Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) As Casas Bahia não entrarão no Amapá. Consumo, política e intersubjetividade(Universidade Estadual Paulista, 2013-08) CASTRO, Fábio Fonseca deAn unusual subject appeared in the 2010 election campaign in the brazilian state of Amapá: the rumor that, if the candidate Lucas Barreto (PTB) was elected governor, his deputy governor, Jaime Nunes, entrepreneur owner of the largest group of local retail stores Domestilar, will mobilize political conditions to prevent the arriving of new retail groups in the state, particularly the "Casas Bahia", a powerful Brazilian network of retail stores. Bombarded by advertising this group, which is aired on national television, the population converted this subject into a political issue. The article seeks to understand how consumer desire, with its political dimension, is an intersubjective phenomenon in a mediatized society.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) O cuidado de si em Michel Foucault: um dispositivo de problematização do político no contemporâneo(Universidade Federal Fluminense, 2018-08) GOMES, Marcel Maia de Oliveira; FERRERI, Marcelo de Almeida; LEMOS, Flávia Cristina SilveiraThis article aims to discuss care oneself by Michel Foucault in his studies about the greco-roman civilization, analyzing how care practices to oneself and to others – when articulated the ethics dimension and practices of freedom – conduct to a questioning politics, in what concern about government of others. On the other hand, Foucault’s writings also relate care oneself to an active stance (ethical-political) the subject, consisting, therefore, a possibility of resistance to biopower – commonly linked to control technologies and monitoring of subjects. As bibliographic references this article uses of volumes the History of Sexuality, linking them to courses The hermeneutics of the subject and The government of self and others, taught by Foucault at the Collège de France, as well as some his relevant interviews and analysis from commenters.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Educação para o empoderamento: uma agenda para a igualdade de gênero na política em Abaetetuba-Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-06) DÁCIO, Ígora Irma SantosThis work is about the female political trajectory in the city of Abaetetuba-PA; the objective is to analyze the performance of women in the political field and to show education as a way of empowerment both to expand women's insertion in the political career and to gender equality in politics. The theoretical reference contains multiple authors that promotes the discussion about Gender Studies, where I counted with Beauvoir (1970), Alves & Pitanguy (1985), Bourdieu (2002), Badinter (1991), Perrot (1998) and Facio (2006); for the theoretical discussion about the feminine presence in the political field, I brought Álvares (2014), Freire (1987), Silva (1999) and Silva, Ramos & Rodrigues (2013) for the debate on education and curriculum. I have used the qualitative research assumptions, I conducted interviews with 4 women who hold-held political office in the city. The results indicate that female participation in politics in Abaetetuba is timid due to the lack of supervision by political parties that do not comply with the Quotas Law, by the still strong gender culture that keeps Women in private space, and by the limitation in school education that does not educate Women for the exercise of full citizenship. I conclude that empowerment is a possible training and action strategy through the school curriculum as it implements knowledge about women's struggles and resistance so that they can recognize the importance of taking their place in political decision-making spaces and fight for gender equality in society.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estética e Política nas Cartas de Friedrich Schiller(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-11-26) SOUSA, Alcione Santos de; CORÔA, Pedro Paulo da Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3785172545288511The purpose of our research is to analyze the combination of the elements of aesthetics and the elements that are proper to morals or politics, as this is done by Friedrich Schiller in his Letters on aesthetics, translated in Brazil, in a more recent version as: The Aesthetic education of man in a series of letters. In order to realize our intention, we will initially make an exhibition trying to show how we can recognize in the philosophical tradition the concern with this type of theme, which makes us go back to the Greeks. In this way, it is with the tragedyographers that we recognize the association of tragedy with polis, in a horizon that links art and politics as the founder of the moral formation of the Greek man, later promoting, in the Letters of Schiller, the debate about the condition of our knowledge in the field of aesthetics and morals. As we can see, when analyzing the question of compatibility or complementarity between the domains of art and moral (political), from the perspective of the author of the Letters, proposing that the reciprocity between the two impulses - the sensitive and the rational, is unified in the man. We will notice that this possibility is what makes Schiller propose the primacy of aesthetic education for a moral formation with a view to the most natural politics, or without leaps, of humanity. According to Schiller, it is up to aesthetic culture to promote the ennoblement of character, since the attempts of reason alone do not present such satisfactory results for modern man. What causes the formation of the aesthetic state, through which we can find the idea of perfect humanity - as it was once present among the Greeks. In such a way, the educated man, aesthetically, manages to overcome the condition of his nature, by the demand of reason, but without completely losing sight of it, since it only gives way to the moral law, as a kind of game between these two domains. Beauty as freedom in the phenomenon is what sustains and shows that morality is a symbol of good - according to nature - freedom. It is in this sense that the Schiller Letters are founded on the idea that beauty seeks to promote the agreement between reason and the sensitive, unified in man, and makes them a complete being, like their mixed nature. Thus, Schiller establishes a moral education for man initiated by the freedom of art, hence serving the political purpose.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os humildes peregrinos da civilização cristã: grupos letrados da cidade de Vigia de Nazareth – Grão Pará (1866-1883)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-06-29) SOEIRO, Antonio Igo Palheta; SARGES, Maria de Nazaré dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2076421409418420In the small town of Vigia de Nazareth in the Province of Grão-Pará in the final decades of the 19th century, a literate group of simple people who we call "humble pilgrims" aimed to accomplish a sociopolitical project, which was based on the development of education as a strategy to fight for rights. Led by the teachers Araújo Nunes, Vilhena Alves and Bertoldo Nunes, they created schools, literary, beneficent and theatrical entities and wrote periodicals, cultural practices that mediated the dreamed Christian civilization, molded from popular Catholicism and the appropriation and resignification of ideas of the civilizing movement in Brazil. The initiative of a new sociopolitical project clashed with the objectives of the other literate groups led by the economic elites in the cultural field of the city, in a social context of misery, illiteracy, and slavery that the group found ways to combat, seeking the formation of an educated individual, politically active and with a social conscience.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) “O mau exemplo vem de cima”: a corrupção nas eleições da província do Grão-Pará (1870-1881)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-08-27) LEITE, Gisele Mendes Camarço; RICCI, Magda Maria de Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4368326880097299The dissertation discusses corruption in the elections in the Province of Grão-Pará, in relation to the functioning of the electoral process in Brazil, highlighting how fraud occurred in the system. The work seeks to understand corruption in the political, social and economic context of the seventies and eighties of the 19th centuries, showing how the intense political-party disputes intensified debates and accusations. The aim is to contextualize the process of corruption within the electoral system and, according to the situation experienced in the years 1870-1881, within the Empire and the province, showing the existence of fraud and irregularities, as well as how nineteenth-century man viewed these acts and acted in the face of them, which required an analysis of the legislation in force and the Political Constitution of the Empire, with necessary considerations on citizenship, education and inequality. The methodology adopted was based on empirical research into newspapers, letters and reports by provincial presidents within the time frame of the work, located in the National Library, the National Library's Digital Hemeroteca, the Arthur Viana Library, as well as the University of Chicago's website, where the presidents' reports are digitized, in order to find information on political and governmental corruption. After analyzing and processing the sources collected, the discussion was synthesized, focusing on the electoral field, given the number of documents collected on corruption and fraud in elections. In this way, the aim of the study was achieved, which was to debate corruption in the electoral process, within the selected time frame, contextualizing the analysis with current social, political and economic issues, revealing a broader and more detailed understanding of Brazilian democracy and the political history of the province.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Nomes do possível: autêntica lembrança e estudo sequencial das políticas autonômicas no extremo norte do Uruguai(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-06) MORAES, Alex MartinsMy interlocutors of the sugarcane cutters popular movement of NorthernUruguay enunciated their political purposes by referring to a set of emblematic words that, according to them, point to the existence of an old-time ‘autonomy’ that could nowadays be actualized. This kind of perspective regarding the past belongs to the realm of ‘authentic memories’ (Walter Benjamin) and raise the hypothesis that a past event can be rediscovered in light of current concerns that make it an object of political attention. I verify this hypothesis through a ‘sequential analysis of politics’ (Sylvain Lazarus). I select some words that capture the attention of my interlocutors and then I immerse myself in the forms of consciousness that such words once held. Finally, I reflect on how a contemporary political process can give us access to an oldtime autonomic experience, exposing us to what Benjamin would call ‘crystallization in monad’ of the time of emancipation.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Políticas públicas de educação ambiental no estado do Pará: trinta anos de uma trajetória(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-09) FREITAS, Sandra Cristina SantiagoThis paper aims to analyze public policies of environmental education in the State of Pará, from 1980 to 2010; to point influences of national policies for environment and environmental education; and signalize some contributions from state policies of environmental education in the cities of Pará. We will start from the assumption that in the various moments in which Kafka appears in Arendt's works, it is to, somehow, elucidate the contemporary context of perplexity resulting from the rupture in tradition, therefore we intend to answer the following question: what is the depth of this reception of Kafka in Arendt's political thought, what is the meaning of his presence and the context in which he appears in the Arendt’s works? Since she sees in the writer a representative of the typification of the pariah, the exemplary pariah, as the man of goodwill, who, through his figure and his writings, thinks about the different faces and layers of contemporary fragmentation.Tese Acesso aberto (Open Access) As repercussões socioterritoriais da atividade de mineração no município de Barcarena estado do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-03-31) CHAGAS, Simone Franceska Pinheiro das; SILVA, João Márcio Palheta da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5356047514671129; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0354-4639: Our objective in this article is to analyze from the perspective of geography the debate that brings the New Mining Code (NCM). Our purpose is to critically reflect on the roleof mining within the Brazilian geographic space, where mining territories have different degrees of socio-environmental processes and conflicts. The central idea is to analyze the production model that exploits mineral resources on land use planning, and thus further instigatethe debate that has been made by society to think of another mining code, which in fact is sovereign and guarantees the Brazilian society the appropriation of wealth and the debate aboutwhat we want! What are our real interests? What does it mean to choose a type of economic exploitation that disregards society and its real interests? It implies the new mining code to interfere in the territories and impose a perverse deterritorialization on the interests of Braziliansociety, a savage territoriality. What is at stake in the new mining code by weakening the powerof the state to regulate mineral goods and to increase revenue, disregarding the real interests ofBrazilian society? These are essential issues in the debate about the use of territory, which we seek to analyze in this article.
