Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Acidentes com animais aquáticos em pescadores artesanais em um município da costa Amazônica: do levantamento ao tratamento(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2019-06-18) SILVA, Patrícia Fernandes da; MARTINELLI FILHO, José Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2080628833884538Accidents with aquatic animals may occur whenever men invade the animal’s environment or handle it without proper care. Many studies reported cnidarians, stingrays, catfishes, toadfishes and others as dangerous to man, nevertheless information is scarce and inconclusive for the Brazilian North region. The frequency of accidents is probably high at the Pará state since fisheries is an important activity, although the cases are not adequately registered. Artisanal fisheries are an economic and socially important activity for the coastal municipalities in the Brazilian Amazon and gathers a great number of fishermen. Artisanal fishermen, are thus associated to a great risk of accidents caused by aquatic animals. The present study analyzes the frequency and variability of the occurrence of accidents with aquatic animals on artisanal fishermen, and related to different fishing strategies. It also explores the ethnobiological knowledge about the causative animals, treatment methods and accidents prevention. Data was collected at São Caetano de Odivelas municipality (Pará state), where traditional communities are sustained by artisanal fisheries. A total of 154 interviews were collected, gathering socioeconomic and ethnobiological information about accidents with aquatic animals. Accidents occurred in 98,7% of the interviewers and were associated to the daily labor from artisanal fisheries. Stingrays, catfishes and toadfishes were responsible for the most of the accdients (81,6%), independent from the different fishing strategies. The search for medical care was uncommon after a accident (26,3%) and the recommended medical procedures were no adopted by the fishermen. The number of accidents was higher with a lower scholar level among the fishermen (p < 0,001). In order to reach the artisanal fishermen, a didactical product (a calendar) was developed, with information to aid the avoidance, treatment and procedures after an accident with an aquatic animal.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Contaminação invisível - uma proposta para divulgação e visibilidade e visibilidade aos microplásticos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2022-08-10) CARVALHO, Renan Almeida de; MARTINELLI FILHO, José Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2080628833884538Solutions that are microplastics derived from commercial microplastics, or even by industry, by some plastic fragments caused by higher tempering and plastic, chemical and biological reduction. As well as their material, microplastics also have distinct physical properties such as density, for example, which can primarily determine the dynamics of the position of these particles in the environment. From this, it is possible to find that we can find all microplastic particles of water in an ambient column. Therefore, microplastics can contaminate both the biota present in the water column and in the bottom of ecosystems. In order to contribute to the environmental sciences for teaching the water column for the microplastic work environment and for the project as the auxiliary product for water in water environments, water packs for the environment of low density polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) with high relative density. In order to validate the application of the product as a didactic tool, the study was applied to two classes of the 7th year of elementary school. The class was an applied theoretical class and the second class was on the MP theme, and the second class was an applied class, the model and the subject. After analyzing the question answered by the classes, it was observed that when the model was presented in the class, there was a significant difference in the proportion of correct answers for six from the eight questions. This indicated a positive relationship between the use of models as a tool to aid in the teaching of Environmental Sciences.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Horto de plantas medicinais e sua aplicabilidade no ensino para graduação em farmácia e áreas afins(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-05-29) XAVIER JÚNIOR, Sebastião Ribeiro; FERREIRA, Cristiane de Paula; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7804816854015308Men seek in nature resources to improve their own living conditions, making us completely dependent on plants, which in turn are present in human life in the most different ways. However, the accelerated deforestation in the region, where there is a natural occurrence of several medicinal species, requires rapid action to rescue, conserve and study these vegetables. In this way, the installation of plant gardens associated with the use of a booklet, can contribute significantly to studies in several areas of knowledge. In this perspective, the present work aims to create a vegetable garden composed of medicinal plants and a booklet about them in the pharmacy course at UFPA, in order to subsidize research, teaching and extension for this and other undergraduate courses. The total of 42 species of plants were considered medicinal for the creation of the vegetable garden. The plants were collected and taken for identification at the IAN herbarium (Embrapa Amazônia Oriental), all materials were photographed and inserted in the vegetable garden. The data generated were used to produce the booklet of medicinal plants. For to assess the vegetable garden, a course on medicinal plants was prepared and organized with undergraduate students and technical level, in which two questionnaires (I and II) were applied, with the purpose of providing information on the knowledge related to the theme before and after the course. For the validation of the booklet, the product was sent to researchers and teachers for evaluation and suggestions. Thus, the medicinal plant garden was created with a total of 42 species, at UFPA, in an area of 40m x 20m. For the validation of this tool, 46 students who participated in the course were interviewed with the presence of six institutions: UFPA, UFRA, IFPA, UNAMA, COSMOPOLITA and ESAMAZ. The courses represented were: Pharmacy (38 students), Forest Engineering (3), Nursing (3) and the Technical Course in Environment (2), the research confirmed the students' interest in a space like the garden, demonstrating some knowledge about medicinal plants and emphasizing the importance of a space for their professional training. Regarding the booklet, 22 professionals (teachers and researchers) in the area, analyzed the material and confirmed that they could use this teaching material (100%) as a resource in conjunction with the vegetable garden in their classes, emphasizing the importance of using materials that escape conventional and talk to the students' reality. In general, all respondents understand the importance of products like these (vegetable garden and booklet) for the enhancement and increase in the teaching of botany, highlighting the importance of a space for the development of the medicinal plants theme and its use linked to didactic material.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Igarapés amazônicos e seus usos para recreação e lazer: uma proposta de ensino investigativo para alunos do curso técnico em meio ambiente(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-10-01) ROCHA, Cristiane de Almeida Belém; FRANÇA, Jessika Paiva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6056182612110122; HTTPS://ORCID.ORG/0000-0002-0201-8867; FERREIRA, Cristiane de Paula; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7804816854015308The Amazonian streams are aquatic ecosystems with multiple uses, including recreation/leisure. In the Amazon region, streams with this purpose are called resorts, and structures are installed in them that cause environmental impacts that can vary depending on the degree of anthropization of the location. To assess such impacts, Rapid Habitat Assessment Protocols (PARH) are excellent resources for the environmental diagnosis of aquatic ecosystems, since they are low-cost and do not require specialized labor. Our objective is to analyze the environmental vision that students of technical education in the environment have in relation to the Amazonian streams and to expand scientific knowledge about the ecology and impacts of resort installations on these ecosystems. To achieve the proposed objective, an investigative teaching proposal was conducted for students in the 2nd year of Integrated High School (EMI)-Environmental Technician, at EETEPA Vilhena Alves in Belém, PA, organized in five stages: i) survey of previous ideas, ii) brainstorming, iii) theoretical class, iv) practical field class, v) evaluative questionnaire. As a result, an Investigative Didactic Sequence (IDS) was developed, which is a methodological strategy to evaluate, together with students in technical training, the degree of human interference in the streams used as bathing areas in the Amazon region. This strategy promotes technical and professional training, raising community awareness to recognize and take significant measures to mitigate the degradation of natural habitats. Additionally, it serves as a pedagogical resource capable of promoting and expanding the teaching of environmental sciences in the Amazon region.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A responsabilidade socioambiental e a formação inicial de novos gestores: experimentos sociopedagógicos em uma IES no município de Abaetetuba/PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2020-03-30) MELO, Breno Anderson Pereira; RAVENA CAÑETE, Voyner; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9961199993740323; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8528-3086The current corporate scenario seeks to integrate social and environmental elements in the management process, where organizational effectiveness would be much more than allocating resources and maximizing results, it would involve the ability of managers to harmonize business management and Social and Environmental Responsibility in the search for sustainability.
