Aborto, sexualidade e direitos humanos em escritos do Judiciário
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) SOUZA, Estella Libardi de; BELTRÃO, Jane Felipe; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6647582671406048
Based on the fundamental principles provided by the Human Rights - equality, freedom and respect for human dignity – this paper discusses women's right to abortion. It examines how, in recent decades, the demand for the legalization of abortion was established as a right to abortion, especially by the feminist movement in the context of social struggles in Brazil, and how this right was inserted into the speech of Human Rights, from the theoretical formulation and normative construction of sexual and reproductive rights. Contextualizes the denial of women's right to abortion in the context of gender norms and regulations about sexuality. Discusses the possibility of recognition of this right by the Brazilian judiciary, by analyzing processes on abortion in Belém (PA) and judgments of the superior courts relating to claims for judicial authorization for termination of pregnancy in cases of severe fetal anomalies. The examination of the legal practice of abortion in Brazil reveals that the judiciary is a battlefield in which the right to abortion is still in dispute.

The behavior determination debate lasts since Antiquity, usually based in dichotomic arguments. Actual tendency of behavior determination comprehension points out to an interacionist perspective, analyzing genetic, biological and environmental influences combined over behavior. Many empirical researches have been developed to identify which factors are responsible for a specific behavior. Considering impossible to make a complete study of human behavior determinants, it was chosen to focus into a specific padron the homosexual behavior. Since Antiquity until nowadays, homosexual behavior determinants have been debated. Besides, this subject concerns to a large amount of people and reflects in important social issues. The present study had the purpose of analyzing which are the empiric evidences about homosexual behavior determination, through three stages: (1) historic evolution of the behavior determination, with emphasis on the methodologies applied; (2) presentation and discussion of the main research strategies about homosexual behavior determination, with emphasis on the critical analysis of data; (3) discussion of research implications and possible empirical follow-up. A bibliographic search was conducted, identifying six main research strings: hormonal measures, hormonal effects, genetic, cerebral functioning, animal models and environmental effects. Each research methodology and results were critically analyzed. Then, politics influence over research and the ethical consequences of data release were discussed; as existing data were organized into a proposal to understand the phenomena. It is expected to have contributed to a general description of the actual stage of homosexual behavior determinants as to a critical perspective over methodologies applied.

Sexuality is a classic theme, on the theme there are several studies with different theoretical perspectives. In this thesis, which is found between nonuniversalizing lines, it is present. It is argued that sexuality is thought of as a desiring machine, drawn by flexible, molecular and escape lines, which fissure the segments consolidated by the school machine, configuring leaks, resistance processes, as well as an aesthetic and a politics of existence, That in-between spaces of the school empower other ways of feeling and becoming. It is understood that desire is not lack, but production, creation, invention; Being crossed by social fields and processes of individuation. For the study, it is questioned, how do the bodies experience the sexualities in the inter-school space? The main objective of the study is to experiment with a mapping of sexualities in and between school spaces that enhance other modes of existences beyond identity forms. The study was inspired by the Philosophy of Difference of Deleuze and Guattari, taking them as creative intercessors of readings and thought. The philosophy of these authors is a trigger for ideas. Pragmatically this thesis part of encounters with persons, literature, images, narratives and with the scholar every day in it`s different movements (classrooms, recreation areas, scholar walls surroundings) on basic education institutions at Belem do Para, crossed by the sexuality theme. From those encounters/strengths, are made the sexuality cartography that cross and are crossed by affections. The cartography, being here understood as a procedure, or even, as a composition plan, that`s made by the openings, by intensity zones .Isn`t searched a script as priority that offers a straight path for the test; the cartography gets in a field of virtuosities, because the existing ways configure intensities and movements that are built by assemblages. It`s behaviors are on encounters/affections and it strengths. Those impose quality potency on movements, that are from heights (affections/encounters) and lengths (speed movements, slowness and rest). Open sexuality maps configure the imagegraphys and narrographys that fissure the scholar space putting sexualities as desiring bodies‟ movements. The text invites the readers to enter by the openings and make their own (de)compositions, making others possible vitalities in relation with the sexualities on the scholar under-space.

In 1983, in the city of Belém-PA, the death of a homosexual known as Klaus Keller took over the pages of the Pará press, a death that would be revisited throughout the 80s. This narrative would be exposed in the pages of newspapers during the period of the "second wave" of the Brazilian homosexual movement and in the context of the process of re-democratization of the Brazilian state, after the Civil-Military Dictatorship (1964-1985). This led to a more critical press, with judgments condemning the actions of the police in the case, as well as explicit judgments about the victim's sexuality. However, on the other hand, there was a demand for the case to be solved, considering that Klaus was a homosexual of explicit sexuality and well-known in Belém. The Província do Pará, O Liberal and Diário do Pará were the main press outlets in Pará that wrote his story. In order to understand this publication, I used the concepts of popular and/or sensationalist press, both to understand the ways in which they disseminated news and the way in which they sold it. In addition, it was noted that this story could lead to a debate on bio-politics and necropolitics, considering state control and micro-powers over the sexual and racial identities present in the narratives. That said, this dissertation started from the present by traveling to the past, and found similar ends there. In other words, the deaths of homosexuals in the present turned out to be similar. In other words, the deaths of homosexuals in the present were similar to those in the past. In this work with press sources, it was found that the discourse has changed little, and the murders as well.

The analysis of the discourse present in these documents was performed so that the process of objectification and subjectification of young people can be understood. The research will support Foucault's writings. The methodological procedure used in the research was bibliographic research / reading for analysis of pastoral discourse, contained in pastoral documents.

Delegacia e Defensoria Pública no combate à homofobia em Belém do Pará
(Universidade de Santa Cruz do Sul, 2011-12) NASCIMENTO, Lázaro Castro Silva; PIMENTEL, Adelma do Socorro Gonçalves
In 2009, in Brazil, have been reported 195 assassinations by homophobia. Of this total, 20 have been reported in north side of the country. This index leads the discussion about the effects of homophobia in Belem of Para. Therefore, we tried to identify what institutions watch over the expected public polices to tackle this kind of violence and what is the understanding by the heads of these institutions about this phenomenon. The Delegacy of Combat to the Discrimination Crimes and the Public Defender’s Office through the Human Being Nucleus were the two researched institutions of Belem. This is an exploratory research in which has been used a qualitative methodology of data collection: bibliographical examination, observation, and semi structured interviews. We detected with the results that: the discussion about homophobia has grown and shown to be increasingly present in the society; the law project which aims to combat homophobia is an important public policy in development. We conclude that the discrimination and the prejudice against sexual orientation pass trough explicit violent acts and hidden acts, for instance, to not witness the seen aggression. The homoerotic sexual orientation still being marginal for escape of the heteronormative standard. In Belem, add to that, there is no space for the full and free experience of living the sexuality without prejudices, which instigates further researches into this topic.

The movie theaters from streets were one of the main places of leisure among belenenses during the 20th century. Around this practice were fundamental elements for its realization, such as the production of films, distribution, exhibition, advertising, the commentary of the specialized critic in the newspapers and the search of the public. All these elements formed a movie show circuit that the city of Belém experienced for most of that century. Although it was always subject to change, the circuit altered significantly in the 1980s, when street’s movie theaters went through a phase of decay and some closed. The owners of Cine Ópera, Cine Nazaré, Cine Iracema, Cinema Dois and Cine Cassino, chose to show pornographic movies, material that had already been produced at an industrial pace in the US since the 1970s, but took a while to enter Brazil due to the dictatorial censorship. Therefore, the trajectory of the public interested on these films determined the dimensions of a new movie show circuit specialized in porn exhibition between 1985 and 1997. It is important to stress that the new circuit existed in parallel to the conventional and decaying display circuit. Our guiding question sought to understand what would have been the conditions that allowed and made possible the existence of this porn circuit. The results of the research in periodic and oral sources, pointed to the weakening of the institutions linked to censorship, the end of the dictatorship, the economic crisis of the 1980s, the massive entry of soft and hard core porn movies in the country, the expectation of profit of exhibitors, the public's curiosities (carnal knowledge) and sexual opportunities, in addition to a moral tolerance within society, as fundamental fact for its consolidation.

Do “sujeito de desejo” ao “sujeito do desejo”: Foucault leitor de Santo Agostinho
(Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, 2019-04) CHAVES, Ernani Pinheiro
This article intends to demonstrate the strategic importance of Foucault’s readings of Saint Augustine. Said importance is inscribed within Foucault’s project of writing a “genealogy of the subject of desire”, aiming at the understanding of the reasons why the concept of “de sire” started to play such a central role within the topic of sexuality, in such a way that be tween subject, desire, sexuality, and truth, a necessary and indissoluble bond seemed to be established. In this perspective, we understand that such a genealogy of the subject of desire demands that we critically rethink the history of psychoanalysis, especially in its Freudian Lacanian version, the only for the which, in fact, he was interested with more frequency.

(Centro Latino-Americano em Sexualidade e Direitos Humanos, 2017-04) REIS, Ramon Pereira dos; SILVA FILHO, Mílton Ribeiro da
This paper proposes an analysis, based on interviews conducted in the project “‘To enter into a world that is not mine’: sexual initiation in interviews with poor young people and middle classes in the city of Belém (Pará), Brazil”. It analyzed the “sexual scripts” of young women and men (heterosexual and homosexual), residing in “central” and “peripheric” areas in Belém, the capital of Pará, Brazil. Our locus of research was the institution Casa do Estudante Universitário do Pará (CEUP), with locations in a middle class/upper middle class neighborhood, and in the Guamá suburb, a “periphery” of Belém. We emphasize the significant role of families of origin in the reproduction of social and sexual conduct, and the different ways interviewees manage sexual initiation according to beliefs and imaginaries situated at the intersection of gender, sexuality and race/color.

This article is a cut of the research that problematized with the theoreticalmethodological assistance of some concepts of Michel Foucault the constitution of the device of sexuality as a strategic element of youthful government in the contemporaneity and its articulation to the tactics of publicprivate partnerships diagrammed in the Vale Program Youth, which is one of the actions of the Vale Foundation, linked to Vale. The Vale Foundation developed the Vale Program Youth in the 2007-2012 period, promoting the training of young people on issues of sexuality. From a perspective of programmatic governmentality, the affective-sexual dimension is inserted by the Vale Program Youth into an economic arrangement so that the education / training of young people is economically advantageous and politically useful for Vale, the Vale Foundation, the Alliance Institute, the Prefectures And its secretariats and other partner agencies in the development of the Program, since governmentality has unblocked the concept of population and economy as government

“Eles [os/as discentes] sempre gostam, têm muita expectativa, ficam ansiosos pra ter logo a disciplina”: as possibilidades e os impasses com o ensino da sexualidade na escola
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12) AZEVEDO, Suse Mayre Martins Moreira
In times of hate speech and persistent retaliation for working with sexuality in education, this article analyzes the potentialities and the impasses of approaching this issue in the school space. The research is anchored in the post-critical referents and was developed in municipal schools of Jequié-BA that present the discipline Education for Sexuality in the curricular matrix of the final years of elementary school. For the production and analysis of data, we conducted semistructured interviews with eleven teachers who teach the discipline. The existence of a curricular component destined to the teaching of sexuality guarantees a place for the discussions distancing themselves from the discontinuous and punctual actions, besides that, there is an involvement of the students with the discipline, giving opportunities for dialogue, including themes such as gender and sexual diversity. However, there is the risk of imprisoning the debates about sexuality in this space, disowning the other teachers in working with the theme.

What are the subjectivities constructed in discourses about sexuality? What are the existing conditions from discourses that proliferate this sexuality? Such questions emerged and constructed the basis of this research, whose tension and transgression lines are the connecting threads that integrate a drama related to the sexuality of the "good christian". To exposure the sexuality in the confessional schools, we focus on a dynamic inventive character that moves the analysis of empirical materials selected to integrate the corpus of this research. Inspired and nuanced with the keen senses by Michel Foucault's thought, these materials speak and describe what they had seen, heard and felt in a Confessional School spaces. Based on distinct personalities, these characters are proficient in demonstrates the processes of subjectivation of the "good christian", being it a teacher or student, as well as the incidents lived within a space in which the sexuality is situated between the obedience and transgression. Among the characters, the Schizophrenic School begins a discussion with its madness, alternating between lucidity moments and hallucination, without being able to perceive when it is in another mode. In this context, the schizophrenic school decides to put the other characters on their divan, especially in confession way. Therefore, each character tells how it was crossed/affected by the sexuality that used to circulate there. It mobilizes a central question on this investigation, which is: How works the sexuality device in a Confessional School? We support the following idea based on the confessions analysis: The production of subjectivity on the "good christian” is tied to the control and management of sexuality. On this line, sexuality opens up possibilities paths for an invention and creation to live new ways. This is how the characters who inhabit the Confessional School dared to create a space "in between" on the middle. Furthermore, they resisted, invented and lived their sexuality, thus breaking the inertia and paralysis to remaining on "good christian" position. They chose to live their sexuality in a resistance way, instead of rehearsing obedience to the regulatory norms established on this Confessional School. Then, between is where everything escapes, in which sexuality transgression has not been formatted, sighing for freedom in life that experiences.

The dissertation discusses the representations of human aging in Belém do Pará in the first decades of the 20th century through the analysis of texts present in magazines illustrated illustrations that circulated in the capital of Pará, such as “A Semana”, “Belém Nova”, “Pará-Doctor". Accordingly, the debates sought to understand how the process of aging could be interpreted and experienced by the historical subjects of belenense period on screen. It is understood that, due to numerous social inequalities, there was a universe of many disputes related to the meanings given to aging, after all, being old would sometimes mean admiration and respect, sometimes misfortune and rejection, it all depended on the position occupied by those who spoke and those who were the target of the speech. As part of these arrangements, stigmas related to the body, health and sexual fitness; However, these interpretative sets spoke of their own idealizations around a young, modern and developed Brazilian society, at the same time, indicated processes of exclusion compared to what was desired, mainly due to the discursive core intellectual, at the center of which the arguments focused on the “action of time on bodies humans” were heavily produced.

ERICA: sexual initiation and contraception in Brazilian adolescents
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-02) BORGES, Ana Luiza Vilela; FUJIMORI, Elizabeth; KUSCHNIR, Maria Cristina Caetano; CHOFAKIAN, Christiane Borges do Nascimento; MORAES, Ana Júlia Pantoja de; AZEVEDO, George Dantas de; SANTOS, Karine Ferreira dos; VASCONCELLOS, Mauricio Teixeira Leite de
OBJECTIVE: To estimate the prevalence of sexual initiation and contraceptive use at the last sexual intercourse of Brazilian adolescents, according to sociodemographic features. METHODS: The data were obtained from the Study of Cardiovascular Risks in Adolescents (ERICA), a national school-based cross-sectional study. We included 74,589 adolescents from 32 geographic strata (27 capitals and five sets of municipalities with more than 100,000 inhabitants of each of the five macro-regions of the Country). Information on sexual initiation and contraceptive use at the last sexual intercourse (male condom and oral contraceptive pill) has been used. We have estimated prevalence and confidence intervals (95%CI) considering sample weights according to sex, age, type of school, residence status, macro-region and capitals. RESULTS: We observed that 28.1% (95%CI 27.0-29.2) of the adolescents had already initiated sexual life, with higher prevalence among those aged 17 years (56.4%, 95%CI 53.9-58.9), males (33.5%, 95%CI 31.8-35.2), studying at public schools (29.9%, 95%CI 28.5-31.4), and from the Northern region (33.9%, 95%CI 32.3-35.4), mainly from Macapa, Manaus, and Rio Branco. Among those who had started their sexual life, 82.3% (95%CI 81.1-83.4) reported the use of contraceptive methods at the last intercourse, and the prevalence of use was higher among adolescents aged 17 years (85.3%, 95%CI 82.7-87.6), females (85.2%, 95%CI 83.8-86.5) and those living in the Southern region (85.9%, 95%CI 82.9-88.5). Male condom was used by 68.8% (95%CI 66.9-70.7), with no difference by type of school or macro-regions; the contraceptive pill was used by 13.4% (CI95% 12.2-14.6), and more frequently used among women (24.7%, 95%CI 22.5-27,0) and 17-year-old adolescents (20.8%, 95%CI 18.2-23.6) from urban settings(13.7%, 95%CI 12.5-14.9) and from the Southern region (22.6%, 95%CI 19.0-26.8), and less often in the Northern region. CONCLUSIONS: ERICA’s data analysis on sexuality and contraception shows heterogeneities in the prevalence of sexual initiation and use of contraceptive methods among Brazilian adolescents, depending on their age, where they live, and the type of school they study at. Younger adolescents and those living in the Northern region seem to be more vulnerable to the consequences of unprotected sexual intercourses. descriptors: Adolescent. Sexual Behavior. Contraception. Estudo psicanalítico sobre a feminização da epidemia do HIV/AIDS com usuários do Hospital Universitário João de Barros Barreto
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-09-12) LEBREGO, Arina Marques; MOREIRA, Ana Cleide Guedes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9245673017553186
This study aimed to investigate the processes of subjectivation of women having no steady partners and their exposition to HIV/AIDS in order to identify overdetermination factors of vulnerability. As method, we used a case study, aiming at a in-depth analysis which allowed the identification of a greater number of subjective determinants related to the problem considered. The study presents fragments of clinical cases of women living with AIDS, hospitalized in the wards of the João de Barros Barreto University Hospital (HUJBB) in the State of Pará, Brazil. Based on the analysis of transference and countertransference, we showed as results what each case, in its singularity, reveals from the therapeutic encounter. In clinical case I, we found that the patient, whom we called Dinah, had a female masochistic mode of psychopathological subjectivation, what caused her to show some satisfaction when exposed to suffering, and to position herself as a victim in her emotional and sexual relationships. Those relationships were overdetermined by a imaginary identification with cultural ideals about the woman human being, conceiving images of men and women, and therefore of herself and her partners, as antithetical pairs of strength/weakness, active/passive, power/submission. This ideal of composite person of a virgin woman and a man only, caused Dinah to deny her fears of contamination, and to passively accept unprotected sexual relations, leaving the sexual initiative to her partner, and, thereby, becoming vulnerable to HIV infection. In clinical case II, Alice, which has a melancholic, self-destructive mode of subjectivation, positioned herself in her emotional and sexual relationships by incessantly searching for her self-destruction through an unconscious vulnerability to HIV. Having contracted AIDS and infected her husband and other partners, even after knowing her diagnosis, Alice remained trapped in a deadly silence, and prevented herd]self from taking care of her health and seeking continuous medical care, making herself vulnerable to re-infection. In clinical Case III, Ana Laura, is a woman who has gone through violence several times since childhood, for instance, she underwent child sexual abuse, was exploited as a domestic worker, was abandoned by her parents. After having her first baby, the child was taken from her without her consent by a maternal aunt who gave her to others. Ana Laura used that as a reason to prostitute herself on quay of Belém Port, where she worked until she was hospitalized. That was where negotiation for more expensive unprotected sex was a common practice, and so Ana Laura negotiated her life, selling unprotected sex and ended up getting infected by HIV. The helplessness and the violence that this patient went through are therefore the overdetermination factors of her vulnerability to HIV infection. As conclusions, we highlight that the women looked after without steady partners, did not care to protect themselves, and are not in accordance with the studies showing that those women negotiate the use of condom more freely and are less vulnerable to HIV. This demonstrates the importance of studies addressing the psychic, social, political and cultural aspects, so as to reveal the modes of production of subjectivity of the subjects in their singularity, beyond data measurement, in order to establish strategies for more effective health prevention.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) GONÇALVES, Telma Amaral; MOTTA-MAUÉS, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861116876230464
This study has as its focus the discourses about love and loving practices experienced by dyads that constitute two partnerships in specific universes – the heterossexual and homossexual, both belonging to the urban middle classes. He falls in the field of more recent studies on the gender approach focusing on the new settings that affective and sexual relationships have assumed nowadays. In this sense, my interest about that subject was to investigate the discourse of partnership affairs, the idea of love (this love) and his expression in daily life which enabled me to identify its different versions and translations, as well as the approximations, defferences and ambiguities in the discourse and practice of love.
