Etnoconhecimentos sobre animais de pescadores artesanais na Amazônia costeira paraense
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-03) SANTOS, Claudia Nunes
The fauna diversity, as well as the human diversity, in Amazon has been studied by several specialists in search of understanding the life and evolution of this system. To overcome the limits of interpretations produced, besides using different tools, techniques and approaches from different scientific disciplines, it is necessary to consider the subjectivities pertaining to this complex. Local, traditional, or ethnoknowledge of different peoples and communities broadens the view on the socio-biodiversity. One effort that guide Ethnobiology is the break with a way of do research that separates society and nature, as well as the understanding that knowledge is built in the relationship between people researched and who research. Here, I present some conservationist inferences about interactions between fishermen with sea turtles and coastal birds. The surveys were carried out between 2015 and 2018, in six fishing communities in the municipalities of Bragança, Tracuateua and Salinópolis, in the state of Pará. The rich ethnozoologies and ethnotaxonomies of artisanal fishermen on local sea turtles and coastal birds, reveal a profound knowledge about these animals that are not of self-support or economic interest. Furthermore, fishermen's awareness of the importance of animals to ecosystems is an important ethnoknowledge for understanding human-animal relations, as well as for locally referenced preservation and management actions.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-08-31) NUNES, Diene do Espírito Santo; SABLAYROLLES, Maria das Graças Pires; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0250972497887101; KATO, Osvaldo Ryohei; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4241891652832872; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2422-9227
Agroforestry systems present themselves as powerful traditional land-use systems, which their adoption can contribute to the reduction of socioeconomic and environmental vulnerability in family farming. Thus, the presente work aimed to analyze the factors that lead to the adoption of Agroforestry Systems (SAFs) by family farmers in the floodplain, and firm ground areas in forest Menino Jesus community, in the municipality of Cametá-Pa. For this purpose, we used the case study method with a participatory approach, divided into two stages. In the first, it was used the participant observation and snowball technique, and in the second, a landscape analysis and the application of semi-structured questionnaires with 21 farmers. For the analysis of the collected data, graphs and tables, and the content analysis technique were used, which identified in the results the main factors that lead to the adoption of SAFs in the floodplain, and firm ground areas in the socioeconomic, socio-organizational, environmental, and cultural subcategories. In socioeconomic terms, the main factors were income generation and variety of production throughout the year. In sociorganizationals, land relations gender and exchanges and sharing of experiences external and internal to the community. In the environmental and cultural terms, it stood out as factores, the ecological benefits of the system, recovery of degraded áreas and the experiences derived from traditional background, and knowledge. The results also showed that the floodplain SAFs are managed from açaí groves, with native forest species, whereas the firm ground species arise from the extensions of the diversity, and logic of the agroforestry yards to the monoculture areas, in the recovery of degraded areas. The farming families that adopt SAFs have their origins in the municipality of Cametá, which demonstrates traditional agriculture. It was concluded that the main factor of adoption is the diversity of production throughout the year in the floodplain and firm ground areas, which provide food security and socioeconomic benefits to farmers. And these SAFs are adopted based on traditional knowledge and daily experiences of use and management of these environments, according to the needs of the productive and family establishment.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-10-28) SILVA, José Matheus Barata; FERNANDES, José Guilherme dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7023812449790431; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9946-4961
Handmade fishing in the North Brazilian Coast is one of the main economic activities of the region. This Study aims to analyze the techniques of estuary artisanal fishing from Vigia-PA, with an emphasis on transformations and reframing of artisanal fishing and the traditional knowledge of the local community. This study points to the main fishing gear used in the microregion of Salgado Paraense, and its importance to the local, regional and national scenario. Is considered the contribution of the artisanal fisherman’s traditional knowledge, through its readjustments to the territorial geography of the constantly changing place. It shows the importance of artisanal fishing, the implication of industrial fishing to the category and its tensions. Thus, it is proposed to include the knowledge of artisanal fishermen in public policies for fishing in the region, given their deep knowledge of the activity, in addition to allowing the approximation between academic knowledge and traditional knowledge, or know-how of local people. To this end, it was sought to carry out bibliographic surveys and theoretical research on the topic. From the methodology, 300 forms and semi-structured interviews were applied, discourse analysis, field research with local subjects, with questions regarding fishing, its transformations, permanences and perspectives. Ahead, tables, graphs and images were produced collaboratively, taking into account the notes of artisanal fishermen, their reflections, narratives, knowledge and perceptions about their own practice. Finally, some categories were essential for the research, such as: artisanal fishing, traditional knowledge, know-how and techniques. Some authors were fundamental, such as: Ramalho (2011, 2012, 2014), Diegues (1983, 1988, 2001, 2004), Cunha (1993, 2000, 2004), Furtado (1987, 1990, 2001) e Isaac (1998, 2003, 2006). In this way, the translation of the knowledge of the estuarine artisanal fishermen was sought as a way to help future proposals for studies and public policies for the micro-region of the Salgado Paraense.

The aim of this research is to promote reflections on participatory management in the Alcobaça Sustainable Development Reserve (RDS Alcobaça), a Conservation Unit (CU) in the sustainable use group, located in the municipalities of Tucuruí and Novo Repartimento, in the state of Pará. This is a highly relevant topic, as including communities in the decision-making process increases the possibility of success in fulfilling the fundamental objective of an RDS, which is to protect the livelihoods and culture of social groups, guaranteeing the sustainable use of natural resources. This research was based on a literature review focusing on participatory management, the theoretical and legal aspects of protected areas, especially RDSs, their governance structures and community participation. Data was collected as follows: semi structured interviews with managers, RDS residents and council representatives; technical visits to the communities; analysis of official documents such as laws, decrees, meeting minutes and the executive report of the Management Plan; and cartographic production. It became clear that the creation of a Conservation Unit, in this case the Alcobaça RDS, with all the legal apparatus and its management structure, does not guarantee the effectiveness of the participatory nature of the management process and that the major challenge to be faced in this process is the difficulty of obtaining the consistent involvement of the social actors in the stages ranging from the conception of ideas, planning and execution, to the monitoring and evaluation of the results. As a result, a booklet was produced, with content presented in a playful way, aimed at the residents of the RDS, with the aim of arousing their interest in participating actively in all stages of the process.

Saberes tradicionais a partir do jogo de búzios no Candomblé
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-24) LOPES, Daniel Sena; PARENTE, Francilene de Aguiar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9404017739145648; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2740-9343
This research is part of the study on Afro-religiosity with practitioners and participants of Candomblé in Abaetetuba/Pará. Its purpose is to analyze how the exchange of traditional knowledge takes place from the game of cowries in Candomblé. Methodologically, it is an autoethnography, a method that can be used in research and writing, as it proposes to systematically describe and analyze the personal experience, in order to understand the cultural experience (ELLIS, 2004). bibliographies on education, culture, resistance, orality, memory, identity and traditional knowledge in Afro-Brazilian religions, with theoretical support in: Little (2001); Cunha (2007); Brandão (2002); Freire (1987); Libâneo (2004); Lody (2007); Braga (1988); Beniste (2008) and others. Data were collected through online interviews through the Google Meet platform with research participants. The fieldwork sought support in the experiences of the Afro-religious community Igbá Asé Ibin Layé, popularly known as the Oshalufã Center for Mediumship Manifestations - CEMMO, in which the observant participant researcher is pai de santo, a term that suggests the preponderance of participation over observation. 10 (ten) subjects were interviewed, 4 (four) declared to be practitioners of the Afro Brazilian religion and 6 (six) participants. Of the 10 (ten) interlocutors, 4 (four) were selected, 2 (two) practitioners and 2 (two) participants for the deepening of the research, with a view to greater approximation with the object of investigation. The tabulation of queries processed in the period from 2010 to 2019 was carried out, gender, reason for the query and religious positioning were analyzed, to identify in this exchange of knowledge how the pedagogical process is developed from the ritual of the game of whelks. As a result of this research, it was found that: the object of study was not the terreiro, but what happens in the terreiro; terreiros are not frozen in the past; the pedagogical process within the terreiro is dynamic and transformative; the pedagogies in the Candomblé terreiros are configured in acts of resistance.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016) NASCIMENTO, Josinaldo Reis do; DIAS, Eliza de Cássia Sousa; SOUZA, Terezinha de Jesus Lima de; CARDOSO, Sergio Ricardo Pereira; BARBOZA, Roberta Sá Leitão
In Bragança, in coastal communities RESEX marine Caeté-Taperaçu, called village of fishermen and village of Boniface, ‘curral’ fishing is one of the main economic activities for these localities. The research investigated the ‘knowledge-doings’ used in the construction of these trap fishing and how they are passed on and recovered over time. Semistructured questionnaires were applied among the fishermen trying to understand the “knowledge-doings” used in the construction and implementation of “currais” fishing, and the perceptions of these fishermen about these kind of fishery. Initiation in the activity still occurs during childhood with the parents. Socialization generation to generation of doings knowledge by experience is a basic characteristic of traditional knowledge. The construction of a “curral” fishing is made in stages, and only for expert fishermen, hired specifically for this purpose. The most worrying result observed is present in the very speech of the subjects fishermen of this research , stating that the corral fishing is in decline due to the large exploration of other fishing gear on fisheries of the estuary resources , evidenced by the decrease in amount of fish caught in corrals in recent years.
