Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) A feira e o campo: impactos da experiência da UFPA em lógicas familiares de produção(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-12-16) GUALDEZ, Jean Michel da Silva; SILVA, Luis Mauro Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7285459738695923This dissertation had as general objective to analyze the process of consolidation of the Feira da Agricultura Familiar of UFPA-Belém and impacts on the logics of production of the families that participate in it. In addition to this focus, reflections are presented on the process of building new markets adapted to the reality of family farming, inserted in the dynamics of the Short Circuits of Commercialization (CCC). The research focuses on a qualitative approach, with procedures focused on case studies. Data collection took place through interviews, with the help of scripts, carried out with ten families in the fair environment and in family establishments in different territories of the state. In general, the results show that the fair was instituted based on the demand of family farmers who do not participate in public calls for institutional purchases and the process of inclusion in the project occurs in a disorderly way. The families come from fourteen municipalities in the Northeast of Pará and the metropolitan region of Belém, and are mostly represented by women who play an important role in the fair. Inserted in different social organizations, families create bonds, establish partnerships with the university and capture benefits for the development of activities in the field. The UFPA fair is interpreted by some families as a commercial opportunity, creation of institutional links, exchange of knowledge and knowledge between participants, as well as an environment to give visibility to food and agroecological products. From the characterization of agroecosystems, it was found that the UFPA fair has had an impact on family production logics in different ways, em alguns casos ocorre o processo de ampliação e diversificação dos arranjos produtivos impulsionados pela intensificação das vendas e a demanda por novos produtos, em outros a feira causou um efeito de baixo impacto na lógica socioprodutiva das famílias.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Práticas agroecológicas em assentamentos rurais no sul do Amazonas: uma abordagem institucional(2014-06) COSTA, Francimara Souza da; RAVENA, NírviaThis article presents a discussion on the forms of access and use of natural resources `sustainable' rural settlements in the Amazon, relating them to the principies of agrarian reform policy. The study was conducted by means of comparative analysis from the Institutional Analysis and Development (IAD) Framework method. The results indicate that the difficulties presented around the social organization and weakened institutional relations culminate in the vulnerability of the permanence of agroecological practices in the settlements. However, in the midst of this instability, the residents work from choices that provide them the continuity of technological innovations agroecological base, created by the needs of families and their empirical experimentation.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Reforma agrária popular e agroecológica do MST: experiências de assentados do PA abril vermelho, Santa Bárbara-Pa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-07-31) VILHENA, Luiz Felipe Nazaré; DARNET, Laura Angélica Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3450720474559096Since its formation, the Brazil's Landless Workers Movement (MST in Portuguese) fights for land reform. On national scenario, it is the main campesine organization against “latifundios” (large landed estates), rural workers exploitation, poverty and income concentration in rural areas. It materializes its existence through the method of occupying land for reform. This consolidates how they organize and form the encampments spatialization and territorialization, doing process of "campesinação" (making common urban people into farmers) and "recampesinação" (making urban people who came from rural areas back to being farmers). This works intends to analyze and reflect MST's agro-ecological production strategies for areas previously under monoculture production. The research field was Abril Vermelho settlement in Santa Bárbara-PA. Therefore, we characterized how MST thinks and organizes its proposal for an agro-ecological production and identified along with Abril Vermelho settlers, their production strategies, trying to analyze the MST influence within it. The interdisciplinary methodological approach consisted in theoretical framework from agrarian and social sciences, funded in campesine, social movements and agroecology concepts. The research techniques were indirect documentation and field research with participative observation. The research procedures consisted in historical analysis, production practices characterization, semi-structured interviews, transverse walks and photographical registers on land plots. The research results shows that in Abril Vermelho settlement, the MST agro-ecological proposal has contributed on consolidating organic and sustainable production systems. Thus, in this analysis scale, the agro-ecological basis for MST's Agrarian Reform is indispensable to the construction of an efficient counter-hegemonic production system that values traditional knowledge and autonomy of small farmers.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uso do território, experiências inovadoras e sustentabilidade: um estudo em unidades de produção familiares de agricultores/as na área de abrangência do Programa PROAMBIENTE, Nordeste Paraense(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-04-12) OLIVEIRA, José Sebastião Romano de; KATO, Osvaldo Ryohei; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4241891652832872This study it evaluated the sustainability of the innovative experiences using indicator and criteria based on scientific theory the perception of peasants in the Irituia, São Domingos do Capim, Concordia do Pará and Mãe do Rio counties in an area encompassing the Polo Rio Capim, the PROAMBIENTE program. The objective was understand the daily of those social actors on the land using less stressful technologies on the environment and the reasons that led them to extend the traditional home garden or yards for other parcels of the Units of Familiar Production (FPU), turning them into Agroforest Systems (AFs). Questionnaire was applied and empirical data were collected, as well as interaction took place with the people involved in 78 FPUs allowing of variability indntification for Factor Analysis, establishing four factors of production and commercialization; production practices; intervention and gender questions. The first factors was used as criterium and requiring the return of the surveyor to 18 FPUs to apply the questionnaire and evaluation forms on the social, economic, cultural and environmental-ecological indicators. The sustainability evaluation was done by means of grouping these indicators using the Ameba agroecological method and by mapping using the interpolation method next door neighbor in the study area. Cultural and ecological/environmental indicators led to better conditions in terms of sustainability, in the range of good to excellent while the social economic indicators led to results appraised as weak to fair.
