Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) 1955: o saber matemático escolar na subjetivação de trabalhadores(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-09-11) SGROTT-RODRIGUES, Ana Maria; MANCINO, Emanuela; https://orcid.org/ 0000-0002-6736-5931; CHAVES, Sílvia Nogueira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9353964127402937; https://orcid.org/ 0000-0002-9771-4610In this research context we conduct ourselves building a "history of today", about ways of subjectivity of workers from different labor areas, in the relationships they establish with the knowledge-power practices and with the truth games in the field of School Mathematics Education, space in which occupies a place of relevance in the socioeducational context, due to the dissemination and value assigned to it. We take on the challenge of talking about the variation of the subjectivity ways produced by statements and enunciations of the mathematical discourse, exploring the sayings of workers that enable to see: Which subjectivities are produced in the relations established by the individuals with school mathematics? How is the production of subjectivities from these relationships? We start from the narratives of workers to broader cultural narratives, searching the threads that weave and sustain the discursive network that enables to say and see the mathematical knowledge in the constitution of the subject. To analyze how the discourses reverberate in the ways of being, seeing and telling in relation to school mathematical knowledge, we will use the theoretical tools designed by Michel Foucault, considering from his teachings that workers are historical subjects, forged in history, as well as in the cultural context that runs through them, once subjectivity is not innate, but fabricated and imposed by the discourses that produce us historical and culturally. With this understanding and the intricacies of the provocation arising from Foucault, we brought to our thinking in relation to how the workers place themselves in the struggle between their labor mathematical knowledge and erudite knowledge of mathematical science, the mechanisms they use and the effects of this fight, or the acceptance of the erudite in what they do. We emphasize that the mesh of discursive and non-discursive practices produces mathematics as knowledge that qualifies a person, a people, a nation, producing at the same time the "good"student, the successful worker, and also the disabled, the unsuccessful worker. However, if there are subjections, there is also resistance, refusal, insurrections. From them are born other ways of being, other knowledges, other mathematics that make new truths appear, new skills that dispute and pluralize spaces of power in the broad discursive symphony. This encourages us to say that if life is a friend of art, it is possible with art to invent, incessantly, mathematical knowledge which mean the opening of this big prison closures that are the boundaries.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) 1963: educação, ciência e redenção econômica em uma capital na periferia da modernidade: a Escola de Chimica Industrial na Belém dos anos 1920(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-03-23) MACHADO, Jorge Ricardo Coutinho; ALVES, José Jerônimo de Alencar; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9586790409626243In the 1920s, in Belem (a town in Pará-Amazon-Brazil), merchants and scientists to join through negotiations and interest agreements, to the creation of an analytical laboratory with the aim of researching of amazonian natural products capable of being used in the industry and thereby inaugurate a new cycle of economic prosperity after the end of the so-called "latex cycle" (the amazonian belle époque). The laboratory of analysis, almost simultaneously became a laboratory-school for training chemists, according to a training model previously initiated in Europe and that has shaped from then on, all training systems of professionals of chemistry. This laboratory-school (which existed from 1922 to 1930) graduated nine industrial chemists and published a scientific bulletin with the results of research conducted at the institution. This narrative unfolds in the chapters of this study, which are developed more detailed reports about the actors (human and non-human agents) involved in a network, in this history: the Amazon region with its natural products and the city of Belém of Pará capital on the outskirts of modernity; chemistry, a modern science expanding in the world; diplomats, politicians, merchants, chemistry students and scientiststeachers. The analyzes conducted had supported mainly in the Sociology of Translation, theoretical tool that allows to map inseparably the assembled elements in this network, whose tessitura also contribute those derived by nature and those of society, without asymmetries. The conclusions allows verify the fertility of the approach (Social Studies about Science and Technology) in the construction of narratives about objects which, although already studied by traditional historiography, were being treated asymmetrically, without giving voice with equal eloquence to scientists, amazonian natural products, politicians and traders, resulting often in hagiographies or narratives drived by positive arrow of progress and advancing of the "wrong past" to "correct future." It is expected that stories like this, written with support in the Sociology of Translation, can shed new light on the history of the expansion of the natural sciences in the Amazon, by presenting not a story of winners (or occupation of an " epistemological emptiness"), but that one where we can see the science in action, with all negotiations, hesitations, beliefs, setbacks and recalcitrances, typically presents in a open life field, where reason and passion; knowledge and power intertwine inseparably.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) 1978: letramento científico e consciência metacognitiva de grupos de professores em formação inicial e continuada: um estudo exploratório(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-04-15) GOMES, Ana Silvia Alves; ALMEIDA, Ana Cristina Pimentel Carneiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1265908866509687; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9432-2646This study investigated the scientific literacy skills and metacognitive profile of basic education teachers and students of undergraduate courses, using two newly produced instruments: Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (TOSLS) and the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI). Specifically they were investigated possible correlations between metacognitive skills and scientific literacy, checking and comparing different types of metacognitive skills and scientific literacy for current and future teachers, and evaluate the psychometric and possible improvements of the instruments qualities. The work is based on contemporary research on scientific literacy and metacognition, in particular, studies that aimed to investigate how these skills are developed by teachers of science and mathematics. The results obtained with the implementation of the instruments on a sample of twenty three undergraduate and twenty practicing teachers, indicate that 74% of the sample does not have an adequate level of scientific literacy, despite declaring that frequently use different metacognivas strategies study and plan lessons. Significant statistical correlations were also found between the scores of TOSLS and MAI, ie. metacognitive skills and scientific literacy skills were not correlated. It shows the rupture of key skills with lower rates of success, arguing about their possible causes and mitigation measures for identified problems and suggests future research possibilities using the instruments.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) 1978: Licenciatura intercultural indígena da UEPA: saberes matemáticos e prática pedagógica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-05-02) LIMA, Aline da Silva; SOUZA FILHO, Erasmo Borges de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5387951750537371; https://orcid.org/ 0000-0002-4092-7973This work brings the study and analysis between the training of indigenous teachers and educational practice effective of these teachers in indigenous schools, considering the intersection of knowledge about traditional indigenous knowledge and emphasizes the need for dialogue between their traditional knowledge in math education practices, contributing to the improvement of indigenous teachers in the process of academic training. Being the research of qualitative nature approved in the case study, having as a starting point the following question: how was accomplished the pedagogical practice of indigenous teachers in training in Intercultural Indigenous Degree UEPA, considering the intersection of school knowledge and indigenous knowledge? In order to make a comparative study between the formation of indigenous teachers and their pedagogical practices in mathematics, considering the intersection of school and indigenous knowledge in school Parkatêjê and Kýikatêjê, of the indigenous land Mother Mary. For research were considered the views of the students and teachers/trainers of the intercultural indigenous university degree course. The interview was the basic procedure of research, whose analysis procedure sought to highlight paths to achieving more productive education to develop their scientific knowledge learned in the academic, confirming the idea that there is only one way to systematize the teaching, but relate to traditional indigenous wisdom with scientific wisdom. With reference to surveys, discussions and the monitoring of indigenous scholars in their trajectories in the institution of higher education, through the Intercultural Indigenous University degree course at Universidade do Estado do Pará-UEPA and supported by such authors as Candau (2006) defends the position that the differences are intrinsic, constitutive to educational practices, Knijinik (2012) addressing the thought etnomatemático interested in examining the practices outside school , Ferreira (2001) where the recent sociocultural determinations indicate a ressignification of education, Luciano (2006) discusses the indigenous question for various aspects of your social organization, D'ambrosio (2011) pedagogical practices related to Ethnomathematics enable to overcome the walls of the classroom and RCNEI/National Curricular Reference for Indigenous School (1998), which discusses the development of a proposal for intercultural education giving a new meaning to curricular content.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) 1984: Organizações didáticas nos livros didáticos nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental: o caso da noção de raciocínio combinatório(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-12-20) MORAES, Guilherme Motta; NUNES, José Messildo Viana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5188612973174798; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9492-4914The aim of the research was to analyze praxeological (PO) organizations around the mathematical object Notion of Combinatory Reasoning in two collections of textbooks from 1st to 5th year of EF, used in schools in the city of Belém / PA. This made it possible to highlight and characterize the didactic organization of mathematical knowledge, based on the didactic books approved by the National Textbook Plan, 2013 and 2016, as well as the National Curriculum Parameters, the Book Review Guidebook National Curriculum Reference Matrix for this year of schooling (1st to 5th year of EF). In this sense, to study this object, the Anthropological Theory of Didactics, proposed by Yves Chevallard is adopted as theoretical reference, and a methodological approach is made based on qualitative research, carried out through the bibliographic study. The results of this research highlight some important issues, such as: the focus of the two collections of textbooks based on the resolution of activities, in a purely classical approach. We observe a change in the technique to calculate the proposed activities, from a point organization to a local organization, and also that the tasks and techniques related to the calculations of possibilities and numbers of combinations have not changed. Over the years in both collections of textbooks. Thus, the praxeological organization around these two collections of didactic books analyzed according to Gascon are classic.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) 1993: formação inicial e subjetividade docente no Centro de Ciências e Planetário do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-05-05) YANO, Victtor Takeshi Barreiros; CUNHA, André Luiz Rodrigues dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9887034270931058; ALVES, José Moysés; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6500775506186127; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1307-1249The initial training of physics teachers in non-formal education spaces is little known, especially when one seeks to know how the internship in these educational contexts affects the subjectivity of the graduates, thus contributing to their professional development. In the present research, I aimed to interpret the subjective senses about the stage, which were carried out by undergraduates of the Licentiate course in Natural Sciences with qualification in Physics, in the Center of Sciences and Planetarium of Pará. González Rey. Seven graduates of a state public university, ranging in age from 19 to 22, participated in the study. I carried out the qualitative research, starting with the dialogue with the subjects and understanding the study of singular cases as a legitimate instance of the production of scientific knowledge. I used the questionnaire, sentence complement, essay and semi-structured interview as instruments. From the information obtained, I constructed indicators, which enabled me to interpret the subjective senses related to the stage in the CCPP. Although they present different configurations of subjective meanings, future teachers think that the CCPP stage, by facilitating interaction with the counselor, colleagues and different types of public, favors their plans for the future, motivates for teaching practice and for the creation of Methodologies that articulate theory and practice. They also understand that the internship contributes to building their professional identities and prepares the future teacher to establish a collaborative relationship between formal and non-formal education spaces. Thus, I believe that the Center of Sciences and Planetarium of Pará contributes to the initial formation of Physics teachers, providing experiences that facilitate the production of new subjective senses about the knowledge and motivation necessary for the exercise of the profession and the type of professional they want to be.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A construção de conceitos relacionados com os movimentos Terra-Lua-Sol por alunos da E.J.A. à luz da teoria histórico-cultural(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-07-16) VALENTE, José Alexandre da Silva; ALVES, José Moysés; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6500775506186127; RÉGIS, Cícero Roberto TeixeiraConstructing scientific scholar concepts still needs to be better understood. Focusing on Astronomy concepts, researches are still scarce in Brazil, especially those related to Education for Young and Adult Learners (Educação de Jovens e Adultos EJA). This paper goal was to comprehend, through the historic and cultural theory, EJA students construction of concepts related to movements of the Earth-Moon-Sun system, in their interactions with the teacher and schoolmates in the classroom. The research was conducted in an EJA Ensino Médio class at the Application School Federal University of Pará. The class had 19 students, from 16 to 37 years old. The data collection took place during the term semester, beginning with questionnaires. They had open questions about the theme in order to investigate the students previous conceptions. After that, the thematic classes were audio and video recorded. During the classes the students gave explanations for the day-night succession on Earth, individually or in groups spontaneously formed by the students, and then they were reorganized by their teacher. The registers were transcribed and analyzed in a micro-genetic way. The students answers to the initial question about the day-night succession on Earth were categorized in four levels A, B, C and D, from the farthest and the closest scientifically accepted scholar concept. The achieved results showed 13 students made the conceptual profile better, because they migrated from the A, B or C levels to the D one in the answers category, that is, these students understood that the day-night succession was a result of the Earth rotation movement. The other 6 students, already at the level D, kept in that level, although they improved their explanation if we compare their first and last answers. Three students were selected in order to analyze their micro-genetic knowledge construction process. They had their initial written answers classified in A or B levels, and during the interactions with their teacher and the other students, they achieved the scientific discourse elements, giving theoretical explanations to the observed phenomenon. The results show different adjustment mechanisms of Educational help offered by the teacher and the students, they show the importance of a dialogist approach and a work with different group formats in the classroom.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A escola como espaço de formação continuada de professores: o caso da Escola Cidade de Emaús, Belém/Pa(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004) BARROS, Maricilda Nazaré Raposo de; GONÇALVES, Terezinha Valim Oliver; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0496932429575513In this research, I have perspective, contribute for the discussion of the continued formation of teachers centered in school, having as locus of research the School City of Emaús, in Belém/Pa. With the purpose to knowing the process of continued formation taken place in this school it analyzes primary documents of the Institution, that deal with its philosophy, of the social statute of the maintainer entity, of the politician-pedagogical project, among others and interviews with 06 diligent teachers of this experience who had started to participate of the school space in elapsing of the considered period, in which if it includes author and its proper memories. For the reconstitution of the process I used the narrative research, looking for evidence the implanted partner-pedagogical experience since the decade of 1980 that it is configured since than, as one other/new proposal educational up to 2003. Considering for the study of the process the following axles of analysis: the formative organization of space and pertaining to school time and actions in the school, considering there the collective work, the production of didactic materials, the politic social involvement and the activities done in the district. I discuss the advances and limitation of the continued formation of teachers centering in the school and I search to point out ways to the construction of the necessary teacher to proposal of a politician-pedagogical project to this educative space, it still looks, to join technique ability to the commitment politician. This formation must assure the permanent confirmation and evaluation of the philosophy assumed by the school, as well as all theoretician-scientific recital of the work developed there, materialize the actions from the proper experience of a collective work. This formation therefore, acquires an essential character of the pertaining to school community. I also think, that from an interior politicianpedagogical project, in fact, for the diverse segments of a pertaining to school institution there are greater conditions, so that if it constructs a central axle to the continued formation of teachers, who are just integrant part of people who must concur for the same purpose. I believe the school that possess a politician-pedagogical project, compels it to the necessity of forming responsible human resources for its development.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A formação de professores de química na UFPA: a história de um curso de graduação e sua evolução curricular(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-03-01) MACHADO, Jorge Ricardo Coutinho; CORDEIRO, Luiz Acácio Centeno; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3737752474189702This work is a study about the chemical teacher's formation course in UFPA, telling your story starting of your curricular designs in your 30 year of life and put this story in bigger context of building of the modern science. The study goes on analising, by specific literature, the politic pedagogical project recently approved in Colegiado of this course, with the objective of to detect possible advances and conclude, starting of the backgroud described by the history of the course and by present moment, answering the question: in according with the modern society demands, how to compose, today, a chemical teacher? The search methods used in this study was interviews, by semi-structured methods, and search in books and documents, with bigger emphasis in this last method.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A formação para a cidadania em discursos de professores de física(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006) ALENCAR, José Ricardo da Silva; BRITO, Licurgo Peixoto de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5100592138044970We investigate the speech of physics teachers about the citizen formation. This formation has been become as an important Educational Goals for the last years. The Educational Laws and Parameters and the Researches in Scientific Education have been focused to the formation of citizens. Such characteristics are in the school speech and they are influencing the protagonists of the educative practices. Thus, we investigate on teachers' conceptions and proposals about the Formation for the Citizenship. We reflect on its ideas over teaching physic focused to scientific literacy for all citizens, thus, we bring as subject in this investigation the speeches of professors of Physics. So, we choose three teachers' Physics with criteria that they are concerned with the innovation of this discipline. Thus, such teachers had been interviewed and, from their speeches, we use as methodology the Qualitative Analysis of Text. We use this methodology which took us to the debate of aspects as the conceptualizations that the teachers have about citizenship, the relationship they infer between the teaching Physics and the scientific literacy, as well as of factors that influence or could influence for a transformation in the way to conceive a Scientific Literacy. So, we can infer: the Physics is conceived by the teachers as an important factor in the life of a citizen: they believes that there is an intense relationship between the contextualized scientific knowledge and the formation of critical sense of the citizen and express positions that are scientifically and technologically informed; there is an approach between the speeches of these teachers and the one in the Education Documents and new Parameters in Scientific Education; the inefficacy of initial formation of these teachers for teaching practices what makes impracticable proposals and alternative strategies to the citizen formation. Thus, based in our analysis, the results of this research in takes us to infer that for an effective implementation of the Scientific Education focusing scientific literacy in high schools, a turn point, by the professors, must be did: the rupture with Traditional Education and a epistemological and pedagogical turning of the Physical Education. Moreover, to include in teaching physics the formation for praxis citizen based in scientific and ethical knowledge, as well as the daily citizen practice of express opinions and action in society.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A história da matemática como metodologia de ensino da matemática: perspectivas epistemológicas e evolução de conceitos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2005-02-28) GOMES, Emerson Batista; ESPÍRITO SANTO, Adilson Oliveira do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5870609258842071We are frequently censured of a population without memory, not for we have not passed, that would be absurd and our homeland is responsible for several cultural constructions and you conquer scientific-technological. The problem resides in the negligence character that most of the population is habituated when of the conservation of the good values and you know. Being like this, a lot of activities and procedures are treated with neglect by this part of the population. We are not being here just about the population with not very or any access to the education, but of the class intellectualized that trust in the science as something finish and without historical foundation, once they excel for the obtained results and not for the means of construction of these knowledge. It is in this context that we judged he/she/it to justify our assertion epistemological. We possessed the understanding that nothing related to the teaching process should be treated without a formation conceptual paltada in its history. This for we believe that only after a reflection act about the actions practiced in the daily academic, we can notice the due relationships incorporated to the field of the personal, social and cultural conscience. Having incorporated such ideal, we felt the back-up need in the certain of the Mathematical Education, more specifically in if being about the defense of the History of the Mathematics as teaching methodology. For so much we investigated by means of a questionnaire the positions with relationship to the education, to the history and the several teachers' of the public net mathematics and peculiar of teaching. The these teachers' thoughts went of great importance to mold the forms with that would approach our defense of the history as methodology of teaching of the mathematics. We judged important, still, our explicit way to conceive the reflection by means of the construction of the knowledge, being this treated so much in philosophical stamp as psychological. The construction of the dissertation would not be complete if we didn't discuss the forms of perception of the history in elapsing of the times and our conception of the history as teaching methodology. That we made it, with the hope of we be contributing to the improvement of the mathematics teachers' posture in class room and of the conscience that should have memory of the construction of ours you know.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A idéia de saúde, meio ambiente e educação ambiental e alunos do ensino fundamental - Vigia de Nazaré/PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-09-29) LIMA, Rosanira Furtado de; MAGALHÃES, Luiz Marconi Fortes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6032076996211936The study represents a contribution to enrich the patrimony of the Teaching of Sciences, starting from professional experiences and people with the theory in the fields of the health, environment and environmental education, in school environment. This study also represents a responsibility in the sense of collaborating with the construction of a formal education that can unmask a critical vision of the social reality. Two research subjects (How students of 5th series of the fundamental teaching express in their ideas the concepts of health, environment and does education adapt and, why is a person's health related with the environment where she lives and, with the environmental education what does she have) were they proposed with the intention of looking for a better understanding in the way how students of the fundamental teaching show in their ideas the enunciation of the concepts of health, environment and environmental education and the relationship among them. The methodological mark points the case study as the knowledge used for the sustentation and materialization of the investigation and, the observation and the interview as necessary complementally knowledge to the accomplishment of the planning, of the collection and of the analysis of the data. The methodological delineate describes of the context in which the subject of the research are inserted, the atmosphere of the research, the construction of the data, the encounter researcher-subjects and the concepts used in the study. The results are shown in two sections. The first display as the subject of the research if they manifested in relation to the concepts of health, environment and environmental education. Monday shows the reason a person's health is related with the environment where she lives and with the environmental education that she has, according to the manifestations of the subject of the research. The study shows a reflection on the theme on the agenda (total knowledge) and the classroom (local knowledge) and. it points that it is possible to build an education school, significant, starting from the knowledge, interests and local needs without losing the dimension macro of the school, of the society and of the world.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A minha vida seria muito diferente se não fosse a matemática: o sentido e os significados do ensino de matemática em processos de exclusão e de inclusão escolar e social na educação de jovens e adultos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-04-18) RODRIGUES, Ana Maria Sgrott; ARAGÃO, Rosália Maria Ribeiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5651914385447486The present inquiry deals with a case study which is concerned to the students of a public school as part of a special program of Young and Adult Education. Such students were registered in 3rd. and 4th. stages of that program, whose curricular format corresponds to the four last series of Junior Basic Education. These stages concentrate matter, space and time in order to develop four school years in two. The school is located in a geographic area occupied by slums whose community lives in a real condition of social exclusion. That region sits close to two public important universities. Young students as well as adults in that context were studying in that school just because they lived a school trajectory marked by social obstacles and other impediments to study and work at the same time, so that they could not improve their schooling grades without interruptions that had hindered them to conclude their Basic Education. For these reasons I aimed to investigate what kind of elements in Mathematics Education can contribute successfully for the desirable inclusion of these students in schooling regular activities, as well as elements that create effective exclusion of school as a phenomenon that inversely acts in order to give feedback to the inevitable process of social exclusion of those students. So, I assumed the construction of this inquiry in a narrative way related to the particular context of that school, while involving and interacting with the subjects of this research, which are students, teachers and other employees of the school. I considered their life stories and the way they consider the pedagogical events in their school living, especially those related to Mathematics Education. Therefore, I aimed as objectives of this research to produce other directions, other relations and nexuses that could answer 'how ' and ' why ' the considered criteria of analysis contribute to bring out the process of schooling either inclusion or exclusion. These analyses make possible to evidence the terms of imminent exclusion, detached either by the school indifference or by the teachers misformation to teach those students. Besides that I noticed the disrespect for the life-history of the students that distorted a clear pedagogical vision when it is supposed "adequate curricula summary" and "equality of chances" in the comparison of the former excluded students with the legally said as students in regular education".Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A prática docente na Escola Bosque: o desafio educativo de uma proposta construtivista(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-11-23) SOUZA, Eliana Silva de; GONÇALVES, Terezinha Valim Oliver; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0496932429575513In this paper, I investigate the professional experiences of six Elementary School teachers, in which I include myself, from Centro de Referência em Educação Ambiental Escola Bosque Foundation, Belém/Pará, whose educational project embrace interdisciplinary constructivist environmental perspective that presuppose effective pupils participation in constructivist knowledge process interacting scholar contents and making the research possible. Aiming at drawing a profile of pedagogic actions lived in a context of social, historical and cultural implications which reveal structural subsides involved in the investigated educational project, I present docent narratives and report my own pedagogic practice. For such deeds, I utilize theoretical presupposition of narrative research that considers the reports of individual significant experiences from involved people, and I contextualize the docent practice establishing a dialog with pertinent literature and with the schools own documental material. From obtained data I could testify that some pedagogic practices glimmered at Escola Bosques physical space, even presenting imperfections, configure themselves as constructivist and interdisciplinary and institute themselves by research, becoming a special action to be considered for teaching quality amelioration.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A propriedade distributiva da multiplicação: uma visão diagnóstica do processo(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004) DIAS, Josete Leal; SILVA, Francisco Hermes Santos da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3912906225739008The objective of this study is to investigate the application of the distributive property of multiplication in the numeric and algebaric contexts, and in the solution of problems carried out by students of Basic Education in a public school in Belém, examining in what measure the application of the distributive property is related to the difficulties found in the mathematics learning. In this investigation, we highlight the diagnostic evolutation and the error as a didactic strategy as well as hermeneutic contribution concerning the ways of assessing the process of acquiring the skills of math. The study inlued fifth and seventh grade students of basic course and the frist uear of high school, out of forty-five sibjects. The collection was carried out in two moments by applying a test presenting three sets of questions in a total of thirteen problem situations. The procedures of the subjects concerning the application of the distributive property were described in a perspective of qualitative analysis. The protocols presented were to look for behavior patterns in the understanding of the subjects on the distributive property, as well as to clarify situations which were entitled didactic obstacles. As a result, it was evident that the students presented some difficulty to work with the application of distributive property when the latest one is found in the context of problem solutions, as well as contents like algebraic sum, study of variables, nonsimilarterms are not in the domain of most of the students.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A realidade como princípio metodológico no ensino da matemática(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2004-05-24) SILVA, Luiza Pereira da; MENDES, Iran Abreu; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4490674057492872This study has the purpose to argue the actions developed in the school in an interdisciplinary conception, having the Generating Subject as axle of curricular orientation, using as a methodological strategy for construction of the thematic nets in the classroom the work projects (inquiry projects). We believe that the process of teach-learning and the construction of the school and scientific knowledge from the valuation and approach with knowledge of the reality (daily knowledge), will become more efficient in a dialogical process between students, teachers and knowledge that interact in a movement of orientation on the part of the teacher and for the search to understanding methematics knowledge, applying it and systemizing it toward new knowledge.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Abordagem ciência, tecnologia e sociedade CTS de tema sociocientífico na educação de jovens e adultos privados de liberdade: o caso de Belo Monte(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-05-03) MELO, Semille Pantoja de; FREITAS, Nádia Magalhães da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2982253212145468; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0042-8640I present a socioscientific Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach to the education of youth and adults deprived of liberty: the case of Belo Monte. This research was realized with students enrolled in the first stage of the Youth and Adult Secondary Education program (EJA) at the Pará Center for Recuperation (CRPP II) with the intention to address the following questions: What critical positions may students deprived of liberty express in relation to the Belo Monte project when presented with the speeches of different interest groups and the socioenvironmental issues involved? What factors relative to STS interactions and citizenship are contemplated in these positions? In order to respond to these questions, a theme that would push the student to position themselves in the context of their daily life and Amazonian regionality was chosen. Thus, the socioscientific theme Hydroelectric products and the production of energy: the case of Belo Monte emerged. Through a qualitative approach, participatory research was found to be favorable to the research direction. Data collection occurred during three moments: The first was during physics classes in which specific instructional material employing a socioscientific theme, constructed based on the three pedagogical moments of Delizoicov and Angotti (1992), was utilized. The second moment occurred during a showing of videos about the Belo Monte hydroelectric plant with speeches from three different groups: indigenous peoples, riverine communities, and the urban population of Altamira, in which Minayo’s (2008) “projective interview” captured students’ positions in relation to the construction of the hydroelectric plant. The third moment occurred following the showing of the videos, with debates between students as well as the production of texts in which students declared their positions. The results demonstrated that the STS approach with socioscientific themes fosters, beyond education, the participation, debate, and the formation of citizenship, since it permits the construction of critical positions of popular participation. Within this context, the present study indicates that strengthening science education in the classroom based on the premises of a socioscientific STS approach, in the context of prisons, contributed to the construction of the process of social (re)integration of youth and adults deprived of liberty.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Abordagem CTS no ensino de astronomia: formação de professores mediada pela situação problema “Centro de Lançamento de Alcântra”(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-01-20) SANTANA, Elisangela Barreto; FREITAS, Nádia Magalhães da Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2982253212145468This work is a result of focused research to understand the contribution and seize the possibilities and restrictions of the Science, Technology and Society (STS) approach, mediated by a situation – problem in continuing education teachers, in order to provide a reflective, critical and independent of science teachers in specific in Astronomy Education. The theoretical constructions around the teacher training are guided in the arguments of reflective teacher, but this very intentional reflective practice from the perspective of reflection to action. The weaknesses and astronomy education challenges are presented in the theoretical frameworks and the construction of a new reference in this context was given by the discussions and buildings around the case "Alcântara Launch Center". The environment that composed this research was a continuing education course, aimed at science teachers in the context of an action research as part of a qualitative research. The study gathered seven professors of federal network, state and municipal school, which through an investigative action, in inverted symmetry format, appropriated the theoretical and practical frameworks of STS teaching approach. The analysis methodology, my choice was the discursive textual analysis by understanding it as a facilitator of the process to seek, express and construct meaning the investigated field. In this respect, I realized the relevance of excerpts related to the constructions of knowledge and training buildings, which led me to organize and present the results in two sections, namely: (1) citizen Education: articulating CTS and scientific knowledge on astronomy: this section includes buildings necessary for the appropriation of scientific knowledge related to the issue and problem Alcantara, (2) Reflective training for professional intentional action: in which converged the prospects of reflex actions in the sense of reflection for action, converging different perspectives of the subjects around personal and professional values, necessary for conscious and intentional professional action. The work showed me the practical value of the STS approach and the possibility of Astronomy teaching be presented in context, and reflective practice. As for teachers, provided the construction of a new framework and the possibility of a differentiated pedagogical practice, focused on civic education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Abordagem CTS por meio de tema: consumo doméstico de energia elétrica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-10-23) CARVALHO, Ricardo Haroldo de; ALMEIDA, Ana Cristina Pimentel Carneiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1265908866509687As a teacher I could clearly understand, through my experience, the necessity of a Science teaching involving the real context of the learner. The reflections on my teaching practice motivated me to a teaching challenge that made a relation between the student conceptual domain and the real situations in his community . Thus, the purpose of this research is to investigate evidences of a critical attidude from the CTS teaching conception through problems presented related to electrical energy consumption. I tried to answer the researching question about how to enable critical analysis from students regarding to their own use of residential electricity. This research was conducted through a qualitative approach, the action research type. A workshop was developed using conceptual energy content, in order to integrate the topics of the teaching unit. As an analysis strategy of the collected data, I developed an interpretative analysis, the intention was to give meaning to the situations raised by the students during the classes. The information was obtained through questionnaires and records in field notes. The results presented that CTS teaching approach enabled students the critical thinking mainly about values and ethical issues, relating their social reality to the habit of excessive electrical energy consumption, considering that for some students the illegal connection is a justification for wasting energy. The research has shown the dialogic and changing potential of this educational approach as the record of some students changing attitudes in that situation. I believe that, in this sense, this project demonstrated that CTS approach in schools is possible and that citizenship needs to be developed, being the technological scientific literacy of their rights and duties important for the students good achievement in society.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A abordagem CTSA e o espaço não formal: O rio que eu vejo no complexo ver-o-rio(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-09-23) NAHUM, Helen Regina Machado; ALMEIDA, Ana Cristina Pimentel Carneiro de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1265908866509687; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9432-2646This study is oriented to the area of Scientific Teaching and developed through the Science, Technology, Society and Environment Approach (STSE) in a non-formal educational space, the Ver-o-Rio Complex, in the city of Belém, state of Pará, Brazil. It aimed to analyze, in its different dimensions, the decision-making process of 9th grade students of Elementary School, in relation to the problems identified in the Ver-o-Rio Complex non-formal space. This research was carried out in a qualitative approach, from the pedagogical intervention type. For data analysis, it was used the method of Discursive Textual Analysis (ATD), systematizing the results obtained into three categories: Understanding the STS Relations; Consciousness-Making/Decision-Making; and Student Interest and Autonomy. To set the corpus of analysis, we considered researches carried out by the own students on various topics related to the environment, along with texts written by them, the teacher's research diary, notes from conversation circles, photographic records of the visit to the Ver-o-Rio Complex, interviews with the students in a WhatsApp group (created due to the pandemics), which were answered individually by audio or writing; and videos on awareness/decision produced by the students. Among the results found, it was observed that the relationship among Scientific Teaching and the STSE Approach favored the learning of several scientific concepts, brought motivation, argumentation and critical reasoning, in addition to bringing students closer to the teacher. In this sense, it was observed that the activities carried out in the non-formal space, from the perspective of an educational context, were configured as a successful proposal, as it motivated the students, increased their interest in knowledge and presented characteristics related to thinking and freedom of expression.
