Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Cartilha educativa sobre saúde óssea para pessoas que vivem com Diabetes Mellitus(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-06-21) KHALED, Isabel Jane Campos Lobato; QUEIROZ, Natércia Neves Marques; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5359261920325026Diabetes Mellitus has been linked to poorer bone health, leading to a higher risk of fractures in people living with diabetes. DM affects bone health in various ways. To prevent and manage bone problems in patients, some strategies need to be adopted, such as strict glycemic control, a diet with adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D, and physical exercises with an emphasis on strengthening activities. The educational approach values popular experiences and promotes the individual's autonomy in self-care. The aim of this study was to develop an educational booklet with the purpose of generating knowledge for the individual, using a descriptive-exploratory methodology to develop a lightweight health technology. The material was produced using easily understandable language and objective images.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Construção de um protocolo de exercícios físicos para o atendimento a pessoas com diabetes mellitus tipo 2: revisão rápida(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-08-30) RIBEIRO, Andressa Karoline Pinto de Lima; TORRES, Natáli Valim Oliver Bento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1927198788019996; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0978-211XType 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2) accounts for 90-95% of all diabetes cases. This form covers individuals with relative insulin deficiency and peripheral insulin resistance. Physical exercise is an efficient therapeutic strategy for the treatment of people with DM2 as it contributes to glycemic control, as well as reducing cardiovascular risk factors, increasing physical fitness, contributing to body weight control and improving people's quality of life. Objective: Formulate a physical exercise protocol aimed at health professionals for the treatment and maintenance of glycemic control of adults with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Methodology: The study consists in the elaboration of the protocol from a rapid review in search of studies who investigated the effects of physical exercise on the glycemic control of adults with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2) to analyze which exercise parameters (modality, frequency, volume, intensity, interval and progression) are recommended to achieve better glycemic control in the population of interest. The PICOT strategy was adopted for the elaboration of the inclusion criteria of the studies and the PRISMA protocol for the writing of the manuscript. PubMed and LILACS databases were used. The study selection process took place through 4 steps: identification, selection by title and abstract, eligibility assessment and inclusion. Two authors independently extracted data on population, intervention and outcome from each study, and the extracted information was organized into tables. The methodological quality of each study was analyzed based on the PEDro scale (PROSPERO - CRD 42021262614). Results: From a total of 1152 articles, 17 studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. A total of 1,141 (745 in exercise groups and 396 in sedentary control groups) people with T2DM were included. Regarding the type of study, 15 (88.2%) were randomized clinical trials and 2 (11.8%) were non-randomized clinical trials. The age of patients ranged from 45.6 to 61.7 years. The mean intervention time was 17 weeks, ranging from 9 to 48 weeks. Six studies 35.3% reported that no adverse events occurred during the intervention, two (11.8%) reported some event and nine (52.9%) did not present any information. The theoretical basis obtained from the rapid review and other studies supported the construction of a guidance protocol for professionals about physical exercise as a treatment for DM2 and management of glycemic control. The following elements were elaborated: frameworks of concepts, flowcharts and explanatory texts constructed with objective and easy-to-understand language as didactic tools in order to assist in the outpatient routine of professionals responsible for prescribing exercises in the management of patients treated at all levels of care of the Unified Health System (SUS). Discussion: Aerobic, resistance and combined training are associated with decreases in HbA1c, fasting glucose or postprandial glucose. however, combined training should be prioritized as they appear to have greater effects on glycemic control than either method alone. Conclusion: The protocol created from this review aims to offer professionals working at the various levels of health care in the SUS, updated, objective information, presented in a didactic way about physical exercise as a form of treatment for DM2. It is recommended that physical exercise protocols include both resistance and aerobic exercise, as their effects are greater on glycemic control than either method alone.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Controle glicêmico e automonitorização da glicemia capilar: uma cartilha regionalizada para o paciente diabético(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-02-04) CAVALCANTE, Regina do Socorro Oliveira Pinheiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0014255351015569; FELÍCIO, Karem Miléo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5289063715182942Diabetes mellitus is today a health problem worldwide, bringing serious micro and macrovascular complications when not properly treated; it is considered a difficult disease to control because its treatment requires changes in several aspects of the individual's life. Treatment consists of trying to maintain glycemic control, that is, maintaining blood glucose levels in the body in acceptable proportions; it requires discipline so that the medications are used correctly; changes in eating habits, maintaining a healthy diet, following an individual eating plan prescribed by a competent professional, and abandoning physical inactivity with the performance of regular physical activities. Glycemic control can be performed through periodic blood tests such as fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, and also through selfmonitoring, where the patient himself works by assessing his blood glucose levels daily and adjusting insulin amounts as instructed by his doctor. The self-monitoring techniques and parameters are passed on to the patient through Health Education, by the team responsible for their monitoring. Observing the importance of the diabetic patient maintaining glycemic control, aiming to prevent complications of the disease, we sought to carry out this study, which has as main objective, the production of a regionalized booklet for the patient containing the main guidelines on glycemic control and self-monitoring of capillary blood glucose, with easy-tounderstand language and illustrations that help them understand; the information was obtained through a literature review. It is intended to implement the booklet in primary health care, in Belém-PA, first with instructions on the subject to the health team that is working, so that the booklet is passed on to the user with appropriate information and clarifications.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Educação permanente em saúde: mecanismo indutor do processo educativo no cotidiano do trabalho(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-02-29) DIAS, Geyse Aline Rodrigues; LOPES, Márcia Maria Bragança; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6740484061412959The study aims to reveal the development of health continuing education proposal (EPS) on a Pará municipality, identifying difficulties and their influence in the educational process in health work daily, in view of the need to discuss on the National Policy of Permanent Education in health (PNEPS) in order to modify the practices, qualify the health care, to evaluate their influences and reflexes to consolidation of the Unified health System (SUS). In the theoretical referential, are used the assumptions of liberating pedagogical concept of Paulo Freire. Participated in the study forty-three (43) subjects, including coordinators and other health professionals involved in permanent education proposals in the Benevides-PA municipality. It consists a study of holistic single case, from a qualitative approach and, according to its objectives, with an explanatory and descriptive strategy (YIN, 2005). The data collection period was from February to June 2014, through focused interview guided by Yin (2015), from the use of interview protocol. Was used to analyze a general analytical strategy named "Couting on theoretical propositions," directed by Yin (2015), founded on the theoretical propositions of Continuing Education in Health and Educational Process in the Labour Everyday Health, followed by analytical procedure Strauss; Corbin (2008), from which emerged a total of three (03) categories, which are : "Understanding on Permanent Education in Health", "Process of Continuing Health Education experienced in Labor Daily", "Importance of Continuing Education in Daily the work in Health "; eight (08) subcategories, namely: "Concept of Continuing Education in Health", "Objective of Continuing Education in Health", "Demands of actions to be taken", "Development of Permanent Education Project Health"; "Development of the actions of Continuing Education in Health", "Difficulties in the development of the actions of Continuing Health Education", "Evaluation of the actions of Continuing Education in Health" and "Influence of Continuing Education in Health in daily work." The results showed that the development of EPS proposal deployed in the city is in its initial phase, because from that guides the PNEPS, interaction and coordination is essential between the levels of government, health workers, education and the community, however , was evidenced of a vertical relationship process, management hierarchical and centralized, with a predominance of traditional educational processes, the transfer of information with little or no process of critical reflection of reality. It is understood that the municipality is experiencing a challenging phase implementation of EPS, in this perspective, it is suggested to prioritize and create more moments and collective spaces, and dialogic participatory planning with all stakeholders, so as to foster horizontal processes of health production, preparation and development of problem-solving educational activities, critical and reflective, that meet the real needs of workers and users, as well as contribute to the motivation and professional appreciation , developing and expanding the services and collaborating effectively with the SUS consolidation.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Elaboração e validação semântica de tecnologia educacional sobre sífilis para mulheres ribeirinhas da Amazônia(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-07-11) FERNANDES, Ticianne Alcântara de Oliveira; ABEN-ATHAR, Cintia Yolette Urbano Pauxis; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8844398079793605; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6951-3547The riverside population tends to have a high prevalence of sexually transmitted infections, related to behavioral and social vulnerabilities, especially low education, which makes it difficult to promote sexual health. In this sense, educational health technologies, when validated, are allies in the process of disseminating quality and safe information. Objective: This study aimed to elaborate and validate the semantics of a booklet on syphilis based on the knowledge of riverside women. Study methods: This is a methodological research carried out in three stages, namely: development of educational technology in health; application of the pilot test on the island of Maracujazinho, in the municipality of Acará and validation of the semantics by the target audience on the island of Combu, in Belém do Pará. Result: The elaboration stage was carried out based on the situational diagnosis, for the selection of the generating theme, and by an integrative literature review, which identified the booklet-type printed health educational technology as adequate to address the theme. In the pilot test, carried out with 22 riverside women, the technology was evaluated, where a semantic validity index equal to 1 was obtained, that is, with 100% agreement of the answers in all blocks of questions of the evaluation questionnaire. In the third stage, the semantic validation was carried out with 23 women from the island of Combu, where a semantic validity index of 1 was obtained, that is, 100% agreement using the same evaluation questionnaire as the pilot test. Conclusion:The educational technology needed adjustment only in the quality of the printing paper, its other requirements were considered appropriate and satisfactory. The booklet can be considered valid semantically to address the issue of syphilis with riverside women. In the future, the booklet will receive validation of the reliability and stability of the content by expert judges in the area of health and other higher education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Estratégias educacionais em saúde para mitigar o estigma da tuberculose sofrido pelos pacientes e familiares: revisão integrativa de literatura(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-08-24) AZEVEDO, Leyvilane Libdy; GONÇALVES, Lucia Hisako Takase; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6191152585879205; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5172-7814; POLARO, Sandra Helena Isse; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7875594038005793; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5026-5080INTRODUCTION: Tuberculosis is an infectious disease, caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is one of the oldest diseases that has received several different meanings according to the historical period. The precarious social conditions of most carriers require commitment, involvement and recognition of their impact on the various dimensions of human life from health services, requiring the perception of these issues and the understanding of their possible influence in the search for health services. OBJECTIVE: The present study aims to analyze educational health strategies aimed at destigmatizing tuberculosis among patients and their families. CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK: The concept of Evidence Based Practice and Stigma approached by Goffmann was used as a conceptual framework. METHOD: This is an Integrative Literature Review RIL about studies on educational health strategies aimed at destigmatizing tuberculosis among patients and their families. This was carried out in six stages, namely: elaboration of the research question; sampling; categorization of studies; evaluation of studies; interpretation of results; and presentation of the review. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: A total of 429 studies were identified, duplicate ones were excluded, resulting in 266 articles. After reading the abstracts and applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 40 studies were pre-selected. Of these, 12 were excluded for not being in open access mode. Then, a careful reading of the other articles was carried out, of which 6 were selected to compose the sample of this integrative review. After thorough reading and data collection of the articles included in the IR, the following thematic categories related to the object of study emerged: Stigma, myths and concepts; and Educational health strategies. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Based on the results found, educational strategies aimed at patients and family members are pointed out as the best way to reduce stigma in this nucleus. The study pointed out weaknesses regarding the findings that deal with educational strategies aimed at this binomial, since only 6 articles were identified, the majority with a low level of evidence. The low production of Brazilian studies allows a reflection on the need to develop research and broader national discussions on the implementation of strategies with the aim of reducing the stigma associated with the disease.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Exercício físico e controle glicêmico em pacientes com diabetes mellitus tipo 1: uma revisão rápida e proposta de material informativo e didático(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-08-28) OLIVEIRA, Adriana Alves; TORRES, Natáli Valim Oliver Bento; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1927198788019996; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0978-211XDiabetes Mellitus (DM), which is characterized by a metabolic disorder that causes hyperglycemia in affected patients, is currently one of the major public health problems, as it affects more and more people around the world and generates increasingly high costs. . Among its classifications, there is Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM1), which is the focus pathology of our study. DM1 may have an unknown or autoimmune origin, attacking the beta cells of the pancreas, which produce insulin, the hormone responsible for capturing glucose into the cells. As a result, glucose is not captured to generate energy, causing hyperglycemia in the body, in addition to not controlling hepatic gluconeogenesis. People who have DM1 can present different types of complications, whether micro (nephropathies, neuropathies, retinopathies) or macrovascular (coronary diseases and/or stroke), hence the importance of promoting adequate glycemic control in these patients, in order to prevent such complications. For this, several studies have shown that in addition to a balanced diet and drug treatment, it is important to include regular physical exercise in the routine of patients with this metabolic syndrome. Therefore, the objective of this work was to analyze the effects of physical exercises on the glycemic control of patients with DM1, through a quick review of the literature (PROSPERO nº CRD42021277762), to develop an informative booklet for professionals who work with such patients, in addition to the creation of didactic material for discussion on the introduction of physical exercises in the routine of people with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (CAAE 39536920.5.0000.0017). Our review of the literature points out that, regardless of the modality practiced, performing physical exercises has several health benefits, such as reduced medication dosage, improved physical well-being, cardiovascular conditioning, improved insulin resistance, lipid profile, among others. others. From the theoretical basis through a quick review and reading of guiding positions and documents from societies, in addition to reading recent and relevant articles for the care of the person with diabetes, an informative booklet was built aimed at health professionals and didactic material for discussion about the introduction of physical exercises in the routine of people with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. The booklet has two main parts: a first theoretical part, constructed in an objective and synthetic way, composed of information about diabetes, its pathophysiology, main complications and the effects of physical exercise on people with DM1, in addition to a flowchart to guide the decision on the indication and safety for the practice of physical exercises according to blood glucose and risk factors. The second part of the booklet was constructed in an illustrative way to configure itself as a didactic instrument for the discussion with health professionals about the necessary information and care, prior to the beginning of an exercise program, in order to guarantee patient safety. This second part was composed of dialogues between the character Bete (person with DM1) and the professional (Dr. Cinesia).Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Letramento funcional em saúde dos idosos acerca de acidentes por queda e sua prevenção(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12) NEVES, Aline Bento; GONÇALVES, Lucia Hisako Takase; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6191152585879205; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5172-7814; ARAÚJO, Eliete da Cunha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5906453187927460; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1312-4753Background: Fall accidents, especially amongst the elderly, are considered to be events of external cause of deaths that are responsible for about five million deaths each year, which represents about 9% of the worldwide mortality. In Brazil, this event is the third cause of death. Health literacy relates to knowledge, motivation, and one’s competence in searching, comprehending and analyzing health related information so they can eventually make decisions over health promotion, disease prevention and improvement in quality of life. Aim: Finding out the level of health literacy amongst an elderly group on the topic of fall accidents and its prevention. Methods: This is an exploratory-descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The participants are 80 elderly that were also public square goers, from these, 40 elderly were interviewed in the Public Square A (located in a middle class neighborhood) and the other forty were interviewed in Public Square B (located in a low-income neighborhood). The interviews used the instrument “Health Literacy”, translated and adapted by Lisiane Paskulin et al. for use within the Brazilian scenario. The sociodemographic data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The qualitative analysis over the content of the responses to the open questions were categorized according to its different dimensions, considering its nature and frequency. The research project was approved by UFPA - Hospital Barros Barreto’s Research Ethics Committee, under the protocol number 2.095.048. Results: In between both groups there was a predominance of the female gender. A higher formal education rate was found amongst the elderly interviewed in the Public Square A, with the years of formal education varying from 5 to 9 (62,5%), against 1 to 4 years of formal education amongst the elderly found in Public Square B (42,5%). The majority of the elderly in both public squares were house owners. The analysis of the health literacy data was distributed in five dimensions: finding fall accidents information, comprehending fall accidents information, sharing fall accidents information, repercussion of the fall accidents information to the elder, and participation in health education groups. Health literacy in both the middle class neighborhood group and in the low income neighborhood group reached a low level. Conclusion: The low level of health literacy over fall accidents and its prevention was found to be a very important lack in health education. The low percentage of responses from the elderly when questioned over the different dimensions of health literacy revealed an apparent conformity and passivity over general health information.
