Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A atuação Política da Coordenação de Proteção dos Direitos dos Povos Indígenas e das Populações Tradicionais (CPPITA) na Secretaria de Justiça e Direitos Humanos (SEJUDH)(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-07-10) GOMES, Izaquiel Mateus Macedo; ASSIS, Eneida Corrêa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7712390425145521Institutions that deal with indigenous issues are present in the political scene, mainly from the Indian Protection Service (SPI), a posteriori, the National Indian Foundation (FUNAI) these national imprint. The indigenous issue in the state of Pará gain some visibility in the municipal government with the mayor of Bethlehem Edmilson Rodrigues (1997-2000, 2001-2004) and then with the Governor Ana Julia Carepa (2007-2010). Given the reforms the state executive, the Department of Justice becomes Secretary of Justice and Human Rights, which congregate demands of various political minorities between her coordination that deals with the protection and the rights of indigenous and traditional populations in which an indigenous came forward during the rule Ana Julia. Although space favored by the government Ana Julia was not possible to effect a state Indian policy seeking to understand the topic in local terms, there will be a historical review of the relationship between state and Indians in order to provide a framework DAS questions that have guided the dialogue in institutional aspect. THEN The analysis of political action Coordination of Protection of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Traditional Populations (CPPITA) intra-inter Secretariat of Justice and Human Rights (SEJUDH) given the new political scenario which is configured with the Brazilian redemocracia.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Movimento social indígena e participação política: a contribuição da COIAB na formação de lideranças(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012-10-22) OLIVEIRA, Andreici Marcela Araujo de; ASSIS, Eneida Corrêa de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7712390425145521As the Brazilian indigenous movement gained prominence after the 1988 Constitution, the emerging political leaders of indigenous organizations need to coalesce their struggles and express a politicized ethnic identity among the various instances to government that their demands are met. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to investigate the political participation of COIAB focusing on the formation of political leadership. To meet this goal, the analysis of the indigenous movement in the Brazilian political scene post-88, the formation of political leaderships COIAB such as training courses, their target audience, so entry and exit and the actions of COIAB political leaders are steps necessary to understand the political process of this indigenous organization. The dynamics of the indigenous movement, a new form of inclusion in the political process in making decisions reflect the need for an increasingly broad articulation. COIAB can play a major role when it comes to indigenous political activism. Expressed thus an ethnic identity that aggregates all these values struggle of the Indigenous Movement as the search for an affirmation of identity, empowerment of indigenous leaders, as well as active participation.
