Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Desemprego e qualificação profissional em Parauapebas no estado do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-06-29) SALES, Carla Rafaela Lemos; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403This thesis has as study object the unemployment between the workers who are submitted to professional qualifications processes. It aims to analyze the relation between the unemployed workers growing and the strong presence of transnational company Vale in the Parauapebas municipality. The research was oriented methodologically by the critical-dialectical method in order to go beyond the appearance of the phenomenon, and apprehend how the international, national and regional trends associated with historical and social reality of the region influence the particularity of unemployment and professional qualifications of Parauapebas. Among the conclusions, are highlighted in the three chapters that: the world trends of work reflect the work precarious process, especially informality, employability and the feminization of labor which are the most characteristics found out in the municipality and contribute to increase in unemployment. Thus, are configured speeches and ideological concepts which provide the capital profitability needs. When verifying the repercussions of precarious process in the Amazon, we see the region functionality to the accumulation capital and, for this, they are Amazon peculiarities. Therefore, it is possible to characterize the interviewees’ profile. It is pointed out as one of the main conclusions which the requirements for entry into the labor market are configured intentionally and to individualize the mechanisms of access and permanence to the labor market, because they potentialize competitiveness through selective criteria and ensure the existence of a reserve army of extremely functional labor to capital expansion.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Famílias e Direitos Sociais no sudeste do Pará/Brasil : um estudo das demandas apresentadas no âmbito da Assistência Social(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) SOARES, Mayra Ferreira; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403This dissertation has as object of study the demands presented by the families in the scope of Social Assistance in the municipality of Parauapebas located in the state of Pará / Brazil. The objective of this study is to investigate how the Social Assistance policy intervenes in the perspective of guaranteeing social rights, based on the demands presented by the families in the CRAS and CREAS of the city of Parauapebas (PA). The analysis is based on the critical dialectical method as it assists the movement of social reality and the phenomena that it presents, in order to overcome the appearance of the demands of the families that express themselves in the scope of the Assistance, in search of the apprehension of the processes related to the multiple spheres of social relations that affect social policy and the families that resort to it. Thus, this dissertation points out that a strong characteristic of Brazilian patriarchal society is still present in the particularity of Parauapebas, because, in the scope of Assistance, issues of violation of law, where children and adolescents are the main victims, stand as issues from intimate forum to family, linked mainly to the role of women in the care and protection of their loved ones. In this way, the family and the welfare experience inflows of the social structure that exists beyond the subjective environment where the relations are more restricted to the family environment, based on the neoliberal logic of capitalist accumulation that generates setbacks in the field of social rights, where the State it becomes increasingly obscure in the social sphere. On the other hand, we can not fail to understand that, despite the various contradictions in the field of family and social policy, the results of the Assistance actions address the need both of poor families in relation to the limits of the labor market in capitalist society, the needs of capitalist accumulation.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Identidades às avessas os desafios do exercício profissional das assistentes sociais da Vale em Carajás(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-08-29) BORGES, Keline da Silva; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403This dissertation analyses the identities of social workers at Vale S.A in the Carajas region, as ideological manifestations in context of a capitalist productive restructuring. The analysis‟ central categories were work, as in Marx‟s conception and ideology, as in Gramsci‟s conception. The logic of the capitalism, that leads to the alienation and manipulation of the worker‟s subjectivity, induces professionals to absorb uncritically of the common sense, the representation of the hegemony, which manifest implicity in the language and behaviors of professional. The research‟s subjects were social workers at Vale, working in units located in the Carajas region, southeastern Para, since it is a transnacional firm with strong influence in the Amazon region. Currently, municipalities in the Carajas region have their social, economic and political development linked to the firm‟s activities. The research‟s hypothesis was that the Vale‟s social worker‟s identities, in a productive restructuring context, are topsy-turvy identities that contribute to mystifying and reductionist practices, that reproduce capitalistic interests. The empirical research used a time-frame from 2007 to the present days. The results showed that in their professional exercise, Vale‟s social workers experience the inevitable contradictions, both of Vale‟s implementations in the region and those related with the development of Social Work, which contributes more to strengthen a capitalistic hegemony than to strengthen the ethical-political-professional project of the Social Work. The analysis of the correlation of forces present in this professional workspace, constitutes, not only, a objective of discussion and reflection on the challenges involved but also of the objective possibilities that can be identified imbedded in the discourses of the social workers.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Políticas empresariais “sociais” implementadas em comunidades atingidas por projetos minerometalúrgicos no estado do Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-09-18) RODRIGUES, Giselle Viegas Dantas; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403This research aims to analyze the “social” corporate policies implemented in communities affected by mining-metallurgical projects. Its main objective is to identify how policies are structured, what communication strategies are used, and what are the socio-environmental impacts caused in affected communities. Critical social theory was used to analyze the data and information obtained, which involved mining companies from the three mesoregions that make up the state of Pará. In the empirical research, representatives of communities, government, corporate companies and private organizations were interviewed using the following methodological tools: on-site observation/interviews, field diary, writing and transcription of interviews, analysis and systematization of interviews, and essay writing. The main results of the research indicate that the "socially responsible" stance affirmed by the corporate companies is based on the need to create consensuses in the communities, to reduce local poverty and to establish the legitimacy of the company over the territory; and also that strategic communication methodologies have influenced the way of thinking and acting of those affected by the mining and the professionals involved, due to the existence of life conditions materialized in everyday life and create illusory concepts to explain the reality of those who suffer the socio-environmental impacts of mining-metallurgical projects. In addittion, it is concluded that despite the economic growth generated by mining and the investment in “social” corporate policies to mitigate socio-environmental impacts in the cities surveyed the communities affected by mining-metallurgical projects continue to suffer from violations of rights and intensification of social, political, economic, cultural, territorial and labor inequalities.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As políticas públicas de segurança e saúde do trabalhador e a (des) proteção da força de trabalho no município de Parauapebas-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-10-05) SILVA, Andréa Ferreira Lima da; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403This study aimed to analyze the implementation and operation of public policies for worker safety and health in the municipality of Parauapebas-PA. Therefore, the research sought to study the global and national economic policy environment in the contemporary world; perform historical review of the National Policy Institution of Occupational Health and Working (PNSTT) and the National Policy on Safety and Health work and analyze the actions and policy interventions at national, state and municipal level. Developed a research work contemplating the formulation and implementation of actions on workers' health, considering the makers represented in the survey by the ILO member company Vale S / A and trade unions; the Enforcers, represented by managers and employees of the security services and health of workers and beneficiaries, represented by the mining workers. The phenomenon studied showed permeated with contradictions and social determinations and could not be considered only within the limits of public policy for worker safety and health, it became necessary to analyze other social elements, which directly and indirectly determine the dynamics public policy in the municipality of Parauapebas. Through the critical-dialectical method it was possible to carry out the "way back" and understand the nuances of the unfavorable environment for public policy safety and occupational health in the Region. It points out that the ineffectiveness of these policies is determined by economic policy conditions in Brazil, but also by the local environment, where we observe the extension of the "industrial reserve army", the preference for Health Insurance, the (un) social control in health worker and neo-corporatist role of the unions. Contradictorily, the survey that sought information on the implementation of public policies for worker safety and health found more data on intensification of exploitation and control of labor power than promoting the health of these workers. Given the results revealed by the research work, it is concluded that the labor force in the municipality of Parauapebas-PA, despite the existence of legal framework and apparatus of public policy protection remains unprotected in all aspects of the fence, in special, safety and occupational health.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Processo de organização sindical na mineração em Carajás-PA a negociação dos direitos sociais como “moeda de troca” das relações de trabalho(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-08-09) WANZELLER, Ricardo Leão Ribeiro; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403The purpose of this dissertation is to discuss the relations and working conditions in the mining-metallurgical sector of Carajás-PA from the perspective of trade union leaders and legal operators working in the region. Based on this study, it is intended to investigate the processes of union demand and negotiation, regarding the defense, guarantee and promotion of social rights. As a theoretical reference of analysis, the research was guided by the critical dialectical method for the better apprehension of the conceptual changes of the categories, as well as guideline of successive approximation with the object in question. In the development of the work, the conceptions of the State and the ideological mechanisms that act as hegemonic force for the attenuation of the crises of the capitalist mode of production, through the subtraction of the class conflicts and control of the relations and work processes in the intention To guarantee the reproduction of bourgeois sociability. In the sequence, the particularity of this capital-labor relationship is evident in the mining-metallurgical activity in Carajás-PA, where the reflexes of productive restructuring act as regulator of a permanent context of flexibilization and precarization of labor relations that interfere directly in the organization Of workers and in the labor time imposed by the productivity rate of the economic companies subsidiaries of Transnacional Vale SA. In light of the above, based on the data collection carried out in the Collective Labor Agreements - ACT's of the mining-metallurgical workers affiliated to SIMETALParauapebas, Vale SA's sustainability report and the interviews with the research subjects, A local context of bureaucratization of labor decisions, where the State power, slow and permissive, acts in conjunction with the new configuration of the union-company relationship and thus contributes to maintaining the concentration of wealth for the business sector and flexibilization or subtraction of social rights for workers. This union / company relationship has been mediated by the instruments for measuring the goals achieved by the level of workers' productivity, which serves as a parameter for the achievement of the social policies of wage benefits and incentives defined in the trade union negotiation processes.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Trabalho precarizado e transtorno mental: a visão dos profissionais de um CAPS de Belém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015-12-14) NASCIMENTO, Rodolfo Valentim Carvalho do; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403This study is the result of empirical research in the form of analysis of verbal reports of ten professionals of a CAPS Belém do Pará, in order to analyze the vision that have the relationship work and mental disorder, more specifically on the impact of changes the world of work in mental health workers who make treatment in CAPS and referring to their mental disorders as a result of poor working conditions and life. An outcome of this first objective the research sought to examine whether the institutional responses would meet the demands of users or restrict the medicalization/administration of their status as "mentally ill". As theoretical and methodological framework adopted the Marxist approach, which allowed a historical and theoretical review critical of mediations involving the relationship objectivity-subjectivity, in particular, the economic and social determinations present in contemporary capitalist sociability marked by job insecurity, increase social inequalities and trivialization of human from the obtaining of surplus value. The approach in mental health work and Seligmann-Silva and Dejours were also of paramount importance to an analysis of the widest possible data collected, in particular, studies of the harmful effects of the work process in the worker's subjectivity. The initial hypothesis of the research, which was confirmed, was that the changes in the working world, from the contemporary capitalist crisis, intensified the pace and working hours, precarious labor relations and consequently all dimensions of social life favoring the emergence of mental disorders and that such a phenomenon would be noticeable by the CAPS professionals. The elements of the world of work that impacted the mental health were: a lack of identification with work, competitive interpersonal relationships, poor facilities, stepping up the pace and working hours, lack of free time and social vulnerability. The survey also revealed that the deleterious effects of the new organization of work on mental health have shown extended to service professionals themselves, whose central element is the extension of the working day. Data on institutional responses show a tension between the actions favoring greater autonomy for users and actions focused on the administration \ medicalization of their status as "mentally ill", but with the hegemony of the first.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Violência homicida e a política de segurança pública no Brasil: um estudo de Marabá(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014-06-27) GOMES, Laura Michele Serrão Lima; MATHIS, Adriana de Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4097998262711403This dissertation aims to reflect on the growth of Homicidal Violence in Marabá and the Politics of Public Safety, from individuals working in public security institutions, as well as representatives of civil society working in advocacy in Maraba , southeast of Pará State.
