Abstract

Since we use the World Wide Web, or more commonly the Internet, increasingly for our duties and leisures, literature would also be included in the global process of digitalization. The roles of art, of the author and the reader are re-established in this era when it’s more on evidence that there are no originals, but only “sketches of sketches”. Therefore, there are theorical questionings about where literature it’s leading itself, with the aid of the faster technological ascension. In the current poetic creation, even more on the computational scope, there is a massive use of images – the visual poetry as a form of a faster poetic expression, conducive with the type of reading we perform in the fast information era. This dissertation deals with the phenomenon of poetic creation by two aspects: authors who use the concept of Rewriting to claim themselves as original authors of texts based on others already existing texts, and this poetic creation takes place on the communication media of printed paper and of the virtual world. The other aspect verifies authors who create visual poetry specifically in the virtual world, creating a new poetic material, using as many resources that the digital world has to offer for the transgression of the language.
