Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Brasileiros em situação clandestina na Guiana Francesa: uma etnografia das relações e representações sociais entre migrantes(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-06-15) MARTINS, Rosiane Ferreira; RODRIGUES, Carmem Izabel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5924616509771424This dissertation explores the lives of clandestine Brazilian migrants who seek socioeconomic opportunities in French Guyana. The migrants’ discourse is used as a platform to reflect on the field of social representations in this context as well as the meaning of cohabitation in a pluriethnic and multicultural society where social subjects construct their identities from knowledge--without necessarily knowing one another--and difference. This ethnography, then, focuses on economic, social, and identitarian aspects of Brazilian mobility, and aims to analyze the experience of undocumented workers, the obstacles they face, and the strategies they deploy to move in the city and obtain work, food, accommodation, etc. This study builds upon fieldwork undertaken with Brazilian migration networks between the Brazilian border at the city Oiapoque and the police control leading to Cayenne.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) “Como uma comunidade”: formas associativas em Santo Antonio/PA: imbricações entre parentesco, gênero e identidade(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-03) COSTA, Rita de Cássia Pereira da; MOTTA-MAUÉS, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861116876230464This work examines the social, political and cultural relationship of a rural group self-defined and identified as quilombola. The objective is to understand how these social agents work out their everyday practices and develop associative ways in Santo Antonio village, at the town of Concordia, State of Pará. This analysis of the behaviour of men and women in this process tries to understand the interactions between kinship, gender and identity as a constituent of that social system.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As condições de vida no trabalho e a saúde de professores de educação física do município de Belém(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010) FREITAS, Rogério Gonçalves de; ALBERTO, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6573765054270368This investigation had the objective to analyze the work and health conditions of the physical education teachers from city of Belem State of Para. For this, it was necessary to understand how the health of these teachers was affected by the precariousness of work processes in the contemporary capitalism. It was organized a theoretical framework to support the debate in question. Initially it was refered to the 70‟s capitalism crisis, which it was characterized as the Oil crisis. In the second moment, it was emphasized the policies of economical and political adjustments that reflected in the basic structure of the education functioning. The reordering capital demands modifications in understanding the education‟s role of a country, so it was showed how the most general policy affects Brazilian‟s education and teacher‟s life. It was in this budge that was analyzed, through the data found during the field research, the work conditions of these teachers having as variables workday, salary, number of classes, workplaces, etc. Finally it was analyzed about the teacher‟s health, indentifying the main problems such as diseases, work accidents, the relationship they have with the health insurance offered by the city hall, frequency of visits to the doctor, etc. This study was applied 22 questionnaires, 11 females and 11 males. From the 11 female teachers, 2 had participated of the interview. As results of this investigation it was possible to infer: a) the precarious work process of the physical education teachers had been showed extremely clear and with consequences for the life and health of these teachers; b) the violence phenomenon in the schools is a fundamental part of the precarious work process of the teachers; c) speech-language problems were the most visible one, besides mental illness. Through reading other searchers about the precarious work and health condition, it is possible to conjecture about this issue; e) The biggest occupational disease rates refers to female teachers, ratifying that in the precarious world of work this trend of illness is prevalent. It is concluded that is necessary the creation of autonomous spaces for reflection and action about the theme of teacher‟s work and health inside the public schools. But first, it is necessary to think the possibility of the formation and construction of militant teacher, which it can be the subject of these transformations. Then, it is the teacher‟s work as historical subject for the process of necessary rupture of the capital in crisis.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) "É a festa das aparelhagens!": performances culturais e discursos sociais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-04) LIMA, Andrey Faro de; MOTTA-MAUÉS, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861116876230464This work is a research about the called festas de aparelhagem that, in generic way, are inserted in the set of festive popular promoted by aparelhagens, undertakings identified by the use of pomps electronic/sounds structure and differentiated by the “style” of parties that propose, the audience that attract and by his dimensions and different outlines. The festas de aparelhagem shape a wide and well-known scenary in Belém, through the relations that establish between audience, party and aparelhagens, marked by certain symbolic articulation that unfold for besides the festive moment properly stated. In these terms, this dissertation constitutes an interpretative study on the relation existent between the dynamic of reproduction aesthetic/performative of the festas de aparelhagem and the different hues semantic/discursive that these acquired: publicly (your communication in the large mídias) and in plans more intersubjectives, where there emerge the protagonists (audience/aparelhagens) of this universe.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre crianças em Belém – Pará: o dito na convivência com a AIDS(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006-02-15) PARENTE, Francilene de Aguiar; ANTONAZ, Diana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7547028254641362The purpose of this dissertation is to study if, and by which means, children living with HIV/aids perceive their condition mainly, but not only, by means of bodily evidences causing changes in daily life. The comparison with the life of other children, added to bodily experience, allows the construction of a meaningful world, which functions as a counterpoint to silence. Mother-son relationship is to be emphasised as the main focus of this research, in which, both verbal and non-verbal categories are considered, as means of apprehending reality. The use of qualitative methods reveals silence as a meaningful code.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Entre maracás, curimbas e tambores: pajelanças nas religiões afro-brasileiras(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007-03) QUINTAS, Gianno Gonçalves; MAUÉS, Raymundo Heraldo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0915136632611666The purpose of this dissertation is to study the pajelança in the city of Belém, place where most of the accomplished studies if it concentrates in the decade of 1970 and 1980, or it has as investigation locus the countryside of the state of Pará. Some articles of Vicente Salles (1969) and Napoleão Figueiredo (1994) point to disappearance of the "pure" pajelança in Belém. This disappearance was due, in great measure, to the “influence” of the umbanda. Thus, the objective is to understand, starting from the study of four terreiros, as that practice is constituted in the city of Belém under the context of the Afro-Brazilian religions. The pajelança or “pena e maracá”, as it is known, is characterized, basically, in the faith of "encantados", that "incorporate", during the rituals, in the pajé, who is the central character of the sessions.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Folia de São Benedito: um estudo de mudança em uma manifestação religiosa na comunidade do Silêncio do Matá(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-10) VIEIRA, Daniel Hudson Carvalho; FURTADO, Lourdes Gonçalves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1828475659148260This study deals with structural changes associated with religious manifestations, in particular one known as the Folia de São Benedito, held in Silêncio do Matá, a community of Obidos, in Pará. It is shown here that Folia de São Benedito exhibits classic properties of popular Catholicism. However, based on actual observations, it is argued that the changes observed in this particular Folia is not only driven by exogenous factors, but also orquestrated by community members, yielding a connotative application of its original meaning.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Os japoneses no Pará: um estudo sobre a formação de identidades(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2007) SILVA NETO, Francisco Rodrigues da; ANTONAZ, Diana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7547028254641362This MD paper studies the socialization of the descendent generations os Japanese immigrants born in the colony of Tomé-Açú/PA starting from the understanding of the meaning and representation of the (e)immigration, as well as the means by which they are inserted in the Brazilian and Pará’s society and, to establish the explanatory links forms by which families socialize the new generations. The analysis of the empiric material is based on the paths of life of the immigrant families that impelled by extreme poverty in Japan immigrated to the state of Pará settling in the colony of Tomé-Açú. It is reconstitutes the. families kinship networks from their departure from Japan, it is poissible to unveil the reproduction of values and perceptions in the sociability networks that will allow immigrants and their descendants to insert themselves in social local domain.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Modo de vida na várzea: políticas sociais e nova ruralidade: estudo em uma localidade da Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustentável Mamirauá(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010) CORRÊA, Dávila Suelen Souza; MOURA, Edila Arnaud Ferreira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2154370107837866This dissertation is a study on the sustainable development measures and policies for small non-agricultural rural populations, from the 80s and 90s. With the policies reaching the countryside, the state is more present in the smaller regions resizing the countryside and its local dynamics. In this sense, emerges a new rural with the policy actions that reach the most distant population exposing their way of life to new situations. This study aimed to analyze changes in social and economic organization of the inhabitants of rural population of Vila Alencar in the Mamirauá Reserve for Sustainable Development (MRDS), Amazonas State, due to the foundation of a Sustainable Development Reserve (SDR) and institutionalized actions by state policies. The theoretical analysis was based on the theories of habitus and socio-environmental field Reserve Mamirauá. There were also analysis among families from the time of marital union, in order to identify the changes between two generations. It was discovered in this study that the family organization in Vila Alencar is developed taking into account local practices and also participate in the interventionist actions through social policies through the Family Grant Program, the rural pension and activities around the sustainable management of resources natural, these are mainly associated with the ecotourism management, such as the provision like tour guide, kitchen helpers, maid and carpentry for the ecotourism lodge of MRDS. The combination of agricultural, nonagricultural and supplementary income from social benefits have an important role in the composition of household income, which brings new perspectives to social reproduction. The study concludes that sustainable development policies and the policies of social benefits become pro-family organization on rural areas modernizing the characteristics of features and attractive urban comfort, particularly the expectation of buying a house in town and better conditions for qualification for the children to thrive in any profession. To young people are delegated other responsibilities that do not go within the productive context of family labor.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Negócios sagrados: reciprocidade e mercado no Círio de Nazaré(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2006) PANTOJA, Vanda Maria Leite; MAUÉS, Raymundo Heraldo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0915136632611666This work discusses the organization of one of the larger saint’s Catholic feasts of Brazil: the Círio of Our Lady of Nazareth, in Belém, Pará. Using the Religious Market Paradigm and the Gift Theory, I propose to evaluate the celebration, taking as point of departure an analysis of the Diretoria da Festa, which is the institution that promotes the religious celebration. The purpose of this evaluation is to point out the convergence between the two theories. Throughout the work, I discuss the genesis and the expansion of the celebration, and the relation between the Diretoria da Festa and the devotees of Our Lady of Nazareth.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Ser-para-o-mundo, salvação pela política: um estudo sobre a vontade de salvação pela política no movimento ecumênico em Belém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2008-11-04) SILVA, André Luiz Martins da; MAUÉS, Raymundo Heraldo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0915136632611666This dissertation has as an object of study the ecumenical movement formed by Christian churches in the city of Belém. It was focused in a specific way a historical beginning of the movement in this city. In the description that was done here, it was used the symbolical anthropology as a methodology of interpretation of data. It was understood that the prison of priests and possessed people, in the city of São Geraldo in the 1980’s, as a founded event of the ecumenical movement. The history is explored in the point of view of this relation with the culture, in this way the history obtains a symbolical meaning to the religious practice of the ecumenism between Christian churches.
