Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Educação ambiental e prática pedagógica: estratégias para o uso racional da água em uma escola pública do município de Santo Antônio do Tauá/Pará(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-12-07) BOUTH, Raimundo Nonato de Souza; ARAUJO, Maria Ludetana; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0282298023451578Environmental Education and its pedagogical practices, when worked in an interdisciplinary way and based on critical macro trends, are mechanisms indicated to lead the school community to think and propose effective solutions to problems that are affecting or that will affect the availability of water, such as scarcity, waste and pollution. This research was developed in the only full-time state high school, in the municipality of Santo Antônio do Tauá, in Pará, and was based on the following question: How can Environmental Education and its pedagogical practices be instruments for rational use of water in the municipality of Santo Antônio do Tauá? Regarding the objectives, the research methodology is descriptive, when its approach is qualitative, using technical bibliographic and documentary procedures supported by data collection through a mixed questionnaire applied to 17 teachers who work with 1st year high school classes. full time, in addition to field research. The results obtained indicate a lack of knowledge on the part of the target audience about the macrotrends of Environmental Education and a lack of interdisciplinary pedagogical practices in Environmental Education, consequently without materiality to generate sustainable and critical attitudes in the school community about problems related to water and the need of its rational use. To seek improvements and organization in pedagogical practice during Environmental Education classes, in particular, when approaching the object of knowledge water and its context in SDG 6, an educational product was created based on a Didactic Sequence (SD) entitled “If It’s water, I’ll take care of it”, based on the theory of problematization through the Arco de Marguerez, a strategy validated by teachers and included in the Pedagogical Political Project to be a constant pedagogical practice at school.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Consumo e descarte de óleos vegetais comestíveis: proposta de sequência didática como estratégia de ensino das Ciências Ambientais(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-27) PEREIRA, Milton Nazareno Monteiro; SILVA, Cléber Silva eThe changing eating patterns of societies have increased the consumption of fried foods, which is directly associated with the onset of various diseases. Vegetable oils resulting from these preparations are a potential environmental pollutant when discarded inappropriately. The purpose of this study is to research the consumption and disposal of edible vegetable oils by third-year high school students in Chemistry classes, by proposing the development and application of a Didactic Sequence (DS) using active methodologies, in order to promote teaching of Environmental Sciences and provide the target audience with the opportunity to change their behavior regarding consumption and disposal of these compounds. The applied methodology was a quantitative-qualitative approach, using action research to obtain data using observation techniques, questionnaires, conversation circles, semi-structured interviews and bibliographic/document analysis. This research was carried out at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pará - IFPA/Campus Belém with 2 classes from Chemistry and Systems Development courses, totaling 46 students. With a view to deepening the debate on the subject, the general aim of this dissertation is to create an interactive almanac entitled “Waters: a path of discovery”, aimed at students in the 4th year of elementary school, for teaching environmental sciences in everyday school life. The specific objectives were: to debate the relationship between water and the city over time; to discuss the main theoretical approaches to the almanac as an educational resource for meaningful learning; to analyze the construction of the almanac in its stages, taking into account the specificities of 4th grade students in the Early Years of Elementary School; to validate the almanac prepared as a technical pedagogical product from the perspective of the students participating in the research. Considering the environmental and educational field, a qualitative methodology was used, with an exploratory and descriptive approach. As a result, it was observed that the children who came into contact with the almanac showed greater interest in the subject of water and significantly deepened the environmental debate. It should be emphasized that talking about water requires talking about the relationship between nature and society and its problems, such as guaranteeing human rights, especially for children, access to drinking water, basic sanitation, environmental racism, among others; these issues need to be widely debated in order to build sustainability, citizenship and solidarity.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Educação empreendedora e transformadora no ensino médio: (Re) aproveitamento de resíduos sólidos(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-05-22) MOREIRA, Auricilene Gomes; RIBEIRO, Karla Tereza Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2654817572738748; GODOY, Sara Gurfinkel Marques de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3676165040937391This study investigates teachers' perceptions of entrepreneurial education and its integration with solid waste management in high schools, highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability and the development of skills for the 21st century. In the Amazon region, streams with this purpose are called resorts, and structures are installed in them that cause environmental impacts that can vary depending on the degree of anthropization of the location. To assess such impacts, Rapid Habitat Assessment Protocols (PARH) are excellent resources for the environmental diagnosis of aquatic ecosystems, since they are low-cost and do not require specialized labor. Our objective is to analyze the environmental vision that students of technical education in the environment have in relation to the Amazonian streams and to expand scientific knowledge about the ecology and impacts of resort installations on these ecosystems. To achieve the proposed objective, an investigative teaching proposal was conducted for students in the 2nd year of Integrated High School (EMI)-Environmental Technician, at EETEPA Vilhena Alves in Belém, PA, organized in five stages: i) survey of previous ideas, ii) brainstorming, iii) theoretical class, iv) practical field class, v) evaluative questionnaire. As a result, an Investigative Didactic Sequence (IDS) was developed, which is a methodological strategy to evaluate, together with students in technical training, the degree of human interference in the streams used as bathing areas in the Amazon region. This strategy promotes technical and professional training, raising community awareness to recognize and take significant measures to mitigate the degradation of natural habitats. Additionally, it serves as a pedagogical resource capable of promoting and expanding the teaching of environmental sciences in the Amazon region.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Jogos didáticos para o ensino de ciências ambientais na educação básica(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2024-03-07) RODRIGUES, Zelinda Duarte; RIBEIRO, Karla Tereza Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2654817572738748Given the precarious state of the basic sanitation system regarding the quality of water for human consumption, this study aimed to contribute through the application of educational games, focusing on Environmental Sciences themes, to the teaching and learning process of 5th-grade students in the early grades of Elementary School, in public schools in the municipality of São Sebastião da Boa Vista – Pará (SSBV-PA). Among the various science subjects that can be worked on through experimentation, it is worth mentioning the acidity and basicity of substances, as it is a topic that is present in the student's daily life. Under such a scenario, the acid and base themes can be studied through natural indicators, these are natural extracts that have anthocyanins as a base, and they are pigments of the flavonoid class that can be used to determine the pH of various samples. In this sense, Arrabidaea chica popularly known as Pariri is one of several plants that contain anthocyanin. Thus, the present study aimed to identify the acid-base indicator properties of the plant extract of the A. chica species, considering its use as a natural indicator for testing the pH of drinking water and rainwater applied in science teaching. For this, the research was developed in 3 stages: preparation of the alcoholic extract of A. chica, application of the alcoholic extract of A. chica as a pH indicator with students of the 9th grade of elementary school at the Public school Maria Conceição Malheiro in Irituia-PA and the composition of the educational product. The final product of the research was a booklet that addressed the pH of drinking water and how to create a natural pH indicator from the alcoholic extract of A. chica. It is concluded that the A. chica extract can be used as a pH indicator, showing a very satisfactory acid-base color change when applied to the tested samples. It was also evident that there was a great involvement of students and teachers with the proposed experience and how the approximation of scientific knowledge with students' daily lives can favor the teaching-learning process. The final product of the research, when applied to the teachers, had a satisfactory response in the School that was the object of this study and could help other teachers from other places.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Divulgação da década das ciências oceânicas na costa paraense através da aplicação de uma sequência didática.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-09-29) MOTA, Lucílio Lopes; GODOY, Sara Gurfinkel Marques de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3676165040937391; MARTINELLI FILHO, José Eduardo; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2080628833884538The Pará state coast is formed by a rich mosaic of ecosystems, predominantly consisting of sandbanks and mangroves influenced by the Amazon River, as well as channels and islands. The region boasts high biodiversity and requires urgent protection due to environmental impacts such as siltation, erosion, overfishing, and mangrove depletion. In this context, the United Nations (UN) launched the Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (Ocean Decade - 2021 to 2030), with a focus on Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water) of the 2030 Agenda. However, a pressing issue observed today relates to anthropogenic pressure and its consequences on the coastal zone. With the aim of promoting sustainable ocean education for public schools in the region, we employed a qualitative-quantitative methodology in the municipality of São João da Ponta, taking advantage of the regional specificity. For the project's purpose, the ocean was pedagogically and didactically used as a generative theme in the Freirean language in the classroom, always seeking to connect it to the students' reality in the adjacent coastal zone. To validate the research, we developed a booklet on ocean culture, used within a didactic sequence inspired by original UNESCO materials but adapted to the coastal ocean culture of the region. In the classroom, a questionnaire with 10 questions on ocean-related topics was administered before and after the execution of the lessons. Two 9th-grade classes (A and B) from the same school were chosen, with one class having the questionnaire and six lessons, and the other class having the questionnaire and the same lessons with the support of the ocean culture booklet. After a statistical analysis of the questionnaires answered by the classes, it was observed that in Class A, where the booklet was introduced, occurred there was a significant increase in correct answers compared to Class B. This indicated a positive relationship between the use of the booklet in lessons as a fundamental tool for teaching and promoting awareness of the Decade of Ocean Science.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O uso da língua brasileira de sinais para o ensino de Ciências Ambientais e promoção da inclusão em museus.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023-09-29) CARDOSO, Janille de Fátima Aguiar de Almeida; VASCONCELOS, Natália Almeida Braga; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4147570504598344; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8668-0243; SILVA, Ronaldo Adriano Ribeiro da; ttp://lattes.cnpq.br/2020211060475648; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4974-4620The present study deals with the use of Brazilian sign language for teaching environmental sciences and promoting inclusion in museums, with the aim of addressing what are the possible contributions to the learning process that a Bilingual Illustrative Guide brings to deaf visitors to the museum. An mini e-book divided into eight small chapters, interspersed with poems and images, was the chosen product, which was evaluated positively by those who were willing to answer the validation questionnaire. Of the teachers, 60% declared to participate in projects, although some have highlighted that this participation is not routine, but sporadic, and highlighted as difficulties the lack of collaboration, the issue of time and the difficulties of the educational system itself. 37% of community residents consider work to be the biggest challenge or difficulty in Segredinho. In conclusion, it was possible to verify that there is a wide field to be explored using the legends and myths of the Amazon in the promotion of actions both in the area of education and in the area of environmental conservation. Within the scope of this research, many challenges were envisioned and some paths were taken to face them, such as the need for new research and projects both in the school and community spheres.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) A promoção da educação ambiental a partir da problemática dos resíduos sólidos: uma abordagem lúdica.(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2023) RAMOS, Ana Caroline David; SILVA, Cleber Silva e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7673237583688618; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7086-8751Faced with the complex environmental context that we experience today, this study proposes to highlight the problem of solid waste in the school environment, considering that basic education institutions are configured as a space for the community, for cognitive and social development, responsible for the formation of their students, and the environment is conducive to the dissemination of awareness for the preservation of the environment.
