Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O aprender e o orientar na atenção primária: relato de experiência de um semestre de atividades no PET-Saúde(2012-03) ARAÚJO, Fernando Costa; FALCON, Elias Bruno Santana; RODRIGUES, Gizele Moreira; FREITAS, Leidian Coelho de; DUTRA, Claudia Daniele Tavares; PIRES, Carla Andréa AvelarThe Educational Program for Health Work (PET-Saúde) promotes the formation of tutorial learning groups in strategic areas for the Unified National Health System. This study aimed to report on an experiment with a semester of activities experienced by students from the Federal University in Pará (UFPA) that were part of a multi-professional team in the PET-Saúde project in Ananindeua. This project promotes activities that value learning and humanized care. Learning activities involving students include talks and complementary training, discussion of scientific articles, and follow-up of activities at the Primary Care Unit. Primary Care is a learning area for students in the health professions, and their participation in the arena is a major gain for the community, which receives valuable health information.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A assistência estudantil na UFPA e as repercussões para os discentes do curso de pedagogia: da permanência à conclusão(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) SILVEIRA, Antonia Vanessa Freitas; MAUÉS, Olgaíses Cabral; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0118802077232494The general aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between the Student Assistance, developed by UFPA, and permanence until the conclusion of the graduation of students from the course of Pedagogy of the UFPA, campus of Belem. This work presents as specific objectives: to analyze the context of Higher Education in Brazil; to analyze the context of Student Assistance at national level; to identify and analyze the actions of Student Assistance of the UFPA and; to identify and analyze what are the contributions of Student Assistance to students from the course of Pedagogy in the UFPA, campus of Belem. The central problem that guided the research was as follows: Is there a relationship between the policies of the Student Assistance in the UFPA, campus of Belem, and permanence until the conclusion of the course, for students of Pedagogy of the UFPA? The methodology used in the research was a qualitative approach, using both documentary and literature research, and the field research through the application of a semi questionnaire. The work is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, denominated “Higher Education, Teacher Training and the Lula da Silva govern”, we seek to analyze the conjuncture of the expansion of Higher Education in Brazil, as well as teacher training. For this construction, the use of studies as Sguissardi (2006); Lima (2005); Gatti, Barreto and André (2011); Maués and Camargo (2014) was employed. In the second chapter, “Student Assistance: fundamental action to the democratization of Higher Education”, we attempt to approach the discussions about the Student Assistance. The profile of the students, as well as the actions of Student Assistance in the IFES, in Brazil are also prominences of this chapter from the report "VI Research of the Socioeconomic and Cultural Profile of the undergraduate students of Brazilian Federal Universities” (ANDIFES, 2016). Another point raised in this chapter deals with the regulatory frameworks on the Student Assistance in Brazil and the academic production about the theme. For the elaboration of this chapter, studies as Sposati (2011); Sposati et al (2014) and Schons (2008) were used. In the third chapter, we analyze the Student Assistance within the framework of the UFPA and the contributions of these policies for students from the course of Pedagogy, campus of Belem. Official documents of the institution as the Plan of Institutional Development (2011-2015) and the Report of Management for the financial year (2015) were based. The conclusions, which we have reached, indicate a strong arrangement between the expansion of Higher Education in Brazil and the ideal managed by International Organizations, so, the IFES also shows a moment of expansion in its access. With regard to Student Assistance in the UFPA, it was observed that the official documents display the Student Assistance as a priority, however, when we analyze the scope of actions, we note that there is still a long way in order to that Student Assistance is reality for the majority of the students of the UFPA. Insufficiency of actions of Student Assistance is also emphasized in the analysis with respect to senior undergraduate students from the Course of Pedagogy, since the field research also points to the need for expansion of the actions of Student Assistance.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Controle por regras: efeitos de perguntas, propriedades formais de regras e esquemas de reforço(2015-09) GONÇALVES, Adelina Santana; ALBUQUERQUE, Luiz Carlos de; PARACAMPO, Carla Cristina PaivaAiming the investigation of the effects of some variables on rule following, 24 college students were submitted to a matching-to-sample procedure, with the task of pointing to the comparison stimuli in sequence. In Phase 1 the correct sequence was established by differential reinforcement in continuous reinforcement schedule. In Phases 2 and 3 the reinforcement contingencies were kept unchanged, and meanwhile rules (suggestion and mand) discrepant of the contingencies were manipulated. In Conditions 1 and 2, Phases 2 and 3 suggestion and mand were presented in this sequence. In Conditions 3 and 4 the presentation order was reversed. Questions concerning why the behavior was reinforced were presented only in Phase 1 of Conditions 1 and 3. Hundred percent participants did not follow the suggestion, 60% did not follow the mand. Results indicate that the history of alternative behavior to the specified by the rule, justifications, and questions may interfere with the discrepant-to-the-contingencies rule-following, and implications for the comprehension of the functions of the reinforcement contingencies and rules in the explanation of behavior.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Discussões sobre a Relação entre Limite e Continuidade de uma Função: investigando Imagens Conceituais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-12) MESSIAS, Maria Alice de Vasconcelos Feio; QUARESMA, João Cláudio BrandembergThis paper presents the results of an investigation that was made with university students enrolled in the 3rd and 4 th semester of graduation in mathematics at two public universities in the state of Pará (Brazil). We aimed to investigate the concept image of these subjects about the relation between limit and continuity of a function, through an exploratory study done in two stages. The results were related to the researches of Tall and Vinner (1981), Vinner (1991) that composed our theoretical framework. Among the evoked concept images, we emphasize the idea that when a function is not defined in one point of the domain implies, necessarily, in the non-existence of the limit of that function in that point. That is, according to them, the limit’s existence depends on the continuity of the function.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Efeitos da exposição a mudanças nas contingências sobre o seguir regras(2006-04) ALBUQUERQUE, Luiz Carlos de; SILVA, Francynete Melo eBy investigating the effects of experimental histories on discrepant rule following contingencies, nine university students were exposed to a matching-to-sample procedure; the task was to point out, in a set order, it one of three comparison stimuli. Each condition comprised four sessions. The contingencies in Session 1 were altered in Session 2, reestablished in Session 3 and remained unchanged in Session 4, which began with the discrepant rule. The three conditions differed as to the form of establishment of the alternative behavior to that specified by the discrepant rule. Independent of how the behavior was established in Session 1, whether by contingencies (Condition 1) or by rules (Conditions 2 and 3), only those participants who responded correctly in Sessions 2 and 3 (n = 7) did not follow the discrepant rule in Session 4. It is also discussed some of the characteristics that an experimental history should have to interfere with discrepant rule following.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Efeitos de instruções preliminares sobre o seguimento de regras(2012-09) TEIXEIRA JÚNIOR, Ronaldo Rodrigues; PARACAMPO, Carla Cristina PaivaThe present work had as objective to test the effects of different general instructions on rule following. Eighteen college students were exposed to a modified match-to-sample task and divided in three groups, which differed in the presentation of preliminary instructions (complete, without passages about materials or without passages about consequences). Subjects of each group were divided in two experimental conditions, in which accurate and inaccurate instructions were presented. Results showed that absence of sections about materials in the instructions complicates the learning task while absence of sections about consequences decreases the variety of responses. Notwithstanding, all subjects that performed the task correctly followed both accurate and inaccurate instructions.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Efeitos de regras com diferentes extensões sobre o comportamento humano(2001) ALBUQUERQUE, Luiz Carlos de; FERREIRA, Karina Vasconcelos DarwichIn order to verify whether rule size affects rule following, 16 college students were exposed to a matching-to-sample procedure. Depending upon the sample three comparisons should be pointed in a different sequence. Correct sequencing was reinforced. Each condition had three sessions with 30 trials each, and started with one of three rules. Under Condition I, minimal instructions were given; under Condition II, rules R1, R2, and R1 were used, in this sequence; under Condition III, rules R2, R1, and R2 were used, in this sequence; and under Condition IV, rules R3, R1, and R3 were used, in this sequence. R3 was longer than R2, and R2 was longer than R1. Results showed that Rules 1 and 2 were always followed. Rule 3 was followed only in the third session, Condition IV. It is suggested that the size and complexity of a rule does affect rule following behavior.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Efeitos de Regras que Relatam Justificativas Sobre o Comportamento de Seguir Regras(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-10-09) MATSUO, Gilsany Leão; ALBUQUERQUE, Luiz Carlos de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5261537967195189The present study investigated the effects of rules that provide justifications on the rule- following. 12 undergraduate students were exposed to a matching-to-sample procedure, The task consisted of pointing, in a sequence, to each of three comparison stimuli that had only one thing in common with the sample stimulus and differed in other characteristics. Participants were exposed to four experimental conditions that differed only as the order of presentation of the rules. Were presented to participants rules describing minimal justifications (JMI), monetary justification (JMO), social justification (JSO) and monetary justification more social justification (JMO + SO). The rules always describing two options for response, with different response cost: a greater response effort (EFCFCE) and another with less response effort (EFC). The rule with a minimal justification (JMI) had no justification for issuing any sequence. The other rules presented justifications for issuing a sequence of higher cost (EFCFCE). The results showed that 80% of the participants have chosen sequence higher cost (EFCFCE) when exposed to rules with justifications (JMO; JSO; JMO+SO). And 75% of participants chose sequence of lower cost (EFC) when exposed to rule with minimal justification (JMI). It is concluded that effects of rule-following is due, in part, to the formal properties of the rules.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Especialidade médica: escolhas e influências(2014-03) SOUSA, Ivy Quirino de; SILVA, Catarina Pereira da; CALDAS, Cezar Augusto MunizAn awareness of the factors that influence medical students when choosing their specializations is key to understanding how future doctors choose their specializations. Our aim was to identify which specializations were the most popular among students at the University Center of the State of Pará Faculty of Medicine (Cesupa) and the factors that determined this choice. We carried out a cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical study through the application of questionnaires to first- fourth- and sixth-year students between November 2012 and March 2013. Most students were male (59.2%), with an average age of 22 ± 2 years and a household income of more than 10 minimum monthly wages and at least one relative who is a doctor. The main specializations chosen were: plastic surgery (10.4%), endocrinology (15.7%), and ophthalmology (14.0%) in the first, fourth and sixth years, respectively. The main factor influencing this choice in the first year was parental influence (17.2%) and in the fourth and sixth years, finance (15.8% and 22.8%, respectively). Many factors influence the choice of specializations, and it is necessary to seek ways of attracting students to more general areas.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estamos ensinando o que é necessário sobre doenças reumatológicas?(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-03) REBELLO, Pedro Albuquerque; CORRÊA, Thiago Damasceno; FERNANDES, Igor Beltrão Duarte; CALDAS, Cezar Augusto MunizMusculoskeletal disorders have been identified as the main cause of chronic pain and incapacity all over the world. Medical students require contact with the most commonly observed diseases in daily clinical practice in order to minimize the difficulties they might face when handling these conditions as new professionals. The aim was to determine the prevalence of rheumatic diseases among patients seen at the Rheumatology Clinic of the Pará State University Center (CESUPA). A retrospective study was performed through analysis of the medical records of patients seen between October 2013 and April 2014. The data for 255 patients were included, 223 (87.5%) of whom were female, and aged 47.69 ± 15.99 years. Of the 344 diseases diagnosed, the most prevalent was osteoarthritis (23.54%), followed by rheumatoid arthritis (20.05%), collagen disease (17.44%) and soft-tissue rheumatism (15.69%). It is concluded that the profile of diseases with which graduates have had most contact is partially compatible with the profile of the most common musculoskeletal disorders. However, there is concern regarding the low frequency of conditions such as gout, cervicalgia and low back pain, meaning the institution must optimize opportunities of contact with such patients.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Medida do grau de relacionamento entre estímulos equivalentes(2007) BORTOLOTI, Renato; ROSE, Júlio Cesar Coelho deThere are methodological difficulties to quantify the relatedness of equivalent stimuli. The purpose of this study was to create an instrument that could be helpful in this process. Two groups of college students took part in this study. The experimental group established equivalence classes comprised of abstract pictures and pictures of faces expressing anger, happiness and disgust. They then evaluated some of these pictures with a semantic differential. The control group used the same instrument in evaluating faces and figures, untrained in establishing relations between those stimuli. The control group assessed the figures as neutral and their assessment of the faces corresponded to that carried out by the participants of the experimental group – to them, the figures were equivalents to the faces. The comparison between the values attributed to the faces and figures provides a quantitative measurement of the degree of relatedness between those stimuli and that may be used to study parameters such as the number of nodes.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As representações sociais de universitários de sexualidades LGBT sobre seus processos de escolarização e as implicações em seus projetos de vida(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-08-25) DUARTE, Francisco Ednardo Barroso; NASCIMENTO, Ivany Pinto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6649004854958284This study aims at discussing and analyzing the social representations of LGBT university students (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual and Transgender) on their educational processes and the implications of this trajetory in their life projects. In order to do this, four people were chosen based on their specific sexual identities according to the terms of LGBT acronym, i.e. a lesbian woman, a young gay man, a bisexual and a transsexual woman. Initially we situate the LGBT issues in the current scenario as well as their origin and basic characteristics. Then, questions about education, difference and schooling are problematized throughout the study as well as we present specifically the main features of the Social Representation Theory and Queer Theory, and then we try to compare both in terms of theoretical and methodological backgrounds. We firstly intend to comprehend their learning paths dividing them into three stages: basic, secondary and higher formal education, which we call the first, the second and the third schooling process, respectively. Their school trajectories were analyzed from the theoretical and epistemological framework of Social Representation Theory based on Moscovici (2003; 2002) and Jodelet (1989) and methodological theoretical framework of Queer Theory from Butler's studies (2014; 1993). This study can be considered a descriptive, qualitative and interpretative research, and concerning to the research method in use, part of the analytical framework of the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) proposed by Lefevre and Lefevre (2012; 2005) is taken into account as well as the Queer Theory as methodological framework. As a result, we realize that the analyzed students are consensual by the sharing of images and meanings attributed to school and to their sexual identities, and they also try to reach ways of being legitimised by themselves, looking for in education a significant empowerment as a compensation for the school clashes which surely impacted on their life projects.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A reumatologia em um curso de medicina com aprendizagem baseada em problemas(2013-12) CALDAS, Cezar Augusto Muniz; PAZ, Otávio Augusto Gomes da; NEGRÃO, José Nazareno Cunha; CALDATO, Milena Coelho FernandesOBJECTIVE: To present the experience of a Brazilian institution in the learning of Rheumatology at medical school and whose teaching project is structured into active learning methodologies. METHODS: Derived from a descriptive study with a qualitative approach to content related to Rheumatology in the medicine course of CESUPA. RESULTS: The musculoskeletal system is discussed in the second and seventh terms as part of the modules related to the locomotor system and Internal Medicine II, respectively, and each stage and activity has specific minimum objectives. In addition to the theoretical content, in the seventh term the students conduct Rheumatology ambulatory care where the focus is on preparing proper anamnesis and physical examination. During internship the students resume Rheumatology ambulatory care and at this point their diagnostic, investigative and therapeutic skills are the most required. CONCLUSION: There still is much to evolve in terms of finding an ideal model for teaching Rheumatology. However, by complying with the principal recommendations available for good medicine school teaching practices, we are able to offer future doctors the knowledge, skills and experiences that will potentially support them when treating rheumatology patients.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Variáveis que podem interferir no seguir regras de participantes flexíveis e inflexíveis(2014-03) PARACAMPO, Carla Cristina Paiva; SOUZA, Lívia Mello; ALBUQUERQUE, Luiz Carlos deAiming to evaluate the effect of pre-experimental histories on rule-following, 16 college students were submitted to a computerized matching-to-sample procedure. The task was to point to each of three comparison stimuli in sequence. Eight participants, 4 flexible and 4 inflexible, were allocated to each of two four-phase conditions. In Phase 1, the correct sequence was established by contingencies. Reinforcement to the emission of the correct sequence was maintained during the following three phases – in Condition 1, the continuous reinforcement schedule (CRF), and in Condition 2, the fixed-ratio 4 (FR4). In both conditions, Phase 2 started with the presentation of a discrepant rule, Phase 3 started with a corresponding rule, and Phase 4 started with a discrepant rule. Following the discrepant rule did not produce the programmed reinforcement, but following the corresponding rule produced reinforcement. In Condition 1 (CRF), the 8 participants, flexible and inflexible, stopped following the discrepant rule. In Condition 2 (FR 4), the inflexible participants kept following the discrepant rule and the flexible ones stopped following it. It is suggested that the effects of pre-experimental histories are modulated by present variables.
