(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-03-11) MOREIRA, Alex Santos; FURTADO, Marli Tereza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2382303554607592
Discredited as a critical model, impressionistic criticism until the first half of the twentieth century dominated the literary debate in Brazil and its performance was hegemonic in the literary supplements of newspapers, magazines and weeklies. It is known that for a long time, it was the main source of readers’ guidance, revealing reading keys, clearing plots, playing characters and most of all it was also the living bond responsible for the link between the work and the reader and between literature and everyday life. Thus, this paper studies the literary criticism in the press of the city of Rio de Janeiro on the first three novels of Pará Dalcídio Jurandir writer (1909-1979). Show how Chove nos Campos de Cachoeira (1941), Marajó (1947) and Três Casas e um Rio (1958), in its immediate context of publication, were read by critics considered Impressionist. We intend to recognize how consolidated the meanings of these books, elucidate the critical procedures of the first assessors Dalcídio Jurandir and raise new hypotheses that help the new readings of these novels to go beyond what is laid by the current critical system.

Gulliver´s Travels na perspectiva adaptada de Clarice Lispector: o leitor infantojuvenilem em questão
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-03-10) AMORIM, Thaís Fernandes; PRESSLER, Gunter Karl; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0100053541433805
This work aims to investigate the moralizing and satirical content present in the Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels (1735) in the adapted perspective of Clarice Lispector (1973-2008), showing the treatment that the writer gives to these elements and how a child and youth audience would give account these contexts. Recognizing the narratives, historical or literary, they build a representation about reality and this representation materializes in the text, we try to understand the reception of these texts from the adapted text of Lispector, understanding that this is an intermediate instance between the author, the adapter and the reader. For that, we will approach some theoretical questions that deal with the interpretation and reception of the literary text (JAUSS, 1979), the reader's participation in the construction of the text (ISER, 1999), therefore retextualized by the adaptation, from the unveiling of the metaphors (LAKOFF & JONSON, 2002) and the interpretation of signs, icons and symbols (PIERCE, 2005), since the children's text deals with many images; as well as a translational practice based on dynamic equivalence principle (KADE, 1968), since the translator recreates the function that words may have in the source text situation. Such incursion is necessary, since Lispector retextualizes certain passages in a metaphorical way and does not use illustrations in her work (a recurring feature in works applied to children and adolescents). Knowing then that the text depends on the reader's availability to gather all that is offered and contributes to the constitution of meanings, an investigation will be made in the research of children's literature to discuss who these readers are, as well as in the studies of translation/adaptation of children's literature (LATHEY, 2006; OITTINEN, 2006; VENUTI, 1995), considering that it is this translated and adapted text that the children's reader will have access to.

Leitura e recepção de A hora e vez de Augusto Matraga (2005-2017)
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-09-29) FÉLIX, Antonio Daniel; HOLANDA, Sílvio Augusto de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0928175455054278; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3971-9007
This dissertation aims to conduct an analysis of the novella “A hora e vez de Augusto Matraga”, the last narrative in Sagarana (1946), the first work of the writer João Guimarães Rosa, as well as carrying out an analysis of its critical reception among the years 2005 and 2017. Our reading of the novella is based on the proposal of a hermeneutic nature made by the German scholar Hans Robert Jauß (2002), according to whom, in order to have the most complete possible understanding of a given text, many consecutive readings are necessary to be made. Our analysis of the critical reception of the work, in its turn, is mainly based on the concept of aesthetic experience also developed by Jauß (1969), which, concerning it, is divided into two levels, namely: pre-reflective and reflective. The first is the moment in which the reader, in his interaction with the literary text, is involved by it; the second, which may or may not occur after the former, is the occasion in which the reader critically turns his attention to the work, in order to understand, by relating that to his previous knowledge, thereby expanding his understanding of the world and himself . The texts to be analyzed were, initially, chosen through the reading of their abstracts, since we intended to have a general idea of the themes and forms of interpretation applied to the work. Among the texts of reception of our corpus, our analysis is concentrated on 10 of these, namely: Rolim (2005), Leitão (2006), Truzzi (2007), Benedetti (2008), Pereira (2009), Lacerda Neto (2012), Sousa (2014), Oliveira (2015), Ribeiro (2016) and Vital (2017). As a result, we could observe that there are both divergent interpretations, in relation to one or other point, as well as convergent interpretations, which assume the same perspective in relation to another point, with the predominance of an interpretation of a religious and another of philosophical nature. Our conclusion is that any text that aims to offer a definitive interpretation for a work according to one or another thought can be refuted, in view of the multiplicity of contrasts that compose a work.

This thesis has the object the Meaning Network about Reading Lessons in the experience of Undergraduate-Reader in Letters Course - PARFOR / UFPA, and the objective is to understand the reframing of expressed discourses by Letters Course undergraduates to set up a Meaning Network about Reading Lessons in the reader experience. In this study, we organized the discoursive dialogical relations produced as Meaning Network for designing the theoretical basis of the Meaning Network by listening to experiences of Reading activities Lessons: Bakhtin (1997, 2003); Bruner (1990 and 1995); Souza (2014); Larossa (2006); and Petit (2009a and 2009b). The methodology is predominantly qualitative and constituted the research corpus at a group of Letters Course in the city Redenção/PA: 26 questionnaires; 09 interviews with narrative character; and 01 memorial written, and notes in class diaries. The analysis of listening to the experience of the subject’s Reading Lessons revealed three dimensions: the first are the discursive activities of the Subject: Reader’s Territoriality of the Formation– as variant of movement and dimension of the use of Reader’s reading objects; and Reader’s Subjunctivity – as meaning creation variant to build its own history of reader. The second dimension as Discursive activities in the Subject-Reader’s Memory: Social Reader Horizon – as a variant of reflection of the value of recreation of the reader’s meaning. The third dimension is the updated historicity of Subject-Reader’s Consciousness Formation: the formation of Meaning Network through the Reading Lessons in the experience of reader through the variants formed in the first and second dimension. Thus, the study helps to think discursive dialogical scenes of the readers as negotiation and reformulate the entry of new meanings of Reading Lessons in the Reader experience steadily in its historicity Reader’s Consciousness Formation. What supports this thesis is that the cultural experience of the word reader emerges socially in the Territory of Teacher Education through dialogism to (re)negotiate and take a place with cultural difference of reader, capable of making visible their discursive activity for designing your Meaning Network as Historicity of Consciousness Formation of the Reader’s Reading Lessons.
