The construction of hydroelectric power plants causes a process of deterritorialization and reterritorialization of traditional communities. This work aims to analyse the construction of the riverside territory, i.e., the ways used to reconstruct living in a destroying environment, post-installation of CHE Belo Monte. Therefore, a case study was carried out in the locality of Palhal, on the banks of the main reservoir, in the municipality of Altamira, in Pará, using participant observation and interviews. Riverside families have been through a violent process of compulsory displacement, full of human rights violations. Thus, the families were looking for ways to denounce and to recover the traditional way of life and that starts a movement which culminated in the creation of the riverside territory. The beginning of construction of the new territory has been marked, mainly, by the new attribution of meanings to the space; by the updates of traditional knowledge to appropriate the new environment; by the for the reconstruction of parentage networks and reciprocity; and by the use of moral values to regulate access to the scarce natural resources.

As Cadeias de valor alimentar inclusivas e sustentáveis do açaí e do peixe: o caso de Abaetetuba, PA
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-01-15) SALGADO, Mayany Soares; SANTANA, Antônio Cordeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2532279040491194; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4324-9178
The inclusive and sustainable food value chains of assai and fish are activities that generate income, employment, foreign exchange, with exports to Brazilian and international markets, as well as being fundamental to supplying the local market and preserving the natural stocks of assai trees in floodplains and fish in regional rivers in the territory of influence of the city of Abaetetuba. Due to the importance of these products in functional food, demand has been growing faster than supply, causing pressure on the stocks of these natural assets and generating environmental externalities in all links of these chains. In this context, the general objective of the thesis was to analyze the configuration of the assai fruit and fish value chains and the interaction between extractivism and the consumer market, taking into account the agents that act and define the peasant territoriality of the municipality of Abaetetuba. The methodology includes descriptive and interpretive analyses of the literature review and of the primary and secondary data collected. The field research, for the collection of primary data, contemplated the qualitative approach, with the use of the in-depth interview technique, aiming to capture the dynamics of the riverside peasants in their survival, based on the exploitation of natural resource stocks, and the quantitative approach, from the application of questionnaires, for the analysis of market information, via specification of consumer demands for assai and fish. The representative sample included 342 interviewees, with a confidence level of 95% and a sampling error of 5.4%. The results showed the lack of commitment of the agents that operate in the processing and marketing links of the products with the preservation of the floodplain in Abaetetetubense, due to their lack of knowledge and experience of the dynamics and preservation needs of the natural ecosystems of the floodplains, and because they only aim at short-term economic results. Consumers of fish and assai extractivism on the islands of Abaetetuba are willing to pay R$ 58.20 and R$ 98.74 per family per month to maintain the preservation of natural stocks of assai and fish, in order to ensure market supply and provide families with a healthy food consumption pattern of 43.12 l of assai and 30.27 kg of fish, respectively. It is concluded that the riverside territoriality, composed of peasants and local intermediaries, showed a high conception of the importance of the environment, related to its existence in the floodplain, from the practice of fishing and assai extraction carried out with the use of techniques of sustainable bases and by the family unit, which provided greater scope for the inclusion of this link in the chain. The main contribution of this thesis was to show the interconnected configuration of the economic, social and environmental dimensions of the assai and fish chains, from significant results, to potentiate local development, from the stimulation of social organization and vertical integration of the production of riverside peasants with the agroindustry of functional foods in the territory of Abaetetuba.

Do território recurso ao território abrigo: modo de vida e o processo de valorização do açaí no município de Cametá-PA
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-06) CORRÊA, Rosivanderson Baia; NAHUM, João Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9009465125001273
In the present work, we approach the valuation process of the açaí in the municipality of Cametá. Thus, two islands – Cacoal and Cuxipiarí – which live on the açaí extraction were used as a territorial delimitation. And on those islands, there are four riverine communities. The main aim of this research is to investigate how the expansion and valuation process of the açaí happens in the foreign market in the way of life of the riverine communities of the municipality of Cametá; and what has changed as regards the society, economy, and culture in the life of those communities which extract the açaí – their main working activity. We search for identifying the use of the territory as resource and shelter, used by the riverine communities, and by social actors such as cooperative and processing company of the açaí. The methodology used was that of the application of semi-estructured questionnaires and interviews with MP4, as well as the analysis of several official documents and institutional reports. The period considered was from the 1990’s because at that moment the açaí gains a broader acceptance in the foreign market and intensifies its commercialization process.

Analyze how the city of Belém, as a subjective territory, crosses directly or indirectly the identity processes of Drags Demônias, the cultural group studied here, was the main objective of the research entitled EKOAOVERÁ: A Study on Territoriality in the Identity Processes of Drags Demônias. For that, a bibliographic study was made about the montação with a great emphasis on the theorists Roger Baker and Carlos Figari, followed by a conceptual survey and a review of terms that speak with the montação, including the studies of Judith Butler, Berenice Bento, Anna Paula Vencato among others. To deepen the research, the montação was studied as a method of body alteration based on the study of Renata Kamla on Contemporary Masking. The methodological action was based on interviews with twenty - three artists from the cultural segment, through a structured interview proposal by Maria Cecília Minayo. To finalize the methodological procedure, the data were crossed by the ethnomethodology approach, resulting in crossings of three instances of analysis: personalities, concepts and territorialities. The final analysis confirms the hypothesis that territoriality is directly related to these identity constructions.

Espaço e tempo da territorialidade festiva do Sairé na Amazônia e as expressões do sagrado em Alter do Chão/PA
(Universidade Estadual Paulista, 2017-08-17) COSTA, Maria Augusta Freitas; GOES, Eda Maria; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2286311661430306
We analyze in this work the constitution of a festive amazonian territoriality instantiated as a religious cultural creation with prominence in the context of the portuguese Amazon: the Sairé's Feast. In the contemporary brazilian Amazon, the festive materiality of the Sairé is only takes place in the village of Alter do Chão, in the municipality of Santarém, where it is characterized as an important element of the tourist economic production, articulated to the regional festivals with emphasis on “Disputas” between dances and dramatizations presented in arenas. This context raises questions about the essence of the religious tradition of the feast and its expression of the sacred, linked to the processions and prayers, with foliations and litanies, which were inherited from the Catholicism linked to and by the Borari indigenous group, as well as the alleged profanity of dances and dramatizations within the Sairé's Feast. To understand these configurations in the Sairé's Feast, we analyze the space-time becoming of this festive territoriality, its processes of machinic assemblages and inclusive disjunctions in a move between horizontalities and multitransescalares spatial verticalities, which are in intrinsic correlation with the production of collective subjectivities and their prospects of meaning to the configuration of social actors entangled in projects of world action/objectification and their coextensive transtemporality. In order to carry out this research, we used the pressupositions of the discourse analysis, oral history, “perspectivist shift” and the descriptive model of spatioterritorial morphology, in order to treat, systematize and analyze documentary data; classical works of missionaries, travelers and chroniclers; non-scientific journals; directed observation producing descriptive notes; free interviews with residents and visitors of Alter do Chão; and oral reports of the organizers and participants of the feast. The results demonstrate a continuous movement of deterritorializing territorializations processes of the Sairé's Feast, which instantiates its territoriality as a fold of existentialist resistance of the Amerindian groups in the portuguese and brazilian Amazonia, surrounded by the inventiveness of the collective subjectivities entangled by the feast/festivity as an expression of the sacred in the region and its webs and tessituras of festive solidarity between the Amazonian localities where dancing and praying were constituted as languages of the sacred that shelters the mythological festive religiosity of cosmic integrity and creative chaos. What highlights the mixture, the depredation and the capture of otherness as elements of the becoming of a project of humanity in coevolution with the environment and their ways of being and living as divinity for the transcendence in immanence. And this appears trans-subjectivated and transtemporalized in the Sairé's Feast “of Alter”, in which all means of exalting “everything that generates life” to the “gift of life” is used, so its festive territoriality imposes profound knowledge of the place that merges language and territory into an expression of sacred entangled by a subjective-expressive-affective logic that gives meaning to solidarity projects in which work-energy-information are processed, inextricably, between productive logic and existential creative sense.

The use of crack and/or similar drugs has shown new developments in the problem of drugs, due to its great visibility in public spaces in several Brazilian cities. The present work aims to understand the sense of microterritoriality of people who use crack and/or similar in the public space of the Historic Center of Belém (CHB), aiming to compose a presentation of the subjects involved in the constitution of the scenes of drug use, a description of its forms of sociability, as well as the affections and tensions surrounding its practices, the typifications and images that configure placeness and territorialities, from a case study with inspirations from existential phenomenology and ethnography, involving several procedures: bibliographic review, fieldwork, composing diary notes, and in-depth interviews. Throughout the research we identified that the subjects that integrate the scenes of crack and/or similar use in the public space are immersed in contexts of vulnerability and disaffiliation, where the problematic use of such substances and family tensions catalyze impulses to the street, an evasion home. Faced with such circumstances, their placeness are characterized by a shuffling of topophilic and topophobic images, adding to the fleeting euphoria of the drug, with a resentment around its use. Microterritoriality, on the other hand, is evidenced by the encounter between subjects who establish harmful uses of the drug, in the process of “exile”, or in homeless situation, aiming to compose spaces where they can establish their practices, intersubjective convergences, with the use of limited typification systems. Thus, the person who uses crack and/or the like presents a spatial peculiarity in their disaffiliation, since not only are they detached from their family, social and economic realities, there is a dismemberment of their own existential space.

The territorial reorganization from demographics aspects is the focus of this research, which has as reference the Para Northeast region, particularly a neighboring region of Moju, Acará and Tailândia municipalities. In this locality predominates the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) monoculture, an element that sets a factor of attraction for migrants. These migrants, in the large majority, are linked to the major project activity, and concomitant with it, dispute the space and resources existing in it. This power struggle is a factor that induces the creation of new administrative units in the country, a situation that occurs since the 1940s, in the last century. Over the years, the state of Pará underwent a profound reconfiguration of its territory. It jumped from 53 to 144 municipalities. The research investigates the spatial reorganization processes of this population, fostered by the oil palm culture in the Lower Tocantins Region in the northeast of Pará and its effects on the boundaries review of the Moju, Acará and Thailand municipalities. For that, it was made a review of the debate of territory category, a review of legislative aspects and a characterization of the area and population dynamics.

This work proposes to analyze the process of transformation that has been developing along the urban riverfront of the municipality of Abaetetuba/PA, occupations in the Amazonian landscape, in areas protected by the course of tides and riparian forests in areas that should be protected. These occupations constitute areas of vulnerability, where the risks are present in the houses built in areas of water courses, in areas of erosive soil, in a caused way and without protection infrastructure, a fact that culminated in a disaster that occurred in 2014 in the São João neighborhood: a landfill collapse destroyed 13 (thirteen) houses and, as a result, 51 (fifty one) families were supported by the disaster. In a similar way, this occupation process also affected other areas of the riverside, mainly the commercial side, which I call here the encompassing center, as it is a historic neighborhood with economic and cultural potential, where one of the largest open-air fairs in the region. I followed this accident while working at the Municipal Civil Defense Coordination, and I was able to see firsthand the suffering of people who had losses of all kinds, and who were no longer able to return to their homes. This fact motivated me to question how to rearrange risk areas in already consolidated urban spaces, in order to prevent new disasters from occurring. The risk scenario takes place in Abaetetuba, in areas of different land uses and occupations, areas of social vulnerability, environmental protection, commercial flow, concentration of urban equipment and an area of historical memory. In this way, I analyze the process of transformation of the riverside neighborhoods of Abaetetuba as the formation of risk areas for the development of a proposal and planning that considers the risks and vulnerabilities present in these territories. Based on the research results, it was found that, despite the history of disasters in these places, the existing urban structure and the lack of a risk management plan that protects the riverfront contributed to the risk scenario that is presented. In this way, it is necessary to take into account the possibilities of public intervention based on improvements in existing planning instruments and the elaboration of new ones, which include the diagnosis of the areas, monitoring and a differentiated treatment for the risk areas in which the population participates. of the process. The research was carried out through data collection and application of semi-structured questionnaires with public sector agents and civil society to enable a more efficient planning proposal. The research was conceived in a multidisciplinary analysis in which contributions from municipal plans and scholars from the areas of geography, environment, social sciences and urban policy are articulated.

In this work, we investigate the territorialities of the cell phone telephone mobile companies that operate in the State of Pará. These companies are Vivo, Tim, Amazônia Celular and Oi. In pursuing this purpose, we trace a theoretical rout that deal with two categories of analysis: the network and the territory, both marked by two other derived concepts: the territoriality and what we call circuits of power. Our corpus is composed by some information collected in the cell phone telephone mobile companies placed in Pará and the official data from Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL), more specifically, the national list of Radiobase Stations (2007). The methodology that we adopt consists of the collect of secondary data as well as the elaboration of maps, graphs and pictures based on the reality of Pará State. These factors are analyzed in order to define the scene of the competition, the circuits of power and the privileged areas. We verified that the cell phone telephone mobile companies use the territory as a market segment, putting the citizen in the same status of a consumer. The companies select its areas of performance based on economic criteria, privileging the areas of higher attractive for the accumulation of the capitals and, also, the localities managed by big economic groups, as the Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD).

The research aims to analyze the environmental conflicts arising from the expansion of oil palm cultivation and the demarcation/titling of quilombola territories in the Pará Amazon. Despite advances in public policy on the environment and territorial planning, implemented based on guaranteeing the constitutional right to quilombo remnants, with the State of Pará preceding all others in recognizing the first quilombo in Brazil, in 1995, the study observed the decrease in the issuance of titles after the approval of the ecological-economic zoning for oil palm, starting in 2010.
