The present work is a study on the travestytis that live of prostitution in the streets of Belem, state of Para, Brazil. The venal activity that guarantees the sustenance to them admittedly is practiced in the avenues Almirante Barroso and Assis de Vasconcelos, located respectively in the Marco and the Campina’s boroughs. These public ways function as two important corridors of traffic of vehicles of the city, being therefore ideal to trottoir them. The empirical data collected through interviews and field notes had served to the intention of knowing the reality where these professionals of the sex live, which consolidates as hypothesis the idea that their androgynous appearance turns them citizens socio-devaluated with direct implications in their citizenship. It is revealing in this direction, the lack of public politics to this social segment in a way that they fit in the homosexuality concept, especially while a more generic category to explain the desire and the love among people of the same sex. Both in national and local levels, it is possible to verify attempts of implementation of public politics in the form of antidiscriminatory laws that aim not only to benefit gays, but also to the lesbians and travestytis, however these social categoris have been target of resistances of contrary parliamentarians to the advance of the citizenship of these citizens. Among others things, it was evidenced in this direction that the construction of the citizenship for the travestytis in the city is dependent of the performance of the Homosexual Movement of Belem (HMB) in the political mobilization towards rights, as they are not organized such as occurs in other Brazilian capitals. Therefore, one understands that there is a lot to advance regarding social and civil guarantees, so these androgynous citizens, popularly known as "dolls", in fact and through right can become citizens.

In 1983, in the city of Belém-PA, the death of a homosexual known as Klaus Keller took over the pages of the Pará press, a death that would be revisited throughout the 80s. This narrative would be exposed in the pages of newspapers during the period of the "second wave" of the Brazilian homosexual movement and in the context of the process of re-democratization of the Brazilian state, after the Civil-Military Dictatorship (1964-1985). This led to a more critical press, with judgments condemning the actions of the police in the case, as well as explicit judgments about the victim's sexuality. However, on the other hand, there was a demand for the case to be solved, considering that Klaus was a homosexual of explicit sexuality and well-known in Belém. The Província do Pará, O Liberal and Diário do Pará were the main press outlets in Pará that wrote his story. In order to understand this publication, I used the concepts of popular and/or sensationalist press, both to understand the ways in which they disseminated news and the way in which they sold it. In addition, it was noted that this story could lead to a debate on bio-politics and necropolitics, considering state control and micro-powers over the sexual and racial identities present in the narratives. That said, this dissertation started from the present by traveling to the past, and found similar ends there. In other words, the deaths of homosexuals in the present turned out to be similar. In other words, the deaths of homosexuals in the present were similar to those in the past. In this work with press sources, it was found that the discourse has changed little, and the murders as well.

This thesis is born from the desire to understand artistic practice, especially those that engage in direct dialogue with sexual and gender diversity, as processes that take place in the realm of Art & Life and, therefore, through insurgencies and insubordinations, generate possible paths for the tensioning of the device of violence and surveillance of gender and sexuality, that is, LGBTfobia/homophobia. To this end, I explore the notion of artistic self-creation (LAVAND 2021) as a research trajectory, focusing on a series of artistic experiences that transit between creative processes and community experiences, which can be read as LGBTQIAPN+ artistic practices, experienced by me between 2019 and 2023. As theoretical support, I dialogue with three main artist-researchers from the Pará Amazon and some key concepts of their theories practices: Ana Flávia Mendes (2010) and the "Immanent Body", Mayrla Andrade Ferreira and the "Creator Inhabitant" and Rosangela Colares Lavand (2021), with the aforementioned "Artistic Self-Creation", as well as authors from the field of gender and sexuality studies such as Daniel Borrillo (2016), Regina Facchini(2003), among others, to materialize lines of force between this research and its social function as an artivist for human rights, specifically the right to existence of the LGBTQIAPN+ community with its folds and intersections. Thus, as a thesis, I argue that the act of thinking-through-art is capable of tensing the cis-heteropatriarchy by inventing other modes of existence through the artistic self-creation present in LGBTQIAPN+ artistic practices, in which there is a body that occupies and incessantly creates itself, being a process in which the artist is implicated in and with the poetic act in which, at the same time that it transforms itself, transforms the world. A body that, in its artistic creations and feats, is also in the process of creating itself. A Self-Creating Occupying Body

The article aims to observe memories on homosexuals in Folha do Norte newspaper at the beginning of the first two decades of the 20th century in Belém, Pará. The study takes into account both a historical and an exploratory perspective, as mention of homosexuality in media is not so new and discourses about the homosexual are inscribed in a network of memories of which media are a constitutive part, as they allow us to access such network, partially or not. James Green’s takes on homosexuality are our theoretical framework, which highlights Carnival as a typical time for news about the presence of homosexuals in the streets. We observed 57 issues of Folha do Norte in the February 1901 and 1911, within which we found four texts that dealt with the theme, becoming part of our corpus analysis. Folha’s utterances on the social settings present nature-like scenarios to address a presence of homosexual and homoerotic practices.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2011) GONÇALVES, Telma Amaral; MOTTA-MAUÉS, Maria Angélica; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7861116876230464
This study has as its focus the discourses about love and loving practices experienced by dyads that constitute two partnerships in specific universes – the heterossexual and homossexual, both belonging to the urban middle classes. He falls in the field of more recent studies on the gender approach focusing on the new settings that affective and sexual relationships have assumed nowadays. In this sense, my interest about that subject was to investigate the discourse of partnership affairs, the idea of love (this love) and his expression in daily life which enabled me to identify its different versions and translations, as well as the approximations, defferences and ambiguities in the discourse and practice of love.

Homossexualidade e o contexto educacional paraense: a importância de políticas públicas específicas
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-09) SIMONIAN, Ligia Terezinha Lopes; CRUZ, Jasson Iran Monteiro da
Through this paper it is discussed the importance of the creation and the implementation of a Coordination to deal with GLBT education in the context the Education Secretary of the State of Para. Especially in the political sphere, it is known in such State the GLBT do not persist in formal education, which weak them as individuals and citizens. Documental and bibliographic research was done (involving mainly Law, public policies and social movements), as well as it was incorporated existing research material of the authors that were produced in Para and in the Amazon. So, it is evidenced not only the necessity of an affirmative paraense public policy to the GLBT, which is essential to the empowerment of such citizens vis-à-vis themselves, the society and the State.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-11-05) CARNEIRO, Thiago Lima; RAIOL, Raimundo Wilson Gama; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6271053538285645
In this master's thesis, the issue of discrimination against the homosexual subject is discussed through the relation between homosexuality, parenting and assisted reproduction. It seeks to analyze to what extent the parental rights of the homosexual person are vilified by social practice and state powers. For this, the work is divided into three chapters: the first deals with the role of the State in the construction and reproduction of a heterosexist social reality, and how this dominant logic, based on a system of oppositions, is decisive for the subjection of individuals who do not follow the hegemonic sexual order. The perpetuation of this rationality unfolds in discriminations and social marginalizations that prevent the homosexual person from exercising his rights equally to other citizens. Only in the last years has been seen a more egalitarian treatment in relation to these individuals in Brazil, with the recognition of some rights claimed, such as the possibility of contracting marriage. The purpose of the second chapter is to evaluate the current family situation protected by the Brazilian legal system and to examine the framework given by the decision of the Federal Supreme Court to recognize the homoaffective union as a family entity. The third and final chapter deals with homoaffective parenting in the context of assisted reproduction, with emphasis on the specificities of this scenario, legal protection and access to reproductive technologies. The research and development of the dissertation was based on the doctrinal construction related to the subject, based on relevant scientific books and articles, documental analysis and semi-structured interviews directed to professionals working in the area of human reproduction. Finally, it is concluded that the validity of a heterosexist hegemonic order has a substantial impact on the enjoyment of the parental rights of the homosexual person, either by discriminating against the family dynamics or by compelling them to submit to the dominant living standards, interfering with their freedom of exercising parenthood.

Homosexual behavior in animal species has been seen as a challenge to the evolution theory. Although a non-reproductive response, homosexuality persists in the species. Several hypotheses on homosexuality s evolutionary advantages have been proposed by many authors but they all contain contrary aspects, at least when human beings are concerned. Current suggestion states that since homosexuality is not genetically determined, no survival value is required. Homosexual behavior pattern would be an evolutionary byproduct of pleasure as an essential consequence of the sexual act to favor reproduction and to maintain links between partners. Although still a preliminary proposal, the statement pinpoints new trends in interpretation and investigation within the relationship between homosexuality and evolutionism.

It is inside of this closet that this research aims to investigate my theatrical stagings, wich i consider my immanence and composition soil. They are as follows: Ao Vosso Ventre (2012), Amem! (2013) and Santa Pocilga de Misericórdia (2014). From the realization of what I call Trilogy of the Closet, having as methodological north the four variations of the attention of the cartographer, I intend to imply an approximation of the theoretical reflection on Self-Care of the discussion about the craft of theater director in the city of Bethlehem to then investigate how my theatrical stagings, already mentioned can be defended as a practice of freedom, a lifestyle, which implies an ethical and aesthetic existence. I follow accompanied by the Nietzsche and Foucault's philosophical thoughts to answer a starter question: Is it possible to think the theatrical staging processes of a gay artist as a practice of freedom committed to a process of stylization of life? I think there is a line that runs through these three staging processes where I can find many similarities and differences that point to a stylization of life. My theatrical stagings transform my process of getting out of the closet in an invitation to problematize the very act of hiding in the closet in first place.
