It got together a study of the literature review, and two experimental studies that tried to verify the effect of Multiples Examples Instructions (MEI) procedures, which started with different methods, and also with a list of deaf children naming and cochlear implanted children. The naming concept and the method used on the last 20 years were reviewed. The study 1, experimental, investigated on three children that are cochlear implanted, the effect of the Multiples Examples Instructions procedures on the repertory integration of hear and speak. The study 2, experimental, evaluate in a child that was late cochlear implanted the effect of teach only of the listening repertory about naming, and the MEI about naming repertory. The literature review showed that the naming concept uses like described by Horne and Lowe (1996) has increased on the Behavior Analysis literature. And three procedures have been used during 20 years: hand sorting, MEI and Pairing naming. The study 2 results indicated that the MEI procedure was essential to the hearer and speaker repertory integration, which reduced the performance differences between speak and listen people. And the study 3 results showed that were necessary extra exposes to MEI to naming emergency. It discuss the possibility of new procedures at speak and hear abilities of cochlear implanted children.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Manual para produção de aplicativo bilíngue para docentes que atuam com discentes surdos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-05-04) CARDOSO, Jessica Rocha de Souza; MONTEIRO, Dionne Cavalcante; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4423219093583221This study starts after the recognition of a need presented by deaf people when entering higher education, as they face up difficulty in understanding specific terms of an area. Based on a bibliographic data, experiences as a student at the Pará University State (UEPA) and an exploratory research conducted in this study, allowed to observe the education of deaf people from their visual experiences and their linguistic, which justifies the character of this research, we seek to contribute directly to the education of the deaf in higher education, creating strategies to support teachers in order to adapt complex content and streamline the content to visual forms that take into account the specificities of deaf people. It is proposed a manual with instructions for producing a bilingual application, which presents specific terms of a certain area of knowledge. To prepare this manual, an application will be created for Linguistic Processes, a fundamental discipline of the Language Degree Libras (Brazilian Sign Language), offered by UEPA. The application presents: specific terms and their concepts, as well as a brief example, texts and PDF files and contact with the teacher. The general objective of this work is to conceive and develop a manual for the production of a bilingual application (Portuguese-Libras) for teachers who work with deaf students, from the Language Degree Libras, seeking to enhance the learning of the specific terms of the Processes discipline Linguistic. The specific objectives that will guide the stages of this work are: To carry out bibliographic research about a bilingual application (Portuguese-Libras); Identify terms that students have learning difficulties in the discipline Linguistic Processes; Translate the terms, concepts and examples of the Portuguese language into Libras; Produce videos in Libras for the application; Develop a bilingual application in the Linguistic Processes discipline; Design and evaluate the manual; Disseminate the results obtained through publication and presentation at events. The study carried out by research with a quantitative qualitative approach, in data collection was carried out through a questionnaire followed by a semi-structured interview, allowing participation, bidirectional interactions. After researching related works, an analysis was carried out on three applications used in the educational and social environment, as an aid in communication between deaf and hearing people. However, it was noted the lack of applications that presents an example of term-sign, allowing replication of applications and texts in Portuguese related to the term-signs. Thus, an application was produced in the discipline Linguistic Processes and, from this application, a manual was created that allows teachers from any area of knowledge to create an application for the discipline taught. This manual was tested and evaluated by nine participants, studying the last year of the Language Degree Libras, six deaf and three hearing. After evaluation and analysis of tests, a satisfactory result is recorded for use and dissemination of the manual.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O modelo referencial da linguagem na tradução-interpretação da linguagem matemática pelos surdos usuários da Libras(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-03-28) COSTA, Walber Christiano Lima da; SILVEIRA, Marisa Rosâni Abreu da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3588315106445865; http://orcid.org/0000-0002-3147-9478This thesis presents a study about the use of Referential Model of Language in the translation-interpretation of mathematical language by the deaf users of Libras. This study aims to: inves- tigate the influences of the use of the Referential Model of Language by deaf students in the learning of mathematics; analyze the translation processes of deaf students in mathematics classes; investigate the language games in the use of several languages in the context of the learning by deaf students. To this end, we rely on some concepts of Wittgenstein's philoso- phy, as well as on mathematical educators who join hisideas to think teaching and on authors discussing inclusive education. We support the hypothesis that, when translating mathemati- cal concepts into Libras, deaf students make use of the Referential Model of Language, which reach for the word-for-word translation or signal word. And our thesis is: the referential use of language prejudices learning in mathematics by deaf students, since it’s been noticed that deaf students make translations that do not express the meanings of the mathematical text. We conducted a field research in two cities in the State of Pará, with a total of 13 deaf students, four at one school and nine at a second one. For data collection and analysis, we have created a class with deaf students in each school. We chose to build up such classes because of our focus on deaf students and their translations. Considering the qualitative approach, we realize that deaf students use the literal translation that stems from the Referential Model of Lan- guage, in other words, a word-sign translation, making them unable to understand mathemati- cal concepts. By employing it this way, deaf students use a language game that is not what the teacher proposes in the classroom. And this corroborates to a scenario of exclusion, which would goagainst the ideas of inclusion,fair education and quality to all. We assume that lin- guistic differences often cause disturbance, since there are still scenarios without the presence of fluent teachers in Libras and no professional translator-interpreters and, along with the use of referentiality, end up bringing even more difficulties to the deaf. We have noticed in the field research that even deaf students in more advanced grades experience difficulties in the translation-interpretation of mathematical texts, what evidences the harm that this Model brings to the learning, in mathematics, by deaf students.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Reflexões sobre pessoas surdas: problematizando a diferença(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-12) PEIXOTO, Elenilce Reis Farias; ARAÚJO, Marília do Socorro Oliveira; SOUSA, Rosângela do Socorro Nogueira deFaced with the context of inclusion in universities, deaf people bring with them a different language from which it is widely shared in the academy by a group that is mainly listening. Thinking about this linguistic issue also implies ways of looking at the other. Thus, this work has as main objective to reflect on the sign language as a cultural artifact that marks the difference of deaf people as socioanthropological subjects. For this work, the methodological basis is anchored in an exploratory research, based on the literature review. The main theoretical subsidies are Silva (2000), Bhabha (1991), Woodward (2000), Skliar (2003; 2013), Lacerda (2000; 2014), among others. The results show that it is essential to conceive the deaf from their linguistic difference, their identities are constructed and marked through difference. Libras, the deaf and their visual experiences, determine the set of differences in relation to any other group of subjects.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Tutorial do software tuxmath: uma multimídia em libras(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-16) CASTRO, Fábio Júnior da Silva; SALES, Elielson Ribeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5467537517169068; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6242-582XThis present research of qualitative approach originated since experiences lived in the teaching process and observation in relation to lack of accessibility computing resources to the deaf person. We aimed to produce a tutorial in sign language as a multimedia format using TuxMath software, as a didactic and pedagogical tool for teachers and deaf students involved in the teaching and learning process of the four fundamental operations of mathematics. We adopted as theoretical reference authors such as Felipe (2013), Goldfeld (2002), Lacerda (2006), Quadros (2007), Stumpf (2010) Strobel (2007), Almeida (2006), Arroio (2013), Moura Perlin (2008), Skliar (2013), Frizzarini (2014), Borba (1999) and Tikhomirov (1972). Data were taken in the Laboratory of Multimedia Education and Production of Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA) through footage of interviews with a deaf mathematics professor, collaborator of this research, who explained the functions of TuxMath software in Brazilian Sign Language, the collected data were edited for the multimedia production of the educational product that composes this dissertation. After the filming and editing of acquired data, a discussion was conducted emphasizing the product, from the software used, the construction process to the final elaboration and validation of the final product, which is presented in the perspective of a proposal of bilingual education, Sign and Portuguese languages, having as relevance the understanding of a deaf person in relation to the software, along with our interferences. We conclude that both the dialogues with authors that grounded the research and the construction of the product and its validation, denote the importance of accessible digital resources to deaf people who live in a listening world, but that their means of communication occurs mainly by the visual space channel. Thus, we understand that there is a lack of methodological resources such as the one we developed in deafness, mathematics and computer areas, that provides to the deaf person a better understanding of different areas of knowledge.
