Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A natureza complexa do patrimônio paleontológico da praia do Atalaia, munícipio de Salinópolis, Pará, Amazônia Oriental, Brasil(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-09-02) SILVA, Rayana Alexandra Sousa da; COSTA, Sue Anne Regina Ferreira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3629751361208856; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3314-5148In this research, we reflect on Paleontological Heritage as a specifically complex heritage category that is inserted in environmental, cultural and mineral policies. The analysis starts from a review of the transformations in the conceptions of cultural and natural heritage in Brazil, to problematize the various dimensions that interfere in the processes of heritage patrimonialization, besides contextualizing and reinforcing its social importance in a context of great complexity. We will look specifically at the paleontological heritage of Atalaia Beach, which is one of the main beach resorts in the state of Pará, receiving tourists from all over Brazil and the world every year. The region's patrimony is formed by an expressive fossil record from the Brazilian marine Cenozoic, dating from 23 to 25 m.y., representing the transgressive moment of advance and retreat of the Atlantic Ocean over the continent. The fossils found are mainly of marine invertebrates and vertebrates, such as manatees, rays, sharks, gastropods and fishes. Thus, the main objective of this work is to investigate and analyze the paleontological heritage of Atalaia Beach, seeking to relate and communicate among themselves the subjects, environmental context and cultural heritage. To this end, based on Morin, in the method that seeks complexity through the creation of avenues of approach, we carried out observations in different pheres: a public hearing for environmental licensing, an activity with elementary school teachers and an interview with a private collector of fossils. The results presented in the form of two articles point out that a) the use of this heritage follows a utilitarian logic of nature transformation; b) we highlight a complex network of environmental, economic and social issues that must be considered when any project of valorization, education or even of analysis of the paleontological heritage of Atalaia Beach is intended; c) we point out the urgent need to transform our practices in relation to paleontological heritage, so that we can think and act upon it in a more comprehensive way, conceiving it as a fundamental right which contributes to the full exercise of citizenship.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O carimbó e a representação da imagem para a salvaguarda do patrimônio cultural imaterial(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-02-22) AZEVEDO, Pierre de Aguiar; LINHARES, Anna Maria Alves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3081434819616255; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7548-9259This research aims to study the cultural manifestation of Carimbó paraense, Brazilian Intangible Cultural Heritage, a title granted in 2014 by the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (IPHAN). Since before the patrimonialization process until today, they started as actions to safeguard culture, which today count on the contribution of sectors of society, independent movements, social groups and associates that collaborate for the dissemination and valorization of this heritage. In this process, the use of imagery resources is intensified - photography, video and audiovisual production - which start to serve as instruments of representation of Carimbó's heritage, both by the communities that own the property and by institutions endowed with the power of legitimation. Therefore, this dissertation intends to analyze how the carimbozeiras communities represent themselves and are represented through the use of the image, in the preservation and safeguarding of the intangible heritage of Carimbó. For this, the forms of use of imaging technologies by the holders of the heritage property were investigated, identifying the agreements and conflicts that exist between the community and institutions, regarding the definition of what Carimbó represents. The polyphonic character of the narratives was considered, the discourses of power and the notion of truth of and in the carimbó were evaluated on the representation of this heritage among communities, in relation to society and before the State. Still, observing some semantic possibilities of the image, such as materialization of cultural heritage and artifact, memorial record and place of memory, subsidy for cultural policy and market product. They are sent as narratives and speeches by members of the carimbozeiro movement, gathered in an episodic collection from informal dialogues and introduced openly that take into account the importance they give to the technological resources of the image, as memorial records to safeguard intangible heritage cultural.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Casa de memória transxingu: patrimônio cultural digital como preservação de patrimônio cultural ameaçado(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-29) MARTINS, Alan David Bitencourt; HAMOY, Idanise Sant’Ana Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0136019251243788; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8339-4233Launched in 2003 by UNESCO, the Charter for the Preservation of Digital Heritage highlighted the importance of data preservation, since then efforts have been made to establish attractive principles that justify investments by governments and institutions to preserve this type of heritage, formed above all from the process of adopting digital information and communication technologies. In order to contribute to the discussion and understanding of this type of heritage and to collaborate with the construction of those principles, this work researched the process of creating the Collection of the Casa de Memória Transxingu, in Altamira, Pará, an essentially digital collection created to preserve the culture from the process of inventorying the cultural assets of the medium-low Xingu region, a way of compensating for the profound changes that the installation of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric Power Plant brought to the region. We show how the laws for the preservation of cultural heritage and the preservation of the environment were constructed and linked over time in order to preserve culture by determining the inventory of cultural assets in the region and detail the stages of idealization, projection and execution of the processes. of construction of the House of Memory, the inventory and assembly of the Museum Space intended to promote and preserve the Collection, discussing at each moment important points regarding the use of this type of heritage as a way of preserving cultural heritage, demonstrating how digital heritage can preserve cultural heritage by becoming a digital cultural heritage.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Tráfico ilícito de bens culturais e os desafios para a proteção do patrimônio documental: análise do furto à coleção de obras raras do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-06-30) NEVES, Inaiê del Castillo Andrade; SANJAD, Nelson Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9110037947248805; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6372-1185; HAMOY, Idanise Sant’Ana Azevedo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3847727774437903; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7111-912XThe research addresses the challenges for the protection of documentary heritage in the context of illicit trafficking of cultural property. As a focal object, it is proposed to analyze the limitations related to the investigation of the theft of 63 (sixty-three) works that took place in the Special Collection of Rare Works of the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, in 2008. Based on this analysis, it is intended to place this fact in the broader context of crimes against institutions that are custodians of documentary heritage assets in Brazil, which took place from the beginning of the 21st century onwards. In its methodology, it is a case study built from exploratory and descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, in which bibliographic and documentary sources were consulted. The theoretical framework is composed of interdisciplinary texts, covering several areas of knowledge relevant to the subject, such as Cultural Heritage, Law, Museology, Librarianship and Information Science.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Do esquecimento ao resgate histórico: as dinâmicas sociais e o processo de reorganização do patrimônio material dos veteranos de guerra do Pará na AECB-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-02-07) MACHADO, Lucas Carnevale; COSTA, Diogo Menezes; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3938588690473816; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4220-8232This series of works is aimed at discussing, from the conceptual perspective of cultural heritage science, both the inventory process and the various dynamics that involve the process of abandonment and safeguarding of the Associação de Ex-combatentes do Brasil archives, Pará division (AECB-PA), in which a large part was lost by human or climate actions. The articles in which the work was divided present aspects attached to matters such as social issues, the historical construction of the archives, as well as internal and external views on the group of war veterans from Pará. This materiality contributed to analyzing the relationships, sometimes harmonious, sometimes conflicting, of the social group that produced this heritage with society, and the subsequent process of neglect and abandonment; it was necessary to address issues related to collective memory, individual narratives in addition to discussions about the comradeship space, and the social and original role of material traces of war veterans from Pará. In order to carry out this procedure, the archives were analyzed through multidisciplinary approaches of cultural heritage, related to archeology and history, by analyzing data, quantifying the documentary universe, such as the analysis of traces of the institutional abandonment, and historical narratives constructed by the veterans themselves
