Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A Análise de assunto no contexto museológico: aplicação do protocolo verbal individual nos museus da UFPA e MPEG(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-02-24) CARVALHO, Raul de Azevedo; REDIGOLO, Franciele Marques; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1678579864255236; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6277-2960Discusses subject analysis as a way of representing the essence of a document, making it possible to recover it within a system, consisting of the first and most important stage of the Indexing process. However, there is a lack of methodologies in the literature in the field of Museology for the practice of subject analysis in the context of museums, an aspect that influences the adequate retrieval of information in these spaces. This problem drove this research, whose objective is to map how the processes of subject analysis occur in the cataloging of museological objects, aiming to improve the strategies of dissemination and retrieval of information in museums. As specific objectives it has: a) To carry out a theoretical study on the representation of information in museums; b) Conduct a theoretical study on subject analysis in indexing and verify the subsidies for indexing in museums; c) Identify whether the process of subject analysis in indexing occurs in the practice of cataloging museological objects, through the application of the Individual Verbal Protocol. To achieve these objectives, it employs an exploratory research with qualitative analysis of the data collected using the technique of Individual Verbal Protocol applied to nine professionals from two institutions that have great performance in the Amazon context, the Federal University of Pará and the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. . As a result, it was possible to identify that the museum professional is unaware of the subject analysis process, which leads to inconsistencies in the user's information retrieval. In this context, suggestions are made for a model of documentary reading to help professionals in the process of analyzing the subject in the museological context. It concludes that subject analysis, as the first step towards indexing, needs to be well designed through the elaboration of norms and guidelines that need to consider the information needs of the user community that use the museum institution.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uma análise do discurso do grupo de trabalho representação e organização do conhecimento no âmbito dos Encontros Nacionais de Pesquisa e Pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação - ENANCIBs(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-05-31) COSTA, Marcos Oliveira da; BARROS, Thiago Henrique Bragato; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0339496971217162; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7439-5779The Knowledge Organization (CO) has been present since the beginning of Information Science (CI), so works related to this area (CI) are considered important. The research aims to identify the discursive positions present in the studies elaborated within the scope of the National Meeting of Research in Information Science (ENANCIB), for this, it will use the theoretical contributions provided by the Discourse Analysis (AD), specifically the one of French origin, having Michel Pêcheux as its precursor, which together with Michel Foucault are the two main authors that will be used as a theoretical framework of AD in the research. Regarding the research questions, it was necessary to identify the paradigms that influence the work in IC within the scope of Enancib's Work Group 2 (GT2), so that there is more clarity in the studies developed within this line of research and also investigates how AD can contribute to the advancement of CI. This research is justified by the lack of studies focused on the theoretical-methodological area in IC. Thus, it aims to: identify the discursive and ideological aspects that permeate the scientific production of IC within the scope of ENANCIB, more specifically in the Knowledge Representation and Organization work group; analyze how investigations on OC and IO are currently taking place within the scope of the event; identify the main paradigms that influence research in this area; understand what and for whom the Knowledge and Information Organization serves within the scope of ENANCIB; to point out the differences and similarities present in the speeches elaborated in the area of OC and IO within the ENANCIB. The main methodological instrument will be the French-based AD, to carry out the research, the works published in ENANCIB in the years 2014 to 2019 were used. BE) playing an important social, educational, informative, and cultural role, until the end of the 20th century, the theme did not receive due scientific recognition in Brazil. From the beginning of the 21st century, the discussion of the theme was endorsed, mainly, by the legislative debate that resulted in Law 12.244/2010 on the universalization of the school library in the country and caused an impact on technical and scientific communication on the subject, generating numerous studies on the production of this theme, which served as a reference for this work, compiled through narrative review (ABREU; GONÇALVES, 1998; CAMPELLO, 2003; CAMPELLO et al., 2007; CAMPELLO et al., 2013; LEMOS, 2015; SILVA, 2015 ; SILVA; VENTORIM, 2016; PASQUIM, 2016; GASQUE; CASARIN, 2016; OLIVEIRA; CAMPELLO, 2016; SILVA; OLIVEIRA, 2017; RITA; BLATTMANN, 2018; OLIVEIRA, 2019; OLIVEIRA, 2019; ROCHA; SANTO, 2019). This research seeks to analyze the Brazilian scientific production on BE in postgraduate studies in Information Science (IC). The study's overarching goal is to examine works defended between 2011 and 2020 with the central axis of investigation being BE in Graduate Programs in CI (PPGCIs). With the specific objectives of: discussing the context of research on BE in Librarianship and CI and reviews of scientific production on the subject in the area; describing the academic work on BE of PPGCIs in the last decade; and identifying, through content analysis (BARDIN, 2010), the thematic categories of the selected works. Therefore, a literature review was carried out with a systematic search in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES to present the report of the characteristics of the collected works, followed by the identification of 14 research themes on BE in the selected studies, compared with the thematic categories from the literature review (CAMPELLO et al., 2013; SILVA, 2015 and LEMOS, 2015). The results point to a low representativeness of BE in PPGCIs research in the last decade (2.94%) and reveal new research themes in postgraduate studies on BEs: information mediation, accessibility, management, information organization, and studies of historical aspects of the school library, in addition to those already known in previous studies. In general, the most discussed categories among the selected studies (Competence in Information, Reading, and the educational function of the BE) reinforce the primary function of the BE of contributing to the formation of students through the processes of reading development and search skills, as well as access and use of information for citizen information literacy.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As ontologias na perspectiva da teoria do conceito e da semiótica discursiva: aspectos teórico-conceituais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-05-07) GOMES, Daniel Libonati; MORAES, João Batista Ernesto de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5819951651545585; BARROS, Thiago Henrique Bragato; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0339496971217162Theoretical study about ontologies, relating its structure (composed of classes, properties and instances) with the theoretical tools of Ingetraut Dahlberg’s Concept Theory and Discursive Semiotics. The research started from the premise that ontologies can have in Concept Theory a safe basis to be constructed, so that the information is understood by a semantic perspective. However, it was hypothesized that, if the ontologies were based on the theoretical tool of Discursive Semiotics, it would be possible to obtain a higher theoretical subsidy and, consequently, to enable the construction of more efficient ontologies that would allow an improvement both in the use of the ontologies for knowledge representation and for the interoperability between different systems, considering that the information approach as discourse acts on the basis of the phenomenon of signification, that is, it is more in depth than the semantic approach through which ontologies are currently constructed. Thus, we tried to answer the following question: how can Discourse Semiotics contribute to the understanding and construction of ontologies? In view of this, the bibliographic and descriptive research was carried out in four phases: the first one, a bibliographical review; the second one, whose objective was to understand how the Concept Theory relates to the structure and construction of the ontologies and how this same structure can be adapted to the concepts brought by Discursive Semiotics; the third, with the development of two ontologies, one based on Concept Theory and another based on Semiotics; and the fourth, comparing the two theoretical approaches and the two ontologies, trying to highlight the differences and similarities between them. Finally, it was concluded that the hypothesis formulated is valid, but with some reservations: the ontologies based on Discursive Semiotics, although can be constructed and used, features elements of arbitrary and uncommon naming, so that they may not completely obey the criteria that an ontology must meet (complicating ontology reuse, for example). Nevertheless, Semiotics certainly contributes to a better understanding of these organizational systems in their structure and in what concerns the concepts that are inserted in them.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Representação arquivística: o papel do CIA e do CONARQ para o desenvolvimento de políticas de descrição(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-05-09) MARTINS, Wanessa Rodrigues; BARROS, Thiago Henrique Bragato; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0339496971217162The representation of information in Archival Science is understood as a process of organization consisting of several phases, among them: appraisal, classification and description. It focuses on representation focusing on the activity of archival description, since it recognizes that this, being a research activity and that seeks, in the detail of the content and the documentary context, represent the information contained in archives using research instruments, and needs to be appropriated by reality of the archives in the public and private scope of these. In this way, the purpose of this research is to verify the possibility of obtaining theoretical and methodological parameters, through the CIA (International Council of Archives) and CONARQ (National Council of Archives) with a view to proposing political guidelines of description. It has as specific objectives to analyze theoretically and conceptually the concept of description in Archivology; present the CIA and CONARQ, as well as their respective publications concerning the archival description and identify theoretical-conceptual and practical elements capable of subsidizing the creation of description policies in archives. Qualitative research, of a documentary nature and descriptive orientation, initiated by exploring the literature of the literature concerning the themes through books and databases, by the descriptors: "archival representation", "archival description", "standards of description", "policies archives” and the CONARQ and CIA websites. The results reveal a range of normative products and instructions that can provide support and support for the development of policy guidelines in file descriptions. It is concluded, according to the results, the archival description, seen from the perspective of information representation and underpinned by policies of archival description is a kind of facilitator for the organization and representation in files, and does not signify an end in itself.
