A Práxis educativa no curso de licenciatura em Artes Visuais da UFPA: o olhar histórico-crítico de uma egressa

Abstract

This research addresses the epistemology of praxis in the Degree in Visual Arts at UFPA, critically observing the history of the curriculum of this initial training and outlining reflections based on the cultural, political and/or ideological choices that surround the creation of the curriculum in the dimension of social relations and in the symbolic/cultural power disputes that arise from this. This is the perspective of a graduate who was an undergraduate between 2012 and 2016. A cis, black, Amazonian woman, a teacher working in formal and non-formal education, from peripheral areas, located between Belém and Ananindeua-PA; and also, a local artist focused on the poetic/visual production of the aesthetics that permeates the Amazonian imagination, based on the technical language of illustration and comic books. The purpose of this study is to propose reflections between the territories of academic life in higher education, the scenario of Visual Arts in the daily life of public schools and to create a written and visual document - this thesis - that democratizes access to the collective and institutional memory of this training. initial. Thus, a reflexive mediation on these epistemic margins is proposed; and, the relationship between academia and society, based on the curriculum. Considering progressive perspectives and social emancipation based on the theoretical propositions of Paulo Freire, Kátia Augusta Curado, Tomaz Tadeu Silva, whose themes lead to a research process based on the methodology of historical-dialectical materialism and with this, the suggestion of the epistemology of educational praxis as a perspective is based teaching relevant to Education and Visual Arts. Furthermore, in order to visualize notable points in the political history of this degree, involving the collective memory of students, teachers and other members of the academic community, a poetic/visual record of the narratives experienced by this group is made, enabling the visuality of the past, inspire epistemological paths of research in the future.
