The main objective of this research was to produce knowledge about the toponymy of Tupinambá origin in Bragança/PA, located in the Bragantina Microregion and belonging to the Mesoregion of Northeastern Pará, based on 146 toponyms collected in the six districts of Bragança, Bragança, Caratateua, Tijoca, Nova Mocajuba, Almoço and Vila do Treme. It is justified not only by the lack of research on Tupinambá toponyms in the state of Pará, specifically in the Municipality of Bragança, but also as an importante contributtion to the Bragantine memory, as well as relevant knowledge to assist the linguist in understanding the constitution of space, and local culture, and as a way to highlight the role of local fauna and flora in naming places in the region. The data were collected (i) from the Political Map of the municipality, of the Ministry of Mines and Energy's Mineral Integration Program in Primates, (ii) from 120 sketches, donated by the National Health Foundation (Funasa) of the municipality, and later, (iii) validated by 12 consultants, two from each district. The theoretical basis is based on Lexicology, with Vilela (1994), Turazza (2005) and Abbade (2011); in Morphology, on Silva and Koch (2001), Kehdi (2006) and Câmara Jr (1977); in Lexical Semantics, on Ullmann (1961) and Marques (2001); in Toponymy, on Dick (1992), Almeida (2011) and Isquerdo (2008). The analysis, description and classification of the data collected are based on the LGP and LGA dictionaries and vocabularies, with Stradelli (2014), Cunha (1978), Sampaio (1978), Seixas (1853), Vocabulary in the Brazilian Language (1938), Anonymous Dictionary of the General Language of Brazil (1896) and Dick (1992). The results obtained in the study were that (1) the Portuguese Language (LP) was used as an instrument for naming the Bragantina toponymia of Tupinambá origin, with evident loans from the General Amazonian Language (LGA); (2) there was a considerable preference for names of anthropogenic (human) nature, showing 73 (50%) and 5 (3,42%) designative for the accident Community and Villa (inhabited physical space), respectively, followed by those of physical nature, such as Rio and Igarapé, with 30 (20.54%) and 13 (8.90%) occurrences, respectively; (3) The taxonomy of the Bragantina toponymy of Tupinambá origin evidenced a high classification for designatives related to the flora, with 56 occurrences related to the phyto-taxon taxa (38,33%), followed by designations related to the fauna, with 32 occurrences related to the zootopony class (22,58%); (4) all toponyms are today opaque, being referenced only by their current meaning, which makes them fossilized; (5) the phonetic changes of the native Bragantina toponymia of Tupinambá origin evidenced the anteriorization phenomena (y>i) in relation to the posteriorization (y>u), in addition to the consonantization (i> jeu> b), which aided in the identification of LP as the language of appointment; (6) the most evident morphological composition was that of the simple formation LGA, followed by the composite formation in LGA / LGA and simple with tyba suffixation.
