Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) As críticas de Karl Marx e John Maynard Keynes à teoria (neo)clássica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-12) CARVALHO, André Cutrim; CARVALHO, David FerreiraSay's Law is nothing more than a principle or axiom that today serves as a basis to support the theoretical framework of neoclassical economics. The criticism against this principle in Keynes's General Theory was so overwhelming that eventually causing a division in economics: classical economics (sustained by the principle Say) and saving Keynes (underpinned by the principle of effective demand). In this context, this paper discusses the original formulation of Say's Law, as the basic principle of sustaining the economy of the classical and neoclassical, and its connection with the formulation of the Law of Walras, as well as presenting the criticism that John M. Keynes and Karl Marx did to this axiom.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) A importância econômica do princípio da demanda efetiva em Keynes-Kalecki no âmbito da economia política(Universidade de Passo Fundo, 2019-06) CARVALHO, André Cutrim; CARVALHO, David FerreiraThe purpose of this article is to rescue the conceptual proximity relationship between the principle of effective demand by John Maynard Keynes and the principle of effective de mand by Michal Kalecki. According to the PDE, economic agents determine the level of output and, therefore, employment when they make the decision to produce or invest in a monetary economy of capitalist production. To criticize Say’s Law and, thus, the founda tions of economic orthodoxy, Keynes and, later, Kalecki created a legacy through a new taxonomy, which gave political economy a different conceptual framework to criticize say’s law and, of course, the fundamentals pertaining to (neo) classical orthodoxy.
