The research presents results of an investigation about the process of continuous training of teachers in service who teach mathematics in the initial years of Elementary School in schools of the municipality of Ponta de Pedras, in Marajó, Pará, Brasil. Researches indicate that in the early years of Elementary Education (aiEF), there is still greater emphasis on teaching other blocks that make up the mathematics curriculum, compared to working with Space and Form, more specifically, when compared to studies related to geometry. However, these same research points out the importance of teaching this content in aiEF. Faced with this problem, the question that emerged and which guided this research was how gemetry has been taught by teachers who teach mathematics in the initial years of Elementary School? In these terms, we present as objective, to investigate how the geometry has been taught by teachers who teach mathematics in the initial years in the municipality of Ponta de Pedras. To collect data were used questionnaire, audio recording, documents and logbook. The research was structured in two stages, applying a questionnaire that allowed to draw the profile of the teachers and to detect their experiences and experiences related to the teaching / learning of geometry and the planning and development of five training meetings, with the purpose of reflecting on teaching / learning geometry. In these terms, the research was carried out from March to November 2016 and had as participants a group of teachers and graduates of the Integrated Degree in Science, Mathematics and Language Education offered by the Institute of Mathematical and Scientific Education. As a final product, differential of this modality of masters, a proposal of continuous formation in service on the block Space and Form, in particular, teaching/learning of geometry for the initial years is presented.

This thesis presents elaborate reflections and arguments from the investigative path of literacies that are beyond the school walls. The qualitative research, developed with ethnographic emphasis, aims to analyze the elements present in the learning of children from early years, beyond the walls of the classroom, to an understanding of literacy (mathematics) as multiple and plural. The research collaborators are children of two classes, a basic cycle I 2˚ year with 18 children and another of the Basic Cycle I 2˚ and 3˚ years with 13 students from schools located in riverine areas of Belém-PA. Analyses are interpretative. Pictorial or oral manifestations later systematized in episodes were assessed in the light of the outstanding theoretical framework. The collected material were made selections about what was referring to literacy (the school or outside), the learning context for culture and relations with mathematics (experienced in school or not). The agenda is theoretical foundation in Edgar Morin (open rationality), Mia Couto, D'Ambrosio, Conceição Almeida (learning the culture and Teresa Vergani. The results are based on evidence that allow me to defend the thesis that mathematics literacy it is multiple and plural and is in dialogue and complementarity between school knowledge and knowledge developed in informal learning environments where children engage in experiences and experiences that allow learning by doing, observing, interacting, listening.

The present study objective to analyze the contributions of the interventions of the teacher-monitor for the emergence and development of the argumentation among students participating in the Science Club "Prof. Dr. Cristovam W. P. Diniz", of the Federal University of Pará - Campus Castanhal, during an investigative experimental activity on the introductory concepts of area and perimeter. It Emerged from the reflections of the researcher during her personal and professional experiences in the classroom, and that contribute to the constitution of our identity as educator of Mathematics. In view of this, we apply a sequence of teaching based on the stages of investigative experimentation, in which we seek to identify, in our interventions as teacher-monitors, the pedagogical and epistemological purposes expressed to favor the argumentation among the students. Regarding the students' statements, we tried to verify in the argumentative process developed, both the elements and the structure according to the of Toulmin’s Pattern (2001), such as the epistemological operations presented by students expressing the relations that occurred during the construction of mathematical knowledge. The research is characterized as qualitative, in which we use as video recording instruments, video recordings, photographs, audio recordings and field notes, with subsequent transcription of the subjects' speeches. For the interpretation of the information collected, we chose to use Content Analysis. The space investigated is considered an alternative environment destined for teaching, research and extension of didactic actions turned to Science and Mathematics. The participants were four students of the fifth year and three of the sixth year, totalizing seven subjects. During the analysis, it was possible to identify, in each of the episodes considered more prominent, that our interventions as teacher-monitor had great relevance, since from the developed epistemological purposes and pedagogical actions it was possible organize and guide the investigative activity so that it helps in the emergence of argumentation and the construction of mathematical knowledge. We verified that emerged argumentative organisms according to the Toulmin pattern, being constituted of data (D), conclusion (C), warranty (W), backing (B), modal qualifier (Q) and refutation (R). In relation to the epistemological operations presented by the students in the development of the argumentation, we perceive that various forms of action and thought have arisen, being mainly explored deduction, induction, causality, definition, classifying, appeal to analogies and attributes, consistency with experience and plausibility. The final product generated by the research consists of a video guidance that explains the stages of investigative experimentation and evidences the attitude of the educator for the emergence and development of argumentation among students.

This study aims at characterizing communication in mathematics classes, from the perspective of Formative Assessment based on Semana and Santos (2012) and Fernandes (2008, 2012). It emerged from the need for improvements in teaching practice and assessment of the researcher teacher. In view of this, a sequence of four tasks of the mathematical content of percentage was applied, with the intention of articulating teaching, learning and assessment in a group of youngsters and adults students. The teaching methodology used in the intervention was the exploratory one, in which the students carried out the tasks in groups and later socialized the results in the collective discussion in the whole class. The methodology of the research follows a qualitative according to Bogdan and Biklen (1994), approach in which the interventions of the students and the researcher teacher were analyzed, based on the three dimensions of communication proposals for Semana and Santos (2012): dynamics, focus and meaning. The data collection is based on the audio recording of all the communications that occurred in the groups, in the stage of accomplishment of the tasks, and video-audio recording of the interventions occurred in the collective discussion of the results, with subsequent transcription of the speeches of those involved. The written records made by students during the tasks, the students’ perceptions of classroom experience - obtained through a video-recorded interview - also served as background information for the study. The empirical data were the object of an analysis of content oriented by the dimensions of communication: dynamics, focus and meaning and themes that emerged from the articulation between the research questions and the theoretical framework. The obtained results show that the communication of the students was predominantly destined for another student (dynamics), both in the stage of accomplishment of the tasks and in the phase of collective discussion of the results; In relation to the focus they focused the majority of their attentions to the process of resolution of the tasks; as to meaning they intended to explain in most communications. Regarding to dynamics of the teacher's interventions, in the phase of accomplishment of the tasks most of his communications were destined for the groups of students, while in the phase of the collective discussion the greater part was destined for the class; As to the focus, the teacher focused his attention on the process of solving the tasks; And in relation to the meaning it is evidenced a speech substantially of the type question in which it requested explanation of the students. In this way, the communication developed in the classroom was characterized as social interaction, in which the students appeared as a learning resource for the others, contributing to the practice of formative assessment. It was also concluded that the researching on the his own practice allowed relevant professional learning to the researcher teacher, transforming his conceptions about teaching, learning and assessment.

Nowadays the expression Countryside Education managed to establish itself as a concept related to a specific model of education. Much more than a practice, it is about an analysis category, not only due to education, but primarily because of the historicity of sociocultural practices which happen in countryside communities. And the school inserted in this context has to be in constant dialogue with the protagonist subjects in this scenario. In this perspective, Ethnomathematics arises as an important research field and tendency in Mathematical Education, whose outlook is investigative about the theme. In Brzil, according to INCRA dates, there are 9,290 settlements which assist approximately 969,640 families. According to these data, the state of Maranhão appears in second place in the number of settlements, being 1025 with 131,630 assisted families, only second to the state of Pará, with 1055 settlements The present work aims to study the search for dialogue between the know-hows that emerge from the social practices of the workers in a countryside settlement in the west of the state of Maranhão and the knowledge spread by the official curriculum of the schools. The main theoretical contributions that guided the study were D’Ambrosio (2012, 2011, 2001, 1998, 1986), Freire(2014), Mendes (2010, 2015) and Radford (2011, 2014). The research subjects are four people from the settlements and four teachers who teach mathematics at the settlement school. The investigation presents itself as an action-research, of a qualitative approach; however, in its architecture the study seeks to reconciliate some ethnographic techniques, such as the direct and participant observation, the field diary, life history and interviews. Starting from the organization and analysis of the information obtained in the field research and its connections to the theoretical contributions which served as basis for the construction of the thesis it was possible to organize a pedagogical proposal to the teaching of mathematics in countryside settlement schools based on the identified sociocultural practices, and mainly centered on the generating themes and questions that appeared in loco.

Driven by Inquiry: What are the perceptions of deaf students about the teaching-learning process in the face of the challenges of classroom communication? I treat in this study of my "experiences and learnings" during two decades, in basic education, in the perspective of Inclusive Education. The relevance in reflecting my own practice is due to the need to star my teaching in inclusive education, because unknowing the subject sometimes made me absent, and until conniving in the face of my limitations with deafness, segregating and excluding without realizing it. Under one light of curiosity, the teaching plot aims to analyze the contributions of deaf students' perceptions about mathematics teaching-learning, considering the complexity of communication in the classroom, to which I turn to Teaching and Learning Mathematics for Citizen Education, from a scientific school research, in the perspective of scientific literacy on mathematical education and education of the deaf, aiming theoreticalmethodological reflections that contribute to inclusive pedagogical practices and future studies in this area. I theorize my teaching history, based on the qualitative research in the narrative (auto) biographical modality, in which I narrate situations lived in different contexts of basic education, considering the nuances of the reality of regular education and the complexity of inclusive education, having as an illustration five participants from the relevance of his memories filled with subjectivities. To interpret them, I sought support in the parameters of hermeneutics; of Vygotsky socio-historical theory, which deals with thought and language in an intrinsic relation between man and society; of Radford’ cultural objectification, which presents the formation of man in a cyclical process from the cultural aspects, and Peirces’ Semiotic, which presents the process of semiosis for the construction of ideas; and also of the theories that discuss mathematical education and the education of the deaf. For the record of the information about the object under study, In order to record the information about the object under study, I used as an investigative instrument the semistructured video interview and observations in locus, and for the analysis of the empirical material I used the Discursive Textual Analysis, considering the axes: 1- The social context in the communicative process of mathematical education; 2 - The interfaces of communication in mathematics education; 3 - Elements that limit mathematical learning; 4 - Potential aspects of mathematical learning. The plot analyzed revealed to me that, although legislation exists that supports education for the inclusion of the deaf student, educational practices (family and school) distanced themselves from this ideal, since deaf people are still victims of social invisibility. The perceptions of the protagonists denounce the lack of sensitivity of both parents and educators on the respect to the deaf culture, whose results channel to the need of formation not only in the academic sense, but in practice, that crosses the cultural aspect and why not Ideological, this is the need for a curricular reformulation. As a contribution of this study to society, a digital guidance material will be made available, in which the deaf students themselves participating in the research suggest to mathematics teachers to improve their practices.

The present study has the theme of Functional Teaching and as an object of investigation the teaching and learning difficulties of the subject, having as a perspective the indication of possibilities of action from the looks of scholars, authors of books, teachers and students , From the perspective of the researcher and her experience teaching mathematics. My intention is to analyze the theme, seeking to understand its historical process of construction, analyze books produced and adopted in schools, listen to teachers who work with role teaching and students of these teachers, so that their experiences, wishes, doubts, difficulties and expectations Can also be considered, all aiming to identify difficulties, possibilities and trends, in terms of teaching function to, from there, define principles and guidelines for Teaching Role and this be translated in the form of a teaching product to be presented As a teaching proposal of the theme Function, more specifically, Function Afim. To this end, after a brief description of my training trajectory, I propose a reflexive study on the historical construction of the theme Function, on teaching proposals of Function present in textbooks, results of studies on the subject and on practices of teachers from their Considering the problem of research that concerns the teaching and learning difficulties in the middle level related to the topic Function and I finish by establishing principles for the Teaching of Function and materializing these principles in Cadernos for the Teaching of Function, destined to teachers who work with the theme. The qualitative research is based on Garnica (2004) and was defined in two stages, with the first one, with a bibliographical character, being configured as a diagnostic, descriptive character and performed in three moments, being finalized through a study of the Type of state, based on Fiorentini and Lorenzato (2006). In the second stage, the research is configured in the narrative mode, using the comprehensive interview, from Kaufmann's (1996) perspective, in describing them, according to Moraes & Galiazzi (2007) and in their analysis, from emerging categories Denominated by Moraes (2003). The two stages allowed the identification of principles for the teaching of Function, which are: The teaching and learning process of the topic Function should have as a first reference the previous knowledge of the students in relation to the subject; Understanding must precede formalization; The proposition of introductory activities to the Teaching of Function should have as reference the reality of the students; Students' participation in their learning is a necessary condition in order to make it a personal process in which learning becomes mathematical; The approach to activities must take place in a broad way and allow the connection with other areas of knowledge and diversity in the adoption of Methodological Trends should be a characteristic of the Pedagogical Practice. The principles were then taken as the main references for the elaboration of a proposal of teaching of Function called Cadernos for the Teaching of Function, destined to teachers that act with the teaching of the subject, in which the conceptual understanding of Function , Based on daily activities, on the gradual formalization of the theme and on the consolidation of learning.

This research work was developed with the students of Youth and Adult Education - EJA of High School. The pedagogical organization in classes of this modality of acceleration of schooling can not have characteristic of common class, so I propose to develop with these students studies about the Matrices in two environments: the classroom for face meetings and the platform whatsapp for virtual meetings . The choice of the mathematic concept of matrices is justified by the fact that the students themselves show interest and relevance in their study, since the whatsapp application due to the fact of its popularization and familiarization among the researched students. In the face-to-face classes, the problem solving method was used to organize teaching. At the second moment, the students worked dialogically in the virtual group, seeking the development of the pedagogical activities presented, functioning as a discussion forum, guided by the teacher. The students interact by exchanging messages, sending answers to the questions raised, as well as doing researches and discussing the Matrix theme. In the quest to promote the teaching of mathematics from the use of media resources, we raise our research question: how to use whatsapp to promote learning autonomy, concept construction and student interaction with the mathematical concept from the media? To answer this question, I focus on the purpose of the research: to discuss the study of Matrices from Problem Solving, using whatsapp as the medium. The dialogues in the virtual group extend the students' time of study, through small comments and the theme flows to a conclusion, in addition to the student having in hand the record of the conversations and explanations of the teacher, in this sense the application whatsapp has direct impact in the proposal of this dissertation bringing an environment of revision and registration. In order to substantiate our proposal we dialogue with the authors who deal with: Matrizes, Guelli, Iezzi and Dolce ([198-?]); Problem Solving, Polya (2006); on the media, Lévy (1999), (2004), (2007), besides other researchers who collaborate in the discussions of the mentioned proposal. Reviewing the postings and the accumulation of information generated in the whatsapp environment in the Matrix study promotes a constant flow of information so that the student is not passive in front of them and develop their conclusions about the proposal presented by the teacher. The dynamic activities and tests with objective and discursive questions, worked in the classroom and in the virtual environment, will be part of the final product of this study, which aim to contribute to the improvement of students' performance in the learning activities of Mathematics.

Taking as main reference the writings of Marx, Vigotsky, Duarte and Saviani, this study discusses issues related to the universality of knowledge and the influences of liberalism and postmodernist ideology in mathematics education, which hinder this universality. Inside a theoretical research, our overall objective is to analyze and highlight the influence of postmodernist ideology in education, present in some research in mathematics education. To achieve this goal, we draw the following specific objectives: a) evidence that in the learning how to learn, the school mathematical knowledge has no meaning and that as such, the meaning is in the practices and popular knowledge; b) indicate that in the postmodernist pedagogies there is the valuation of fragmentation and construction of mathematical knowledge to the detriment of its universalization and transmission; c) point multiculturalism as belonging to postmodernist ideology and as a defender of the differences in mathematics education, as a sign of respect for diversity; d) Show multiculturalism, present in the learning how to learn, as an advocate of cultural relativism; e) discuss the appreciation of differences, in order to maintain inequalities, deviating the attention from the larger problem of capitalism, which is the class struggle. In the various works in the area of mathematics education here analyzed, we found the presence of postmodernist ideology expressed in the pedagogies of the learning how to learn and constructivism, that manifest in the appreciation of everyday life over the academic; the construction of knowledge to the detriment of its transmission by the teacher; the relativism; the uncertainty; the harmfulness of the most developed mathematical content; the defense of everyday math expressions as something libertarian and democratic; the defense of differences, too, on behalf of the differences; the combating of universality; the apology to the local and fragmented; the deviation of the class problem to racial or gender problems, contributing to the fragmentation of the fight for a greater cause that is to emancipate all oppressed classes. In other words, liberalism and postmodernist pedagogies hinder the process of humanization, of universalization of knowledge and overcoming the established order. The process of transmitting, by the teacher, of the elaborated mathematical knowledge in school, or the socialization of school mathematics, is of paramount importance to the process of universalisation of knowledge that aims, firstly, the humanization of the individual and, secondly, overcome, by incorporation, the capitalist society.

In this research we aim to elaborate a Didactic Sequence based on Rickenmann and always resorting to previous knowledge that favors the understanding of the notions of Minimum Common Multiple (CMM) and Maximum Common Divisor (MDC) inspired by the Sieve of Eratosthenes. In order to reach the objective, we will assume as theoretical support the Theory of Didactic Situations making use of Didactic Engineering aspects as research methodology. For the elaboration of the Sequence we carry out a historical study with epistemological bias covering the mathematical definitions in the light of Number Theory, as well as the extension of the same ones, the knowledge of the origins and how the objects have been researched and presented in didactic books.

The objective of this study is to present aspects that give life to an object of knowing mathematical school in an educational institution. Unveils the issue of socio-cultural practices of mathematical knowledge objects. Is part of the Research Program in Teaching of Mathematics of the Mathematics Institute of Education and Scientific / UFPA. Uses conceptual contributions of Anthropological Theory of Didactic (TAD) and Ethnomatematics. Brings to the arena of education, some perceptions of theoretical and practical correlations between Mathematics Education and Rural Education. Suggests understandings of mapping cultural practices and discourses House School of Fisheries (CEPE) as instrumentation for understanding institutional resistance in relation to what makes us and subject us. It presents evidence of some historical, epistemological, political and pedagogical of the Rural Education of perspective, from the perspective of Ethnomatematics and TAD. Analyzes levels of co didactic determining the ecology of an object of mathematical knowledge in the educational system of CEPE, in light of the TAD. It features the use of teaching tasks in mathematics study process and its conditions and restrictions, the praxeological organizations that give life to know mathematical objects. It assumes that the educational practices in CEPE move mathematical objects, for example, to Unit Reduction Method (MRU) to resolve situations on the fishing activity. Considers a hypothesis that there is an institutional stake in CEPE, mobilizing discourses and practices that affect the life of knowledge objects in meeting the needs of individuals in their social practices of the field. Advocating as the MRU happens, as it emerges, where practices and under what conditions, comes to the thesis that there are practices with Mathematics at CEPE, involving the MRU for situations solution on production and marketing of fisheries and aquaculture; whose life is sustained by the functionality and use of it is done in the activities as a reality of life for school students; necessarily activating the use of praxeological tasks imposed by the political and pedagogical dimensions. However, these They print the subject ways of thinking and acting making these practices once structured, become internalized, legitimated, rooted reproduced and perpetuated institutionally. Weaves understanding that Social Practice with Math can constitute an important approach and necessary to uncover, outline and possibly understand relationships and influences of mutual and institutional forces in the operation or not mathematical knowledge objects in different levels of co-determination in social practices of Etnocomunidades such as CEPE school.

This research objective is to identify, explain and describe to a better comprehension of how a teacher organizes and develops with the students the learning of geometry within investigative practices. As for the question that guided this project it was defined as: how teachers organize and develop alongside with the students in the learning of geometry within investigative practices. It was used as the theoretical foundation the ideas of Ponte among others, to approach the math related questions. The subject developed through investigative practice was the geometry of blocks – Space and Shape – in fifth grade. It is a qualitative research with an active approach, as for the analysis of collected data; it was used Discursive Text Analysis technique proposed by Moraes e Galiazzi. Interviews and audio recording were utilized as forms to gather data. The analysis shows that teacher while developing activities proposed under service instruction presented in your actions signs of investigative practice reshaping and producing a better engagement of students in the learning of geometry subjects brought to class; using tests, assessments, demonstrations, and validation. At the end of the research, an E-book was presented as a final product, arranged from the experiences with the activities developed by participant teachers during this research, aiming to be used by fifth grades teachers while targeting subjects related to the geometry of blocks, shapes, and forms.

When considering the complexity that involves the formation of indigenous teachers and the teaching of Mathematics in indigenous schools, especially in relation to the interconnections of socio-cultural practices to educational and training activities, which was researched in this work, in which ways can we take the experiences from the socio-interactive activities of the Xerente indigenous peoples as a base for actions to teachers who teach Mathematics in communities of practice. The question that guided this research was, in what sense the socio-interactive activities, experienced by the Xerente indigenous peoples in communities of practice, can mobilize training activities within the discipline of Mathematics for teachers who teach Mathematics at an indigenous school. Hereby, we used the ethnographic qualitative type of research for the collection of information in two villages of Porteira settlement (Nrõzawi e Salto–Kripre) about socio-cultural practices affiliations of Xerente indigenous peoples in exogamous patrilineal halves Doi and Wahirê, and male belonging in the parties of big logs of painted buriti –ĩsitro–Htâmhã and Stêromkwa. The theoretical approaches taken in this research were the communities of practice, within the discipline of Mathematics and Ethno-Mathematics, as they propitiate a rereading of these cultural practices within a view that triggers further actions in and for the training of teachers, starting from the negotiation of the meanings of cultural practices of these indigenous. The results obtained throughout the analysis indicate that the Xerente indigenous communities, in their socio-cultural practices, share a sort of joint venture, a mutual commitment and a shared repertoire in order to constitute themselves as communities of practice. Therefore, Srêmtôwẽ indigenous school goes, in their didactic and pedagogical actions, in the direction of forming communities of practice from the collective collaboration of socio-cultural practices that contribute to the creation and recreation of new Mathematics learning.

Financial education in Brazil is something that may be considered new to most. It is not customary for Brazilians to make financial plans, to talk about money, especially when it involves children. The absence of the basic notion of money can disrupt the child's financial life for the rest of his or her life. She may graduate from being an excellent professional, making a lot of money, but not being able to manage her financial life, because in her cradle that information was not transmitted. Therefore, one of our responsibilities as educators and parents is to leave a healthy legacy to our children regarding the subject of finance. For this to happen, we must first learn and practice this knowledge daily in our lives, giving them examples of living worthily today, so that future generations will be reached in this practice. However, this change is not easy because we live in a country, whose culture is not based on the fundamentals of the necessary consumption, but on the ideology of consumerism, which is a forged mental habit that has become one of the most remarkable cultural characteristics of present-day society. This has brought about a disturbance in people's way of acting, that is, the act of consumption loses its fundamental characteristic, which is to supply basic necessities, and becomes a matter of power and conquest. Today, everyone who is impacted by the mass media is encouraged to consume in an inconsequential way mainly the children's audience, since they are more vulnerable. In this sense, child consumerism is an urgent matter, of extreme importance and general interest. If we continue to do so with our children we will be teaching them to pass on horror and shame. Perhaps this is why we are still considered financially illiterate because we do not know how to deal with money. We need to broaden the contribution of financial education by using it to draw people's attention to the importance of their day-to-day decisions, both for their own future and current well-being, and for the sustainability of society and the environment. This issue is intimately related to the essence of the sustainable use of money today, so it makes sense to provoke people's reflection on the real motives that lead them to understand this sustainable practice related to personal well-being, Family and community, which is fundamental to each of us.
