(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-13) SILVA JUNIOR, Valdecir Ramos da; AMORIM, Célia Regina Trindade Chagas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9650931755253248
In this dissertation, Festival Telas em Movimento of Belém do Pará is understood as a collective that contributes through actions, experiences and artistic-cultural activities, and promoves of cinema and audiovisual in communities on the periphery, riverside, quilombolas and indigenous peoples, from the Amazon. Telas em Movimento's activities seek to train young people to produce audiovisual content that helps in the personal and social development of their communities. Its main practice is the dialogue between audiovisual and resistance, through the dissemination of techniques and knowledge in filmmaking and thinking. In this work, the understanding of the educommunication process developed in the experiences of the Collective is evidenced, therefore, the objective is to understand the communicational dynamics, in the educommunicative practices of the Telas Em Movimento collective. One of the main work methodologies used is participatory Action Research in Brazil, contextualized by Cicília Peruzzo (2017) and designed by Orlando Fals Borda (1989), aiming at the construction, development and collaborative investigation of research issues. The basic concepts in this study are the Freirean educational perspectives, such as pedagogy of the oppressed (FREIRE, 1987) and pedagogy of autonomy (FREIRE, 2021), the applicability of the concepts of Educommunication by Ismar Soares (2011) and decoloniality as an enunciating concept, which through methodology and conceptualization make up the theoretical and methodological basis of this work, presented here by Walter Mignolo (2017), Catherine Walsh (2009, 2017), among others. The results demonstrate that Telas em moviment, educational needs and practices as a tool for social emancipation and that through its experiences it provides social and professional possibilities, as well as seeks to build new narrative practices in communicational products.

This dissertation aims to understand the implications of exposure to stressful events in the lives of teenagers and young students in public schools and the possible interactions between risk factors (stressor events) and development protection factors. This is a multi-method research organized in two studies. The first one consists of a Systematic Review of Literature (SRL) on stressful events in the development of Brazilian children, teenagers and young people, whose aim was to construct a panorama of research on the subject. The articles were selected in the Portal of Periodicals of CAPES, SciELO and the Virtual Health Library - Brazil (VHL-BR), totalizing a set of 21 empirical articles. The results indicated the lack of productions on the subject in the North of Brazil and that the youth, as analytical category, is not so evidenced. The analysis of the research landscape indicated three investigative tendencies: the first one refers to the studies that deal with the implications of the stressor events in the development; the second relates to research that discusses these implications but relates them to other variables in order to identify the developmental outcomes of stress exposure; the third, and last, concerns the processes that can act as moderators between stressors and developmental outcomes. The second, quantitative-qualitative study was organized in two samples: the first (quantitative) sample consisted of 510 (five hundred and ten) students from 8 (eight) public schools in the city of Belém, of both sexes, with ages between 12 and 24 years, who responded to the Inventory of Stressful Events in Adolescence - IEEA; the second (qualitative) sample consisted of 1 (one) Dialogue Group - DG, with a total of 32 students from the 1st year of high school, held in one of the participating schools of the first stage of the research. The purpose of the DG was to understand perceptions, meanings and interactions between risk factors and protection in adolescence and youth. The results indicated a very diverse scenario of stressful events in which the participants were exposed, above all, in the family and school microsystems. The survey also identified strong impacts of sexual violence on development. As a protective factor, it was found that the relations of friendship had a very important moderating role in the face of these adversities. Finally, it was discussed the need of other protective processes to be potentialized and perceived by young people, especially in the family and at school, since there are stressors that need to be addressed in an articulated way with the help of these institutions.

O extermínio da juventude popular no Brasil: uma análise sobre os “discursos que matam”
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-08-26) MORAIS, Romulo Fonseca; DELUCHEY, Jean-François Yves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2530487459645226
In Brazil, it's terrifying the number of people killed every year. However, some aspects call the attention in this scenario: the statistics show a colossal number of people from the same social group, age group and ethnicity being annihilated daily. The black youth and or nearly black because it's too poor has been part of more than half the number of deaths. From this context it is practically inevitable not problematize the practice of the daily extermination against this segment of the population. The most visible part of that extermination practice can be seen in the performance of the criminal justice system, especially in the intense criminalization of the youth at the present stage of neoliberalism. Assuming that there is no extermination without the construction of discourses that legitimize it ( "truth discourses that can kill," according to Foucault), the research's main problem is to know how the practice of extermination of the black youth is performed and legitimized through speeches around the lives of young people in Brazil. Using as reading keys the contributions of critical criminology and biopower, we intend to analyze how these discourses in the social body and in an institution (childhood and youth justice) is (re)produced and how they operate in the legitimization of death, becoming "speeches that they kill". From this, we aim to discuss these deaths not as simple random and isolated events but as part of an permanent process of criminalization and extermination of popular youth in Brazil.

Juventude, escolarização e projeto de vida: representações sociais dos jovens de Bragança/Amazônia Paraense
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-02-28) FARIAS, Degiane da Silva; NASCIMENTO, Ivany Pinto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6649004854958284
This thesis is the result of a study on Youth and Schooling and had as the main goal to analyze the High Public School young people’s Social Representations from the city of Bragança-(PA) on their schooling and the implications in their life projects. This study was supported by the Theory of Social Representations (SRT) developed by the Romanian Serge Moscovici (1978) and consolidated by Denise Jodeled (2001), Nascimento (2002) and Celso Sá (2003), amongst others. The discussion on Youth, Schooling and Life Project was based on Nascimento (2014), Spósito and Carrano (2003), Dayrell (2016), Abramovay, Castro and Waiselfisz (2015). Based on the theoretical reference of the TRS, from the perspective of the procedural approach, the logic of the dimensions that make up the thematic network of this work was synthesized based on the following questions: Who says and from where it is said? What is said and with what effect? Four thematic analyzes were constructed from the images and meanings expressed in the subjects' speeches: the importance of the school; Difficulties faced by young people either to be or to remain in school; The school desired by the young; Plans for the future (Life projects). It is a qualitative study from the perspective of Ludke and André (1986), as the informative exploratory type in Leopardi (2002) and Lakatos and Markoni (2011). Three data collection techniques were used for the development of this research: the questionnaire, the focus group and the Free Word Association based on Gil (1999), Gondim (2003) and Nóbrega and Coutinho (2003). The subjects of the survey were 95 young people from the 3rd year of high school. The questionnaire and free association of words were applied to all young participants in the research, and the focus group was carried out with a group of 13 young people defined by application. Based on the goals of the research, the results pointed out that it is a group of subjects marked by characteristics of attachment to the world of work, to the condition of father, mother, riverine person, fisherman, digital native, therefore plural and heterogeneous subjects. These youngsters give the school needful purposes and meanings for the construction of their life projects insofar as it assumes it as a place from which their projections gain possibilities of concretization.

Juventudes quilombolas: memória, resistência e construção de identidades
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-03-08) SANTOS, José Rodrigo Pontes dos; SILVA, Lúcia Isabel da Conceição; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5758168217659420
The study aimed to analyze the construction process of the identities developed by the young quilombolas in the confrontations between their relations and practices in the Quilombo context and with external territories, as well as the resistances strategies generated in this process. Methodologically, the work was developed through the participant research and a questionary answered by seven young people of the Comunidades Associadas de Remanescentes Quilombolas de Itaboca, Cacoal e Quatro Bocas located in the municipality of Inhangapi, northeast of the state of Pará. The result of this research showed that the interactions within the communities reveal educational activities passed from generation to generation through daily Activities such as fishing, hunting, and extraction of fruits of the forest, which together, carry traces of Desquilombolas culture, memory and ancestry, giving life and support to the group's identity. On the other hand, the changes caused by globalization broke the borders between the nations and lead to the formation of new identities built through the merging of new values, visions of world and culture. This "mixture" can be perceived through the emergence of a diversity of influences that reach young quilombolas people through school activities, exchange with other cultures outside the Quilombo or even through the communication networks as Internet and television. Those new forms of identities join other essentials related to biological sex and nationality, thus giving life to different identities shared by everyone.

This article is about the new patterns of migration among farmer families in the eastern Amazon. These patterns were commonly framed as a strategy of social mobility, where moving was a way to acquire land. However, recent studies have shown that migration drivers are evolving because of social modernization and the rise of educational standards. While farmer families’ new strategies are well known, such as investing in education and moving to cities, little attention has been given to their quantification. By examining three “projetos de assentamento” (settlement projects) in the eastern Amazon, we wish to highlight the diversity of strategies that are used, and examine the way they relate to existing geographical and social settings.

Programas para a juventude: impactos socioeconômicos e socioculturais na vida dos jovens de baixa renda de Belém - Pa

This dissertation aimed to analyze the socioeconomic and sociocultural impacts arising from the implementation of the Federal Programs, Identidade Jovem (ID) and ProJovem Urbano in Belém, from 2012 to 2020. respect for Youth in its conceptual aspects and sociological categories on different authors, in addition to that, the theoretical question about the State and the discussion and advances of Public Policies for Youth in Brazil were analyzed. In this way, we sought to understand the meaning and perception of these young people who experienced the referred programs and the perspectives and/or positive or negative changes that added to their lives. In this sense, a qualitative approach based on the non-directive interview technique was used as a working method, which basically consists of obtaining information based on the free speech of the interviewee. Thus, in the ID Jovem Program, offering half price benefits for sporting events, cinema, theaters, among others, in addition to free interstate transport, 29 young people who participated in this Project and the Projovem Urbano Program, which aimed to increase the level of elementary school education and professional qualification, 42 people who participated in this Project were interviewed in 08 (eight) administrative districts of the municipality of Belém, in addition to documentary research. In general, the programs were well accepted by the young population, given the great repercussion and positive impacts on their lives, however, the lack of continuity of youth projects and dissemination of their agendas and the obstacles in the personal and family life of young people project participants add up to major impediments to better performance with quality in school and professional life. Another aspect is the dismantling and weakening that public policies for youth have suffered in recent years, with loss of budget, causing the discontinuity and demobilization of Programs and Projects aimed at this public.

This dissertation entitled "Urban Projovem (Programa Nacional de Inclusão de Jovens - National Youth Inclusion Program) as public policy for education: education and employability of graduates in the municipality of the Imperatriz/Maranhão State-MA”, Brazil. It aimed to analyze the impact of Urban Projovem on schooling and on the professionalization of youth; and also it aimed to analyze how the program enabled the students to pursue studies as well as entering the labor market, converging to improve their material, social, spiritual, and cultural conditions. This research was based on the methodological approach of qualitative research and references that take the historical-dialectical materialism as method of data analysis. Data collection was preceded by a literature review followed by field research carrying out semi-structured interviews with seventeen young people coming from the Urban Projovem. It was noted initially that the level of dropout and repetition in Urban Projovem in Imperatriz reaches levels above 50%, similarly to other cities and states of Brazil. With regard to the studies' continuity, most did not continue and the number of young people who could work in the field for which they were qualified represented less than one third of interviewees. Results show that the goals of pursuing studies and inclusion of young people in the labor market have not been achieved. The short time for a more solid formation, the nuclei‟s disintegration with the turnover of teachers, lack of practical lessons regarding the professional qualifications, and the unpreparedness of qualifiers are among the identified problems. However, despite these problems, young people emphasized the program importance for their lives towards personal enhancement with respect to the inclusion sense and belongingness to society, overcoming shyness, sociability, increased self-esteem, relationships with family, independence, and changing in overview about reality and the world. Based on the program dimension, it is concluded that its effects are very small and its emergency nature ensures more a certification than training and social skills of millions of youth and adults.

    Trabalho e educação: juventude encarcerada
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-06) FIDALGO, Fernando Selmar Rocha; ALVES, Yara Elizabeth; SILVA, Karol Oliveira de Amorim
This article aims to discuss the imprisonment of Brazilian youth. This theme emerges from the discussions carried out within the framework of the Observatório Nacional do Sistema Prisional (ONASP) [National Observatory of Prison System] and the debate instigated by the Proposta de Emenda Constitucional (PEC) nº 171 de 1993 [Proposal for Constitutional Amendment], which foresees the reducing the criminal liability from 18 to 16 years for some crimes. Concerning the methodology, it was carried out a survey of documents and data on the Brazilian prison population, young people in fulfillment of educational correctional measure and the country's youth occupation rates. The discussion seeks to demonstrate that the history of social exclusion previous to imprisonment reveals the imminent need of inclusion of young people in the sphere of rights, including the work and education.

Trabalho familiar ou assalariamento? Dilema de jovens em comunidades rurais
(2013-06) ALVES, Ketiane dos Santos; MOTA, Dalva Maria da
The objective of this work was to analyze working strategies used by young people in the agricultural production with strong natural limitations in northeastern Pará. A case study was carried out in 2010 in the community of Nossa Senhora de Lourdes, in the municipality of Mãe do Rio. The main results show that the slash-and-burn based model of natural exploitation in areas of 25ha has caused great problems associated with the depletion of natural resources. Thus, the work strategies, especially among the young people are being rearranged. They now seek wage-earning activities as an alternative to obtain incomes faster and to develop their autonomy projects. This new reality has promoted changes in manpower demand and hiring in their units of origin and an overload of work for the people who remain in the family work.
