Dissertação Acesso aberto (Open Access) Análise da relação entre qualidade de vida no trabalho, comprometimento organizacional e a intenção de permanecer na organização a partir da percepção dos servidores de uma instituição de ensino superior pública(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-03-28) CARDOSO, Lídia Maria Begot Bento; MARTINS, Harley dos Santos; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3094067019584624The multidimensional needs of employees can directly impact their choice to stay or leave the organization they are a part of; therefore, investing in quality of work life has become an advantageous strategy to improve working conditions, retain employees, and foster the expected organizational performance. The present study aimed to analyze the perception of employees in a public higher education institution (HEI) regarding "Quality of Work Life" (QWL) and its relationship with "Intention to Stay in the Organization" (IS), with this relationship mediated by "Organizational Commitment" (OC). A theoretical study was carried out on the selected constructs, with the creation of research hypotheses. Methodologically, the research has a descriptive and quantitative approach, with path analysis through structural equation modeling. Data were obtained from a questionnaire composed of 45 items, with 148 respondents. The results confirmed only 4 out of 15 formulated hypotheses, namely that only the QWL dimensions of "Training and Development" and "Job Satisfaction" demonstrated significant value in predicting the intention to stay, with the mediation of organizational commitment in the relationship also confirmed. Thus, it is concluded that employees who perceive quality of life in the work environment are more likely to stay in the organization, which can positively affect organizational performance. This study contributes academically to the Brazilian literature that has a shortage of investigations of these variables through structural equation modeling, and practically to strategic management by highlighting the importance of quality of work life and organizational commitment in talent retention. This research was based on our involvement in the National Program for Education in Agrarian Reform and the Program for Support to Higher Education in Graduation in Field Education, the concern was based on the perspective of understanding how the public university, despite Market demands and those of the Regulatory State, assumes the important role in the resumption of the education debate as a public good and in partnership with social movements and other institutions take on the challenge of offering higher education courses for the rural population. Self-efficacy refers to self-assessment regarding one's own abilities to achieve goals, while academic engagement expresses a positive behavior of satisfaction related to learning characterized by vigour, dedication and absorption. Considering these aspects, the objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between engagement in studies and self-efficacy in Business Administration students linked to Federal State Education Institutions in the state of Pará. For that, an exploratory and descriptive survey was carried out with non-probabilistic sampling for accessibility with 417 respondents. Data collection was online and data processing used structural equation modeling (PLSSEM). The results confirmed the positive and significant relationships between engagement and self-efficacy and the conclusions recommend strategies to increase students' self-efficacy and engagement through teacher training and encouragement to the development of new teaching-learning methodologies. Future research can expand the investigation to other courses and institutions and employ qualitative data processing techniques.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Memória de docentes universitários: resistência e luta no campus universitário de Abaetetuba(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-12) OLIVEIRA, Mara Rita Duarte deThis article is part of a broader research on the teachers of the Abaetetuba University Campus, which aimed to present the results of the research entitled Teaching memory and resistance narratives at the Federal University of Pará, from 2013 to 2017, part of the research financed by PIBIC / UFPA and another carried out without funding. The research was carried out with professors from the Abaetetuba University Campus, with the central objective of interpreting the strategies and devices of teacher resistance to the imposing models of installation of the heteronymous and neo professional University, from the teaching memory focusing on the narratives of the teachers of the Abaetetuba University Campus. Thus, we found that teachers are based on reflection as a way to experience and understand the sphere of the world of life and the system, using intellectual work as an activity of knowledge production and active participation in the University.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Reflexões sobre pessoas surdas: problematizando a diferença(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-12) PEIXOTO, Elenilce Reis Farias; ARAÚJO, Marília do Socorro Oliveira; SOUSA, Rosângela do Socorro Nogueira deFaced with the context of inclusion in universities, deaf people bring with them a different language from which it is widely shared in the academy by a group that is mainly listening. Thinking about this linguistic issue also implies ways of looking at the other. Thus, this work has as main objective to reflect on the sign language as a cultural artifact that marks the difference of deaf people as socioanthropological subjects. For this work, the methodological basis is anchored in an exploratory research, based on the literature review. The main theoretical subsidies are Silva (2000), Bhabha (1991), Woodward (2000), Skliar (2003; 2013), Lacerda (2000; 2014), among others. The results show that it is essential to conceive the deaf from their linguistic difference, their identities are constructed and marked through difference. Libras, the deaf and their visual experiences, determine the set of differences in relation to any other group of subjects.Artigo de Periódico Acesso aberto (Open Access) Universidade e trabalho: a função social da educação frente ao mundo do trabalho(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013-09) ARAÚJO, Ronaldo Marcos de LimaWe recoup the work concept as vital activity by means of which the man satisfies its necessities, produces the culture and institutions as the State, we rescue some theses on the relation between the work sphere and education sphere and, from the understanding that the function of the work and the education is to produce the humanizing, we problematized the manners as the work is being done at Brazilian Amazônia, marked for a predatory use of the work force and of the environment. Finally we raised some considerations about the necessity of the education in general and of the university, particularly, articulated with a social project of valuation of the work and preservation of the material and incorporeal wealth of Amazônia.
