Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) As Cadeias de valor alimentar inclusivas e sustentáveis do açaí e do peixe: o caso de Abaetetuba, PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-01-15) SALGADO, Mayany Soares; SANTANA, Antônio Cordeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2532279040491194; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4324-9178The inclusive and sustainable food value chains of assai and fish are activities that generate income, employment, foreign exchange, with exports to Brazilian and international markets, as well as being fundamental to supplying the local market and preserving the natural stocks of assai trees in floodplains and fish in regional rivers in the territory of influence of the city of Abaetetuba. Due to the importance of these products in functional food, demand has been growing faster than supply, causing pressure on the stocks of these natural assets and generating environmental externalities in all links of these chains. In this context, the general objective of the thesis was to analyze the configuration of the assai fruit and fish value chains and the interaction between extractivism and the consumer market, taking into account the agents that act and define the peasant territoriality of the municipality of Abaetetuba. The methodology includes descriptive and interpretive analyses of the literature review and of the primary and secondary data collected. The field research, for the collection of primary data, contemplated the qualitative approach, with the use of the in-depth interview technique, aiming to capture the dynamics of the riverside peasants in their survival, based on the exploitation of natural resource stocks, and the quantitative approach, from the application of questionnaires, for the analysis of market information, via specification of consumer demands for assai and fish. The representative sample included 342 interviewees, with a confidence level of 95% and a sampling error of 5.4%. The results showed the lack of commitment of the agents that operate in the processing and marketing links of the products with the preservation of the floodplain in Abaetetetubense, due to their lack of knowledge and experience of the dynamics and preservation needs of the natural ecosystems of the floodplains, and because they only aim at short-term economic results. Consumers of fish and assai extractivism on the islands of Abaetetuba are willing to pay R$ 58.20 and R$ 98.74 per family per month to maintain the preservation of natural stocks of assai and fish, in order to ensure market supply and provide families with a healthy food consumption pattern of 43.12 l of assai and 30.27 kg of fish, respectively. It is concluded that the riverside territoriality, composed of peasants and local intermediaries, showed a high conception of the importance of the environment, related to its existence in the floodplain, from the practice of fishing and assai extraction carried out with the use of techniques of sustainable bases and by the family unit, which provided greater scope for the inclusion of this link in the chain. This research has as its guiding problem: How does the information on environmental sustainability disseminated within the scope of the Federal University of Pará constitute its Institutional Memory? To answer this question, the general objective is to analyze the dissemination of technical-scientific production on environmental sustainability generated within the scope of the Federal University of Pará for the constitution of Institutional Memory. As for the research methods and techniques, a single case study was carried out for data collection, and Content Analysis for the analysis of the data obtained. According to the cut delimited by the research, five sources of evidence were analyzed: Institutional Documents of the Federal University of Pará and the Institutional Communication Office; Analysis, based on data mining, of the pages of the News Portal of the Federal University of Pará and the websites of the Academic Units; Questionnaire answered by the administrators of these pages; Interview with the Director of the Communication Office of the University and Survey of Technical-scientific Production on the subject in the Institutional Repository of Theses and Dissertations of the Federal University of Pará. As a result, it was identified that the disclosures made through the Portal and the websites of the Academic Units are recognized by the University's management as an instrument in achieving the Institution's strategic management. There is dissemination of information on environmental sustainability on the University's websites, however the theme can be worked on further. The Communication Office recognizes the relevance of the theme and has been developing strategies for greater dissemination. As for the constitution of the Institutional Memory, although there is recognition that the Portal is a form of Constitution of the Institutional Memory of the Federal University of Pará, there is still no concern in the sense of structuring and maintaining it from this perspective, with the need to instrumentalize such a need. Using a qualitative and exploratory approach, data was collected via questionnaires on Google Forms and analyzed qualitatively with the assistance of graphs, which allowed for effective organization and interpretation of the information. The results point to the need for pedagogical practices that promote awareness of sustainable development, using modern approaches to engage students. Research resulted in the creation of a Design Thinking Ebook, which supports teachers in implementing an active, interdisciplinary methodology. This material is designed to encourage student collaboration in the development and implementation of projects, aligned with the ten general competences of the Common National Curriculum Basis. Design Thinking is emphasized as a student-centered approach to solving complex problems in a creative and practical way. It highlights the importance of equipping both teachers and students with practical skills and an innovative perspective, preparing them to face current challenges and promote environmental sustainability. For that we carried out a research with information about the profile of islands physical-territorial occupation and carried out interviews with riverside inhabitants to hear the accounts about insular way of live and his relationship with Belém; we took informations from administrative organs that apply public policys in the island; we try to identify the chains of products that compete to insular sustainability; and try to find an indication of the resultant impacts from the relation that occurs between Belém and the region of his south islands. The research established the difficulties of insular occupation maintenance, concluded not existence of productive chains developed in the island and permitted to observe that the pressures that Combu suffers are intensibily originate in the continent and not in the own local space. It retrieves the production on the subject in the main national and international bibliographic sources of scientific articles and theses and dissertations. The reading, classification and analysis of the papers found indicate that the identified production does not cover, in a balanced way, the main categories of study in the scientific field of Information Science, and that it is dispersed with regard to the institutions of origin, editors and the articulation among the authors. But with the growth of this activity was accompanied by possible negative environmental impacts that opposes the dynamic balance of sustainability. Thus it was necessary to characterize these negative environmental impacts related to water resources in the stages of the production chain of beef: Cattle and slaughterhouses/ refrigerators.In the research were emphasized water consumption and generation of bovine tailings causing potential pollution of water resources defined in geographical areas of the mesoregions in the state of Pará. The methodology was used for qualitative and quantitative bibliographic data and statistics research, with the collaboration of the federal and state institutions and the data analysis was presented through graphs and tables and the estimation of some indicators of pollution. The results confirm the great pollution to water resources generated receptors tailings cattle with large increase of BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) both in Cattle and slaughterhouses/ refrigerators activity, where it generated a large amount of organic matter. It was concluded the importance of using sustainable production measures such as reusing byproducts of cattles laughterhouse and the use of strategies Cleaner Production.
