has in Ethnoscenology an important entity, since it is associated with popular culture in school activities through work with the body and with the movement in the artistic and pedagogical perspective. Through the narratives of the former students of the Graduation in Dance, concludes that the formation of the dance teacher has evidenced Ethnoscenology and popular culture through the work of the graduates in the schools; however, this is not theoretically reflected in the speech of these subjects. Regarding the use of the narratives, it considers that they were revealing in terms of the pedagogical work that these professionals have been carrying out in the schools in the interior of Pará.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) A identidade encenada. In the late 1980s, we witnessed the emergence of the São Sebastião neighborhood in the Abaetetuba municipality due to the concentration of migrant families. In the early years, the neighborhood lacked basic infrastructure and the presence of the state, which contributed to it becoming one of the most violent areas in the municipality, primarily due to the involvement of adolescents and young people in gangs. The insecurity and fear experienced by residents due to the clashes between these groups, along with the segregation and stigmatization of the area, led to the establishment of the first Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) in the municipality. This research aims to understand how the industrialization process carried out by the Albras/Alunorte Project socially influenced the São Sebastião neighborhood, particularly in terms of identity and culture. The methodological approach is qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory, based on the application of semi-structured interviews with members of families who were victims of the gangs, members of families who were part of the gangs, and employees and former employees of the state involved in the establishment and implementation of the CRAS, as well as one of the founders of the São Sebastião neighborhood. The research is guided bibliographically by the works of Bauman (2005), Bourdieu (2002), Costa (2022), Cruz (2011), Harvey (1989), Hall (2006), Koga (2011), Lefebvre (2011), and Machado (2020). Thus, the research demonstrates how the Albras/Alunorte Industrial Complex directly influences the socio-territorial-cultural composition of the population in the formation of the São Sebastião neighborhood. Regarding demographic growth, the São Sebastião neighborhood quickly became interconnected with the urban fabric. However, this demographic expansion occurred unevenly, resulting in one of the most pronounced manifestations of social issues: urban violence. With the arrival of the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) and later the Unified Arts and Sports Centers (CEUs), the contributions of these spaces through the services they provide to the community fostered not only a sense of belonging among residents but also a rediscovery of themselves as human beings and holders of their rights. Gradually, these institutions began to yield positive results, and the adolescents and young people who once gathered to "fight" among themselves started to come together for rehearsals and educational meetings, transforming a territory of violence into a territory of peace.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Interação entre estilos de liderança e dimensões da cultura organizacional: avaliação do impacto no desempenho na indústria de transformação(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-10-22) SILVA, Luciana Lobato; LUCENA, Bruno Rafael Dias de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0451524747464562The research that resulted in this dissertation sought to empirically investigate the interaction between leadership and culture, as well as the effect of this interaction on the performance of manufacturing companies in the Amazon region. A multi-method methodological approach was used, starting with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on the aforementioned themes and object of investigation. Based on this review, the dimensions of culture and consolidated leadership styles were shown, and how they interact to contribute to companies in terms of improving organizational performance, be it operational, financial or environmental. An article was formatted with the results of the SLR, which was accepted at the XV Colloquium on Organizations, Development, Sustainability & II International Conference on Creative Economy and Public Policies. After the SLR, an empirical survey was conducted with 80 manufacturing companies located in the state of Pará, Amazon region of Brazil. In the discussions of the statistical analyses, Contingency Theory was applied to explore how contextual variables and scarce resources influence performance. The results reveal that the effect on organizational performance measures in view of the interaction between leadership styles and organizational culture adopted by companies in the Amazon Region is not homogeneous. These survey results are organized in detail in an article format.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) O multiculturalismo na educação(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-06) SANTOS, Bruno FreitasThis work presents an discussion about the universe of educational multiculturalism. The objective of this article is to bring reflections on the relevance of multiculturalism in education, in which it must be framed within the curricular matrix, making teaching practice increasingly broad and plural. The problem raised was guided by the following question: what is the perception of the children of the marujada from Tracuateua / PA on the knowledge / practices of this festival? For this, it was necessary to discuss the categories culture, education, knowledge and childhood about new perspectives from the perspective of culture represented as a “web of meanings” constructed in the social relations of men; education as a “fraction of that culture” that can be developed in different places with different social groups; knowledge as a learning transmitted between generations in a heterogeneous way of doing; childhood was analyzed in the light of “childhood sociology”, understanding the child as the protagonist of their experiences. This study had as interpreters 16 (sixteen) children, 10 (ten) girls and 6 (six) boys, aged between 6 (six) and 12 (twelve) years of age, participating in the party. The methodological path was characterized by a qualitative approach with research techniques such as conversation circles, observation, field diaries, photographic records and the dynamics with drawings. Thus, based on the diversity of knowledge constructed in the daily life of the marujada, knowledge and actions inherent to the party were identified, experienced and shared by / by the movement between sailors and sailors of different generations through listening, observation and orality.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Notas sobre o currículo como prática de tradução cultural(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-06) RIBEIRO, Joyce Otânia SeixasThe article is part of a doctoral thesis, and intends to discuss the cultural translation as a theoretical tool.
