The present study identified the existing socio-environmental conflicts and the main problems of environmental management in Vila de Camará, in the Marine Ext activist Reserve (RESEX) “Mestre Lucindo”. In this perspective, the relevance of this work consists of analyzing a community within a recently established Amazon Conservation Unit (UC) situation, which shares a great natural resources wealth. Considering that RESEX is in the management initial stages, the reflection on the existence of such conflicts and the measures taken by the managing body, in the figure of ICMBio, as well as the proposal of strategies capable of reducing such conflicts, make this study still more important. The methodological steps carried out were: bibliographic / documentary review and field visits. The main socioenvironmental conflicts verified at the site were: extremely conflicting land distribution; environmental degradation at Lembe Beach and overfishing. When focusing on Lembe Beach, two conflicts stand out: the irregular construction of tents (bars and restaurants) and the disposal of their waste directly in the sea / mangrove.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-10-20) SANTOS, Márcia Cristina; BASTOS, Rodolpho Zahluth; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0697476638482653; LOPES, Luis Otávio do Canto; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1013147545099173
This paper analyzes socio-environmental conflicts, limits and possibilities in the context of the shared management of the Marine Master Lucindo Extractive Reserve (RESEX), in the municipality of Marapanim. Among the general aspects of RESEX, one that deserves to be highlighted is its recent creation, a factor that allowed monitoring from the embryonic stages of management. RESEX does not yet have a Management Plan in place, which provides the opportunity to suggest intervention techniques, and reinforces the relevance of the research. This work presents an article that discusses RESEX's socioenvironmental conflicts. In this article, the main socioenvironmental conflicts verified were overfishing, degradation of mangroves, predatory extraction of crab, extraction of wood in mangrove and dry land areas, improper disposal of solid waste, fires, accumulation of solid waste in rivers and streams, and land conflicts. With that, the bases were created to deal with the second article, which deals with the limits of shared management considering the existing conflicts. At this stage, the analyzes were restricted to the Deliberative Council, since this is the main instrument of shared management. The result of the reflections in this article pointed out that the limitations of shared management in the RESEX are: inefficiency of the information system among the majority of councilors, low level of participation of the population, difficulty in mediation regarding the interests of the members of the Deliberative Council, weak communication between the RESEX communities and the implementation of the Integrated Management Center (NGI). From these results, it was possible to think of techniques to be suggested in order to better deal with these limits. The techniques aimed at increasing social participation, income generation opportunities, strengthening interrelationships and partnerships between Council institutions, training and awareness of all those involved, increasing the dissemination of information about RESEX, encouraging communication between communities, with an emphasis on those furthest from the city center, encouraging organization and proactivity, in addition to the search for continuous improvement.

(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2021-08-23) TORRES, Maria Augusta Martins Rodrigues; NAHUM, João Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9009465125001273
This dissertation is a case study on the reproduction of the beiradeiro (riverine) way of life in the middle Xingu river region. The study analyzes three aspects of the way of life that produced this place, from its origin to the present day. The former Belo Horizonte seringal (rubber state), more than 300km distant from Altamira's town, in the state of Pará, was inhabited by non-indigenous migrants since the last years of the 19th century. Today, in this same space, there are riverine families living in the Bela Vista community, which since 2008 has been part of the Rio Xingu Extractive Reserve. The study shows how beiradeiro’s way of life has been reproduced in this place, the dynamics of the use of space, the work involved in the support of families and the social relations existing in the place, comparatively in the “time of the seringais” and in the “community time”.

This study aims at investigating the environmental education actions in Cuinarana Extractive Reserve, maily, considering these points: analyze the environmental education actions developed by the several actors in the RESEX area; inquiry the possible contributions of Environmental Education to the management of the Reserve; suggest guidelines for RESEX management. The conceptual frameworks guiding this study are: Environmental Management, Participatory Management in Conservation Units and Environmental Education, analyzing its socio-environmental aspects, based on the actions of public managers and the community neighboring the reserve. The research locus is Cuinarana Marine Extractive Reserve, based in Magalhães Barata County, in the northeast region of Pará State, Brazil. The method chosen for the development of this research is the case study, with a qualitative approach, it involves bibliographical and documentary review on the field. Upon the investigation, the results show that environmental education actions carried out by local actors have little relation to participatory management in UC, and that there is a lack of knowledge about the purposes and importance of RESEX, caused by the lack of information and disarticulation among the actors.

“Essa casa não é do INCRA, essa casa é minha”: efeitos funcionais e simbólicos do crédito habitacional em uma Resex marinha da Amazônia.
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-02-01) ALVES, Débora Melo; RIBEIRO, Tânia Guimarães; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1193175057010343; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1683-3659
The objective of this dissertation is to analyze the implementation of the Housing Credit of the II National Program for Agrarian Reform (II PNRA) in the Caeté-Taperaçu Marine Extractive Reserve (REMCT), which enabled the construction of housing for a portion of the population. REMCT is located in the municipality of Bragança, and it is a territory where fishermen and crab catchers live. This analysis seeks to identify how the local dynamic affects and modifies the functional propositions of housing, which is also constituted by its symbolic dimension, which is inscribed in the life history of the actors and in the way of living in a Resex; and, if the housing policy in question enabled gains in the quality of life of those contemplated by it. The methodology used is predominantly qualitative, based on a bibliographical review, on the analysis of interviews with REMCT residents, leaders and technicians, and on minutes and official documents. Quantitative data collected on official bases are used in a complementary way, with a view to emphasizing the main issues highlighted in the interviews. With regard to the theoretical field, I start from the perspective of sociology that makes it possible to analyze the relations between State and society, highlighting the importance of actors, processes and structures, with emphasis on the social dimension (CORTÊS and LIMA, 2012), and through this approach allow to refine the understanding of the role of social groups, whose interactions have powers to influence the strategies, projects and results of public policies (LASCOUMES and LE GALÈS, 2012). The results have shown that the II PNRA Housing Credit policy has the potential to reduce inequalities, because the construction of housing for impoverished populations provides a roof over which to live and brings functional structures such as bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom and water. piped, capable of providing more quality of life. On the other hand, the public policy in question did not consider regional or environmental aspects, and as it is a type of Conservation Unit, the implementation of the policy should dialogue with the issue of sustainability of the territory, also considering the participation of local populations in the construction and implementation of the housing policy.

Potencialidades e limites do extrativismo para o desenvolvimento sustentável local
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2010-06) SILVA, Almira Martins Silva e

    (2010-12) TEISSERENC, Pierre
The article discusses the subject of recognition of traditional knowledge in the environmental context of social movements and territorialization of public action which usually follows a claim for territory which belongs to social groups. This claim is expressed as a global claim which comprehends the statute of traditional populations, land use, the means of production which they develop, their means of collective organization and the recognition of their identity as a culture. Therefore, the paper presents a synthesis of the debates which follow that claim of recognition within the Brazilian Amazon, and the challenges to which this acknowledgement shall respond, in special the bonds between the territory of possession and the culture of these populations; between this culture and their means of land occupation and exploration; the social and economic efficacy and the means of production that they have been able to understand. This claim questions the ability of academic knowledge to question once more the man-nature relation that have inspired them. Before such challenge, Edgar Morin’s project finds all relevance and allows understanding whichever is utopic in propositions such as the Extractivist Reserves. Finally, we refer to the differences between green and brown environmentalization into consideration natural resources as heritage resources.

Extractive Reserves constitute an environmental public policy originated by a process of social struggle in search of fair and balanced relations in traditional territories. The main interest in the creation of the Reserve is the possibility of the residents of these areas to live according to their way of life, however, its implation brings changes in social and environmental relations due to the legal-administrative structure that the Reserve presents. Thus, using a methodological approach to bibliographical research and field research, this research analyzed how users appropriated the Extractive Reserve category in their territory, and in a specific way, how local social actions were undertaken in the process of creation and implementation of the RESEX researched: the Marine Extraction Reserve Mãe Grande de Curuçá - PA. Mãe Grande has its specific context about the coastal and marine zone of Pará, its appropriation by the users, related to the benefits of housing and development granted by federal government policies, and the Reserve presents, as one of its main challenges, the strengthening and mobilization of the community base, through the support of local leaders to collectively exercise the management of the Unit.

Historically, women carry out agricultural and extractive activities in the Brazilian Amazon, but their importance is still not recognized, making access to specific rights and benefits difficult. This work aimed to promote the inclusion and social valorization of women in productive and economic activities related to forest management to contribute to the local development of communities located in the Verde para Semper Extractive Reserve, municipality of Porto de Moz, in the state of Pará. research was carried out from 2021 to 2022 and characterized the profile of women involved in Community Forest Management in the communities belonging to the Community Association of Belém de Porto De Moz – ACBEM of RESEX and analyzed the organization of women in the communities in which they are inserted to identify factors that limit their participation in activities related to Community Forest Management and promote the technical training necessary to carry out forest management and training to value women's work in forestry activities. The survey demonstrated that women in ACBEM are generally in stable unions, most of them users of the Bolsa Família Program-PBF, with low education, with ages ranging between 23 and 65 years old, with an average of 2 and 4 children and that Most of them declared themselves to be “homemakers” or family farmers. It was found that when activities are carried out by women within forest management, they are permeated by resistance. The research resulted in the development of technical material to support women's work organizations in activities related to community forestry management and technical material for forestry activities.
