Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Brasileiros em situação clandestina na Guiana Francesa: uma etnografia das relações e representações sociais entre migrantes(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-06-15) MARTINS, Rosiane Ferreira; RODRIGUES, Carmem Izabel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5924616509771424This dissertation explores the lives of clandestine Brazilian migrants who seek socioeconomic opportunities in French Guyana. The migrants’ discourse is used as a platform to reflect on the field of social representations in this context as well as the meaning of cohabitation in a pluriethnic and multicultural society where social subjects construct their identities from knowledge--without necessarily knowing one another--and difference. This ethnography, then, focuses on economic, social, and identitarian aspects of Brazilian mobility, and aims to analyze the experience of undocumented workers, the obstacles they face, and the strategies they deploy to move in the city and obtain work, food, accommodation, etc. This study builds upon fieldwork undertaken with Brazilian migration networks between the Brazilian border at the city Oiapoque and the police control leading to Cayenne.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre a regra e as estratégias: uma abordagem antropológica do processo de escolha do cônjuge(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011-03-30) ALENCAR, Breno Rodrigo de Oliveira; RODRIGUES, Carmem Izabel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5924616509771424The work is a development of my monograph in which I try to analyze patterns of spouse choice in the interface between anthropological theory, ethnography and literature, with the field to analyze the interaction between individuals in the marriage process. The objective is to understand this phenomenon through the analysis of marriage records from 2376, where he studied the structure and profile of marriages that occurred in Belém, between 1995 and 2006. Seeking thus to evaluate the profiles of the spouses against the backdrop of social changes through which passed the Western societies in recent centuries, whose emergence of romantic literature, individualism as a value and different models of family arrangements, had a profound influence on the kind of choice affective-sexual individuals, and thus the ideal type of partner with whom they want / should marry. Methodologically the work is developed based on a review of anthropological literature that addresses the issue of marital school in social sciences, with emphasis on studies that support their historical and conceptual development; as well as a detailed analysis of the procedure of choice in the work of three British novelist Jane Austen ("Pride and Prejudice”, “Sense and Sensibility”, and “Emma”). It also highlights my research along the course of Groom of the Parish of Nossa Senhora de Nazaré, in Belém-PA, where I looked through the speech of its users, the experience of choice and sense of being chosen as a spouse. My proposal with this is trying to understand not only the selection profiles andspeeches about the spouse preference, but why they chose to view the conjugal union.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Sociabilidades no Mercado de Peixe do Ver-o-Peso durante o Círio de Nazaré(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-03-12) NASCIMENTO, Lícia Tatiana Azevedo do; RODRIGUES, Carmem Izabel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5924616509771424This paper aims to analyze some aspects of the practices carried out by fishmongers, rockers and glaciers from Ver-o-Peso through the sociability they perform. Assuming that the social practices are responsible for the signification or re-significations of the spaces, the Ver-o-Peso, the oldest commercial area of the city of Belém, is daily presented as a place for expressive activity of work, but eventually it is also a place of entertainment for those who work daily on it. From the festival, that takes place during the Círio de Nazaré in Belem, in order to render honors to the Saint, Our Lady of Nazareth, will be interpreted in the prism of an anthropological approach, the existed playful side in Ver-o-Peso. To perform the analysis, were carried out direct observation and interviews with those who work in the fish commercialization in Ver-o-Peso, more precisely in the Mercado de Ferro (Iron Market), as also known as Mercado de Peixe (Fish Market), which are responsible for carrying the Feast.
